"Thank you Molly," Tonks said as Molly scooped some oatmeal into the bowl in front of her.

"Oh you're welcome dear," Molly said, as she continued down the table.

"Nonsense Molly, I can scoop it myself," Mad-eye protested, as Molly moved to fill his bowl.

"I'll gladly eat yours, if you're not up to it," Kingsley said, looking over at Mad-Eye's bowl.

"Now, Molly let the man serve his own breakfast," Arthur's kind voice came from across the table.

"Honestly Alastor, what's the harm in her serving you?" Remus reasoned.

"I hope there's enough for me," Sirius's quiet voice came from the threshold, causing all the heads to turn and the conversation to stop.

Molly was the first to recover as she grinned.

"Of course dear, sit down," she beamed as she scurried over to the cupboard to fetch a bowl for Sirius.

Sirius slipped into the empty seat across from Remus who gave him an encouraging nod.

"Here you go," Molly said, putting a bowl and spoon in front of Sirius, and reaching over taking the pot of oatmeal away from Mundungus - mid scoop, to fill Sirius's bowl.

"Thank you Molly," Sirius said, meeting her gaze.

"Let's eat," Arthur said, breaking through the heavy silence as he lifted up his spoon, causing conversation to start up around the table.

"Could you pass the sugar," Sirius asked after Charlie sprinkled some on top of his oatmeal.

Tonks reached over to grab the bowl, and accidentally knocked over Remus's coffee on the way.

"You put sugar on top of your oatmeal?" Molly asked.

"Ginevra was the one who got me started," Sirius laughed to himself.

And he realized then how good it felt, to swell up at a memory of her, to really laugh.

"I thought it was odd, that day in the great hall as she loaded brown sugar on top of her porridge," Sirius laughed, and it felt so natural, to talk about her, the smile was a pleasant change.

"Of course Ginevra, ever the stubborn girl told you not to knock it before you tried it," Remus added, laughing along with his friend.

"I was the one who got Ginny loading her bowl with brown sugar," Charlie spoke quietly, looking down at his bowl. "Ginevra, your Ginevra is the one who taught it to me, I didn't even like oatmeal before that," Charlie chuckled, his eyes rimmed with tears as he looked over at Sirius. "I suppose that means she taught herself really," Charlie laughed, swirling around the brown sugar in his bowl, watching it melt to a darker brown.

"She always did go for what she wanted," Sirius smiled.

"I remember when she was seven-" Arthur started his voice captivating everyone.

The breakfast was filled with members of the Order telling stories about the Ginny they knew, in the different ways they knew her. And Sirius realized he wasn't the only one mourning, maybe he had done it the longest, maybe he had let his grief build up more than the others, but he didn't want to let Ginevra to consume anyone the way she consumed him, so he opened up along with everyone else, if only to keep her alive a little longer.
