"It's not exactly homely, is it?" Sigrid mumbles as she enters Elijah's apartment. It was strange, being back in Mystic Falls, but she was here with Elijah, which made it all right. She hadn't seen much of the town yet but was planning on going sightseeing tomorrow, maybe look for her own grave if it hadn't been cleared through the years.

Elijah had rented a spacious residence, but it certainly lacked personality. Sigrid thinks back fondly to the way she and Rebekah had decorated their home. It hadn't been luxurious or very pretty in comparison to homes today, but it had felt like home.

Sigrid spins around when she hears something. Elijah had opened the fridge and grabbed himself a blood bag. She was glad to see that Elijah was now also feasting on blood bags instead of just people, as Niklaus did. Should Finn ever wake, he would surely be happy with this alternative, who knows, she might even persuade Niklaus and Rebekah to feed on fewer living sources as well.

Leaning against the counter, she looks on as Elijah empties the bag. "I am surprised you haven't changed your suit yet, but I suppose your thirst and regain of strength is more urgent than your attire."

Thirst fully sated, Elijah tosses the empty bag in the bin. Despite being staked today and having the doppelgänger escape his clutches, today had been resourceful. He now knows the location of both Katerina and the moonstone, has the human status of the newest doppelgänger confirmed, and has finally killed the annoyance that was Trevor.

A long, long time ago someone often reminded him that good things came to those who waited. He could wait, he had plenty of time to get his revenge on the vampires who had bested him today, and when the time came, it would be twice as satisfying as the feeling he had when beheading Trevor.

"I think it would be wise to keep an eye on the doppelgänger and her bodyguard friends, but you obviously have also come to that conclusion. I suppose we can't be too angry with the two vampires? You, too, would have done everything in your power to retrieve me if I were to be kidnapped. I think it was simply a natural act for them, no matter how foolish. But knowing you, you're already plotting their death, or their use." Sigrid rambles excitedly as she follows Elijah to the bedroom, letting her fingers graze the wall she passes. The walls were decorated with tacky stock photos, another indication that Elijah didn't plan on settling here for long.

Opening his wardrobe, Elijah loosens his tie, carelessly tossing it to the floor. There was no need in trying to revive his ruined outfit. He briefly considers making the vampire's bank account bleed alongside the owner, this shirt hadn't been cheap.

"You do know there are other colors than black and white, right?" Sigrid teases as she gets a glimpse inside the closet. Throughout the years she had seen Elijah dress immaculate, no matter which era or country, but she sometimes longs for the days they were all dressed in their sober tunics and linen day wear, not at all bothered by dirt or grass stains.

With an exhalation, Sigrid takes a seat on the perfectly made bed, looking on as Elijah got ready for bed. She drops her gaze when Elijah unbuttons his trousers, she might have a free pass on being a creep, but she too had her limits.

Her brow furrows as her eyes land on an item that was placed on the nightstand, a small wooden box. The box itself wasn't odd, but the carvings in the wood were the thing that caught Sigrid's attention. Upon further inspecting the markings, she finally understood what it said, it was her name in Futhark.

"Just my luck." Sigrid mumbles as she spots the doppelgänger across the street.

Sigrid had spent the night and early morning wandering around Mystic Falls, she loved being near Elijah, but watching him sleep wasn't exactly thrilling.

She had spent the past hour on a bench near the town square, watching the town wake up while reminiscing about the past and wondering what she and the Mikaelsons would have done together if she had still been alive. Scenario's of celebrating Christmas, Halloween, and birthdays flash before her, only saddening her further. She did have a way of dampening her own spirits.

Stretching her limbs, Sigrid gets up from the bench, curious enough to follow the girl. She patiently waits beside the doppelgänger, who had just knocked on the door.

"The fun I would have if I could knock on doors, truly my undead status isn't nearly as fun as the movies make it out to be." Sigrid grumbles, she had caught enough glimpses of horror movies through the years to know of so-called supernatural activities. Her eternity in this place would be a lot more amusing if she could scare unsuspecting people a little.

Sigrid lets out an annoyed grunt when the front door of the house is opened, it was the cocky one again.

"Hello, Elena."

"Your name is Elena? Now we're getting somewhere." Sigrid grins, happy to have already gained new information in the little time she had spent with the doppelgänger and her allies.

"Is Stefan here? He called. He said it was important." Elena asks, not bothering to greet Damon. She had plans today and there was no need nor time for her to beat around the bush.

Grimacing at the feelable tension, Sigrid wags her index finger between the two people before her. "I am sensing some awkward energy. Did you two date? Or do you want to? I mean, I saw you hug the other guy yesterday, is his name Stefan?"

"Right this way."

"Don't send her the creepy eyes." Sigrid mutters, glaring at the vampire while passing him. She hadn't forgiven him for hurting her Elijah.

