Thank you everyone. I hope you enjoy the chapter.
Chapter 2
"Ruby, Zach over here!" Yang, the beautiful blonde called out as soon as she noticed their entrance.
"I've saved you a spot."
Seeing Yang without the annoyances that follow her, Zach left Ruby and Jaune behind. On his way to her, he could hear Ruby apologizing to vomit boy. Reaching Yang, he went up beside her and slid his arm around her shoulder, pecking her check while doing so.
"Nice to see you too, you big bad wolf." Yang winked flirtatiously.
By this time Ruby had reached the couple. Looking between them a smirk formed on her face.
"Aww was the wolf bored playing with red riding hood?" Ruby teased.
In response she got an affirmative growl. Looking at Ruby like she said something everyone should know.
"Hey your suppose to say 'No dearest little sister I had a blast'." Ruby exclaimed.
Watching the back and forth between her boy toy and little sister, she gave a small chuckle.
"Anyways, how has your day been so far Ruby?" Yang asked.
"Why not ask Zach first?" Ruby bit back.
"Why ask when he said his day was boring without me in it." Yang said arrogantly.
"You added that last bit yourself!" Ruby said.
"But it's true!" Yang said tilting her head up to look at the wolf Faunus.
"It's true." A scratchy voice replied.
Yang, seeing her victory threw a fist into the air. After her celebration she turned back towards Ruby.
"So, how's your first day going little sister?"
"You mean after you ditched Zach and I, and I exploded?" Ruby said.
Yang looking at her with pity said:
"Yikes a meltdown already?"
"No! I literally exploded a hole in front of school, and there was some fire and I- I think some ice. I'm sorry again Zach." Ruby said angrily before sheepishly apologizing to him.
"Are you being sarcastic?" Yang asked looking towards her lover, before spotting the bandages wrapped all under his clothes, making him look like a mummy that dressed up.
"I wish... I almost tripped over some crabby girls luggage, and then she yelled at me, and then Zach stepped up to protect me, then I sneezed and exploded his back, and then she yelled again, and I felt really, really bad and I just wanted her to stop yelling at me." Ruby spoke fast with tears in her eyes.
"You!" A voice called from behind her.
Whoosh
Then Ruby was in Yangs arms, pushing the wolfs arm away from her.
"Oh god it's happening again!" Ruby cried out.
There before them was the snotty, rich kid that bullied her earlier. Dressed in her dress, with a rapier hanging on her waist, she started to berate Ruby.
"You're lucky we weren't blown off the side of the cliff."
"Oh my god, you really exploded." Yang said, eyes widening.
"It was an accident, It was an Accident." Ruby said quickly, getting off of her sister.
By this point, Zach had pulled himself off of the ground and got back up. Looking to see who made him lose his spot, he saw the annoying girl from earlier. Moving towards them the first thing he sees is a pamphlet shoved into Ruby's face. Looking confused he walks up to Yang and leans into her ear.
"Huh?" He asked.
Yang, seeing him back responds.
"That girl has the pamphlet memorized or something." She whispered back to him."
Getting an answer he focuses back onto Ruby and the other one.
"Although not mandatory, the Schnee Dust Company highly encourages customers to read, and familiarize themsel-" He stopped paying attention to her blabbering.
Wrapping his arm back around Yang he focused his attention else where's to try and pass the time, keeping an eye on Ruby in case she gets into trouble. After a while Yang started speaking to both the girls shaking his arm while talking. While looking around he caught sight of many different kinds of people. Small, large, skinny, fat, he saw Faunus and humans alike. Not finding anything interesting he refocused onto the conversation happening before him.
"And talk about cute boys like tall, blonde and scraggly over there." Weiss said.
"Woah! Really?" Ruby asked, stars sparkling in her eyes.
"...No." Deadpanned Weiss.
Ruby went to open her mouth when the speakers flared to life.
"I'll.. keep this brief. You have travelled here today in search of knowledge, to hone your craft and acquire new skills, and when you are finished you plan to dedicate your life to the protection of the people. But I look amongst you and all I see is wasted energy, in need of purpose, direction, you assume knowledge will free you of this, but your time at this school will prove that knowledge will only carry you so far. It is up to you to take the first step." The white haired man, Ozpin, told the student body.
Leaving the stage, the headmistress came with an announcement.
"You will gather in the ballroom tonight, tomorrow your initiation begins. Be ready. You are dismissed."
