"Good morning," Agradd says opening his eyes.
Raven groans as she slowly cracks open her eyes and looks to see him watching her. "Hey…sleep well?"
"With you, yes," Agradd says smiling at her.
Raven yawns a bit before sitting up. "I'm surprised you wanted to sleep here though."
"I feel comfortable around you," Agradd says.
Raven smiles a little at that. 'Give him a morning kiss,' Passion suggested.
'No, take him to the shower with us,' Brave says.
'Or you can just ease him into all that,' Knowledge says.
'He is now hugging us,' Happy says.
Raven looks to Agradd and sees that he has wrapped his arms around her and put his head on her shoulder. 'And he's still cute,' Rage admitted.
"Raven?" Agradd asks.
"Sorry," Raven apologizes and hugs him back.
Agradd just laid his head on her shoulder.
Raven sighs before leaning over and gives a small kiss on his cheek. 'Aw,' Passion gushes.
"You feel better?" Agradd asks.
Raven nods against him and hugs him tighter. "Yes."
"Good," Agradd says before kissing her.
'He's actually learning how to deal with a relationship,' Passion says proudly.
Agradd holds her there until they hear the unicorn yawning in some way.
Raven sighs and pulls back a little. "You want to handle this one and I'll get ready?"
"Alright," Agradd says getting up and motions for the unicorn to follow.
Raven smiles as he left before going to get ready. 'Should we get a cute dress?' Happy asks and gets a slap from Rage.
Agradd hums as he walks down the hall with the unicorn following till he ends up at Starfire's door and opens it to see her sleeping in a bed rather messily with Silky snoring beside her. The unicorn walking in and looking down at her while staring deep into her supposed gaze.
Agradd hums as he flips through the spell book Raven gave him. "Ah. Here it is, invisibility."
The unicorn tilts its head and watches as it senses Agradd disappearing from sight.
Starfire starts to come around as she opens her eyes she sleepily gets up. "Morning Silky, morning unicorn," she says walking past and to the bathroom where the unicorn follows, still doing what it was asked.
Agradd hums quietly as he watches the unicorn stare still to Starfire, keeping up the gaze quite well in winning the staring contest.
Starfire starts brushing her teeth before seeing it in the mirror and seconds later everything asleep on the island is awaken by the loudest scream that Starfire could make.
Agradd wasn't sure what to give as an expression before everyone started rushing to Starfire's room and sees the unicorn staring her down still. "Uh…how did we miss this one?" Robin had to ask.
"Get it out of here!" Starfire yells.
The unicorn whines and sputters at her, wanting to step closer.
"Get it away, please," Starfire begs and Agradd leads it hiddenly out the door with the others watching.
'He is getting mischievous,' Brave says as Agradd just told Raven what he had done.
'Maybe he wants to have fun,' Shy suggested.
'With us?' Passion asks smirking.
'Regular fun,' Shy clarifies.
'No. The more intimate kind,' Passion says.
Rage actually blushes at the thought of Agradd doing many things to Raven.
'Think of it Rage. Him and us alone, doing everything you could want,' Passion says leaning against her, waving a hand in front as if showing her something.
Rage blushes harder now.
In an undisclosed facility, Deadshot was sitting on his bunk waiting. Next to his cell was captain Boomerang, who was asleep when the door opened and in walked Waller.
"Deadshot," Waller states before Boomerang's bunk coursed with some electricity, making him yell out in pain as he awoke.
"Dammit. Worst wake up call," Deadshot groans.
"I got a job for both of you," Waller says simply.
"You going to give us any details?" Boomerang asks after having the bombs implanted into their necks.
"As you are aware, the world is in chaos as many 'mythical' creatures are appearing everywhere," Waller states as images of the situation all over the world is shown.
"That can't be a unicorn," Deadshot had to say as they see the different creatures.
"It is. Now the president wants answers and now. So that is where you come in. You are going after the first confirmed creature," Waller says before showing them Agradd's picture. "He may look human, but you are looking at a fairy."
"Where're the classic wings then?" Boomerang chuckles at.
"From what we stole from the league, fairy's wings don't appear unless they enter a certain state," Waller says unamused.
"So where are we going?" Cold asks.
"Titan's tower in Jump City. Apparently, he has joined them. Our info suggests he had little to no training in magic while in his homeland of Avalon. As such, he is new to the field. He also has the unique ability to have his soul leave his body and possess others. Those with magic seem to have some resistance to this though. Any questions?" Waller asks.
"So why not have a magic prisoner with us?" Boomerang asks, gesturing to everyone.
"Because they are already being used again…" Waller stop getting an alert. "Another was just eaten."
"We need magic," Boomerang repeats in a singing voice.
"Don't tempt me," Waller warns.
"So where's our ride?" Deadshot interrupts.
