Meet and Confront

Lelouch, Euphie, Shirley, Naoto, and Kallen were taking in the scene of the town as they were sitting on a hill and watching the river. They had been walking around Karakura Town all day and it was getting to the point that the sun was setting. The four people looked at the sun setting and admired the view. Lelouch looked at the sun setting and remembered his time with Nunnally and Suzaku.

Somewhere in Japan, July 2010atb

Lelouch, Nunnally, and Suzaku were on top of a hill and were looking at the scene.

"It's beautiful." Lelouch said.

"It is?" Nunnally asked.

"Yes, it's wonderful here," Lelouch said as he got close to Nunnally, "it's green as far and the sky is blue and the there's a mountain peak that stands greatly."

"That really does sound wonderful," Nunnally said happily.

"You can feel it," Suzaku said.

"Yes I do," Nunnally said.

The three children smiled.

Flashback End

Lelouch smiled and was happy with the memory had.

"Those were good time," Lelouch said.

"Good time?" Euphie asked as she approached Lelouch and stood next to him.

"Oh I was just thinking about our original world," Lelouch said, "the time Nunnally and I stayed with Suzaku and his father."

"Oh right, that time," Euphie said, "you must have been happy."

"I was," Lelouch said, "we all were… me, Nunnally, and Suzaku."

"Hmm, I envy you," Euphie said.

"Huh, why is that?" Lelouch asked surprised.

"You got to spend time with them back before the war that Britannia waged," Euphie said.

"Oh," Lelouch said, "yeah, I'm sure they would have liked to spend time with you as well."

"Well we do have our time with Rie," Euphie said with a smile.

"Rie," Lelouch said with a smile.

Flashback: Around 130 years back, Raku'uta, Rukongai, Soul Society

Lelouch was sitting on top of the hill and was looking at the view of the Seireitei. Lelouch sighed sadly.

"There you are Lelouch," Rie spoke.

Lelouch turned to see Rie who was smiling.

"Oh Rie," Lelouch said.

"What's wrong Lelouch?" Rie asked as she stood next to Lelouch.

"Oh it's nothing," Lelouch replied.

"Come now Lelouch," Rie said as she sat next to Lelouch, "remember you can talk to me about anything."

"You're nice Rie," Lelouch said, "and you're letting me stay with you and Euphie… even though…"

"Lelouch," Euphie spoke.

Lelouch turned and saw Euphie approaching him and Rie.

"Euphie," Lelouch said.

"It's fine Lelouch," Euphie said as she sat next to her brother.

"Huh?" Lelouch replied confused.

"It's okay to be here," Euphie said, "it's fine to be here with us."

"Even though I'm the one who basically ruined your life and dragged your name through the mud," Lelouch said with sadness and resenting himself, "even though I made you do something that was against your very being, your very core."

"Lelouch, we talked about this," Euphie said.

"Yes but even so…" Lelouch said shaking his head, "I can't forgive myself for what I did."

Euphie sighed and then she thought about it and smiled.

"In that case, then I'll have to keep reminding you," Euphie said.'

"You don't need to do that," Lelouch said sadly.

"Well it's either that or run the risk of you doing something horrible to yourself," Euphie said.

"Huh, Euphie, I don't know what you mean?" Lelouch said with a nervous chuckle.

However Euphie looked at Lelouch with a serious expression and Rie did the same and Lelouch looked away and feeling even more ashamed. Euphie placed her hand on her brother's hand.

"I'm not going to turn my back you," Euphie said.

"I…" Lelouch spoke.

"Even if you can't forgive yourself," Euphie said, "I still want you around."

Rie suddenly rubbed Lelouch's head which surprised Lelouch and both she and Euphie smiled.

Flashback End

"It's one of my pleasant memories," Euphie said with a smile.

"I see," Lelouch said and then he smiled, "so is mine."

"Hey, are we set?" Naoto asked as she, Kallen, and Shirley approached the Kenjima siblings.

"I think so," Euphie said and then she turned to Lelouch, "Lelouch?"

"Actually, if you three don't, there is a place that I want to check out," Lelouch said.

