Hi again! Welcome to the 6th chapter of Wolves. I won't keep you long, let's get right into the chapter.
Chapter 6
Ching
The sound of swords and guns filled the room. Up on the stage two teams were having a mock battle, not that Zach was paying attention. His eyes rested elsewhere, glaring down his prey. Today he was lucky, both team JZMN and CRDL didn't have a practice match.
Bam
Thoughts of how he would destroy them filled his head. He'd smash their heads.
Crack
Maul them
Slash
Break their bones
Swoosh
Impale them
Kring
Kill the-
Grab
He was broken out of his thoughts by a hand grabbing his. Looking over he saw Yang looking at him worriedly.
"Is everything ok?"
"Yeah." He said, looking at everyone else. They all had the same look on their face. It was at that moment he noticed what was worrying them. Coming off of him was black smoke. He quickly brought it back in.
"Are you sure?" Yang asked, still looking worried.
Nodding his head, he pulled her into a hug. Holding her like that made everything better. There was no Cardin, no worries, and no problems when they were like that. But everything good has an ending.
Beep
"Team JNPR wins." A mechanical voice came from the speakers.
The rest of team RWBY started to cheer for their friends. Pulling himself away from Yang, he shifted his gaze to his teammates. They were nervously rocking back and forth. Matching his gaze, they nodded and got ready. Seeing that, he focused his attention towards the professor on the stage.
"Everybody, we have time for one more match. Would anyone like to volunteer?" Professor Goodwitch asked.
Hands started to raise. Ignoring them all Zach and the rest of team JZMN walked onto the stage. On his way up he did hear two shocked voices call his name. Looking back, he saw the questioning eyes of a pair of sisters looking at him. Giving them a quick smirk, he continued up to the front of the stage.
"I see, we'll then team JZMN, who woul-"
"CRDL." A growl came, cutting off the professor.
An unimpressed stare came back to him from the professor. Pushing her glasses up, she turned back towards the crowd and started to address the challenged.
"Team CRDL, do you agree to the match?"
"Sure, sometimes you have to show an animal what happens when it bites the hand that feeds it." A narcissistic voice called.
Climbing up onto the stage was team CRDL. With his appearance came some profanities from a certain blonde. Finally, both teams stood across from each other.
"Then, if both teams are ready, we will begin."
"Mhm."
"Let's go."
"Then both teams get ready, the countdown will begin." Professor Goodwitch said, leaving the stage.

With the countdown started, almost everyone got into position. The only people who didn't were Cardin and Zach. While everyone got into a ready position, raising their weapons, and readying their aura's, Cardin started to talk to someone at the front row of the stage.
"Hey babe..."

"After I'm done with your pet..."

"Why don't you come spend the night with me, I'll show you how a real man does it." He said, speaking past the wolf and down into the crowd, to a blonde in the front row. Without waiting for a reply, he shifted back into a ready position.
Go
Two things happened at once. The first, most notable thing, was the huge amount of black smoke rushing out of the wolf. The second thing was the sound of the mechanical voice pooping through the speakers.
"Jamie Wrest, resigned."
"Nicholas Avon, resigned."
"Michael Ross, resigned."
Now there were five people on the stage. Four people facing one. The stage was clear of distractions. Free from the burden of his teammates, Zach let it all out. The black smoke started to condense and become thicker. As it did so, emotions started to run through it to. Disdain, hatred, indifference.
Anger
Finding the right one, he slowly pushed it into Cardin. The effects appeared right away.
"This animal dares?" Cardin said, after stopping for a few seconds. Clenching his mace with renewed vigor, he took a step forward and gave a command.
"Get him."
Heaving their weapons into position, the rest of team CRDL went to match their leader's step when they realized something.
Where'd he go?
Where the wolf Faunus once stood, was now an empty space. Where their leader stood, was also empty. Confused, they started to look around.
Bam
A loud noise sounded behind them. Turning, they saw the thing that would haunt their nightmares.
A Smokey figure was crouching over the prone, aura shimmering, form of their leader. Reaching its hand down, the monster grabbed Cardin's hair, lifting his head up. A dazed, pained look was on his face, as blood gushed down his nose. Then, his head was back into the floor, slammed down by the smoke's clawed hand.

Watching from their spots, the rest of team CRDL watched as their leader was repeatedly slammed into the ground.