"We will get there. Now there will be no killing. If any of you kills someone in Jump City, the tower, or anywhere before you get back, I will blow your heads off," Waller informs seriously.
"That will be tough to handle with superpowered people," Boomerang says.
"That is why we have three distractions," Waller says before all of them are handed some sort of medallion. "These should offer some protection from the magic."
"These trinkets will give us protection? How? Magic shield?" Boomerang asks sarcastically.
"Alright, if that is not enough, then you can feed some of the creatures we have caught. We have lost seven to them already," Waller says.
"Define lost?" Sports Master inquires.
"Torn to shreds and eaten," Waller says completely serious.
"…okay then," Sports Master could only say.
"Any more smart ass comments?" Waller asks.
"No. Just about cleared up," Cold breathes out.
"Alright then. You will take…" Waller started to explain to them the travel method.
"Why are there so many of these things?!" Gizmo yells.
"This should not be normal," Agradd says as he and the unicorn watch everyone run around, trying to gather all the creatures they got penned up. "Right?" he asks turning to the unicorn herd behind him.
The herd shakes their heads as one is seen eating corn.
"Okay. Now I know," Agradd only says as he watches everyone try to herd all the creatures with Raven getting the most results from what she read of them.
"Why are these giant chickens so mean?" Beast Boy says as he gets pecked by one.
"Is it because they sense the fact you could be an animal that would eat them?" Agradd says out loud, mostly to himself while the unicorns all use their horns and magic to grab more food and sweets to eat as they watch the show.
"No. Bad chicken," Cyborg says smacking one, only for it to smack him back with a wing and then all the chickens smacking each other with their wings.
Agradd blinks and looks to the herd of unicorns still eating and watching the show till he takes a cupcake from a very pink one looking really happy and eats and watches as well. "Unicorns have great taste."
"CHICKEN FIGHT!" Mammoth calls excitedly, jumping in like it was a mosh pit.
"I wonder if Raven can handle much more of this?" Agradd asks himself and gets a sputter from the purple one behind him. "She is a good person….oh, get over it. At least she is not an orc."
The purple unicorn sputters again and looks away as she munches on a cupcake.
Agradd, seeing this, goes back to watching Raven as she tries to get them to start moving again instead of slapping each other.
A little runaway purple dragon scampers up to them before jumping on top of the purple unicorn's back and turns to Agradd before gesturing him to Raven. "What?" Agradd asks confused and the dragon kept gesturing to Raven in a helping motion. "I don't know how besides making fried chicken," Agradd says and the little dragon starts to drool at the thought.
The purple unicorn whinnies up to it and makes the dragon shake its head widely to calm down before the pink one leans over and drops a cupcake with crystals in it into its hands. The dragon immediately gorges on it and makes a mess of himself before licking it all up. Leaving the purple one to snort with a displeased look at the pink one who gives a wild smile.
Agradd kept watching them as the chickens were forced with Mammoth into the cage.
"Hey!" Mammoth yells from inside the cage.
"I wonder if these guys are like this every day," Agradd says to himself.
"These things are really stupid, aren't they?" Jinx asks Raven.
"Yes. They are copying everything," Raven says.
"Is that why we have a roof over their pen?" Jinx asks.
"You ever see turkeys in a rainstorm?" Raven asks, sounding very off subject.
Jinx raises an eyebrow before turning to look at Agradd messing the unicorns and a little dragon. "So…how's the relationship?"
"Good, but like turkeys, they will stare up at the sky when it rains with mouths open and will drown," Raven informs.
"You're deflecting," Jinx points out, pointing at her.
"You asked why the roof was needed," Raven points out.
"…oh," Jinx says getting it.
"How is a giant chicken a mythical creature anyway?" Agradd asks the obvious.
"A lesser magical creature. Sometimes they lay golden eggs or even a basilisk egg," Raven informs.
"Strange," Agradd simply says thinking. "You would think they would keep them and use them to lay gold."
"Yeah, they seem keen to do that at first before I told them about the basilisk eggs. A giant snake with poisonous breath that can kill and its glare can also kill," Raven informs.
"I see…wouldn't they able to destroy the egg before that happens?" Agradd asks curiously.
Raven smirks a little to the side. "I might have told that they are grown by the time the egg is laid."
"How true is that?" Agradd asks.
Raven just turns her smirk to him at that and the unicorns all sputter at her, almost bashing her evilness.
"Oh, you're good," Jinx says smirking before noticing something missing. "Where did the little dragon go?"
Agradd slowly looks over to the little dragon in front of the hen pen with a large chicken being spun around over a fire. "There."
"Hey, hey, no!" Billy calls as multiple people run over to the trouble.
"Impressionable," Agradd says as they put out the fire and take the little dragon away.
The purple unicorn sputters and whinnies at the dragon as he is brought back, almost scolding him while the little guy looks ashamed.