"It's like a big slumber party!" Yang said as she slammed down into her sleeping bag beside Ruby's.
"I don't think dad would approve of all the boys though." Ruby said.
"I know I do." She said looking towards a group of boys.
"Am I not enough?" A voice whispered into Yangs ear, sending shivers up her spin.
Turning towards the voice, she found herself looking at Zach. There stood in only his pajama pants, muscular chest lined with scars out for all to see was Zach.
"Ohhh, you are enough, but a girls gotta enjoy the view." She purred, taking in the sight before her.
"Don't tell me you're jealous?" She said with a smirk.
"And if I said I was?"
"Then I would have to fix that." She said slowly bringing her hand up to his chest.
Bending his head down for a kiss, he snatches one before flopping onto the ground with Yang. By this point there where many eyes on the two of them. While laying there a disgusted voice was heard.
"Uggh." Ruby said, making faces at the two of them.
"Aww, is Ruby jealous? Should we find her a little boyfriend too?" Yang teased her from the wolfs arms.
"Eww, I just don't like learning about my big sisters love life." Ruby replied while fake throwing up.
"You'll get here someday."
"I hope never."
After some more banter, they finally settled down. Just laying down in their spots, Yang asked what her sister was doing.
"Whatcha got there?" Yang asked.
"A letter to the gang back at signal. I promised to tell them all about Beacon and how things are going." Ruby replied wistfully.
"Ah that's so cuuuuute." Yang teased.
Whack
"Shut up. I didn't get to take my friends with me to school, and it's weird not knowing anyone here." Ruby said as she threw a pillow at Yang.
"What about Jaune he's... nice? There you go plus one friend. That's a hundred percent increase." Yang said.
"Pretty sure Weiss counts as a negative friend, back to zero." Ruby sighed.
"There's no such thing as negative friends, you just made one friend and one enem-" Yang was cut off by another thrown pillow.
"Look, it's only been one day. Trust me, you've got friends all around you. You just haven't met them yet.
Shine
Sitting up, Ruby spotted the girl who helped her when she was getting yelled at by Weiss. Staring at her Ruby mumbled:
"That girl..."
"You know her?" Yang asked sitting up, pulling free from Zach's arms.
Whine
Ignoring him, Yang paid attention to Ruby.
"Not really, she saw what happened this morning but left before I could say anything."
"Well now's your chance!" Yang sprang up, shaking her assets with it.
"Wow, wait - what are you doing?" Ruby asked.
Yang ignored her and sped off towards Blake. While doing so she didn't hear the many boys whispering about her. But someone did. Opening his red eyes, Zach's eyes flashed dangerously while glancing at those who were whispering about his girlfriend. Those that met his eyes flinched back once they saw the pain they promised to bring if they continued their line of thought.
"..."
Seeing his work finished he laid back down, waiting for Yang to rejoin him in their sleeping bag, longing for her warmth.

Waking up at the brink of dawn, the wolf faunus went to do his morning routine. Slinking out of his partners grasp, he made his way towards the public washrooms. Once there he did his daily cleaning. He had a shower, making sure to take extra care of his tail and ears. Finishing his shower he got out and brushed his teeth. Stepping up to one of the many sinks, he caught sight of a boy and girl down the way. Looking closer the boy looked like he was getting dragged around by the girl. He decided to stay away from them this morning. To much positive energy.
"I can't believe we've been at Beacon for a full 24 hours. Not that I thought we would get kicked out or anything, I mean your the perfect student and I'm, well I'm me. But it's just crazy y'know-" The girl down at the other side of the room wouldn't stop talking.
Getting done with his morning routine he quickly exited the washroom, not before giving an encouraging pat on the back to the boy. Making his way back to the sleeping bags, he woke the sisters up.
Thunk
"Uhhhh." Both girls groaned as they felt something heavy land on their stomachs.
Opening their eyes led to the sight of a fully groomed Zach. Groaning as they sat up they both made their way to the washroom, passing the energy couple, and did their own things. Upon returning, Yang went and sat on the wolfs lap, so he could do her hair.
Finishing packing up the trio made their way to the cafeteria, where they once again saw the two morning people. Sitting as far away from them as possible Zach got up and brought breakfast, lots of pancakes, back for everyone. Eating at a steady pace they slowly finished their meal. Getting up from his spot to return the dishes, Yang called out to him.