"Lulu?" Shirley asked.

"Lelouch, what is it?" Kallen asked.

"There is a certain place that I remember," Lelouch said.

Meanwhile Kisuke and Kajiro were walking and saw something and it was an old temple.

"This temple," Kajiro said.

"There are people that I think you'll be fine to see," Kisuke said.

"Really?" Kajiro replied.

"Yes," Kisuke said.

Kisuke and Kajiro approached the old temple and they were met by two people and it was Seigen and his older sister Konoka. Kajiro was surprised to see the two.

"Seigen and Konoka Suzunami?" Kajiro spoke.

"Kajiro Sumeragi," Seigen said, "it's good to see you again."

Kajiro was surprised and he looked at Kisuke who smiled. Meanwhile Lelouch, Euphie, Shirley, Kallen, and Naoto arrived at a place that was familiar to Lelouch as he looked around and found something that he recognized.

"There it is," Lelouch said.

The others looked at what Lelouch saw and they saw an old shrine.

"Is this shrine…?" Shirley asked.

"Yes, this is where I first confronted Madd," Lelouch said.

Flashback: 123 years ago

Lelouch got closer and closer and then he looked at a hill and saw a temple at the top and he was sensing the abnormal Reiatsu coming from inside the temple.

"Is this it?" Lelouch asked himself.

Lelouch ran up the hill and went inside the temple and felt strong and unusual Reiatsu emanating from the temple.

"This must be it," Lelouch said.

Lelouch went to the middle and he narrowed his eyes as he looked at the floor. He kneeled on the floor and touched the floor and then suddenly a mark formed on the floor and Lelouch was surprised when he saw the mark it was a sigil.

"This mark," Lelouch said surprised as he looked at something he recognized, "I don't believe this… it can't be… but it's what I see… it's same marking that I saw within the cave of Kamine Island, the entrance to a Thought Elevator."

Lelouch shook his head as he stood up and stepped back.

"I don't get it," Lelouch said in shock, "could it be that Geass exist in this Human World as well?" Lelouch suddenly heard sounds and he looked around, "Who's there?"

Lelouch went outside the temple and continued to look around and then he had his hand in the hilt of his Zanpakuto and had his guard up and then suddenly he felt a presence closing in on him and he quickly drew his Zanpakuto and turned around to block a sword attack. Lelouch pushed his attacker back and the assailant landed on his feet and the assailant swung the sword which was a medieval double edged short sword which had a black hilt, black cross guard, and black circular pommel. Lelouch looked and saw someone who was covered in a black cloak and covered the face with a hood.

"Who are you? Answer me!" Lelouch demanded.

"Well, well, well, what do we have here?" The cloaked assailant said with a chuckle, "A Shinigami."

"Who are you?" Lelouch asked again.

"Heh, it seems that Soul Society has noticed and decided to send someone to investigate," The cloaked assailant said.

"Who the hell are you?" Lelouch asked again losing patience, "Answer me!" Lelouch pointed inside the temple where that was marked symbol was glowing, "Are you responsible for this?"

"And what if I am? I'm guessing that you plan to stop it," The masked assailant comment, "Well too bad boy, I'm not going to allow that."

The cloaked assailant rushed towards Lelouch swinging his sword and Lelouch blocked the attack with his sword again. They clashed their blades and moved fast and as they kept clashing their blades. The cloaked individual jumped up in the air fast and Lelouch used Shunpo to catch him and swung his Zanpakuto and the assailant blocked the attack with his short sword and then he pushed Lelouch back with force making Lelouch land on his feet.

"Just what the hell is going on here?" Lelouch asked, "Why is that mark there?"

"That mark?" The cloaked assailant replied surprised, "Hmm, you sound like you're familiar with that mark."

Lelouch narrowed his eyes, "And if I am?"

The cloaked assailant landed on his feet on the ground and pointed his sword at Lelouch.

"Who are you?" The assailant asked, "What's your name, rank, and division in the Gotei 13?"

"So you're familiar with the Gotei 13, are you?" Lelouch replied surprised.