"Where did the dragon come from anyways?" Agradd asks.
Raven and Jinx look to each other, slightly confused as well. They don't have any form of lizards around here.
A white unicorn with wings tittered in the back of the herd, sipping away dainty at a flower cup tea while eating some cake with frosting.
"Alright, we are in position. Waller, you can begin your distractions," Deadshot says inside a stealth fighter.
"Understood," Waller says over the coms.
"Right. Now let's see what we got," Sportsmaster says putting on his mask and getting his equipment ready while sitting next to Boomerang.
"We didn't need any help," Robin says to Kaldur'ahm as the rest of the team looked over the creatures.
"The league thought you could for now. Until they verified they are not up to no good," Aqualad says referring to the hive five who were on lunch break.
"They have not done any wrongdoing. Rather, they have been helping control the packs of animals. Even calming them down. They said they were overwhelmed with them all when they tried to hoard them in the beginning and then they couldn't control it on their own. So they gave up," Agradd explains as he walks over.
"Agradd, correct?" Aqualad asks.
"Yes," Agradd confirmed simply.
"Kaldur'ahm or, as some refer to me, Aqualad senior," Aqualad introduces.
"Agradd…I do not know my history that much," Agradd admits.
"I have heard as much from the league," Aqualad says.
"Does the rest of your team know?" Robin asks.
"No, they are all in the dark about Agradd. All they know is that he has magical powers," Aqualad informs.
"That is okay, right?" Agradd asks Robin, turning to him.
"It should be fine," Robin says looking to Kid Flash, Superboy, Ms. Martian, and Artemis. "This the whole team?"
"Yes. We are all members is here," Aqualad.
"Where is Rocket?" Robin asks.
"School. She said she wanted to finish a few things," Aqualad says smiling.
"You know something you are not sharing?" Agradd asks looking to Robin.
"I was apart of there team until…I had a falling out with Batman, my mentor, and decided to distance myself far away from him," Robin informs.
"Thus, leaving the team and changing your outfit," Aqualad says.
Robin said nothing as the team looked around before slowly coming over to see him one by one.
"Is this what they mean when someone says awkwardly?" Agradd asks Raven after rejoining her.
"Yes. It is," Raven sighs as she slowly pushes him away.
"So what now?" Agradd asks taking a seat in the sand.
"We have to keep working on these animals until we find a permanent place," Raven explains.
"And th…" Agradd starts before the communicators started going off.
"Great," Raven sighs as she takes it out and opens it. "What is going on?"
"Yo. We got Cinderblock, Plasmus, and Overload rampaging in the city," Cyborg says over the comms.
"Titans, we will go and deal with this," Robin says before walking up to Agradd. "Agradd, we need you to stay here with the team in case someone tries to make a grab for the magical creatures," Robin informs.
"Okay," Agradd says simply, though Raven looked like she wanted to say something.
"Let's go," Robin says before running off to the garage.
"We'll be done soon," Raven says before flying off after the others.
"I'll be waiting," Agradd says watching her fly away.
"What was that?" Miss Martian asks teasingly.
Agradd says nothing before walking over to a smooth rock and starts meditating.
"I don't think that worked," Aqualad says notingly.
"So what are we really here for?" Artemis asks as Kid Flash zipped off to raid the titan's fridge.
BANG
"Who places paint bombs in fridges?!"
Agradd subtly smiles.
"Miss Martian?" Aqualad asks before she linked all the team's minds to talk in private. 'Our real objective is to watch over Agradd there. He has had assassination attempts on him before and we know he was in a suspected Cadmus research facility. With all that has happened, they may try and get him back either for answers or to find out more about his species' biology,' Aqualad thinks.
'The real question is what are they trying next for him,' Kid Flash asks, working on getting the paint out.
'That is unclear, but he and Adash are believed to be the last of their species. The last of the Avalonian fairies. Their bodies could hold untold amounts of magical secrets. Something that both the light and Cadmus would do anything to acquire.' Aqualad thinks.
'Though with what we have seen, the light may leave him alone for now as this kind of thing the world is experiencing may set back any plans they have,' Artemis thinks.
'So all that's left is Cadmus,' Miss Martin concludes.
'With him helping to try and contain the damage, that may be the case,' Aqualad says before the titan's tower was hit by something and all the lights went out immediately.
Agradd opens his eyes, trying to look around the area and spot anything out of the ordinary.
'Dude, what is wrong with the doors?' Kid Flash thinks through the link as inside the tower the automatic doors wouldn't budge.
'Try and find another way,' Aqualad thinks before a laser shot near the team outside, knocking them all away.
