A few days passed by and he simply sat in front of the graves with Myne. She placed flowers near each one and sat in front of him as he finished inspecting the cloaks for Ren and Nora. Their previous ones were nothing short of rags at this point and even they agreed that some new ones were due. He owed it to them as well, it was better to make it up to them as much as he could before it was too late. Auspicious helped him with these ones, coating them in a refractive chemical substance that allowed them to slowly blend in with the surrounding area.
She offered to change his as well, but he declined. He was content with his cloak being the way it is and claimed he didn't deserve anything else until he got at least another facility up and running.
"Hey, daddy?" She shook his arm.
"Yes?" He asked back.
"Do you miss them?" She pointed towards the graves.
"I do." He nodded. More often than not, his thoughts drifted to them. Aside from Maaya, they were the first civilians that he enjoyed being around and looked forward to seeing when he stopped by. He blamed Salem for sending Tyrian after them, he got rid of one of the parasites, now all he had to do was get rid of the other.
"I do too." She looked down. He just rubbed the top of her head a bit before picking her up and staring at the graves. When she was ready to leave, he just turned around and trekked back to the settlement. The warm feeling of the grave seemed to fade away as the two entered the settlement and saw the countless people roaming around. It was a little morbid sometimes when he thought about it. Both of them felt at peace when in that area, even though nothing was there but flora and gravestones. He wondered if he was doing a good job at being there for Myne; there were times when he felt worthless when it came to raising her.
Sometimes it felt like he was abandoning them in order to get rid of Salem and find a way back.
"How have you been feeling lately?" He asked.
"I haven't been sick in a while, so I'm pretty good!" She bounced in his arms a bit.
"Good." He nodded. It was silent for the next few minutes as the two simply enjoyed the peace, he looked at her when he saw her wiggling another one of her teeth. He pulled her hand away and told her not to wiggle it too much. She was still in the process of losing her baby teeth and some of her adult teeth had came in.
"Are you leaving soon?" She asked.
"I am." He nodded slowly.
"Oh..." She whispered.
"It'll be next week, if that makes you feel better." He said.
"No." She shook her head and hugged his neck.
"I'm sorry." He apologized.
"Why do you have to leave?" She asked.
"There are some things I need to take care of." He answered simply.
"Will you take long?" She asked.
"I don't know." He said, causing her to pout a bit. Her cheek was lightly pinched and tugged at before she swatted his hand away, giggling a bit. The two of them made their way back to the apartment. Ren and Nora decided to babysit the other children while Maaya went to work. He took the stairs like always and made his way up them, coming across the familiar hallway that he had seen so many times. Reaching inside of his bag, he brought out a spare key and unlocked the door, opening it and closing it after the two of them entered.
He set Myne down and watched her scamper off before being swarmed by the other children. Nana was picked up and he saw her tail wagging in excitement. She made a grabbing gesture and he brought her close to him. Almost immediately, she clamped onto him and hugged him tightly while the others tried to climb on him or just hugged him. He set her down and they let him walk towards the living room while following him close behind.
He sat down and just looked at Ren face down in the floor. The boy barely lifted his head in greeting before putting it back down and sighing a bit.
"How do you get them to listen?" Ren asked tiredly. The kids had warmed up to him and finally revealed their true colors when he realized how energetic they were. Nana made up nearly half of that energy since she was borderline feral at times.
"They know better." Six responded, looking at each of them. They looked away but looked at him when he told them to, claiming that it was wrong to cause unnecessary trouble for Ren. All of them apologized to him before sitting at the coffee table or climbing inside their little nest of blankets and pillows.
"Nora went to the market." Ren answered Six's unspoken question when he started to look around.
"When did she leave?" Six asked.
"Half an hour ago." Ren answered. Six hummed quietly and looked at Nana when she spilled some milk over her head. She shook her head before going over to him and wiping her head on his cloak, drying her hair before going to clean up her mess. He just stared at her with a flat expression before shaking his head and turning back to his things. They sat near him and climbed up on his shoulder while looking at him make something.
"What's that?" Calliope asked.
"It is ointment." He answered calmly.
"What's it for?" She asked.
"It assists in healing wounds." He answered.
"Food?" Nana asked.
"No, not food." He shook his head. She pouted and clambered off of him before kneeling near Ren and sitting on his back. He groaned at the weight before feeling her climb over him. Six's head snapped to the door when he heard the keys jingle and the door unlock. Maaya slid her body inside while carrying Isaac in her arms. He had his head in the crook of her neck and he was silent.
