"Look at these Carly! You have to remember! The Carly I know wouldn't seek happiness by trying to destroy the world!" Jack shouted as he held out Carly's glasses. "That's… that's not true!" Carly responded before taking off down the track, Jack following swiftly behind.
"I resurrected as a Dark Signer so that we could rule this world together! That's what I want! That's our destiny!" Carly shouted. "You're wrong! When false destiny tricked me and led me astray, you were the one who made me come to my senses! I'll never forget what you said to me back then, and that's why I'll live the way I choose, just like you said!" Jack responded.
"Changing Destiny has another effect. After it negates your attack, you have to choose whether to gain life points equal to half your monster's attack points, or deal me that much damage," he explained. "What?" Carly asked. "Fortune Lady Earth has 2800 attack points, which means you can either gain 1400 life points or deal me 1400 points of damage, so make your choice!" Jack shouted.
"Jack only has 800 life points, so if I choose the damaging effect, his life points will hit 0," Carly said to herself, confused why Jack would play a card like that. "Why? Even though you avoided Earth's attack, why would you risk taking damage from your trap?" Carly asked.
"It's to show you that there's no such thing as fixed destiny! I believe in you Carly! Choose your own destiny!" Jack shouted. "You're a fool Jack. Even though you kept me in suspense, you're doing what I want in the end. Fine. This time I'll make you mine," Carly said to herself.
Carly turned back and was about to choose the damaging effect, but when she locked eyes with Jack, she couldn't do it. "I choose to gain life points," she said as she was surrounded by a green aura.

Carly opened her eyes, showing they had returned to normal. "Carly…" Jack said, hoping he'd finally broken through to her. He pulled up beside her and saw that her eyes had reverted back. "Carly, you've changed back to normal," he commented. "Jack, I'm sorry. I don't want to do this," Carly admitted.
"I know. You're not the type to hurt others. I know that more than anyone else," Jack responded. Suddenly, Carly's mark glowed brighter and purple mist began to seep off her body. "Carly, what's wrong?!" Jack asked. "It doesn't matter what you want! Since you're a Dark Signer, you're ordered to battle!" a voice shouted in Carly's mind.
Carly cried out and the mist coming off her took the shape of her Earthbound Immortal. "You're the one who dragged Carly in the darkness!" Jack shouted. "Carly, continue the duel and defeat the Signer!" the Immortal ordered before forcing its way into Carly's body through her mouth.
Jack called out for Carly, but when she looked at him, her eyes were glowing entirely purple. "How dare you! Release Carly now!" Jack ordered, but the spirit just laughed. "My turn isn't over yet! I activate Speed Spell - Curse of Destiny! When I have two or more Speed Counters, I can place two Curse Counters on one of my monsters. Instead of attacking, I can remove one Curse Counter to deal you damage equal to half of that monster's attack points," the spirit explained as black chains restrained Fortune LAdy Earth.
"Since Earth already attacked this turn, I can't use this effect. I place two cards face-down and end my turn. The girl who loves you will devour your soul!" the spirit mocked. "How dare you do this to Carly! I won't forgive you! I won't forgive you Dark Signer!" Jack shouted as he began his turn.

I play Speed Spell - Half Seize. Since I have three or more speed counters, I can halve your monster's attack points for one turn and add those lost points onto my life points," Jack explained.

"Now Red Dragon Archfiend has the advantage again," Jack pointed out, much to the spirit's chagrin. "Now Red Dragon Archfiend, take out Fortune Lady Earth with Scorching Crimson Fire!" Jack shouted as his monster cloaked its fist in flames before driving it into Earth, obliterating the monster.

"Carly, wake up!" Jack shouted, but the spirit remained in control. "I activate the trap Inherited Fortune. Since a Fortune Lady monster was destroyed, during my next standby phase, I can special summon up to two Fortune Lady monsters from my hand," the spirit explained.
Jack placed a single card face-down and ended his turn. "Is it too late to do anything?" he asked himself. "My turn," the spirit declared.