Agradd tries to pick himself up before seeing some four people running at them across the path from the dock port. Agradd quickly uses his magic and sends some water from the sea rolling across the area and splashes against them all, but only bogs them down for a little while. Agradd then notices something coming at him and sees a metal boomerang flying at him, making him fire some fire magic at it, engulfing it but then blowing it up in his face and sends him back a little.
'The target is Agradd! Protect now!' Aqualad orders with everyone rushing over to help the fairy.
Agradd groans as he gets up and holds a hand to his aching head. Hearing footsteps and even fighting going around him. Trying to see through the smoke, he notices some figures fighting in it up close, sometimes hitting each other or using long-range powers and weapons. All either exploding or canceling each other out. The animals in the pens going wild over the sudden noise and commotions, trying to get away from it by destroying the wall, but couldn't break through.
"Who sent you Sportsmaster?!" Artemis demands, shooting her arrows at him.
"Not telling little girl," Sportsmaster says throwing a discus, intercepting the arrows.
Agradd looks over to Aqualad and sees him with his two energy sticks, making two hammers as he fights off Deadshot, blocking any shots he is shooting while trying to get close and hit him back. Miss Martian was dealing with Boomerang, letting some flying boomerangs go through her as she phased through them, flying at him before punching the daylights out of him, even getting hit a few times as they explode in front of her. Agradd then looks over to Super Boy as he flies at Captain Cold, punching through any ice walls he puts up before flying past him, punching him as he goes by. Captain Cold tries to recover before being hit from behind by a hard punch, quickly turning and trying to hold off another punch with a thick ice wall that only breaks halfway through. Giving Captain Cold a chance to ice him in place, quickly freezing him over as Super Boy kept punching and struggling his way out.
Agradd kept looking through all of them, trying to come up with a plan on how to deal with them. Eventually, he places his hands together and starts to make a fireball before throwing it at Captain Cold, striking him on his back and giving Super Boy a chance to break out and quickly get away, using his speed to hit Cold a few times as patches of flames are still on him. Agradd then turns to Artemis as she kept firing as many arrows as she can at sports master, trying to land a hit and give her enough time to fire off the finishing blow. Each arrow being deflected with sports equipment and each equipment being deflected in turn by other arrows. Agradd prepares to shoot a water spell at them before noticing a boomerang flying past his vision and spinning back toward Miss Martian, making him turn his aim to it and firing off a fireball that strikes it and explodes it behind her. But then a few more were thrown at him and makes him throw a few fireballs at it, having them explode midway, but miss one. Agradd quickly slams his hands into the ground as they glow, a wall of fire rising up in front of him.
The boomerang flies at the wall and explodes on contact, sending Agradd flying back as the wall of fire falls back down into nothing. Agradd groans as he sits up and looks at everyone having trouble with all of them. Barely getting an inch in. Now trying to think of a way to handle this and only gets one. As these fighters are having trouble fighting themselves against a combined force. Agradd quickly gets up and looks over the enemy and eyes Sports Master, quickly chanting and slowly holding out his hands at him. Sports Master sees this happening behind Artemis and charges at her, breaking through her surprise as he grabs her arm and spins her around before throwing her away into Agradd.
"Nox!" Agradd finishes and opens his eyes to see Artemis flying at him, slamming right into him and knocking both of them out.
"I got the kid!" Sports Master calls to the rest as he picks Agradd up over his shoulder, throwing more equipment everywhere while the others were in a deadlock. Seeing they have got what they came for, they all quickly threw down smoke screen bombs and even shot in their general direction, running away the whole time.
"After them! We can't let them leave!" Aqualad orders as he tries to run after the group with the others then catching up.
"Artemis is down," Miss Martian calls as Superboy tried to break out of the ice that he was encapsulated in.
"We got him," Deadshot says over the coms as they rush back to the boat.
"Right. Get clear. That beach will be shelled for a moment," Waller says back.
"Already working on it," Deadshot replied, starting up the boat as everyone got in before speeding off as a whistling sound starts to reach the team's ears that gets louder with each passing moment.
"Miss Martian, barrier now!" Aqualad yells.
Miss Martian quickly gets together with them and holds up a psychic barrier that is then bombarded by shells, blasting holes and blowing dirt high into the air. When the shelling subsided, only a field of burnt craters remained while they saw the boat far off into the distance of the sea before seemingly disappearing.
"We…lost him…" Miss Martian almost seems to admit as she slowly drops her barrier.
"The league will not like this," Aqualad says.
Superboy sighs as he walks up beside them. "Come on…let's go make sure Artemis is okay…who wants to make the call?"
"Well, this is interesting," Agradd says floating around a mindscape he did not recognize.
"Wha…what happened?" a voice calls out.
Agradd looked over and saw the one he was told was Artemis. "Ah, so this is your mindscape," Agradd says.
"Mindscape…wait…what is going on?" the soul of Artemis asks.
