Akira was resting back at Jake's place, he found that he could move a little again. As he was doing that Jake was watching the news.
"As you can see, people are acting weird. Some strange infection has taken over a portion of the city. We advise you to stay indoors and barricade your windows and doors." *Crash* Just then the infected attacked the reporters and the feed was cut.
"Damn it, what is going on?" Jake mumbled. He then looked at Akira and went over to him. "Are you doing okay kid?" He asked.
"Yeah, thanks but I should go, my team is out there." Akira then tried to get up but he was still lightheaded.
"Calm down kid, you're still recovering, look right now you need relax and let us handle it." Jake said, just then his phone rang.
"Yeah?" Jake said as he left the room.
"This is ridiculous, I have to do something." Akira said as he sat up, and pulled out his MUHU, and was about to dial Lara when the door opened, and BJ and Casandra came in.
"Guys!" Akira said as he got up in shock.
"Akira glad to see you doing well." Cassandra said as she was put down by BJ.
"Yeah, what happened to him, and who are the other two?" He asked
"Not quite sure myself, he just crashed into some kind of stand, and next I know he came out swinging like a monster." She answered. "And the other two we met when we close the portal.
"Sara and Kara" they introduced.
"They are calming that they can see the future, so they might be a little loony." Cassandra said
"Really after what we saw today you reall can't deny it." Akira said till he looked over at BJ. "You okay over there man?" he asked
"Yeah, just a little drained." He said as he sat down
"And when did you get a tattoo?" BJ looked at his arm and saw a black tattoo with runes circling his arm.
"Huh I don't know." He said as he tried to rub it off but it was till there. "Eh i'm sure it's nothing to worry about." He said
"Okay, well now that you're here, we need to discuss a plan to deal with that." Akira said pointing at the tv.
"If I can get back the Multi-Universe Protable Transprojector then maybe I can…"
"No it too dangerous out there, and for some reason excliber won't work, all I keep getting is this stupid shield." He said changing it. "And my power is limited to this." he said holding a blue marble.
"What's that?" Cass asked
"I don't know, but for some reason it's the only thing I can make are bubbles." He said making one in his hand. "Then I can make it into a marble." He said pulling out a couple. "I made these after I captured some of them." He informed me.
"Really could you let them out so I can get an idea of what we're working with.
"You sure, I don't know what this will do." Akira said
"You said you can make bubbles, why don't you use that."
"I'm not sure that might work, but if worse comes to shove I will take it out." Jake said.
"Okay." Akira then places a marble down and puts a barrier around it. But there was one problem.
"Wait, how do I undo this?" He asked as he stared at the bead, his hand then started to glow and made the bead glow as well he then extended his hand out which made the bead float, he then closed his hand and opened it releasing his prisoners, the infected leprechaun but something was different about him.
"This is the thing we have to worry about, he's just a leprechaun." Jake said
"But he was oozing with some black goop and was attacking us." Akira said
"Maybe he passed it out of the system." Akira said as he dropped the bubble.
"Oh American Dragon, i besech your help." The leprechaun said to jake, just then the door opened and causing everyone to get tense. Only for it to be Haley.
"Haley, how's it going out there?" Jake asked, just then she looked up and a black sludge came out from her mouth.
"Shit!" Jake said as he grabbed his daughter, Haley jumped, at Akira and held out his arm and expanded his shield, she turned her attention to the leprechaun and attacked him re-infecting it, Akira tried to create a bubble, but he was caught off guard as Hailey and the leprechaun tried to jump him, but Jake pulled him away with his tail, he then grabbed the others and headed outside. Upon looking down he saw more of the infected in the neighborhood, he then placed everyone down on a nearby roof.
"This is getting out of hand, we need to find the source of this." Akria said as he looked at his arm. "but what can I do with a shield?" He asked
"Kid, you have bigger things to worry about, what about the rest of your friends?" He asked
"Oh crap!" Akira then pulled out his MUHU and called Rose.
"Oh Akira, I was wondering when you were going to call." She said
"Rose, are you okay at the pod, right?" He asked
"Well…" Rose then looked at the bodies around her. "I've been kept busy." She said
"What about the pod?" He asked
"It's okay, but I think you should head to time square, I'm feeling a very sinister presresions there." She said
"Time Square, huh you got it." He said as they hung up. She sighed as she got back in the pod and closed it. "I know he can handle himself, but i really want to help." She said as she reclined she then looked at her hand and inspected it. "He expected to control me with this sludge." She said as she burned it in her hand.
"I hope your smart about this Zero, that shield of yours is very powerful." She thought as Akira, BJ, and Jake flew huge black egg was waiting surrounded by infected.
