"Anyway, Luka. I'm actually heading in that direction. Why you don't follow me? It can get confusing." Jeremy offers.

"Thanks, man. It's nice to meet you, Bonnie."

Sigrid stares at the direction Jeremy and Luka had walked off to. She had been strolling around the high school grounds, confused by the absence of the doppelgänger, but had halted the moment she heard Elena's name. It was remarkable how easily she could already map acquaintances and friends of the doppelgänger.

Sigrid's gaze shifts from Bonnie to a few girls walking by in cheerleader uniforms. She wonders if the Mikaelsons would enjoy her wearing something as revealing as those skirts. She lifts the hem of her dress to her knees, it could work. Finn would most likely have a heart attack and the thought alone made Sigrid giggle.

"Hi, I'm Bonnie Bennett."

Sigrid's head snaps up from the article she was reading in someone else's newspaper. She had been hanging out in the local café, listening in on random conversations. Especially the one between Stefan and a blonde named Caroline had piqued her interest. It seemed that there were still werewolves in Mystic Falls.

"Bennett? What a coincidence to meet a descendant of Ayana here. God, supernatural life has certainly not stood still. What will you reveal next? That the hunters of the Brotherhood of the Five live here?" Sigrid chuckles at the silly thought while carefully watching Luka's table. Mystic Falls truly was a melting pot of all sorts of beings.

"Doctor Martin, Jonas Martin. It's nice to meet you, Bonnie Bennett. Would you like to join us?"

Sigrid's brow furrows. It would be unlikely yet not impossible that this was the same person Elijah had been speaking with on the phone the other day. She jumps up from her seat and stalks over to the three people, taking a seat at the table next to them and curiously shifting her gaze between the father and son.

"Oh, I'm meeting a friend, but he's not here yet, so... sure." Bonnie smiles.

Luka blinks before comprehending his father's nod. He quickly moves aside, allowing Bonnie to take a seat. "Oh yes, please have a seat."

"So, where did you move from?" Bonnie shifts her gaze from Luka to Jonas.

"Louisiana."

"That's a big change." Bonnie acknowledges.

"I'll say." Luka grimaces a little whilst shooting his father a knowing look.

"It's not so bad here." Bonnie smiles warmly at Luka, hoping to reassure him. She hadn't done much moving but understood it could be difficult to move across the country.

"You are a kind girl." Sigrid mumbles, whilst shooting Bonnie a smile. She knew she couldn't assess someone accurately after only knowing them a few minutes, but thousand years of observing people had made her quite capable of judging one's character.

"It's looking up." Luka replies with a small grin.

Jonas looks interestedly at Bonnie. He didn't like the way his son was staring at the girl. "Bennett, huh? I knew some Bennett's when I did my residency in Massachusetts. Do you have any family from Salem?"

"You're a warlock, of course, you are." Sigrid mumbles, eyes still trained on Jonas. It seemed like the logical conclusion if he was indeed Elijah's contact. Her Mikaelsons liked having several witches within reach. Besides that, witches and warlocks could sometimes detect each other.

Sigrid wonders how Jonas and possibly his son had acquired a job from Elijah. She was pretty sure it wasn't for money. Witches could easily get money, for example by selling daylight rings to desperate vampires, no Elijah had probably made them a promise that was very close to their heart. She would find out exactly what it was, after all, solving riddles and mysteries was a long-time hobby of hers.

Bonnie's face falters, and she feels her expression harden before relaxing again. It could be an innocent question. "Actually I do."

"What do you know? Small world, right?" Jonas shrugs good-naturedly, eyes not leaving the girl.

Bonnie smiles broadly to overcome the sense of unease she was experiencing. She lets out a small sigh of relief when her eyes meet Jeremy's. She gladly gets out of the seat. "Oh, there's my friend. It was nice to meet you, Doctor Martin."

"I will see you at school." Luka offers.

"Yeah." Bonnie replies, hand landing on Luka's shoulder. Her brows furrow in the slightest at an odd sensation before letting go, offering him one last smile.

Jeremy's gaze drifts over to the other tables, feeling a little uncomfortable with regarding Bonnie and Luka's interaction. Jeremy's brows had subconsciously knitted together but produces a smile when Bonnie touches his arm. He gladly guides her away from Luka and his father, pleased to have her attention to himself.