"Basically, I misfired with my power. I was aiming to take over the guy you were fighting's body to free you up to help the others when my body was at its limit. I hit you instead when he threw you at me," Agradd explains.
"So…what happened to my body?" she asks, looking around.
"Well…since I am here and not in control, most likely, it was knocked out, but this has never happened with me before so I don't know if this has any effects to either of us," Agradd says just floating there.
"I got to wake up," Artemis says to herself, looking around for a way.
Agradd just floated there, as if he was sitting as she tried in vain to find a way out.
"Tell me how," she demanded as she finally turns to him.
"I am not a master of the mind. All I can do is enter and take control. When I leave, I also take copies of memories as a side effect. So I have absolutely no idea," Agradd informs.
"This is the worst failure ever," Artemis groans.
"…so since we have nothing to do, but wait till your body wakes up or someone comes in, shall we talk to pass the time?" Agradd asks.
"Talk about what?" Artemis asks almost sarcastically, looking around still.
"Did Robin leaving your team hurt it?" Agradd asks.
Artemis stays silent now, frowning at him.
"The feeling you all give off to him isn't the happiest," Agradd adds.
"No…it isn't," Artemis could only say.
Agradd sat there in silence, waiting for her to get ready to continue.
"Since he left, we haven't been able to find any new members and our missions have been scaled back," Artemis informs.
"You blame him for being brought down a level," Agradd concluded.
"I am not proud of it," Artemis says.
"Because you did the same with your father," Agradd adds.
Artemis looks to the side as balls of memories pass by them, showing the little scene. "…yes…"
"Then if you understand, shouldn't you forgive and move on?" Agradd asks simply with of naivety and innocence like Artemis was speaking to a child.
"You don't understand," Artemis sighs at.
"Am I wrong though?" Agradd asks.
Artemis doesn't say anything again, hating how much such knowledge of the situation can be so blunt to the entire thing.
"Do you think that your sister will send you a wedding invitation?" Agradd asks looking at a memory where she spotted red arrow and Cheshire kissing.
Artemis frowns now, turning away and not trying to react again.
"Oh…I am sorry about bringing up relationships," Agradd says seeing that Kid Flash and she had broken up.
Artemis huffs and vows to not react again.
"Huh…is he what is referred to as being a prick during this?" Agradd asks.
Artemis stifles a snark at that. She had to admit, he was right. But she won't say it.
"Did I misuse the word?" Agradd asks.
Artemis sighs and tries to not say anything about that, wanting to let him figure that out. He really needs to learn.
"Oh…is he what Raven referred to as a bitch?" Agradd says sounding like he figured it out.
Artemis could not hold it and guffaws at the sound of that coming out of him so suddenly.
Agradd watched in confusion as Artemis laughs and feels her mood improve in the mindscape, causing it to shift.
"That's…that's a new one for me…and so sudden…" Artemis laughs, trying to control herself.
"You are happier now," Agradd says looking up.
Artemis tries to get herself under control, now realizing she broke her vow here.
"Oh…I think I saw her on the watchtower," Agradd says seeing Huntress in her memories.
Artemis starts to chuckle a little, getting herself under control and looking up to see that Agradd was looking at all the league members of the memories she has.
"I think I saw her with him," Agradd says pointing to the Question.
"Please do not speak of that," Artemis requests.
"I see. I will not," Agradd says pushing it away.
"You are innocent, aren't you?" Artemis asks.
"Raven says I should be, being a fairy," Agradd says.
'That explains a lot,' Artemis thinks to herself but doesn't realize that he can hear it in her mind as well.
"It may be," Agradd says in response.
"So thoughts can be heard here as if we are speaking?" Artemis asks.
"We are speaking. Just with our minds and how we perceive things," Agradd says.
Artemis blinks at him. "How the heck can I keep my thoughts to myself then?"
"I would suggest asking Raven…I am not looking forward to talking with her again. This was a last resort move," Agradd says.
"Wait…last…"
"Hey! Artemis! Time to wake up!"
Artemis groans as she holds her cheek suddenly. "Ow."
"That would be someone trying to wake your body up," Agradd says holding the exact same cheek.
"But…" Artemis starts before holding her other cheek. "Ow."
"Come on Artemis. The others are back."
"I think it would be a toss-up who is in control when your body awakens," Agradd says.
"So who will…"
"Sorry, Artemis."
Artemis's body jolts up after being slapped hard on the cheek again. "About time," Aqualad sighs in relief as the team and the Titans stand behind him.
'Artemis' looks around, looking for Agradd's body. "What happened?" 'Artemis' asks.
Aqualad and the others looked ashamed as the Titans looked worried. "We lost Agradd. We have no idea where they took him even," he explains.
"Well…maybe my body," Agradd says, sheepishly looking at Raven.
'Yeah, smooth,' Artemis thinks.