"You have a little something here." She said as she reached up and cleaned some syrup off of his face.
Giving her a quick peck, ignoring the vomit sounds, he returned the dishes and they set off for the armory. Opening the lockers assigned to them, they each pulled out their weapons. Ruby pulled out her huge, red scythe which could turn into a gun at a moments notice. Yang pulled out a pair of yellow bracelets, that extended when she slid them on, and Zach pulled out a dark black spear, taller then him and weighing more.
"I wonder how those two are so cheery." Ruby asked as she closed her locker.
"Uh-huh." Zach agreed.
"Oh, who knows. So you seem awfully chipper this morning." Yang said to Ruby.
"Hmph, yup, no more awkward small talk or getting to know you stuff. Today I get to let my sweetheart do the talking." Red said as she stroked Crescent Rose.
"Well, remember Ruby you're not the only one going through initiation. If you wanna grow up you're gonna have to meet people and learn to work together." Yang explained.
"Ughhhh, you sound like dad! First of all, what does meeting people have to do with fighting, and secondly I don't need people to help me grow up, I drink milk."
Ruffle
Putting his hand on Ruby's head, he shook it, messing her hair all up. Ignoring her out cry he step up beside Yang and looked back at her.
"But what about when we form teams?" Yang asked her.
"Oh, I don't know... I-I'll just be on your or Zach's team or something." Ruby muttered.
"Maybe you should try being in someone else's team." Yang said shyly, playing with her hair.
"My dearest sister Yang, are you implying that you do not wish to be on the same team as me?" Ruby accused.
"What? No, of course I do. I just thought, I don't know, maybe it would help you... break out of your shell!" Yang hurriedly explained.
"I don't need to break out of my shell! That's absolutely ridiculous." Ruby exclaimed.
"Look, I just think that it would be better for you to learn to do things without me or Zach hovering over you." Yang fought back.
The wolf just grunted along. The siblings kept bickering until a notice came over the comm's.
"Would all first year students please report to Beacon cliff for initiation. Again all first year students report to Beacon cliff immediately."
Walking towards the entrance, they caught sight of Jaune leaning against one of the lockers while sitting.
"Having some trouble there, lady killer?" Yang teased.
"I don't understand. My dad said that all woman look for is confidence. Where did I go wrong?" Jaune asked with his hands in his face.
"Snow-angel, probably wasn't the best start." Yang said as she passed by him.
Zach snorted in agreement as he walked pass him as Ruby helped him up? Catching up to Yang he grabbed her hand and they walked in silence to the cliff. Upon reaching the cliff they were told to stand on one of the concrete squares. When everyone arrived , the headmaster began his speech.
"For years you have trained to become warriors, and today your abilities will be evaluated in the emerald forest." Headmaster Ozpin began.
"Now I'm sure many of you have heard rumors about the assignment of teams. Well, allow us to put an end to your confusion. Each of you will be given teammates, today." Professor Goodwitch cut Ozpin off.
"What!" Ruby squealed.
"These teammates will be with you for the rest of your time here at Beacon, so it is in your best interest to be paired with someone with whom you can work well. That being said, the first person you make eye contact with after landing will be your partner for the next four years." Ozpin said, hiding a smile behind his coffee cup.
"What!" A high pitched voice asked.
"After you've partnered up, make your way to the northern end of the forest. You will meet opposition along the way, do not hesitate to destroy everything in your path, or you will die. You will be monitored and graded for the duration of your initiation, but our instructors will not intervene. You will find an abandoned temple at the end of the path containing several relics, each pair must choose one and return to the top of the cliff. We will regard that item, as well as your standing and grade you appropriately." Ozpin said as he took a sip of his drink, gazing at the dazed expressions of the new students.
"Are there any questions?" He asked after taking a sip.
"Ya, uh sir-"
"Good, now take your positions." He said, cutting off any questions.
After saying that people began to get launched into the air by the squares they were standing on. When it was Zach's turn, there was only one thing on his mind.
Oh fuck
Thank you everyone for coming to chapter 2 of wolves.
Last time I thought that I wrote a lot more than I did but this time I'm around 3000 words! I hope that the longer chapters are more enjoyable for everyone.
I would like to say that the next chapter might take a while because I start my first week of college tomorrow, wish me luck.
As for other things for Zach's team I was thinking JAZZ for Jamie, Adrain, Zane, and Zach. What are your thoughts?
Thank you once again and I'll see you next time.
