Merna was happily singing a song to herself as she swam laps around the waters of a Mertopian grotto. "La, la, la, la, la~! Who, oh, who should I choose to turn into a Merbian today so they can spend the day with me underwater~? I'll let my Merbian magic decide, and they will summon a new friend for me today~." Merna sang before she stopped swimming and proceeded to place her hands together and shut her eyes to use her Merbian magic to summon a Mobian to Mertopia once more.
Suddenly, a pink furred Mobian echidna with greyish-purple eyes and a pink ponytail appeared in Mertopia as she landed in the water with a yelp. "What happened...?" The pink echidna questioned before looking down at herself. Her clothes had vanished; She now only wore a purple seashell bra over her chest as her shoulders, arms, belly and back were bared and exposed, much like what had happened to Sonia when she was summoned to Mertopia.
The pink echidna's legs and feet had vanished as well; She now possessed a purple fishtail with a waistband. Much like how Sonia had been transformed into a Merhog by Merna's Merbian magic, this pink echidna was transformed into a Merchidna by Merna's Merbian magic. She gasped in shock.
"Ah! I have a tail!" She exclaimed as she flailed a bit.
Merna swam over to the newly turned Merchidna. "Don't worry, it's really fun. Wanna see under the surface with me? I can show you what wonders the deep has to offer." Merna told the newly turned Merchidna in a soft voice with a reassuring smile on her face.
"Uh, sure..." The pink Merchidna replied awkwardly.
"My name is Merna. I'm the one who summoned you to this place. What's your name?" Merna asked the pink Merchidna, keeping the reassuring smile.
"Emma. Emma Capulet." The pink Merchidna replied, smiling back at the orange Merhog.
"It's nice to meet you, Emma. Come on, I'll help you swim." Merna replied back as she took Emma's hand, and the two Merbians dove under the water, and then started swimming. Within about an hour, Emma had learned how to swim with her new tail. Soon, she and Merna were swimming through the deep blue ocean, and Emma looked around in awe.
"Whoa, this is so cool! I can speak normally and even breathe underwater! I never thought I'd say that, but awesome!" Emma beamed as she swam through the ocean, spinning around and doing flips in the water.
Merna giggled a little bit. "That's the best thing about being a Merbian, Emma; You get to breathe and talk underwater as if you were on dry land." She told the pink Merchidna with a smile.
"I can definitely see that!" Emma beamed once more as the girls arrived at an underwater cave. "How about we head into that cave and see what's inside?" She suggested to Merna.
"Of course. Let's get going." Merna smiled as the two Merbians swam inside the cave, and inside, they found a whole bunch of bright and colorful seashells.
"Whoaaaa, look at all these beautiful seashells!" Emma exclaimed with widened eyes.
"If you want to take one, feel free to do so. Plenty of Merbians have taken shells from this cave, and they always magically reappear as if they were never taken from here." Merna told her with a smile.
"Alright, let me see..." Emma said as she scanned her eyes across the different seashells that were inside the cave, before her eyes eventually landed on a glowing blue conch shell. "Ooh! This shell is glowing! Does that mean it's magic or something?" She asked Merna as she picked up the glowing blue conch shell.
"Ooh, those shells are wonderful!" Merna exclaimed. "These glowing blue conch shells are well known amongst Merbians for being able to grant 13 wishes to whoever finds them." She explained to Emma before another glowing blue conch shell spawned in the place of the one that Emma had just picked up.
"Ooooh! Then I know what I want to wish for my first wish! You said that I will be a Merbian for one day, right?" Emma asked Merna again.
"Yes." Merna nodded.
"Alright. Then I wish...I looked like a rich Merbian for the rest of the day." Emma said with a smile as she held the glowing blue conch shell in her hand. Suddenly, the shell began glowing even brighter, and Emma's body became enveloped in the glow of the shell. Soon, the glow faded, and Emma now looked like a rich Merbian; She wore a white pearl tiara on her head, had makeup such as eyeliner and the like on, white roses were hanging from her dreadlocks, she was wearing golden earrings and a sapphire necklace as well as a white beady bracelet on her left wrist. A mirror then spawned in front of Emma so she could admire her new look.