"Agradd…did you use the spell?" Raven asks worried now, wondering if he can even get back to his body if he lets go of Artemis now.
"…maybe," Agradd says sheepishly as Raven pushes Aqualad aside.
"Wait. I am confused," Kid Flash says as Miss Martian scanned Artemis's mind.
"Agradd…is in her mind," Miss Martian says surprised.
"Wait…what? How?" Kid Flash asks as Superboy looks surprised hearing that.
"It is one of Agradd's special powers," Aqualad informs.
"One that allows him to control and read the memories of others," Raven sighs while being worried about what's going on with his body now and what they need from him.
"One moment. Alright, the link is back up," Miss Martian says.
'Can you hear me now?' Artemis asks.
"Whoa…even more creepy," Kid Flash says.
'Is it ok if I call him what I did earlier?' Agradd asks Artemis.
'Not in front of others,' Artemis answers, almost sounding like she is smiling.
'Why did that sound happy?' Kid Flash asks.
'Also Raven, are you linked with us?' Artemis aks.
'Yes,' Raven says before burping.
'That would be Rude. She is one of Raven emoticlones,' Agradd says.
'Right, we are all here as well,' Happy says. 'Hi, buddy.'
'Hi, Happy. What's the plan now? I can not stay in her body forever,' Agradd points out.
'Wait…you are inside her…' Kid Flash thinks, feeling like he was about to make a joke.
'Agradd, can you give me any control over my body?' Artemis asks.
'I can try. Do not know if it will work,' Agradd informs.
Artemis blinks before standing and brushing herself off and then slapping Kid Flash upside the head.
'That was all Artemis,' Agradd says.
'I know…it felt like it,' Kid Flash groans as he rubs his head.
'Agradd, can you switch out of her? I have more experience with working with you in my mind,' Raven suggests.
'I don't think I can,' Agradd says as Artemis grabs her bow.
Now Raven looks extremely worried at the station. "Try to use the same spell on me," she hopefully requested.
'Artemis?' Agradd requests.
'At least you ask permission,' Artemis thinks before glaring at Kid Flash for some reason as she holsters her bow.
"What?" Kid Flash asks before Agradd started to chant with Artemis's voice.
Raven waits almost impatiently as the chant seems to keep going before she hears it repeat. "Stop," she says, stopping him. "It's not working…is it?" she asks, seriously worried.
"I feel no magic while I do it. Artemis either can't channel my magic or I can't do it away from my body," Agradd says.
Raven slowly hangs her head, feeling defeated at this point for failing him now.
'This is all well and good, but what about his body?' Robin asks.
'Robin is right. We need to start tracking him now,' Aqualad says before turning on his communicator. "Watchtower, come in. Someone has kidnapped Agradd," Aqualad reports.
"Here is the brat Waller," Sportsmaster says presenting her with Agradd's body bound and gagged.
"Check him," Waller orders to a magical Cadmus member.
"I am sensing…no soul in the body," he informs using a spell.
Waller turns her glare to the others when he said this.
"What do you mean no soul?" Deadshot asks.
"He is alive, but his soul is no longer in his body," the mage informs.
"You are all pretty lucky on that part," Waller almost warns.
"For a second, I thought we would have to kill Boomerang for blowing stuff up in his face," Captain Cold says, trying to throw Boomerang under the bus as he rubbed his bandaged hand.
Waller focused her glare on Boomerang who held up his hands.
"Hey. I thought he was being weakened and knocked out," Boomerang said in defense of himself.
"Waller, you said he can jump bodies, right?" Sportsmaster asks.
"That's right. You haven't let him touch anyone, have you?" Waller asks, looking to them all.
"I noticed he was doing some sort of spell aimed at me so I threw my daughter at him. From what I saw, his body went slack about when she was halfway to hitting him. Does he need touch to do this?" Sportsmaster asks.
"We have a problem then," Waller seem to conclude.
"If that is the case, I think my daughter currently has two souls in her body…" Sportsmaster says starting to think.
"Then we have to get his soul back. Before he keeps jumping around. I want this one whole and in one piece. Not split," Waller orders.
"I think I know a way, but it may involve giving the league a way to track us if they haven't somehow figured out how to track us using his soul already," Deadshot says.
"Get to work. We need to get this done now," Waller says warningly.
"I will just need a direct feed to where Artemis's body is at the moment," Deadshot says before grabbing Agradd's body and pulls out a knife.
"You think you can track his body?" Batman asks Dr. Fate.
"Yes, but I will need a bit of time," Fate says using his magic on Artemis's body when all the league's monitors started to switch to Deadshot and Sportsmaster with Agradd's body tied to a chair, gagged still.
"I think we can call off the search now," Flash points out as many tried to track the signal.
