By sending my 3 monsters to my graveyard, I can summon my favorite monster," Greiger said as his monsters joined into his ace. "Crow is in trouble now," Alex commented. "I'm glad you remember my Flying Fortress SKY FIRE Alex. Although I don't think your friend will have as easy a time at beating it as you did," Greiger said smugly.

"That's not a monster, that's World War 4!" Crow shouted. "If you think he's scary now, just wait 'til his special ability kicks in. By discarding one card, I can destroy any card on your field, like your Silver Shield," Greiger said before his monster aimed its turrets at Mistral and unleashed a barrage of energy blasts, ripping through Mistral with ease.

"And now for his attack. Hit Bora the Spear with Missile Barrage!" he ordered as Sky Fire launched a volley of missiles at Crow's monster, but a barrier appeared between Crow and the shockwave from the attack. Crow explained that since Greiger destroyed Mistral, its effect prevented Crow from taking battle damage once that turn.

"That was too close," Yusei commented. "You've just prolonged your suffering. Now which one of your little birds is going to swoop in and save you?" Greiger asked mockingly.

"I wish I knew that myself. His Sky Fire is looking unstoppable. Not only can he destroy any of my cards during his turn, but if I summon or set a card, he can destroy it and deal me 800 points of damage. If I wanna win, I'd better do it fast, which means it all comes down to this draw," Crow thought to himself as he placed his hand above his deck. "Here we go!" he shouted as he drew a card.

"Another Blackwing. Not exactly what I was hoping for, but maybe my deck's trying to tell me something. Wait, that's it! If I can't stop Sky Fire's effect, maybe I can use it to my advantage like Alex did," Crow thought to himself as he placed the monster he drew onto his duel disk. "I summon Blackwing - Vayu the Emblem of Honor in defense mode."

Alex realized Crow was doing exactly the kind of move he did in the Fortune Cup, mentally praising Crow. "What a waste, I was hoping to destroy something of value this turn, but your monster is about as threatening as a rubber duck. And I can't wait to hear the squeak it makes when Sky Fire takes it out and your life points," Greiger said as Sky Fire hovered above Crow and dropped bombshells on his monster, sending him flying from the blast and almost knocking him off the track.

"Now that was a close one," Crow said as he regained his balance. "And if it gets any closer, I'm afraid Crow might not be around for a victory lap," Yusei said to himself, hoping Crow had a way to turn the duel around. "You ready to take this duel up a notch?" Crow asked as he turned to Greiger.

"I am, but your field's running on empty," his opponent pointed out. "Not for long. I activate Vayu's special ability. You see, Vayu can't be used for a synchro summon when he's on the field, but if he's in my graveyard, I can banish him and another monster from my graveyard from the game in order to synchro summon," Crow explained.

"A synchro summon from the graveyard?!" Greiger exclaimed in surprise. "That's right. And I tune Vayu with the Elphin the Raven that's in my grave in order to synchro summon Blackwing - Armor Master!" Crow shouted.

"And since there's a Blackwing on my field, I can special summon Blackwing - Gale the Whirlwind from my hand."

"You got two monsters for the price of nothing. Perhaps I did underestimate your little birds, but you gotta realize this duel isn't about believing in your deck, it's what I call a numbers game. And after taking a look at your monsters' attack points, I can see your strategy is for the birds," Greiger mocked.

"We'll see about that. Blackwing - Armor Master, attack Flying Fortress SKY FIRE!" Crow ordered. "Is this some sort of joke? Your feathered freak doesn't stand a chance against my monster," Greiger pointed out. "I wonder about that. Attack with Black Hurricane!" Crow shouted.

Armor Master rushed Sky Fire and became wrapped in a cyclone before he crashed into Greiger's monster. But when the wind faded, Armor Master was just fine. "Impossible! Your monster should've been destroyed!" Greiger shouted. "Hasn't anyone ever told you that life's full of disappointments, Greiger? Due to Armor Master's special ability, he can't be destroyed by battle, and I take no damage when he does battle," Crow informed.

Armor Master pulled his fist back, revealing a large black spike embedded in Greiger's monster. "What's that spike for?" he asked. "That's Armor Master's other special ability. When he attacked your monster, he left a wedge counter on it, and by removing that counter, your monster's attack and defense are stuck at 0 for the turn," Crow explained as the counter vanished and cracks began spreading through Greiger's monster.

"And why don't I have Gale take advantage of the situation and attack?" Crow asked as his monster sent a powerful gust of wind at Greiger's monster, making it explode and causing Greiger to spin out of control and crash. "You were right, Yusei. I'm no better than a Dark Signer if I duel with hate in my heart," Crow admitted.

"Have I been dueling with nothing but hatred since I lost my parents? How long until I end up like Greiger?" Alex thought to himself as he reflected on all his actions since he lost his parents. "I'm glad to see you being yourself again," Yusei admitted before they heard the sound of Greiger's duel runner behind them.

They looked back to see Greiger driving out of the debris. "Talk about counting your chickens before they hatch," Crow said. "You scratched my paint job, Crow! You'll pay for that!" Greiger shouted, seemingly unconcerned about his monster. "All that and a scratched paint job is his only concern?" Alex asked.

"I place one card face-down and end my turn, now let's see what you've got," Crow taunted. "Oh you'll do more than see it. Don't forget that this shadow duel's full contact. Just watch this!" Greiger shouted as he started his turn.

"Because of your attack, my field is completely empty, which means I can summon Dark Tuner Doom Submarine from my graveyard."

"Nice move, but I think your submarine's attack points got deep-sixed on the way up," Crow jested. "Then it's a good thing it won't be alone for long. I summon Darksea Rescue in attack mode," Greiger declared.

"Well, looks like this duel's just starting to get interesting, I can't wait to see what happens next," Crow said, but Alex didn't share his sentiment. "Something tells me we don't wanna know," he thought to himself.
