Gaheris

At a park within Karakura Town, Clovis jumped in the air and landed on his feet. He turned around and someone landed on their feet as well and it was Genjuro.

"Clovis la Britannia, I finally found you," Genjuro said.

"I'm shocked that you were able to find me," Clovis said.

"You will not be able to escape from me," Genjuro said, "this time, you will die by my hand, finally be punished for the massacre you ordered in Shinjuku."

Clovis narrowed his eyes staring at the Arrancar who was once human as well as one of his victims when he was the Imperial Viceroy.

Naruki City

Naoto landed on his feet on a roof of one of the buildings and had his Zanpakuto in his hand. Naoto suddenly felt something and quickly turned deflected throwing projectiles with his own blade. Naoto clenched his teeth and faced his assailant and it was Luciano Bradley.

"What do you value the most Naoto Kozuki?" Luciano asked.

Naoto readied himself as he got in his stance facing former Knight of the Round of Britannia now turned Arrancar.

"Even if you refuse to talk, it's already obvious," Luciano said with a grin, "and it's your life. I made my career when I was human to take lives away and now it's no different for me as an Arrancar, a Hollow that has evolved."

"How the hell did you find me?" Naoto asked narrowing his eyes at Luciano.

"It wasn't hard really when you have good Intel," Luciano said.

"Intel?" Naoto responded confused, "How and where did you get it and from who?"

"Sorry but I'm not going to tell you," Luciano said, "There is no point… not when you're about to die."

Luciano formed his crimson energy based blades from both of his hands.

"This is going to be a problem," Naoto said, "I don't know how things might end up with them taking notice."

"Hmm, and who are you referring to?" Luciano asked with glee, "The people in the Soul Society? Are you and your group actually in hiding? Is that why you're in that some sort of shell?"

Naoto just glared at Luciano in response.

Karakura Town

Within Kisuke's shop, Masaki took a deep breath as she was relieved still unconscious. Isshin was now in the special Gigai and Kisuke was pleased.

"Operation success," Kisuke said with a grin, "I was able to connect your souls. She's fine now."

Lelouch, Euphie, Shirley, Kallen, Gino, and Anya were relieved and glad that things worked out as so did Isshin. Lelouch walked up to Isshin and both men smiled and high fived each other. The others went to Kisuke complementing him and Kisuke was pleased as they looked at Masaki knowing that she was going to be fine. Suddenly the sleeping Masaki smiled and started giggled which brought their attention.

"Heh, he got mad at me for being naked," Masaki spoke as she still giggled in amusement.

Kisuke, Isshin, and Lelouch just looked at Masaki while the others giggled in response.

"Really now?" Lelouch asked.

Isshin pinched Masaki's head.

"Hey, what are you dreaming about?" Isshin asked.

"She's funny," Anya said as she still giggled.

"She sounds fun to hang out with," Gino said amused.

Lelouch turned and noticed that Ryuken was gone and Euphie turned and noticed as well. Outside in the rain, Ryuken was walking feeling depressed and felt hopeless and useless.

"Young Master," A female voice spoke.

Ryuken looked and saw Kanae who was standing and waiting for him with an umbrella.

"Kanae," Ryuken said.

Ryuken walked past Kanae.

"Did you leave Lady Masaki to that Shinigami?" Kanae asked.

"Yes," Ryuken said as he stopped, "You can go home and tell my mother that I'm not able to protect the Quincy."

"I'm not going to do that," Kanae replied.

"Didn't you hear me?" Ryuken replied back, "I said go home."

"I won't," Kanae insisted as she turned around, "I won't leave you alone Young Master."

"Kanae!" Ryuken spoke loudly.

"Master Ryuken," Kanae spoke, "Perhaps you forgot about but my duty is to protect you at all cost."

Ryuken was surprised to hear Kanae say it as he and Kanae recalled meeting each for the first time when they were children.

"Since the first time I met you," Kanae continued, "my life has been dedicated to you. That is why I ask you to please," Kanae started to tear up, "please don't be sad. Seeing you sad, seeing you depressed breaks my heart."

Ryuken was surprised and felt touched by Kanae's words.

"Seeing you cry—" Kanae spoke.

"Kanae," Ryuken interjected softly, "it's okay."