"Are you hungry?" She asked.
"..." Isaac just shook his head and tucked his body further into her.
"Tired?" She asked.
"..." He just shook his head again.
"You don't know?" She asked.
"..." He just shook his head the final time and didn't make any other noise. When she tried to set him down, he just tightened his hold onto her. She sighed and wiped away a tear from his cheek underneath his paper bag. It crinkled when he adjusted his head and it rubbed against her head but she didn't mind it. The two of them just sat on the couch and he still clung to her.
Prushka grunted as she climbed off Six and onto the couch. She threw her arms on the cushion and lifted her right leg onto it, rolling herself up. Her feet sunk into the soft cushion as she walked on it, but quickly sat down when Maaya told her to. The children were well behaved despite their past experiences, but certain things set them off.
Isaac didn't like having his bag removed and face seen, Calliope didn't like the sound of drills, Arthur hated needles, Prushka held an unhealthy amount of fear for the guards, Cyrus hated extremely loud noises, and Nana hated being restrained along with dog muzzles.
Myne didn't like new people unless she met them previously or her parents knew them. She refused to go near any new party and her whole mood took a complete opposite of what people knew her as. All of them shared one common dislike...
Medical practitioners.
"Isaac, why're you sad?" Prushka asked.
"..." He just turned away from her and tucked himself into a little ball.
"He's a little upset, sweetheart. He'll feel better later." Maaya said.
"Okay." She said before sliding off the furniture and onto the ground. Her small body climbed onto Six again and wormed her way under his hand.
Nana ate her food inside her little bowl and some of it spilled onto the coffee table. A small burp was heard from her and she looked at Maaya, noticing Isaac drift off to sleep and go limp. Maaya closed her eyes and her head slumped down a bit when she felt some of the fatigue start to hit her.
"Mama?" She asked.
"Yes, baby?" Maaya opened her eyes and smiled gently at her. Nana didn't say anything but just giggled happily and continued to eat her food messily.
Six just cleaned her mouth with a napkin, gripping her face gently when she tried to shy away from the cleaning. Once he was done and her face was cleaner, she resumed eating. He turned to Calliope and noticed her nose bleed a little bit, making him tug her towards him. She didn't blow her nose since it usually made it worse and just let the little tissue soak up the blood.
Her feline ears flicked a bit at the different noises and she gasped when it started to rain and the droplets hit the window. He just kept her in front of him until the bleeding finally stopped and then let her go up to the window. She liked to see the weather change, it was a welcoming sight after seeing nothing but grey walls and lab equipment for her whole life.
Arthur and Cyrus just sat by him and watched as he crafted some items with interest. It wasn't long before the children started to doze off and he carried each one to their bedroom and tucked them in. Maaya was asleep on the couch and he carried her to her bedroom before tucking her in then leaving the room. The door shut with a soft click and he saw Ren lying on the ground, staring up at the ceiling.
"This is nice..." He said.
"What is?" Six asked.
"Just... this." Ren gestured towards the apartment.
"..." Six just nodded before lying down next to him and staring at the ceiling. The two of them simply enjoyed the silence before the door opened up and Nora strolled inside. She had that familiar smile with a bag of groceries and announced her presence. There was only one pair of feet running and it was Nana's. The little Faunus happily greeted Nora before grabbing some meat and tearing into it. Her sharp teeth easily ripped it apart and turned it into strands before being quickly consumed.
Not a second later, she quickly scampered back to the room and fell back asleep with the others. Nora just put the groceries away and looked at the two in the living room, shrugging then decided to join them. They lied down in a triangle with their heads close to one another. It was a comfortable silence, one that filled them with peace. He figured it was better to enjoy it while it lasted.
How long has it been since he's had a semblance of peace?
He stood on top of the bounty target, ignoring the man's pleas as he tightly tied him up while the others watched. They silently observed as he taught them various tips and tricks to successfully hunt their target. Ren and Nora just listened carefully, mentally logging it in their heads while Jaune and Pyrrha simply stood to the side. They had to mentally prepare themselves to deal with Six.
They had agreed to come with the other two when they told them that they all were hunting with him. At first, it made it seem like they were hunting Grimm or animals, but then he came out from left field and informed them that they were hunting a person. Neither Jaune nor Pyrrha chose to comment on how he seemingly treated the person as a mere target and not a living being.