"I know of it, yes," The assailant answered.

"You didn't answer my question though I asked who you are first," Lelouch responded back.

"If you don't want to tell me," The assailant said, "that's fine… since you're going to die here anyway Shinigami!"

The cloaked individual charged towards Lelouch again with speed and Lelouch used Shunpo to dodge and then he reappeared in the air and brought his left palm.

"Hado#31: Shakkaho!" Lelouch roared shooting a red flame-like Kido.

The cloaked swordsman sliced the Kido into two destroying it and he looked and saw Lelouch very close and almost sliced him but the cloaked individual barely dodged and his cloak got caught by the tip of Lelouch's blade and it was forced off of him. Lelouch looked at the cloak was taken off the person and then he turned and saw the person. It was Madd and then glanced at the temple that was marked. Lelouch suddenly rushed towards the temple and used Shunpo. Lelouch reappeared in front of the entrance of the temple but was surprised to see Madd appeared in front of Lelouch and Madd tried to decapitate Lelouch but ducked the sword swing and used Shunpo and reappeared few meters away from the temple and the man appeared to face Lelouch.

"I told you, I'm not going to let you stop it," Madd said, "I don't care if it's a nuisance to the Soul Society or the fact that it's causing problems to this world, it's for my benefit and I won't let anyone interfere."

"Geass, does that term mean anything to you?" Lelouch asked.

Madd was surprised, "Yes it does… how could you know that, unless…" Madd had a guess and he grinned, "You're originally from the alternate world, the world where three superpowers exists and one of them is the county known as the Holy Britannian Empire. Were you part of the Geass Order?"

"I wasn't part of the Geass Order," Lelouch answered, "in fact, I decimated the Geass Order that was in the Chinese Federation but I did once possess the power of Geass."

Madd was surprised again and then he chuckled as he grinned.

"I see, I see," Madd said as he closed his eyes and then he opened, "I guess it wouldn't be bad to tell you," Madd pointed his sword at Lelouch, "What you see in the temple is sort of a makeshift Thought Elevator I'm trying to create. Before my death, I was a Colonel in the Britannian military and I was also part of the Geass Order under the command of VV before I was executed."

"You were executed?" Lelouch replied, "Why?"

"That's not something you need to know but I will tell you my name," Madd responded, "I am Reginald Madd."

Flashback End

Lelouch looked at the temple with Euphie, Naoto, Kallen, and Shirley.

"I remember," Euphie said, "you mentioned it before."

"So this temple is acting as a makeshift Thought Elevator?" Kallen asked.

"I think so," Lelouch said, "I want to see if it still is."

"It is," A male voice said suddenly.

The five people were surprised as they also recognized the voice. Someone came down crashing on the ground and forced the five people to move out of the way. They looked and saw the source of the voice and who came causing a bit of a small crater on the ground and it was Rolo.

"Rolo, it really is you," Lelouch said.

"Hello Lelouch," Rolo said as he stood up and faced his former brother, "I don't know if you realize how pleased I am to see you again. It's been 30 years since we last faced each other. The last time was back in the Soul Society and you got away from me using your dirty tricks."

Lelouch clenched his teeth glaring at Rolo as the one in question drew his twin swords. Meanwhile Kisuke and Kajiro were within the old temple occupied by the Suzunamis and they sat and faced each other.

"It has been years since we last saw each other," Seigen said.

"Yeah, it has," Kajiro said, "after what happened with that incident, I and many other people were convinced that you and Konoka had died along with Fujimaru and Matsuri," Kajiro thought of something, "wait, did they survive as well?"

"They did," Seigen said, "they are with us as well."

"Oh that's good to hear," Kajiro said.

"Anyway, Kisuke and Tessai has informed us of what has happened," Konoka said and then she turned to Kisuke, "the people who know have also ended here in the Human World."

"That's right," Kisuke said, "Lelouch, Naoto, and their group are here as well."

"Were they victims of schemes by Sosuke Aizen?" Seigen asked.

"No, what happened to them was the result of the battle against the Arrancar Arturo Plateado and my former mentor Bansui Amatsuki as well as the Shinsuikyo," Kisuke informed.

