Almost all of new york was controlled by this black ooze, almost nothing stood in its way, that is for two boys and a dragon.

"You know, if your idea doesn't work were all doomed right?" Jake asked

"Don't worry, if the worse were to happened then I know you'll do what you have to." Akira said

"Let's hope that it doesn't come to that." Jake insisted as he transformed.

"So here's my plan, there are like a bunch of them, and only a few of us, so I figured we just punch out way through." Bj said

"Yeah except there is oh I don't know and shitton of infected people!" Akira added

"At least I had a plan!" BJ said with a huff

"Well how about this, we find the source?" Jake stated, getting the boy's attention. "This infection had to have a source, so what if we find it and takedown from there." The young heroes then looked at each other which did sound like a good idea.

"Well, where should we start?" Akira asked

"Maybe, that giant black ball at time sqaure." Jake said pointing at the said ball.

"Wow, how did we miss that?" BJ asked, Jake then transformed and picked up the boys and flew to it.

-Meanwhile-

Cassandra was making her way back to MUPT, being careful not to attract attention, but as she got close she could see bodies of creatures, she then saw Rose relaxing.

"Uh excuse me, you mind telling me what's going on?" She asked

"They attaked me, so I defend myself." Rose insisted as she jumped down and grabbed her bloody scythe.

"Rose, these guys were only infected they could've been saved."

"Well I didn't know that, I had to defend myself." Rose

"But you can't just…" Just then Cassandra saw the bloody weapon in front of her face.

"I… was… defending myself, got it!" She gritted her teeth forcing a smile.

"L-Look, we need to get moving." Cassandra said trying to say calm.

"Oh what do we need to do?" She asked

"First we need to move our way home." Cassandra said as she go in, Rose then puts away her scythe and hops in, the ball soon started moving and headed back towards the battlefield

-Meanwhile-

Akira while riding on Jake's back, was flying closer to ground zero the egg, while it was awesome that he was riding a dragon, he had to focus on the mission at hand.

"So kid do you have a plan or are going guns blazing?" He asked

"As awesome as that sounds, let's avoid collateral, i'm thinking that we… LOOK OUT!" Akira yelled as Jake barrel-rolled ot of the way as a tendril shot at them, trying to catch them. "It seems it won't let us get close, well then will have to stay distant." He grabbed Excalibur and took a deep breath and focused. "All right I don't need a shield, please give me something to hit that thing!" He thought as he held it out as it started to shine, when the light died down it reveals a recurve bow.

"Yes, Artemis!" He said as he drew the string back, an arrow materialized and he launched it, but as it hit it didn't do anything. "Aw come on! Just regular arrows!" He groaned as he started firing more arrows as Jake blew fire against the slime arms.

"Not to sound negative but you got something else?" He asked, Akira thought about it.

"Alright, I think I have a plan, on my mark shoot your fire." He suggested. He then pulled his string and fired an arrow. "Now!" He said as Jake lit the arrow on fire as it hit the egg it started to burn. The two repeated the action several times as saw they were dealing it some damage, Jake landed on a nearby rooftop.

"Alright now what?" Jake asked, Akira then looked at the egg, he need to come up with a better plan, than just shooting it.

"Well, i'm open to suggestion!" He panics. Just then the young hero noticed something, the egg was getting bigger. Akira looked down and saw the infected walking into it adding to its mass.

"Shit! It's using them to make itself bigger!" Akira said as he started to panic. "Come on hero calm down, think of something, anything!" He said gripping his head trying to come up with something, but the fear was getting to him. He couldn't think straight, was he going to lose? Just then Jake grabbed his shoulder and shook him.

"KID wake up!" Akira came back to his sense and looked at the adult. "Look i know it's scary but you can't be freaking out okay, just breath." Jake said, Akira then took deep breaths trying to clear his mind, as he did Excaliber started to glow and change, in his shield, Akira then opened his eyes and looked at the defensive weapon.

"I know what to do, but I need your help." He said

"Sure think what is it?" Jake said

"I think I can take it down, but I need to get inside." Akira said

"Inside what?" Akira then pointed at the egg.

"That!"

"I'm sorry you want to go in that thing?" Akira had a nervous expression

"Look it's not the most ideal plan, but I think I can take it down if I'm on the inside of, besides we don't have a lot of options right now, so will you help me?" He asked in a pleading tone. Jake sighed

"If this fails it's not my fault." Jake then transformed and picked up the boy and flew towards their target.

"Throw me!" Jake then threw the child into the giant ball of black slime, as he did his eyes started to glow, he pointed his shield out and he was sent in.
