Chapter 3: Attack

"Listen, I'm not in the mood for this. Please stop calling me." Sam says before hanging up. As Sam puts her phone down and starts laying back in her bed, she gets a text from the number. Sam reluctantly picks her phone back up to read it.

"If you don't call me back right now, I'll do to you what I did to Miguel. Only this time, I'll finish the job." The text says. Sam's eyes widen and she is quickly filled with rage. She calls the number back.

"Listen you Cobra Kai asshole, you better leave me alone or else! You have no idea who you're messing with." Sam says. The voice on the other end just laughs.

"I know you're just putting up a front. I saw you crying over your boyfriend just a few minutes ago. The voice says.

"You saw me?" Sam says before realizing what it meant. This person was watching her through her window. Sam quickly gets out of her bed and begins pacing her room.

"Are you a fan of hide and seek? I know that both your dad and mom are gone. Let's see how well you'll fare." The voice says. After the voice speaks, Sam is startled by a knock on her door.

"Hey Sam, it's me." Anthony says.

"Anthony! We have to get out of the house now!" Sam shouts as she swings open her door.

"Whoa! What the hell's happening?" Anthony asks.

"Just follow me!" Sam shouts, grabbing her brother's hand. Sam guides her brother to the stairs and the two stop dead in their tracks. A person wearing a Ghostface costume was at the bottom of the stairs, knife in hand. "Anthony! Go to your room and lock the door!" Sam shouts.

"What the hell's going on?!" Anthony shouts.

"Just go!" Sam shouts. Anthony runs into his room just as Ghostface nears the top of the stairs. With all her might, Sam delivers a front kick right into Ghostface's face. Ghostface tumbles down the stairs and has a hard time getting up. Sam takes the opportunity to run into Anthony's room and lock the door.

"What do we do now?!" Anthony shouts.

"Maybe you can get out through the window?" Sam suggests

"No way! I'm not gonna jump out the window!" Anthony protests. After he says this, Ghostface begins hitting the door. This person was really strong, the door was already getting cracked. Sam quickly runs over to Anthony.

"Get in the closet." Sam orders.

"What are you gonna do?" Anthony asks.

"Fight." Sam says. Even though he's concerned, Anthony still enters his closet. Right as he closes the closet door, the door to his room finally gives and Ghostface is able to enter. Ghostface charges at Sam with the knife. Sam kicks the knife out of Ghostface's hand with a roundhouse kick and then punches them in the face. Ghostface seems to be unaffected and delivers a right hook right into Sam's face. Sam quickly recovers and manages to grab Ghostface's arm when they try to punch again. Sam elbows Ghostface in the face and then kicks them in the chest. This person could seriously put up a fight. Sam is completely unprepared for Ghostface's next move. They charge at Sam and tackle her onto Anthony's bed. Ghostface begins to strangle Sam and Sam desperately tries to fight back. Sam knees Ghostface in the crouch and is able to escape their hands when they step back in pain. Before anything else could happen the distinct sound of a stab can be heard. Ghostface collapses to the ground with a knife in his back. Anthony had emerged from the closet and stabbed Ghostface.

"Oh my god. What did I do?" Anthony stutters.

"You did what you had to. Let's get out of here." Sam says as she and Anthony run downstairs. When the two LaRussos reach the front door, they see their dad enter.

"Woah, what's going on?" Daniel asks. He notices the marks on Sam's neck and his eyes widen.

"The guy who tried to kill Miguel attacked us. He's upstairs right now." Sam says.

"Wait here." Daniel says as he darts up the stairs. When he gets up, he looks in every room, making sure the attacker is gone. Daniel then goes back downstairs.

"Where did he go?" Sam asks.

"I don't know, but we need to get out of here." Daniel says. Sam nods. However, she can't help but be worried that this person is still out there.

Later…

Daniel, Sam, and Anthony arrive at the hospital and see Carmen, Rosa, and Johnny.

"Oh my god. What happened?" Johnny asks.

"The same person who tried to kill Miguel attacked my kids." Daniel says.

"Is everyone alright?" Johnny asks.

"For the most part, Sam got some bruises on her neck but that's about it." Daniel says.

"You think Cobra Kai is behind this?" Johnny asks.

"What else could it be?" Daniel asks. As the two sensei's are talking, Carmen looks at Sam's neck.

"I'm good, right?" Sam asks.

"You should be, but I'm not sure." Carmen says.

"So, how's Miguel doing?" Sam asks.

"He woke up, so that's good." Carmen says.

"We're gonna catch the person who's doing this and make them pay." Johnny says to Sam.

"Do you think it's a student?" Daniel asks.

"He looked to be the size of a teenager." Anthony says.

"Well, it could be Tory. She's the person in the valley who hates Sam the most. She could have also wanted revenge on her ex-boyfriend Miguel." Johnny says.

"It could also be Kyler. Maybe he just wanted revenge on Miguel and Sam." Daniel says.

"Or, it could be…" Johnny says before stopping himself.

"Yeah, It could be Robby. He blames Miguel and Sam for a lot of things." Daniel says.

"Well, we're going to get to the bottom of this." Johnny says.

"Hey, no offense, but maybe we should go to the police before we start a manhunt." Anthony suggests.

Later…

Kyler was sitting by himself in his house, on his phone.

"Hey, anyone wanna come over and hang?" Kyler puts in the Cobra Kai group chat. Most people said they couldn't come because their parents wouldn't let them due to the murder and Miguel's attack. Only one person said they could come.

"I can come over." The text from Piper says.

"Sweet, I'll leave the front door unlocked." Kyler writes. A few minutes later, Kyler hears a knock at the door.

"The door's unlocked, you can just come in!" Kyler shouts. However, the knocks persist.

"Alright, alright. I'm coming." Kyler shouts. As Kyler walks over to the door, he couldn't help but question Piper's behavior. When Kyler opens the door, he's surprised to see not Piper, but Ghostface.

"Uh, Piper? That you?" Kyler questions. Ghostface responds by wiping out their knife and stabbing Kyler right in his left eye. Blood begins pours out of Kyler's eye as he collapses to the ground. When he does, Ghostface stabs him repeatedly in the chest until there's a large pool of blood. Satisfied with their work, Ghostface shuts the door.

Who killed Kyler?