"My, you look like one rich Merbian, Emma." Merna told the pink Merchidna with a smile.
Emma gasped happily, having sparkles in her eyes. "Amazing~! I wanna go somewhere I can impress Merbian boys with my new look!"
"Well, there is a ball in Mertopia tonight, so if you want, we could go there and impress Merbian boys there with your new look." Merna suggested.
"Alright! I can't wait for all the Merbian boys to see me at that ball!" Emma beamed.
Later that night, Merna and Emma proceeded to swim onto the grounds where the ball was being held. Emma still had her look she received from the glowing blue conch shell earlier that day while Merna was wearing a pearl tiara of her own along with bronze earrings and a crystal necklace.
Emma giggled a little bit. "Well, the two of us certainly look pretty tonight, wouldn't you say, Merna?" She asked the orange Merhog with a flick of her tail.
Merna smiled and nodded. "We certainly do, Emma. Now let's see if we can impress any Merbian boys with our looks~." She giggled too.
Emma nodded, and the two Merbian girls swam towards a table and proceeded to grab a drink off the table, and proceeded to take a sip from their drink. After about a minute or five, two Merbian boys swam up to Merna and Emma; A tan furred Mercat with a muscular build, blue eyes and spiky dark blond hair and a white furred Mertiger with brown eyes and short shaven black hair.
"Hello, ladies. You're looking quite nice tonight." The Mercat said with a smile.
Emma blushed and giggled. "Why, thank you~." She replied as her tail flicked once more.
"Say, would you ladies care for a dance with the two of us?" The Mertiger asked Merna and Emma curiously.
Merna and Emma looked at each other, nodded and looked back at the Merbian boys. "We'd love to." Merna replied with a smile.
"Very well, let's get going." The Mercat smiled as he took Emma's hand while the Mertiger took Merna's hand, and the Merbians proceeded to swim onto the dancefloor. The two pairs proceeded to dance throughout the night, and they had the time of their lives. Before they knew it, the ball was already over, and all the Merbians at the ball proceeded to head home.
"Ladies, that was a very fun time we had with you." The Mertiger told Merna and Emma with a smile.
Merna and Emma smiled and nodded in agreement. "Agreed! It was very fun!" Emma beamed. "Oh, and before we go..." She added before she kissed the Mercat on the lips, with Merna doing the same thing with the Mertiger. "Thanks for the dance~." Emma giggled before she and Merna waved to the Merbian boys and swam off again.
The Merbian boys proceeded to blush after Merna and Emma kissed them. "Wow, those girls really know how to kiss..." The Mercat remarked with an awkward chuckle.
"Tell me about it." The Mertiger chuckled as well.
The scene then cut to Merna and Emma sitting on a rock above the sea surface, looking at the moon and the rest of the night sky. "Wow, the night sky is beautiful out here! It's nowhere near as beautiful in the city where I live!" Emma said as she looked at the night sky in awe.
"You know it. Me and my Merbian friends often come to this spot for stargazing at night. It's truly a beauty to behold." Merna agreed with a smile as she flicked her tail for a bit.
"Yeah. It's honestly sad that my day as a Merbian is up already. I'd really like to stay for another day." Emma sighed.
"Don't worry, Emma. Maybe I'll summon you to Mertopia again some day, and then we can spend even more time as Merbians together." Merna assured the pink Merchidna with a smile.
"Is that a promise?" Emma asked with a smile.
"Yes." Merna smiled back.
"Alright. Well, go ahead and send me back to my surface home then." Emma smiled again.
"Alright." Merna nodded before using her Merbian magic to teleport Emma back to the surface world. "I can't wait for my next visitor from the surface world." Merna said with a smile as she looked up at the night sky.