The way he talked was disturbing, their target's life was expendable in his eyes and trying to relate to them was useless. His tone became distant and cold and he told them to ignore the feeling they carried while distancing themselves from their target. It made hunting the target all the more easy. Ren and Nora seemed to take this advice better than the other two did.
"I didn't even do anything!" The man struggled.
"It's useless to lie." Six responded calmly, a small crack was heard as he tightened up the rope and broke the man's ankle. A scream echoed across the forest and Six just sighed before raising his DMR and slamming on the man's head. His face kicked up a small amount of dirt as it hit the ground.
"You killed him!" Jaune cried out.
"No I didn't." Six responded. He always made sure to hold back if the bounty was required to be taken in alive. Unless he was sure that they needed to be taken out for good, he always monitored his strength. Spartans had to always calculate how much force they put into something, lest they break something or injure someone unintentionally.
"Won't he have some trouble with his head?" Pyrrha asked.
"Possibly." Six answered, grabbing the rope wrapped around the man's ankles and beginning to drag him back towards the ship. She distanced herself a bit away from him as he dragged the man's unconscious body across the dirt, seemingly ignoring the fact that rocks and sticks were digging into his body.
"So uh... what'd he do?" Jaune asked.
"This man has committed various acts; which ranges from rape, kidnapping, murder, and arson." Six listed evenly. This wasn't the first time he's dealt with people like the victim he was currently dragging.
"Oh..." Jaune gulped.
"So where did he come from?" Pyrrha asked.
"Mistral. Specifically the city known as Kuchinashi." Six answered. He had done some digging and found out the man escaped authorities using bribes, threats, and other means to assist him. He caused a ruckus over in Mistral and only fled to Vale during Six's violent purging of the scum in the city, only to flee right into Six's hunting grounds here in Vale's frontier.
They avoided saying anything as they continued to walk towards the ship. It was silent and the only sound was the occasional snapping of a twig or a pebble tumbling against the ground. A trail was drawn in the dirt as he simply dragged the body for the next several minutes. The leaves swayed up above their heads as the wind blew and there was the occasional chirping of a bird.
The trail they walked on had a fallen log and they vaulted over it while he just easily stepped over it, carelessly dragging the bounty's body across it. He didn't care about the man and knew that once he delivered him to the settlement, he'd probably be executed. The faint sound of a waterfall met their ears but none of them felt like stopping by and simply trekked towards the ship.
After fifteen minutes of walking, they came across a small clearing; where the grass was flat in certain spots from an invisible force. He brought up his left arm and pressed the screen on his TACPAD before looking up. The ship made a warbling noise as it came into view and the doors opened. Steam spread from the openings and the doors hit the grass softly.
They walked inside the ship and watched as he strung the man up on a hook like a butchered animal. He didn't say anything and just sat in his seat while Ren and Nora stood behind him as he turned on the ship and took off. The three of them broke into an easy conversation, with Six giving them advice on how to hunt their targets better while Jaune and Pyrrha just sat in their seats awkwardly.
Talking to Six was like talking to a brick wall to them. He was almost impossible to strike up a conversation with and he didn't mince his words in the slightest; anything that was personal was either ignored or he changed the subject. Jaune remembered one night when he asked Six what he thought was good about him and the older man could barely come up with anything. He claimed that he had potential, but it was small.
Pyrrha couldn't talk to him because she felt some unknown terror when she did. To her, he didn't feel right for some reason. It was like he was some sort of anomaly within the world. She had a knack of detecting aura despite people them not activating it, but when she got close to Six... she didn't feel anything. He was like some, soulless machine that took the form of a man. The more her and Jaune read into him, the more they realized how dangerous he was.
Vale's city viewed him as a violent phantom, destroying whatever was in its path and disappearing shortly after. The lower class painted murals in his name while the elite locked everything at night thinking he would come get them. In Mistral, he was practically viewed as a demon in a cloth. News of his violent killings and mutilations spread like a wildfire and it seemed he was indiscriminate on what scum he killed.
They knew it was him because Adam Taurus' sword was seen in his weapon locker.
The frontier viewed him in a different light though. Many saw him as a sort of avenging angel, and those who met him often spoke about him in a positive light. He was quiet, calm, and would assist them if he had the power to do so. He did what was necessary and earned the respect of the people within the wild, but he wasn't infallible. There were times he made mistakes, but would quickly learn from them.
"Hey uh... hey dad?" Nora struggled a bit to get the word out. She didn't know if saying that word would ruin their relationship or not.