"Hey." Stefan greets tensely whilst walking up to the front door.

"Oh things are definitely awkward between you three, wait... you guys live together? You're family? Oh wow, this is some reality show drama." Sigrid snorts in amusement before taking on her serious expression again. Whatever was going on between 'vampire number one', 'vampire number two', and the doppelgänger, she would have a front-row seat.

"What is this about?" Elena asks.

Sigrid frowns when she sees Elena pursing her lips, but the frown disappears as soon as she sees yesterday's vampire make her entrance into the hallway as well. "Rosie! Oh goodie, you're also here. I don't know if it is wise of you to associate with the people who have hurt Elijah right after gaining his forgiveness, but then again you have always been a bit impulsive."

Sigrid walks through the nearest wall and plants herself on the couch, waiting for the drama to unfold itself. She had to admit the house was charmingly decorated, a bit too much vintage in her opinion, but it worked with the whole bachelor vibes the two vampires gave off.

She grimaces when Elena almost sits on top of her and quickly scoots out of the way. She might be invisible, but she wasn't a seat, thank you very much.

"Okay, you have to understand I only know what I've picked up over the years and I don't know what's true and what's not true. It's the problem with all this vampire crap, but Klaus, I know he's real." Rose nervously paces the living room, asking herself why she was doing this when she should be running for the hills.

Perhaps there was a small part of her that believed that these young vampires could actually save the Petrova doppelgänger, maybe this good deed would result in her actual freedom from the entire Original clan.

"Vampire crap? You're really putting down your own kind with this attitude." Sigrid lets her tongue go over the tips over her teeth, wondering how it would feel to have fangs. It must feel like a mouth full.

"Who is he?" Elena asks.

"He's one of the originals, he's a legend." Damon replies, sarcasm practically dripping from his voice.

"Yet, you don't seem impressed," Sigrid mutters.

"From the first generation of vampires." Stefan adds whilst making a dismissive gesture. He must admit that for a first-generation vampire they had beat him pretty easily.

"Like Elijah?" Elena asks, eyes darting between Rose and Stefan.

"No. Elijah was the Easter bunny compared to Klaus. He's a foot soldier. Klaus is the real deal." Rose replies at once.

Sigrid grins brightly, if she ever got to speak to her Mikaelsons again, she would be sure to tell Niklaus he had been compared to the Easter bunny. Sigrid blinks away a vision of seeking Easter eggs with the Mikaelsons, pretending to be a big happy family with them in her head wasn't helpful to the situation at hand.

"Klaus is known to be the oldest."

"Someone needs to fact-check. Seriously, what did you do? Google 'Original vampire'?" Sigrid sniffs haughtily, not impressed with anything that was being presented by the so-called experts. She should have stayed with Elijah, but then again, being near him without being able to communicate with him hurt. At least now, she felt somewhat useful. Know thy enemies and all that.

"Okay, so you're saying that the oldest vampire in the history of time is coming after me?" Elena asks, looking incredibly troubled at this revelation.

"Aren't you special?" Sigrid jokes. Niklaus had been after her once, chasing her through the woods during a very competitive game of tag. She had let him win, wanting to be in his arms more than winning their game.

"Yes."

"No."

Damon rolls his eyes at the two vampires. "What they're saying is, I mean, if what she's saying is true..."

"Which it is." Rose inserts.

"And you're not saying it, so I don't kill you." Damon returns, shooting Rose an exasperated look.

"Which I'm not." Rose interjects, rolling her eyes.

"You know, you two could be pretty cute together. The banter is adorable." Sigrid gushes elatedly, she loved watching people fall in love with each other.

"Then we're looking at a solid, maybe." Damon continues to talk undisturbed, his words accompanied by elaborate hand gestures. He wanted to make the situation look as non-threatening as possible for Elena.

Sigrid jumps to her feet when she sees Stefan moving towards Elena, and takes to pacing the room instead.

"Look, Elijah's dead, right? So no one else even knows that you exist." Stefan offers, hoping to ease the human girl.

"It must suck to be wrong all the time." Sigrid pulls a face that might be interpreted as offensive if the vampire could have seen it.

"Not that you know of." Rose chimes in.

"That's not helping."

"Killing Elijah also didn't help your case." Sigrid comments whilst letting herself hang over the edge of the couch in boredom.

"Look, I've never even met anyone who's laid eyes on him. I mean, we're talking centuries of truth mixed with fiction. We don't know if he's real. For all we know, he could just be some sort of stupid bedtime story." Stefan offers, locking his gaze on Elena.

"You're a stupid bedtime story." Sigrid mutters bitterly.

"He's real, and he doesn't give up. If he wants something, he gets it. If you're not afraid of Klaus, then you're an idiot." Rose snaps.

"I suppose that makes me an idiot." Sigrid grins proudly at this conclusion.
