The police came a few hours later and confirmed that it actually was spilled Energon the threat had been written in.
Ratchet and Optimus Prime should up a few minutes later to make sure that Starscream and Knock Out were ok.
"Don't worry we're fine but I'm afraid of what Night Rain might try next." Starscream said after telling them what happened.
"Before I got the call about what happened I was about to call to tell you that I got word that she had broken out." Ratchet explained. "I'm glad your both alright."
Then Starscream and Knock Out started talking to Prowl telling him all the details of what happened.
When they went to tell Optimus and Ratchet who had stepped outside when they overheard them talking.
"I'm thinking of retiring as a medic and trying to decide who to leave in charge of the hospital when I do." Ratchet told Optimus.
"I'm sure whoever you choose will do a great job old friend." Optimus said to his friend.
"I'm thinking of having Knock Out take my place." Ratchet explained.
Starscream noticed Knock Out looked nervous at hearing that.
Then the two walked back inside before Optimus or Ratchet saw them.
"Knock Out Ratchet is thinking about leaving you in charge of the hospital why do you look so nervus?" Starscream asked his best friend.
"I don't know if I can handle that kind of responsibility so far my only experience is being the Decepticon medic during the war and working there as a medic I don't know if I can be in charge what if I screw up?" Knock Out told the seeker.
"You won't Knock Out your probably the best doctor I know I would have offlined a long time ago if not for you and Ratchet." Starscream reassured him.
"Thanks Screamer." Knock Out thanked him.
Then they went outside and spoke with Ratchet and Optimus about their conversation with Prowl.
But Ratchet and Optimus didn't bring up Ratchet's plan to retire, But did recommend Starscream stay at a hotel until Night Rain was in custody again fearing his home wouldn't be safe, And Starscream agreed not wanting Night Rain to decide to ambush him in his sleep or something.
That night Starscream check into a hotel and made it through the night without any problems other than nightmares.
The next day was the day of the seedia 500 and Starscream went to Velocitron throw the space bridge and met Knock Out and Ratchet along with the other Autobots, Megatron and some vehicons who decided to attend the event.
And everyone was having a great time attending all the games and events going on before the race.
Then when the race was about to start Starscream wished Knock Out good luck before going and taking a seat in the stands to watch the race.
Then saw a mech with spikes attached to his frame bump into Knock Out as they were approaching the starting line to transform into their alt mode.
"Hey careful with those spikes." Knock Out told the other bot who just shoved by him without so much as apologizing.
"Rude." Knock Out grumbled to himself well rubbing his shoulder where he thought one of the spikes jabbed him, but it felt more annoying then painful so wouldn't interfere with his racing.
Then the race began and Knock Out was in the lead for the first few laps until he suddenly started driving oddly like he was losing control, Starscream and Ratchet who was sitting next to the seeker could both tell something was wrong.
The red spots car kept pulling to the side of the track and seemed like he couldn't keep a straight path as if he was losing control of his alt mode, everyone else could tell something was off with the awkward way the Austin Martin was moving.
They saw Knock Out try to leave the track only for another racer to block his exit and force him to keep driving forward in the race.
Then they got to an off road portion of the track where the others had to watch from a screen and saw Knock Out try to exit again only for another alt mode to rammed him from the side while another one rear ended him making Knock Out's alt mode flip over and roll over the side of the track.
And now to everyone's horror Knock Out was hanging over a cliff by only his back tires that were caught on some railing.
Then one of the cars that flipped him started trying to ram him off the cliff, while a few others racers started trying to intervene while another bot transformed and started lifting Knock Out's tires over the railing at first it looked like the bot was trying to pull him up.
But it turned out that wasn't what they had in mind, As soon as he realized what the bot was doing Ratchet started yelling at the screen pleading with him to stop even though they were to far away on the track for anyone to hear.
Starscream quickly jump up from his seat and changed into his jet mode then flew off hoping to save his friend.
By the time he got there Knock Out's tires had been pulled free and the bot cruelty dropped him over the cliff, Knock Out rolled to the bottom of the cliff and transformed on impact, Starscream saw his best friend laying motionless on the ground after hitting the bottom hard and started flying towards the bottom to see if he was ok just hoping he was alive.
Then the two who made Knock Out crash climbed down and started literally beating him while he was down.
Starscream remembered Knock Out once told him that it was common for Velocitroins to sometimes resort to cheating to win races, But if that were the case here they would have kept driving instead of climbing down to beat Knock Out, these bot didn't care about the race they were just trying to offline Knock Out.
"Not if I can help it!" Starscream hissed as he transformed half way down and slash both bots upon landing between them and started trying to defend Knock Out who was unconscious and unable to fight back.
Starscream fought the bots but it was two against one so the seeker was losing, one of them managed to pin Starscream on the ground while the other started trying to rip his wings off.
Starscream continued to fight them, at least while they were ganging up on him they were leaving Knock Out alone, But at this rate they were either going to kill the seeker or permanently damage him, Starscream was thrashing around trying desperately to get them off him.
Not only was the seeker in pain but he was worried about Knock Out who was still just laying there, he was so still it was hard to tell if the red spots car was dead or alive.
Suddenly Starscream hard blaster fire and saw the now frightened attackers running for their lives they both transformed and drove off and Megatron who had been the one who opened fire on them and saved Starscream's life started to chase after them but decided to help the seeker instead.
"Are you ok?" Megatron asked Starscream after helping him stand up.
"Yes but Knock Out!" Starscream said upon getting back on his peds and both he and Megatron rushed to the downed red medic.
Knock Out was unresponsive and they could tell he was alive but badly injured.
Starscream stayed by his friend while Megatron called the other and asked them to send paramedics who wasted no time ground bridging to their location and Ratchet was the first one to arrive on the scene and rushed to Knock Out's side to start treating and trying to save his son.
Some of the paramedics started to look at Starscream but he told them to take care of Knock Out first knowing he was in worse shape and needed it more.
They quickly loaded Knock Out onto a stretcher and started taking him through a ground bridge to the hospital and Ratchet stayed by his son's side the entire time, With Megatron and Starscream following behind them.
Right before going through the ground bridge Starscream spotted a certain femme smirking at him from the top of the cliff Knock Out had just been dropped from, Starscream recognized her and glared up at Night Rain knowing she had probably had something to do with the attack on Knock Out.
Now for all the seeker knew his best friend could be dying, If Knock Out died and Night Rain turned out to be responsible like Starscream suspected she was he silently vowed to track down and kill her.
Then Starscream hurried through the ground bridge just hoping Knock Out would survive.