"Yes?" He turned to her, noticing her relax a bit.
"What's your biggest regret?" She asked. It was a question that's been plaguing hers and Ren's minds for the last several years. To know the reason as to why the person who saved them left after they got attached to him.
"Leaving you two to fend for yourselves all those years ago." He answered after several long minutes.
There were several things he wished he could have done differently. He could have done more for Noble; allowing Jorge to live and continue the fight, push Kat out of the way before that Field Marshal shot her, pilot the Pelican so that Carter could continue to lead, or even take Emile's place so that he could escape with the package. Those things were out of his control though, and he had come to terms that war didn't discriminate who it took.
He had control over being there for Ren and Nora though, and he left out of his own volition. Back then, he didn't consider the possibility that those two children that he had taken care of could have died in the several years he was away. It made him realize after years, that if they died then there was nobody to blame but himself.
"So why did you leave?" Ren asked, throwing him out of his thoughts.
"...I did not know how to be a father back then and thought that if I left you in good hands, you would have a chance at a normal life." Six answered truthfully.
"Did you think about us?" Ren asked.
"As the years drifted by, my thoughts often went to you two." Six answered.
"So why didn't you come look for us or check up on us?" Nora asked.
"I don't know." Six answered, and that was the truth. There wasn't a single reason he couldn't check up on them over the years.
"..." They didn't say anything and knew that he wasn't one to lie to them. He really didn't know and while it did bug them a bit, they were willing to look past it.
"Why are you leaving again?" Ren asked.
"There are some things I need to take care of." Six answered calmly.
"We can help you-" She started.
"No." He interrupted and looked at them.
"Why?" She asked.
"It's something I need to do alone. I need you two to look after Maaya and the others while I'm gone." He told them. They didn't seem happy with that, but he explained to them that he needed them to have a chance to live a normal life. The one thing they craved for was right there in the settlement and to waste that opportunity was the last thing he wanted.
So with great reluctance, the accepted and simply enjoyed the rest of the ride.
When the day came for him to leave, all the children had collectively cried and blocked the door. They crowded around him and put all their body weight on him, as if their combined effort would stop him. Each one offered something they treasured the most and offered it to him, thinking it would be enough for him to stay, but he remained firm. He had to leave them for now in order to deal with Salem and her remaining acolytes. That didn't include getting the rest of the facilities up and running.
Ren and Nora were in the apartment and he fished in his bag before handing them the cloaks. They took it and put it over their shoulders before bringing out the knives and handing them to the two of them. Both of them observed the blades and it gleamed in the light. The bone handle felt nice in their grip and they saw there was a little design on it. He explained to them that they were to help out to the best of their ability and they nodded.
Maaya just smiled a bit and he brought out the boar cloak, wrapping it around her shoulders. It spread across the floor a bit, but it was warm and she found herself drawing into it more. As much as she wanted him to stay, she knew that he needed to handle some things and letting him go for now was the best course of action. This was possibly the longest he's ever stayed in the settlement and she would be lying to say that she didn't enjoy every second of it.
"Kids... he needs to go." Maaya said, trying to pry them off of him.
"But... but why?" Prushka hiccupped and clung to his leg and looked up at her with teary eyes.
"I need to handle some things." He bent down and wiped away a few tears with his thumb.
"You can't have someone else do it?" Arthur asked.
"No." Six shook his head and placed his hand on top of the boy's head.
"Why don't you all go get something to give him while I talk to him for a few minutes, alright?" Maaya asked. They blubbered and wiped their noses and eyes before trotting off to their room along with Ren and Nora. It only left him and Maaya near the door and he was about to leave, but she gripped his arm.
"I'll be back soon." He said.
"I know you will... but be careful, alright?" She asked.
"I will." He nodded.
"I'm serious." She said.
"I am too." He responded.
"Try not to cause too much trouble. Whether you want to admit it or not, these children see you as their father and they want you to be around. They went through so much already and-" She stopped when he put his hand on her shoulder and stared at her.
"I know they did, but I need to make sure they have a safe environment to grow up in." He said quietly. She looked at him and he could see that she didn't want him to leave, his presence was a nice change of pace within these last few years.
"You can't do everything alone, you know?" She asked after a few seconds.
"..." He just stayed silent and nodded. In some ways, she was right, and he wasn't doing it alone since he had Auspicious. However, nobody had done anything regarding Salem and Ozpin for too long and Remnant suffered for it.