"Young Master?" Kanae asked.

"You're right," Ryuken said, "let's go home."

Kanae was surprised and felt better hearing what Ryuken said.

"Yes, as you wish Young Master," Kanae replied happily.

They suddenly felt two presence and they turned and saw Lelouch and Euphie.

"Oh, it's you two," Ryuken said, "Did you need something?"

Lelouch and Euphie looked at Ryuken with sympathy as they looked at each other and looked back to Ryuken and Kanae.

"I take that you're leaving Masaki to Isshin," Lelouch said.

"…Yes, pretty much," Ryuken said and then he sighed, "In the end, I was utterly useless."

"That's not true," Euphie said, "it might have been too late if you hadn't carried her. You were looking for help… in fact, I'm going to take a guess that you were looking for your father, Soken Ishida."

Ryuken and Kanae were surprised.

"You," Ryuken said looking at Euphie, "Do you know my father?"

"I do," Euphie said with a smile, "I actually just met earlier today and we took the time to talk. That's how I knew who you were."

"I see," Ryuken said, "that explains it."

"I wonder if you're willing to say," Lelouch said, "how you are going to deal with Masaki from now on."

"…Don't take this the wrong way but I feel that it is not something that Shinigami should worry about," Ryuken said.

"Ryuken," Euphie replied.

"I understood," Lelouch said, "it is something that has to do with the Quincy. I get that it would seem improper to have Shinigami involved."

"It seems so closed minded," Euphie commented.

"It can't be helped Euphie," Lelouch said.

"Kanae, we're going now," Ryuken said.

"Ah yes Young Master," Ryuken said.

"Lelouch, right?" Ryuken said.

"Yes?" Lelouch said.

Ryuken then turned to Euphie, "Euphie, right?"

"Yes?" Euphie replied.

"Tell your friend Isshin that he better look after and protect Masaki," Ryuken said, "that's all I want to relay."

Lelouch smiled, "It's not really needed to say since Isshin made it clear to do so but we'll let him know that you said that much."

"…Okay then," Ryuken said as he turned around, "Oh and my father, can I assume you know how to get to my father?"

"Yes I can," Euphie said with a smile.

"I see," Ryuken said, "In that case—"

There was a sudden spike of Reiatsu and it surprised the four people since it was intense and they wondered who or what was the source. They got their answer when something crashed on the ground. The four looked ahead and were surprised to see someone who kneeled and then stood up. The smoke cleared and it was actually a Knightmare Hollow and this Knightmare Hollow was blue and clad in black armor. It had its typical Hollow hole in its chest and had a Geass sigil on its forehead and had glowing red eyes.

"What in the world is that?" Kanae asked shocked, "Is that a Hollow?"

"I've never seen a Hollow like this," Ryuken said shocked, "first that Hollow in black armor and now another Hollow and in black armor and what is that symbol on its head?"

"A Knightmare Hollow," Euphie said.

"It's got to be," Lelouch said.'

Kanae and Ryuken were surprised and turned to the siblings.

"Wait, do you two know this Hollow?" Ryuken asked.

"We do," Lelouch said, "but… Euphie, do you recognize this form of this Knightmare Hollow?"

"No, I never seen this form before," Euphie said.

"Neither have I," Lelouch said, "It must be an original design."

Ryuken and Kanae were confused and wondered what they were talking about. The Knightmare Hollow narrowed its red eyes and suddenly disappeared which surprised the two Quincies and two Shinigami. The Knightmare Hollow was suddenly right in front of Ryuken and Kanae with the intent to strike both of them in their heads with its sharp claws on its hands. Lelouch proved to be faster as he was able to block and push back against the Knightmare Hollow with his sword and at the same time Euphie was fast as well as she pulled Ryuken and Kanae back. The Knightmare Hollow was in the air and landed on its feet. Ryuken and Kanae were shocked as they panted as they were horrified at the fact that the Hollow was so close and they did not see it coming to attack. The Knightmare Hollow looked at its nails and clenched its fists. The Knightmare Hollow looked at Lelouch and Euphie.

"Impressive," The Knightmare Hollow said, "very impressive indeed."

"This Hollow has quite the speed," Lelouch said in his head facing the Knightmare Hollow and then he spoke, "Ryuken, Kanae, are you two alright?"

