Chapter 10: Not Quite Dead Yet

Draco pushed open the door to his private dorm and looked around. He didn't see Potter anywhere. 'Good' He took out the book he had been getting. Magical Creature Mating Bonds. He scanned through the table of contents and quickly flipped to page 249.
DRAGONBORNS
Dragonborn mating bonds are very fragile things. They are automatically formed upon recognition of a mate, but just a mere hour after the formation of said bond, It will weaken to relate to the amount of trust between mates. As trust grows, the bond grows as well, until ultimate trust is achieved and the bond is finally complete and permanent.
The rules of the bond are created by the matee, not the mated, which can only be changed with the combination of a potion, spell, and the right time and surroundings*.
Draco quickly skipped over the other stuff in order to get to the footnote that would hopefully tell him how to change the conditions of his bond.
*You must use a reversible draught of sleeping death on the dragonborn, and then you must use the recognitione contractus spell to revise the bonding contract. This must be done on the night of the new moon at midnight and you only have a minute. You must be in a place where both of you feel comfortable. Spell instructions can be found in Obscure Spells Of The Dragon Queen Tamer by Alana t. Potter.
Well. That was interesting. Now he needed to find another book, and one written by one of Harry's ancestors no less.
