Starscream suddenly jolted awake having had a nightmare he had been having a lot of them lately, He decided to try to go back into recharge when he suddenly heard howling that made him jump.
The seeker hopped out of his berth and rushed to his window to see what was going on and was greeted with the sight of Steeljaw who had climbed to the top of his roof and started howling and screaming, "I'm king of the night!"
Then a crowd of random bots gathered and started chanting, "Knock him off, knock him off!"
Starscream decided to go have some Energon knowing he would never get back to sleep with all that racket going on outside.
The next morning Steeljaw came over and apologized for the late night commotion and explained that he and Thunderhoof had gotten into a high grade drinking contest and they had over did it.
Starscream accepted the apology then left to go to the hospital to visit his friend Knock Out and Ratchet and was also planning to talk to Rung about his nightmares.
When he got there he was greeted by Knock Out and then Ratchet and started chatting with them.
"I'm gonna be racing in the speedia 500 in a few days." Knock Out told the seeker. "And you, Dad and all the Autobots are invited, There's gonna be a lot of games and other events besides the race, it's just gonna be a really fun time."
"I'll be there it might help me get my mind off my nightmares." Starscream agreed.
"So are these nightmares about Night Rain?" Ratchet asked cutting into the conversation.
"Yes I keep dreaming that she has me in her basement again or that she's trying to kill me and anyone I'm close too." Starscream explained letting his wings drop.
"I'm going to talk to Rung before I leave here." He added.
"Don't worry Screamer Night Rain is locked up in an asylum where she can't harm you or anyone else." Knock Out reassured his best friend.
"And I hope she stays there where she can't hurt anyone." Ratchet told them as he looked at Starscream then took an even longer look at his son Knock Out who Night Rain had nearly killed when she was making Starscream's life miserable.
In fact the only good thing that came out of it is that Ratchet had donated some of his energon to Knock Out in order to save his life which lead to him and the younger medic learning that they were father and son.
Though Knock Out was still getting used to calling Ratchet Dad and Ratchet was still getting used to being called Dad but the whole thing had brought them much closer.
Just then Megatron came in to report that Thunderhoof had his head stuck in his window because he lived in the same neighborhood as Starscream and Steeljaw and apparently he had decided to ram the side of Megatron's house after his and Steeljaw's high grade drinking contest, And Megatron had been out that night so hadn't found him till morning, So Ratchet and Knock Out left to get him out.
Starscream then went and spoke to Rung who showed him some calming techniques to help with his nightmares, Then he left to go to Macadam's after thanking Rung.
Starscream had just left Macadam's when he ran into Knock Out again who told him about how it had taken both him and Ratchet to dislodge Thunderhoof from Megatron's window which they both had a good laugh at.
"Hopefully Steeljaw and Thunderhoof have both learned their lesson about having those high grade drinking contests and we won't have to worry about them hurting themselves or something." Knock Out told his friend.
"Yeah it's also really annoying for everyone else who they keep waking up in the middle of the night." Starscream agreed.
The seeker then invited Knock Out to come to his house to hang out for awhile they decided to watch a horror movie, and were having fun, laughing at how dumb the characters were.
When suddenly they heard something crash and what sounded like glass shattering and both mechs run upstairs to where the sound came from.
"What was that?" Asked Knock Out who had his saw out.
"I don't know." Said Starscream who had his missiles ready.
Then they saw what the noise had been it was a brick that had been tossed through Starscream's berthroom window with a note attached to it.
Starscream unfolded the paper and read the note.
"Dead bot walking." Was all it said.
Then Starscream and Knock Out heard a boom come from down stairs and both rushed down with their weapons out, only to be greeted with the sight of Starscream's living room where they had just been sitting on fire.
Starscream wasted no time grabbing the fire extinguisher and fortunately managed to get the blaze out.
"What happened?" Asked Knock Out "How did the fire start we were just down here?"
"I'm betting this had something to do with it." Starscream replied holding up a grenade that had been tossed through the window.
"That could have killed us." Knock Out pointed out feeling lucky that he and Starscream had gone upstairs when they did.
Then he noticed the seeker was looking at something else and he looked at the wall Starscream was staring at and there was bright blue writing sprayed on the wall that looked disturbingly like spelled Energon.
That read.
"You and all your friends will die, I'm going to make you miserable before I finally end you as punishment for rejecting my love." Love Night Rain.
"Oh scrap!" Starscream cried letting his wings drop.
"Want me to call the cops?" Asked Knock Out concerned for his best friend.
"Well duh." Starscream told him. "I think having part of my home blown to bits by a grenade used by a psychopath should be a good reason to called the police."
"Right." Knock Out said then called the police and stayed with the seeker until they got there.
Starscream was now terrified Night Rain had somehow escaped from the asylum and was now after him and his friends and no one would be safe until she was back behind bars.