"Y-Yes, we're fine," Ryuken said with Kanae nodding in response.

"Euphie, thanks for doing what you did," Lelouch said.

"You don't have to thank me Lelouch," Euphie said, "it was only natural for me to act."

"True but you have my thanks regardless," Lelouch said.

"Indeed, that was such impressive feats," The Knightmare Hollow said, "not only I was pushed back with such force but the two young Quincies I targeted were protected with such speed and efficiency. You are just as I was told Lelouch Kenjima," The Knightmare Hollow looked at Euphie, "and you, you're Euphie Kenjima, his younger sister."

"It's expected that you know who we are," Lelouch said, "you were sent by Amatsuki, correct?"

"Amatsuki?" Ryuken asked.

"Who is that?" Kanae asked.

"You are correct," The Knightmare Hollow said, "My great master who brought me into existence has sent me to you. I have business with you Lelouch Kenjima."

"Really?" Lelouch replied, "If that's the case, then what the hell are you doing attempting to attack these two?"

"The Quincies?" The Knightmare Hollow responded, "Well, I did that because I was sure they would be nuisances and get in the way with the business I have with you. Not only that, that look that the Quincy boy with the glasses he was making, looking all depressed, it disgust me and the Quincy girl coddling him while crying was just as sickening. It's obvious that they are weak minded brats. It's pitiful really. It's always the same with Humans."

Ryuken and Kanae were offended at the Knightmare Hollow's words and reasoning.

"It's amazing," Euphie said, "Lelouch, this is the first time we met this Knightmare Hollow and already I dislike this creature."

"Yeah, I feel the same way," Lelouch said, "of course it's obvious that our values are different from this Hollow and by extension, Amatsuki."

"Well you can dislike me all you want," The Knightmare Hollow said, "I merely spoke the truth. Lelouch Kenjima, the business that I mentioned that I have with you. My creator, my lord and master bestowed upon me the name Gaheris and he sent me as his representative for a proposal."

"Gaheris?" Kanae asked in her head, "That name sounds familiar…"

"A proposal?" Euphie replied as she and Lelouch were surprised.

"A proposal," Lelouch replied and narrowed his eyes at the Knightmare Hollow called Gaheris, "and what is this proposal Gaheris?"

"I'll get right down to it," Gaheris said, "Lelouch Kenjima, my master proposes that you join him."

The Kenjima siblings as well as Ryuken and Kanae were shocked in what they just heard.

"Amatsuki wants me to join him," Lelouch said.

"That's right," Gaheris said with a glee.

"I refuse," Lelouch immediately responded.

"Now hold on," Gaheris said, "you shouldn't be so hasty to just refuse. That is just being short-sighted."

"Gaheris, I don't know if your master doesn't realize it," Lelouch said, "perhaps that is the case but there people that I loathe and despise and your master is one of them. I refuse to join someone who is clearly one of my enemies."

Gaheris sighed and pointed at Lelouch, "Like I just said that is just being short-sighted. You would benefit to join my master. You do that and he can give you great power. You'll ascend from being a mere Shinigami."

"I'm going to take a guess that this great power that you're speaking of is Hollowfication," Lelouch said.

Ryuken was shocked, "Hollowfication?"

Ryuken thought back to Masaki's dire situation and when Kisuke explained Hollowfication to him and Isshin.

"Hollowfication," Euphie said narrowing her eyes at the Knightmare Hollow.

"Wow, you are perceptive," Gaheris said sounding impressed, "You are a smart man or maybe that is to be expected to know about my master and what he can do. Lelouch Kenjima, you are a powerful Shinigami but even with all that, you are limiting yourself. As a Shinigami, you have hit a wall. If you go through the Hollowfication process, you will be able to break down that wall down and gain even more power. My master knows about you and how far you became to point that you were one of the Captains of the Gotei 13. I can feel you great Reiatsu even though you're not leaking it out and if you join my master and you will be on top and no one will be able to stand against you, not even your other enemies. I believe that it would be smart for you to join my master. Hell you proved that you are still strong and clever even you were sealed away when you defeated that boy Rolo."

"Rolo…" Lelouch said.