The Suzunami siblings were shocked.

"Wait, the Shinsuikyo?" Seigen asked.

"Yeah," Kajiro said.

"You lost control of it, didn't you?" Konoka deduced.

"Yes I did," Kajiro said, "you warned me but I figured that I would still be able to handle it," Kajiro shook his head feeling shame, "but that was not to be."

"I see," Konoka replied with a sigh.

Meanwhile Lelouch was once again facing Rolo and Kallen, Naoto, Shirley, and Euphie were surprised to see Rolo.

"Rolo, it's you," Shirley said.

"I'll deal with the rest of you after I take care of him," Rolo declared.

"Rolo, you said that makeshift Thought Elevator is still active," Lelouch said.

"Yes it is," Rolo said, and they are other places that are just like this."

"Was this carried out by Amatsuki?" Lelouch asked, "Was he the one that desired this?"

"Yes he was the one," Rolo answered, "I recall that Madd was going on how it was to benefit him but he seemed to have forgotten that it was Mr. Amatsuki who desired these things to happen. Reginald would have been able to set this one up had it not been Mr. Amatsuki's knowledge."

"So he's the one who really behind this," Naoto said.

"I said enough," Rolo said as he turned to Lelouch with his swords in hands, "Lelouch, this time you will die by my hands and then I'll kill the others with you and then maybe, just maybe I'll go to our own Human World and deal with the people there… especially one who has been nothing more than a burden. That weak little girl who couldn't do anything on her own and took help from many people and you had chosen her over—"

Rolo was cut off when he had to dodge a Kido attack and saw that Lelouch pointing his index finger at Rolo and giving him the cold eyes.

"Rolo, why do you insist on insulting Nunnally?" Lelouch asked, "You get off insulting innocent people who are not even around to defend themselves."

"Huh, so you can use your abilities even in those things that you are in," Rolo said, "What are they… Gigais?"

Another Kido attack occurred and Rolo barely moved away from it but was grazed by the Kido attack. Rolo was surprised and he touched his right cheek and felt blood from it as it was grazed from the Kido attack. Rolo was surprised and looked at the person who was able to graze. Lelouch sighed and turned to the side.

"Euphie, you don't need to that," Lelouch said, "I can handle him."

"He insulted Nunnally multiple times and I'm supposed to stand back and do nothing as this brat is insulting our sister," Euphie said as she was pointing her index finger at Rolo, "Sorry but no, I won't do that."

Rolo was livid that he got struck by Euphie.

"Okay, you know what?" Rolo spoke, "That's it, I'll kill you first. I was going to just concentrate on Lelouch and beat him first but you want step up… fine."

"Rolo, this going to be the last time," Lelouch said.

Lelouch pulled his sheathed Zanpakuto and unsheathed it. Rolo responded by activated his Hollow mask and got in his stance.

"You're right Lelouch," Rolo said, "this will be the last time."

Urahara Shoten

In the back, Tessai was moving boxes and he was being assisted by Clovis.

"I appreciate the help Clovis," Tessai said.

"Oh it's not a problem," Clovis said, "it's good to keep myself busy."

Suddenly there was a meowing going on and it surprised Tessai and Clovis.

"Hmm, is that a cat?" Clovis asked.

"Is that…?" Tessai spoke.

They looked and saw a black cat that was approaching them.

"Oh what a curious cat," Clovis said.

"You're quite curious yourself Clovis," The cat spoke.

Clovis was shocked and almost dropped the things that he was holding.

"A talking cat?" Clovis responded shocked.

"My, my Clovis, do you not recognize me?" The cat responded amused.

"Huh, do I actually know you?" Clovis replied shocked and shook his head, "Sorry but I'm not familiar with talking animals."

"That may be true," The cat said, "but surely you remember the former leader of the Onmitsukido and Captain of the 2nd Division. After all, your brother Lelouch was under my command after being transferred from the 6th Division."

Clovis was wide eyed and couldn't believe it.

"No way," Clovis replied, "Are you… Yoruichi Shihoin?"