They looked when the children came back and swarmed him while blocking the door as well when he tried to move towards it.
It took several minutes, but the children eventually moved out of the doorway and he opened it. He tried to stop them from following him down the hall and would constantly take them back, but decided to let them see him out was probably what they wanted. So he let them follow him out the door, like a pack of youngsters following their parent. Myne held his cloak while she held onto another one's hand and they formed a line.
They followed him out the door and through the settlement, drawing countless eyes. The children momentarily got over their fear of the countless people, but still clung to him for safety and they stopped at the gate. He just said his farewell and promised that he'd be back soon before walking out the gate. Turning back one last time, he saw Maaya carrying Myne in her arms while the other children waved at him. Ren and Nora stood at their sides and gave him a wave while he nodded and turned back towards the wild.
The dirt compressed against his weight as he made his way towards the ship and entered it after a few minutes of walking. It turned on and started to ascend, blowing the grass and leaves as it gained altitude. He flew over the settlement and looked at it, seeing them all look up at him before he sped off towards the distance. As much as he liked staying, he needed to leave them for now.
"Are you sure you want to leave at the moment?" Auspicious asked.
"I am. We need to get the facilities up and running, deal with Salem and her acolytes, and deal with Ironwood." He answered.
"One of these days, you know you'll have to settle down sooner or later." She said.
"Not possible." He shook his head.
"It is possible, you're just denying it." She jabbed.
"..." He just shook his head and continued to fly the ship, high above the clouds. It wasn't possible for him to settle down, normal people could and Six was far from normal. It was a horrible thing to burden Maaya with the responsibility of raising seven children, but he knew that if he stayed and did nothing, then Salem would make her move. He wasn't going to risk another Tyrian incident.
Once he found her, he'd kill her. If that wasn't possible then he'd imprison her and leave her to spend the rest of eternity in a cold, empty cell. He viewed her as much of a parasite as the Monitor did and the two of them shared a mutual goal of ridding her from the Installation. Once all the problems were dealt with, he could contact the UNSC without much trouble from that point on.
They'd have another world to look into and possibly establish a mutual relationship if Remnant is willing to. He knew it would take a while for the people of the frontier to come to terms with it, but they'd get around to it eventually.
"Getting the last facility in Mistral up and running would be our top priority." She said.
"Mark it." He told her and looked up when an objective marker was placed. Going back to the main facility and then teleporting to the one in Mistral was the best course of action. The only thing he didn't like was the sense of vertigo he would feel when he did it, but it was easily pushed aside.
"You still have that bounty on your head." She informed.
"I know." He responded. It had gone up from forty-four million to a hundred and twenty million since he got back from Mistral, rescued the children from Merlot's island of horrors, and lied low for a few months. He didn't really care because it just meant whatever party tried to claim it then it would be easier to kill them.
"How do you want to go about handling it?" She asked.
"Lure them into a location and eliminate them all at once." He answered calmly. It was the best course of action and he figured he'd claim the hit put on his head then give the funds towards the frontier, especially after Ozpin's meddling. The only problem was how he was going to execute it.
"Explosives?" She floated next to him.
"Yes. I'm not going to go back into the city and hunt them down one by one. Luring them into the frontier and detonating the explosives is the best course of action." He said before putting a little trinket on the console. It was one of the little items the children made for him, acting as a bargaining chip in order for him not to leave.
"Once we get the facility up and running, I believe dealing with the bounty then acquiring the relic is the next step." She said.
"..." He just nodded and went silent. She was right regarding the bounty, because the moment he set foot in Mistral, whatever scum that was foolish enough would come after his head. The opportunity was too good to pass up for some, even with him purging the filth that clung to the kingdom's foundation.
He just needed to take things one step at a time, crush any opposition in his way, then go back to the things he enjoyed doing.
Summer wiped Yang's wounds with a cloth and replaced her bandages before leaving the room without a word. She didn't want to deal with her and walked through the house slowly, petting Zwei as he sat on the couch before picking up the documents on the table. It was Yang's expulsion letter from Beacon, a list of names of the people she injured looking for Six, and the possible consequences she would face.
It broke her heart to see her stepdaughter injured like that, but she realized that she had what was coming to her. Despite the warnings, and even the people actively trying to stop her, she went and sought out an unstoppable machine. She was lucky to even be alive because they all thought Six would kill her, or at least one of the settlements would.