"Agradd, you have forty seconds to return to your body or we will make sure you have no body to return to," Sportsmaster says.
Artemis tried to hide her emotions on this, but Agradd knew that she was upset. "Make sure you come find me," Agradd says with Artemis's voice.
'Agradd, wait!' Artemis yells into her mind before he left her.
"Agradd!" Raven calls out, hearing his voice.
Artemis slumps over for a bit before standing up again and looking to Agradd's body on the screen, seeing it jerk and then opening his eyes.
"Good, boy. Now, league, we know you are watching now. Don't try and track us or," Sportsmaster trails off as he presses the knife against Agradd's throat, enough to draw blood.
Agradd looks to them all and almost shakes his head, and even somehow looking to Raven through it, even though he is in a different place now.
Deadshot then makes a cutting motion and the feed went dead. "Find him," Raven growls, her demon side starting to emerge.
"Easy Ravin. We'll find him. Just need some time," Robin tries to placate.
"He may not have that long, knowing Sportsmaster," Artemis says.
Deadshot punches Sportsmaster's mask clear off his face. "That was for damaging the target," Deadshot informs as Cadmus agents started to pack up to leave.
"Get him to the shuttle," Waller instructs before the agents picked up the chair and took him to what looked like a bullet train.
"You all are done here. That's ten years off your sentence," Waller informs as Cadmus agents led them away to be taken back and the bombs to be removed.
Agradd says nothing as a woman takes a seat from across from him, wearing a magical amulet if Agradd remembered his studies right. Most likely to protect her from any of his powers.
"Let's start simple," she says, opening a folder she had onto the table.
Agradd looks down at the gag.
"You don't need to talk. Only nod," the woman advises as she keeps flipping through a few papers. "According to files we stole from the league, you have no memory before your imprisonment, correct?" Waller asks reading.
Agradd gives a raised eyebrow to her at that.
"Yes or no?" Waller asks.
Agradd doesn't move his head and just ends up watching how she reacts.
"Yes or no?" Waller asks glaring before he finally nods. "Alright," Waller says before starting to ask him a series of what seemed like mundane yes or no questions until finally, someone removed his gag. "Now, tell me everything about why these creatures are invading our world?" Waller says.
"We got something," John says over the comms to Superman, Supergirl, and Raven as they flew through the air, using their x-ray vision to look through the rough area they originally had triangulated.
"Where?" Raven asks.
"A warehouse just exploded in the area, sending coordinates now," John informs.
Raven immediately flew towards the area, trying to spot any sign of the trouble or Agradd, hoping he got out.
"I am seeing a tunnel at the scene, partly collapsed, but there are rails in them," Supergirl says.
Raven starts to fly down toward the area. "Hang on Agradd."
"We will follow the tunnel. John, try and figure out where it leads," Superman says before flying past Raven and barrels through the debris and makes a way into the tunnel for Raven and Supergirl.
"Please be safe," Raven pleads to almost no one.
"Waller, we have detected some things entering the tunnels," an agent says.
"Understood. We are done here either way," Waller says getting up and starts walking with the agent as many more started to leave. Eventually, Agradd was left alone and feels something shift.
Agradd looks around, hoping he can find a way out of these binds and back to Raven when he gets out before starting to set his bonds ablaze with his magic, turning his hair, eyes, and cloak red.
"Now how to get out of here?" Agradd asks himself as the bonds burnt through enough to break before he heard something move. "Oh, that can't be good," Agradd says, turning around to see a lion-like creature with bat-like wings and a scorpion tail, but no bigger than a normal sized dog, coming out of the door where Waller and the other left through. "Nice…creature," Agradd tries to placate as he backs up, keeping an eye on it as it follows his movement, step by step.
Agradd takes a few quick looks around, looking for a way out. But sees only the door the creature came out of and the one behind him half the room away. The choice was clear and Agradd ran for it, throwing open the door and using his magic to fly off the train, the creature not far behind him.
"I see something coming at us," Supergirl says.
"What?" Raven asks before something collided into her at full speed.
"Wha…ow…" Agradd groans as he holds his head, floating in front of them. "What have I hi…" he asks before looking up to her.
"Agradd," Supergirl answers.
"Run, now, something is chasing me," Agradd says trying to run.
"You're in the air!" Raven calls, grabbing his shoulders to stop him. "What's chasing you?"
A roar was heard and, coming at them, was the creature using its bat-like wings to fly.
"That," Agradd says.
"Oh, great. A Manticore. Its poison is deadly and can shoot it with barbs on its tail," Raven informs.
"We have to go!" Agradd cries panicked, his wings actually coming out in front of them, but they are fluttering like crazy.
"Wait! Agradd!" Raven calls before everyone, including the manticore, was blown away by the force of the magical backlash, leaving Agradd fluttering in place where he was, but still afraid for his life.
