James, Remus, Peter and Sirius all headed back to their dormitory after dinner and were packing their bags getting ready for the full moon that was approaching.
"If you don't want her to go, just tell her," Remus said.
Sirius sighed, as he grabbed the robes out of Remus's hand and shoved them into his bag.
"I can't, I don't have a reason to tell her not to go," Sirius sighed.
"Sure you do, she's your girlfriend," Peter chimed.
"She's my girlfriend, not my slave, I can't just boss her around."
"Or you could just tell her how you feel," James added.
"Sure, tell her that I'm jealous that she seems to find the life I left behind so much more fascinating," Sirius replied sarcastically shaking his head.
"Oh stop being so dramatic Padfoot," Remus said, yanking the bag out of Sirius's hand and shoving the robes Peter had into the bag.
'Communication," James said in a sing-song voice, as he yanked the bag from Remus and shoved a clean set of robes in them.
"Her friendship with Regulus is harmless, she has no family and no friends except for who she's met coming here, I can't take that away from her," Sirius sighed.
"Her family and her friends died?" Peter asked, sitting up from where he was lying of Remus's bed. "That's a bit odd, was there a giant fire that took out her whole village?" Peter asked.
"Er-well I don't know exactly," Sirius answered honestly.
"So she might have other friends, so she doesn't need Slytherin's," Peter responded smugly.
"I still say just to talk to her, she won't go to the ball if you tell her not to," James repeated.
"It's not that simple," Sirius sighed, running his hands through his hair as he took a seat on Remus's bed beside Peter.
"Sure it is, the two of you just make everything complicated," Remus responded, slinging his bag over his shoulder.
"All set?" James asked grinning.
"Yea, I'll head down to the hospital wing, and I'll see you guys at the shrieking shack," Remus smiled.
"We'll be there," Sirius grinned.
Remus made his way to the door and disappeared on the landing.
"At least we have a free period in the morning," Sirius grinned.
"No we don't," Peter argued.
"Sure we do Pete, it's called skipping class," James grinned.
When curfew came, the three friends piled under Jame's invisibility cloak and slowly creaked through the halls.
"You know Peter, if you hadn't eaten so much lamb we'd have a lot more room under here," James hissed.
"I'm the shortest one!" Peter responded.
"Shh, you'll be the one that get's us caught," Sirius snapped, the three of them continuing on in silence.
"Did you hear that?" James asked, putting out his hand to stop his two friends as he looked around the deserted corridor.
"No, but if we stay here on of the prefects patrolling will hear us," Sirius responded.
"I thought I heard someone behind us," James whispered back.
"Like I said probably one of the prefects," Sirius responded brushing off Jame's concerns.
"Should we check it out?" Peter whispered, looking around nervously.
"No need, it's all in his head," Sirius whispered, the three of them continuing to their passage, to join their friend.