"It should be obvious," Gaheris said, "you should join hands with my master and then you won't come up short in battles ever again like what happened when you fought against that experimental Hollow last night."

"Hmm, I take it that he saw that battle," Lelouch said.

"Indeed," Gaheris said, "now your answer."

"My answer has not changed," Lelouch replied, "I refuse."

Gaheris was taken aback and stepped back.

"Are you serious?" Gaheris replied, "Are you really going to refuse my master? Was my pitch really insufficient?"

"It doesn't matter because no matter what, I will never join Amatsuki," Lelouch said, "I know how he operates and like I said, he is one of the people that I despise therefore he is one of my enemies. I don't give a damn what he offers, I will not join that bastard. That is my answer and also I'm going to rebuke you on something."

"Huh?" Gaheris replied confused.

"These two Quincies are not weak minded," Lelouch said.

Ryuken and Kanae were surprised and looked at Lelouch.

"They are not pitiful," Lelouch continued, "they are strong and understanding with what they are and what they set for themselves. Your words to them just tell me just how ignorant and foolish you are. An ignorant and stupid Hollow like you has no business to say anything about them. You weren't being truthful with your words, you were being insulting. I would advise you to not underestimate them, especially Ryuken here."

Gaheris was annoyed in what Lelouch said while Euphie smiled liking what her brother said while Ryuken and Kanae were surprised at the fact that Lelouch just stood up for them. Gaheris sighed and shook his head.

"I suppose this is how it is," Gaheris said, "I suppose it can't be helped but I will say this," Gaheris glared at Lelouch, "Lelouch Kenjima, you are a fool. It really is such a confusing thing to have such potential and waste it over pointless pride. But fine so be it."

Gaheris got in his fighting stance and unleashed his Reiatsu. Lelouch got in his fighting stance with his sword in hand while Euphie got close to Ryuken and Kanae.

"Ryuken, Kanae, you two better get going," Lelouch said.

"…Uh right," Ryuken said and then turned to Kanae, "Kanae."

"Yes Young Master," Kanae said.

"Euphie, that goes for you as well," Lelouch said.

"Lelouch," Euphie said.

"Lelouch Kenjima," Gaheris said, "since you idiotically rejected my master's proposal then there is only one thing for me to do. By master's order should you reject his proposal then the only thing left for you is your death. I'm going to kill you."

Lelouch narrowed his eyes at Gaheris and the Knightmare Hollow rushed towards Lelouch and Lelouch reacted by rushing towards Gaheris. Gaheris was throwing his fists towards Lelouch while Lelouch was swinging his sword towards Gaheris and they clashed with fists and blade and Lelouch pushed back against Gaheris again and used Shunpo to disappear. Gaheris was following his movement and used Sonido in response. They were suddenly in the air and fought against each other in fast pace and lightning speed. On the ground, Ryuken and Kanae were shocked that they were having trouble keeping up with the movements of the Knightmare Hollow and the captain-class Shinigami but Euphie was shifting her eyes as she was able to keep up with the movements of both her brother and the Knightmare Hollow. Back in the air, Gaheris was swinging his hands trying to scratch Lelouch with his sharp claws but Lelouch was able to dodge every swing and reacted by swinging his sealed Zanpakuto.

"It's a shame that this is what you have chosen!" Gaheris commented, "You have sad track record of being so stubborn and that it ends up biting you in the end!"

"You know nothing about me!" Lelouch responded.

"I know everything about you!" Gaheris responded back, "By my master, I know your history," Gaheris blocked Lelouch's sword swing with his right arm, "and that includes your time as Zero, the masked rebel leader of the Black Knights fighting against the empire known as Britannia, the country of your birth."

"So you know that as well," Lelouch replied.

"Lelouch vi Britannia," Gaheris said, "the former 11th Imperial Prince who was once 17th heir to the imperial throne. The son of Charles zi Britannia and Marianne vi Britannia. My very existence is the result of both this world and your original world."

"So it would seem," Lelouch said.

Meanwhile on the roof of Kisuke's shop, Yoruichi in her cat form was sensing the Reiatsu of the battle between the Knightmare Hollow and her former 5th Seat.

"Lelouch, what in the world have you gotten yourself into?" Yoruichi asked.