Raven sighs. "Azarath metrion zinthos," Raven chants before a portal opened up in front of Agradd and let him come out than in front of a wall, causing him to slam face first into it.
"Ow…" Agradd groans, his wings disappearing.
"Calm yourself," Raven instructs, pulling him back up to stand beside her.
Agradd dizzyingly tries to look at her. "Ra…?"
"Agradd, unless you defeat it here and now that manticore will always hunt you down," Raven informs.
Agradd groans as he holds his head. "But…how…I don't…"
"I am here. We will face it together," Raven says holding his hand now.
Agradd quickly grabs her hand and holds it tight, not wanting to let go again. "What do we do?"
"We fight it and beat it. It's a juvenile, so it's resistance to magic is not fully developed," Raven says as Supergirl and Superman get back up.
"But…how?" Agradd asks again, worried.
"We hit it with our magic. Like you were trained," Raven instructs.
"Okay…but which one?" Agradd questions, gripping her hand tight.
"Let's go with your fire lance spell," Raven says.
Agradd nods before turning to the recovering creature. He holds up his hand at it, swirling magical fire forming in the middle of it before it shoots off a lance of fire, flying at it before it slips by, winging its arm and part of its wing.
Raven smiles as she uses her magic and grabs a pillar, breaking it and tossing it away at the manticore. The creature swiping at it, cutting through the rock pillar and breaking it apart, the pieces landing onto it and blinding it for a few seconds, giving enough time for both Superman and Supergirl to charge and punch it into a wall.
The manticore growls before leaping at Superman and slashes at him with its claw. Superman groans as he jumps back, holding the claw marks while Supergirl punches it in its side, getting it off balanced. Allowing both Raven and Agradd to fire off a magical strike of fire, singeing both forelegs. Raven then uses the tracks and makes it wrap around the creature before it breaks out before she can wrap around it tightly.
"We have to do enough to get it to slow down," Raven informs, flying off down the tracks and leaving Agradd to keep firing his fire lances, making it covers itself with its arms and trying to swipe at Supergirl and Superman, who is punching and doing what damage they can to eventually bring it down. Raven, in a little area away, uses her magic to grab some electrical lines and pull them off, sparking the ends before pulling it all back to the fight and tosses the end at the manticore. The manticore notices the wire and reaches out to grab and toss it away, but ends up grabbing the end and shocking itself, making it freeze and twitching widely, it's tail even extending and curling up repeatedly. Giving all the time needed for Agradd to power up a magical shot that he held back when it grabbed the wire and is now aiming at it, watching as Superman and Supergirl back off for a bit till Raven lands beside him and holds up her own hand to his magically held one. Agradd watches as magic seems to rush in and grows out of the fire while Raven seems to be watching how he manticore is doing. Only when it let's go does Agradd feels his arm jerk up, the fire lance flying through the air, larger and wider than before. Raven smiles proudly as the shot strikes true and hits onto its side, sending it into the wall and almost melting the wounded area against the stone.
Agradd starts to pant heavily, feeling the exhaustion of sending out too much magic at once taking its toll now. "Raven…"
"Follow my lead," Raven instructs as Knowledge pulled up a spell they had been studying.
"I'll always follow," Agradd pants, trying to look up to her.
Raven takes his hand and holds it out to the manticore with her own. "Repeat after me," Raven instructs before starting to chant a spell.
Agradd listens to her chanting before following when she gets to a repeat. Both Superman and Supergirl keeping an eye on the manticore to make sure it does not move away while they prepare to use another spell.
Soon a magical outline appeared on the manticore and around the two mages.
Both Superman and Supergirl watch as the magical outline lights up brighter than what they see. Then a magical line craves itself from the ground of the mages and to the creature, connecting both, the chanting somehow growing louder. Until the matrixes of both sides lit up brightly, blinding both of the heroes, leaving them unable to see as they hear the sound of a chain being locked and the light died down. Leaving no sight of the matrixes and only the two mages and manticore left on the wall.
"It's done. Now the manticore is your responsibility," Raven informs.
"Was that spell to…take control?" Agradd asks, turning to her.
"No, to get a familiar. If you have been studying magic like I told you too, you should know what that is," Raven says.
"A way to gain a companion that you can call upon," Agradd answers.
"That is right. Now see to your familiar," Raven instructs.
Agradd nods, walking over to the manticore as it pulls itself out of the wall, both Superman and Supergirl watching in case of trouble. "Raven?" Supergirl calls out.
"It's fine," Raven assures as the manticore walks to Agradd before taking its place by his side.
Agradd reaches out, starting to pet its side.
The manticore looked happy but made no purring noises. "Do we pursue them?" Raven asks.
"They are after me, wanting to know if I caused all this maybe," Agradd answers, still petting the creature.
"So this was all about information then," Superman says.