Before it could slam Cardin's head into the ground, a voice called over the speakers.
"Cardin Winchester, eliminated."
Letting go of the hair, the smoke stood up, looking down at its work. Laying on the ground, the groaning of the bloodied bully. Seeing the amount of blood in the crater left behind from all the head slams, and his newly broken nose, made it smile and the deep red pits twinkle with joy. Pleased with itself, it shifted its red eyes to the other three.
Smoke started to fly away from the wolf's body, towards the three that were still rooted in place. With the smoke circling around them, their already fearful minds started to get amplified. Suddenly, the red eyes that were staring at them changed. The endless red pits that promised them pain, grew larger, deeper, ready to swallow them whole. In them the three saw anger.
Tssss
Falling onto his ass, one of the members from team CRDL pissed their pants. Shaking in fear, he opened his mouth.
"I-I sur-" He was cut off by the hand clamping around his throat. Staring at the red eyes that suddenly found their way in front of him, a loud crack ran through the stadium.
Crack
Pain was all he felt. Glancing down, he saw his leg bent weirdly. Tears started to gush from his eyes as he tried to scream against the hand closed around his throat. The screaming would have continued if claws didn't start to dig into his throat, tearing through the layers of aura around it. With the pain becoming so much he started to pass out, the last thing he heard was a sound coming from the speakers.
"..., eliminated."
Growling, the wolf Faunus let go of the passed-out human. Seeking for his next prey, he looked at the rest of his opponents. They were shaking, with their weapons almost slipping out of their hands. Looking at them, he saw them look at each other before nodding. With resolve in their eyes, they both rushed towards the smoke monster. Reaching the Smokey form of the wolf Faunus, they attacked at the same time.
Shkkk
Both of their weapons slashed against a long, heavy spear that appeared out of no where. Seeing the weapon, one of the members of team CRDL dashed back, swapping his weapon into gun form, before firing at the monster. The other member started to rapidly attack the smoke monster.
Seeing them start to coordinate, the wolf decided to deal with the ranged one first. Spartan kicking the one that was attacking him close range, he dashed towards the prey with his spear ready. Deflecting the bullets fired at him, he arrived in front of his opponent. Stopping in front of his opponent, he swept his opponents legs out from under him and brought his spear down on to his now airborne stomach.
Crash
A crater formed from the impact of the body slamming into the floor of the stage.
"..., eliminated."
Gripping his spear, Zach turned his eyes to the last target. The last one had recovered from the kick to the chest and was now standing with his gun pointing at the Smokey wolf. Getting tired of all the ranged shit, his arm started to bulge as he reared back his arm, before unleashing a terrifying javelin throw with his spear. Red eyes gleamed with satisfaction from the roar of pain from his enemy. Leisurely walking across the stage, he arrived at his weapon, and the person pinned to it. Wrapping his hand around the shaft of his spear, he pulled.
"Arrghhhhhh!"
A hole was in his opponent's shoulder from where his spear pierced through his aura. Holding his spear, Zach raised it above his head in a reverse dagger type grip and brought it down towards his opponent's head. Smoke was swirling around his weapon, eager to end his enemy. But it looked like luck was on the other side.
"..., eliminated."
Crkkkkk
Right beside the head of his screaming enemy, the wolf's spear was lodged into the wall. Gazing at the pathetic form of his enemy, he pulled his spear free, letting his semblance fade, and walked away from his defeated prey. Walking to the center of the stage, he met with Professor Goodwitch. Glancing at her, he climbed off the stage as she started her speech, to be with Yang. Stepping off of the stage, the crowd parted ways letting him pass by them. Ignoring them, he took a few large strides before embracing Yang in a big hug.
"Do you feel better now? I know I do." Yang said, patting his back.
"...yes."
Smiling, Yang stood on her tippy toes and whispered into his ear.
"Why don't we go somewhere, and you show me how a real man does it?" She whispered, eyebrows wiggling suggestively.
"Yes." Came a breathless growl.
Looking around, Zach dazedly shoved his spear into the hands of Ruby, before allowing himself to be dragged along. A loud squeal of "Hey" came from behind him. Then they where gone.
"Sigh, what am I supposed to do with this?" Ruby asked.
A hand reached out and grabbed the spear from her hands. Looking over, Jamie stood there with the spear in his hand.
"What are you going to do with it?"
"Put it in his locker."
"Ahhhhh, that makes sense."
Walking towards the exit, Jamie made his way towards the locker room. Following behind him was Michael, and Nicholas. Looking at them leave, Ruby looked towards her remaining team members.
"You owe me." Weiss sighed, pulling Blake away.
"Hey!"
Smiling, Ruby turned into a lump of rose petals and disappeared towards the locker room. Catching up to the rest of team JZMN, Ruby turns back into a normal human.
Fwoosh
"-glad it's over."
"Yeah. I knew he was scary but... wow."
"Forget it, let's just put this thing away and go for lunch."
"Where are we going?" Ruby asked.
"I heard a new place in the city jus-" Stopping mid-sentence, three heads quickly spun around to look at the new person with them.