Her deeds spread across the frontier like a wildfire and people were openly hostile to Huntsmen and Huntresses at this point. Even the ones who were out to help out of the goodness of their hearts were met with death threats and violence in most cases. Ozpin's meddling with the livelihood was a slow buildup of tension and turmoil, causing the settlements and even the city to start to doubt them.
Yang was the one that opened the floodgates and sealed everyone's opinions about the former protectors of humanity.
Summer had to find another job, working as a baker. She had to start going through the courses years ago when she realized that Ozpin was beginning to go downhill and his obsession was going to get her killed. It paid the bills decently and she actually enjoyed it while Tai still continued to teach.
There was a knock on the door and she went up to it, looking through the peephole and seeing that it was Qrow, making her unlock the door. He stepped inside and shut the door before wiping his feet on the mat and sighing a bit.
"You reek of alcohol." She commented as she sat down on the couch.
"Was at a bar." He said tiredly.
"I can tell. This early though? It's four in the afternoon." She said.
"Yeah... how is she?" He asked.
"Recovering." She said evenly and looked at her scroll.
"Good." He said, even if he was slightly intoxicated, he could hear the bitterness in her tone.
"Yeah..." She barely whispered.
"Where's Tai?" He asked.
"Getting groceries." She answered curtly. It was quiet for the next several minutes and he just threw himself on the other side of the couch, taking off his shoes and putting his feet up. She slapped his leg when it brushed against her and she got up to sit in the other chair, still looking at her scroll.
The door opened and Tai walked in, giving a small wave to Qrow before going to the kitchen and putting the bags on the counter. Summer got up and helped him put the groceries away before they all sat in the living room, turning on the news and watching it. Not a single one of them wanted to say anything as they watched the news cover the recent events.
The inner settlements were denying resources to the city, driving prices of good up further and the outer settlements were quiet, not bothering to deal with the city anymore. The council was offering a reward regarding anything related to Six, labeling him a national threat. They saw murals of him painted on walls and there were different groups that followed him.
However, there were a few that were more fanatical with the topic regarding him. Some outright worshiped him and claimed he was some type of avenging angel, meant to punish the wicked.
"That's pretty fucked up." Qrow slurred.
"This whole thing is fucked up." Tai sighed.
"You think he knows?" Summer asked.
"There's no way he can't know. Or the guy doesn't care, which seems to be the norm with him." Qrow waved his hand. There wasn't much do now since Ozpin was gone, the reputation of Huntsmen and Huntresses has been officially tarnished, and half his contacts ceased all contact with him.
"I feel like this whole thing is gonna get worse." Tai said.
"It probably is. The guy's practically viewed as this ultimate killing machine and people are either too scared to fight him or have a death wish if they do try." Qrow said.
"Others just want to move on. They probably just feel tired from all the bloodshed he's been causing." She added.
"How's the squirt handling it?" He asked.
"Ruby's coming home for a while and the rest of her team are going home for a while as well." She said.
"Yikes. I take it she's not doing so well?" He asked.
"Considering her older sister is practically in a coma, claimed Summer wasn't her mom, hurt innocent people, and caused a big rift between the them... I'd say she's not." Tai answered.
"Should've guessed that." Qrow shrugged.
"I feel bad for Glynda though." She said.
"Yeah. Yang was the straw that broke the camel's back and now she has to deal with the fallout." Qrow nodded.
"So what are we gonna do about her though?" Tai gestured towards Yang's room.
"Let her deal with her consequences. Her chances of ever becoming a Huntress are gone and she's even lucky to be alive." Summer said. Yang saying that she wasn't her mother was one thing, a hurtful thing she had to come to terms with, risking her life and injuring countless people was another story. Despite people telling her not to go looking for a fight she wouldn't win, and even stopping her, she still went there.
"We going to help spitfire out?" Qrow asked.
"Not this time. If she wants to change, then she needs to do it herself. We tried to stop her but she didn't listen. Now it's time for her to grow up and own up to her actions, whether she wants to or not." She shook her head.
Once Yang woke up, she'd have to deal with the consequences of her actions. For the first time in her life, Summer wouldn't be there to help her pick herself up. It was a task that the younger girl would have to do herself.
She had hit rock bottom and the only thing left to do was climb back up. It wouldn't be an easy thing to do though, not with how much trouble she caused within the last few weeks. This was a situation where she learned from her wrongdoings and change her ways, or never learn and forever be stuck in the state she was in now.
It's been a while...