"Dad, why-" Luka shifts his gaze from Bonnie to his father, knowing full well his father's question wasn't a part of small talk.

"It will do you well to remember that the doppelgänger isn't the only magical being in this town, Luka." Jonas replies sternly, eyes boring into his son's.

"I know." Luka replies with a hint of defiance in his voice. Bonnie had been kind to him, warm. He didn't believe the girl to have a single bad bone in her body.

Jonas sighs and is about to comment on Luka's carelessness when he receives a message.

Sigrid leans over the table to look at the phone, only to have her hand land through Jonas's arm, the sensation made her shiver. Before she can read the message, Jonas has already put his phone away.

"I have to go."

"Let me guess-" Jonas mutters. He was disappointed, they had just moved here and already it was too much to ask of his father to spend one evening with him.

"Yes. I will see you back home. Be careful." Jonas warns, whilst grabbing his coat.

"Always am."

Jonas sends his son an unamused look before getting up, making his way to the exit.

"The Salem question was a bit of a jerk move." Sigrid says whilst looking out of the window. Jonas had been humming some old song and proved to be an excellent driver. She hadn't planned to go with the man, but curiosity got the better of her. Besides that, it wasn't as if ghosts really had agendas.

"But yes, it is remarkable to come across a Bennett." Sigrid frowns whilst trying to remember the last time she had run into a Bennett, it must have been Lucy. The witch who had been hanging out with Katerina at the time.

"You know, you should-" Sigrid abruptly shuts her mouth when she hears a ringtone going off, scowling lightly. She didn't understand how people got anything done in a day when they kept getting interrupted by their devices.

"Elijah." Jonas greets, answering his phone on the second ring. He hoped dearly there wasn't another change in plans. He wanted to be home in time to have a little father-son talk with Luka. Likewise, he understood his son's need to be a regular teenager, but that would have to wait until after they had achieved their goal.

Sigrid grins smugly, Jonas was indeed Elijah's contact.

"I have found him. I shall text you the address."

"So much for telephone courtesy." Sigrid rolls her eyes when Elijah abruptly ends the call.

"Very nicely done." Elijah comments as Slater ends the phone call to Rose. He looks down at the man, quite disinterested in what was to happen next.

"Thanks, I have a degree in theater. How can you compel me? A vampire can't compel another vampire." Slater's curiosity overrides his fear. It wasn't every day that one was facing an Original.

"I'm a special vampire." Elijah replies simply, a certain note of smugness audible. He abhorred the concept of individuality among supernatural races, but it was a fact that he was an exception to his race.

"Yes, you are." Sigrid beams up at Elijah, as she gravitates near him, hand hanging limply beside his. Her eyes flicker briefly to the item he was holding in his right hand, a feeling of dread growing in her stomach.

"What, because you're an Original?"

Elijah hums in agreement before presenting the vampire with the weapon he had been holding. It had been specially crafted by some hunter he had killed a few decades back, the woodwork was truly marvelous.

It was a little sad that he didn't feel an ounce of regret in his decision. The man had ambition, Elijah had seen that from the multiple diplomas on the wall, but the Original simply didn't like loose ends. "Now I want you to take this and drive it through your heart."

"But that would kill me forever." Slater states, eyeing the stake with dread.

Sigrid looks on as Elijah compels the vampire. It was always an odd sight to see all fight and struggle vanish from someone as soon as they were being compelled.

Slater had put up a bit of a fight in the beginning, nothing that Elijah couldn't handle, though. The man hadn't looked as frightened as she would have thought, instead he had looked rather intrigued by the circumstances.

"I know." Elijah agrees, before contemplating the man for a moment. It would be philanthropic to let Slater live, but he had served his purpose, besides that, his family's reputation would not be tarnished simply because he felt a trace of pity for an eternal student. "But it's necessary."

Sigrid closes her eyes briefly and hears Slater's body fall to the ground. Suicide, even when it was forced, always saddened her immensely.

"Was it, really?" Jonas asks, hesitantly stepping towards the Original. He shoots a furtive glance at the desiccated body of the vampire, a minimal sense of sympathy coming over him. He was all too familiar with the dangers of associating with an Original, the difference between himself and the dead vampire was that he was still of use to Elijah.

Sigrid places her hands on her hips, taking a stance next to Jonas, showing Elijah she sided with the warlock, even if her Original didn't see it.

"It had to be done. He delivered his message. Won't be long now."