"Puhahahaha, you should see the look on your faces." She said, grabbing her stomach and dying with laughter looking at their wide-eyed stares.
"W-when did you get here?" Stuttered a shocked Michael.
"I knew he was scary bu-"
"Stop, stop, stop." Nicholas said, hand covering Ruby's mouth, red with embarrassment.
Pulling away from the hand covering her mouth she started to laugh at them again.
"Y'know, he's kind of like a puppy."
"?"
"He does whatever he's told. You should watch him when he's confused about something, head tilted, ears flat against his head, and tail wagging."
While they were talking, they eventually made it to the locker room. Opening his partners locker, Jamie tossed the stupidly heavy spear into it. Closing the locker, he turned around to see Ruby shifting awkwardly between his team members.
"Do you have something to say?"
"Um, why... why'd he do it?"
The group stopped at the question.
"..."
"You don't have to answer if you don't want to." Ruby quickly spat out.
"No, we should tell you." Nicholas said.
"Cardin said somethings about your sister, he didn't take it that well."
"ahhh, I see. I understand." Ruby said looking at them with pity.
"You have had it hard." She said, giving them all an encouraging pat on the back.
"Why don't I treat you guys to lunch?"
"Are you sure?" Michael said, drool slipping past his lips.
A hand came down onto his back. "We will pay, don't worry about." Jamie said, before leaning down to whisper to Michael.
"Do you want to deal with him after you make his sister pay for lunch?" Jamie stressed to Michael.
"No…" Michael whispered disappointedly.
"Come join us for lunch. We're going to this new place that just opened." Nicholas said to Ruby.
"Sure!"
"That was good!" Ruby exclaimed, patting her stomach.
"I'm glad that you enjoyed the food." Jamie said. "Yea, it was better then expected." Nicholas said, before slapping away Michael's hand before it messed with his hair.
"It was agreeable." Said Weiss with her nose pointing towards the sky.
"Not enough fish dishes."
The other two members of team RWBY were already at the restaurant by the time the gang showed up. They were on their way back to the school to enjoy the rest of the day. Boarding an airship, they took a quick ride to the school.
On the way back to their room, Ruby stopped the JMN of JZMN. "Do you guys know how to play Kingdom?"
"Yea?" Nicholas said confused.
"Want to play a few rounds?"
"Will that be okay?" Michael asked, looking at Blake and Weiss.
"Sigh" Was all Weiss said after being stared down by the big, gray puppy eyes.
"Why not?" Blake shrugged.
Before they walked into the room, team JNPR showed up and Ruby invited them to come and join them.
And like that, 2 hours passed.
"And with that, I have conquered all of remnant!" Pyrrha exclaimed, winning for the third time in a row.
A collective sigh came from the group. "How do you win three times in a row?" Came an exaggerated scream.
"Its all about the strategy, when I'm down I promise to help someone and then when they agree and attack someone else I-"
"Ok, ok, ok we understand."
"Let's start round 4! We will get Pyrrha for sure this time." Ruby exclaimed.
"You'll have to exclude us." Jamie said, looking at the clock, deciding it was time to go to.
"Really?"
"it's late."
Sigh
"Bye guys have fun." Jamie said as he left with Michael and Nicholas.
The trio walked in silence to their room. Approaching their door, they heard weird noises but thought nothing of it.
Chick
Chick
Closing the door, they looked at each other and started walking back to team RWBY's room. They saw nothing, Nothing. They didn't see the naked blonde-haired girl straddling their equally naked friend. And they didn't see the 2 sets of red eyes that stared at them, one from the blonde the other from the wolf, threating them to leave. They saw nothing.
Erasing the thoughts, they sped away from the hellhole that was their room. Arriving in front of team RWBY's room they knocked loudly.
KNOCK
"COMING!"
Slam
Peeking her head out of the doorway was Ruby.
"What are you guys doing back here, huh? I thought you had to go?" Ruby said smugly, standing confidently with her arms crossed in front of them.
Putting his hand on top of Ruby's head, Jamie pushed her out of the way and looked towards team JPNR.
"Would you guy's mind letting us sleep in your room with you?"
"Why?" Ren asked.
"Yea, why? Oh, are you after my and Pyrrha's body, I'll have to-" Nora started before getting cut of by Ren's hand.
"NO!" Team JMN exclaimed, going red remembering what they say a few moments ago.
"Then what?"
"Um…. Zach and... Yang were... going at it… pretty hard." Jamie spat out embarrassed.
It took a few seconds for everyone to figure out what he was talking about before everyone exploded into red.
"Hmm, why'd you all go so red?" Ruby asked innocently.
"Cough, sure, you guys can stay in our room." Jaune said.
"Thank you." Came the breathless reply.
"I think that's time to end here." Weiss demanded.
"What?" Ruby demanded.
"I think that's for the best." Pyrrha said standing up and moving to go grab some pajamas.
"I'll show them where they can sleep." Ren said standing up as well.
Thanking team JPNR, the JMN of JZMN followed them into where they would spend the night. With everything set into place, thanking team JPNR once again they begin to fall asleep thinking of the terrifying and disturbing thing they saw in their room.
And I'm Back!
Sorry for the wait everyone, I got caught up in school stuff and then in GOW Ragnarök. I have also had this chapter basically finished since I took my break in September.
Anyways I'm sorry and I hope everyone has a good week! I'll try and post a chapter in about a week. See you then!