"Is there nothing I can do to turn you back to normal Carly?" Jack wondered. "Due to Inherited Fortune's effect, I special summon two Fortune Ladies from my hand. Come, Fortune Lady Water and Wind!" the spirit shouted.

I sacrifice Fortune Lady Wind and Water!" the spirit shouted.
"I know what this means," Jack commented. "After 5000 years, the door to the afterlife opens again! Our souls will feed the new world!" the spirit shouted. "Sacrificed to the Earthbound Immortal… Are they the souls of the people who vanished from Satellite? If the real Carly sees what's happening, she'll blame herself forever and cry in sadness," Jack lamented. "Descend, Earthbound Immortal Aslla Piscu!"

Jack's monster struck its bell, sending a barrage of soundwaves through the air that stopped Aslla Piscu in its tracks. "I set one card and end my turn!" the spirit shouted. "Carly, listen! In the past, I was a person who didn't care about others! To further my ambitions, I betrayed my friends, hurt people who trusted me, and sacrificed everything!" Jack shouted as he remembered Carly's words to him.
"You're the one who taught me that if my heart truly believes, even my damaged heart can be saved! I wish with all my heart! I want to save you, the person I care about most!" Jack shouted. Suddenly, both Jack and his duel runner began to glow red and everyone else's Signer Marks vanished from their arms.
"It's just like what happened with Yusei before," Leo pointed out. "Jack is borrowing our power," Akiza said in the car with Mina. The Mark of the Crimson Dragon appeared on Jack's back, and the top card of his deck began glowing. "I draw!" Jack shouted.

Jack looked at the card he drew and saw it was the same tuner Yusei had summoned against Alex in the hospital, but that wasn't all. While he gazed at the card, he heard Carly's voice calling out to him. "Carly, is that really you?" he asked. "Jack, please end this. I don't want to hurt you or anyone else anymore," Carly pleaded.
"No way! There has to be another way!" Jack argued. "Jack, if you really care about me, please do this," Carly begged. "But, if I do this, you'll be…" Jack began to say, but Carly wouldn't let him finish. "Jack, it's okay. This is my decision. You truly understood me. So please defeat me with your own hands," Carly pleaded.
"I understand. If that's what you want, then I'll do it," Jack agreed before Carly thanked him. "I summon the tuner monster Majestic Dragon!" he shouted.

"It has 6500 attack points?" the spirit exclaimed. "As you wish, I'll defeat you with a single strike!" Jack shouted. "But don't worry, you won't be going alone. My face-down is the trap card Shockwave. When I have fewer life points than my opponent, I can destroy one monster on the field and deal damage to both players equal to the destroyed monster's attack points," he thought to himself.
"This is the destiny I've chosen for myself!" Jack shouted. "I activate the trap Earthbound Release! By sacrificing an Earthbound Immortal, this card destroys all monsters on the field, then you take damage equal to the total attack of the destroyed monsters!" the spirit explained.
"No way! Due to the effect of Majestic Red Dragon, any card effect activated by my opponent that would destroy it gets negated, then my opponent takes damage equal to Majestic Red Dragon's attack points! Are you doing this on purpose?" Jack asked.
Aslla Piscu erupted in flames and flew at Majestic Red Dragon, but he shrugged it off like it was nothing and shot a ball of fire at Carly. Jack called out for Carly as the fireball struck, knocking her off her duel runner.

Jack stopped his duel runner and ran over to Carly, pulling her into his arms and telling her to hang on. "Jack, where are you?" Carly asked, her eyesight going back to how it had been before. "I'm right here!" Jack assured. "It's weird, I can't see anything," Carly responded.
"Hang in there! Look at me!" Jack shouted before he pulled out Carly's glasses and placed them on her face. "I liked rooting for people who try hard, like you Jack. But I only did it because it made me happy. That's why I was punished for my sins," Carly admitted.
"What are you talking about? Everyone has the right to be happy! If that's a sin, then I'm also a sinner!" Jack shouted. "Jack, save the world. I'm rooting for you," Carly confided before she wrapped her arms around him. "I love you Jack," Carly confessed before her body crumbled into dust.
