Protectors of the Realm
in The Parasitic Emerald
In Power City, the Young Royals need to find a get rich scheme to hire bounty hunters.
"This is getting hopeless, guys," said John. "There's no way to get enough gold to give them to any bounty hunter," he said.
"Well, there is our treasury," Marcus exclaimed.
"No, if we do then we'll be broke," William replied.
"What about those, Realm Protectors," he suggested.
"What about them?" Gawayne questioned.
"Because those brainiacs sometimes invent things that would be worth a lot of gold which we would like to keep, for ourselves," said John.
"Yeah, let's go there," said Steven. So they headed to the Protectors' castle.
The royals went inside and noticed that the Realm Protectors are not there. So with no garage band around, they can swipe something that's worth something.
"Hey guys, check it out." Zachary pointed. And what they saw are candy, and beside it is a foz...with spots.
"They made candy," said William in amazement.
"And what's with the foz?" asked Gawayne.
"They must've found a rare one, and kept it as a pet," John suggested.
Meanwhile, in the Mysticons' Stronghold, the Realm Protectors are doing some research on one of the rarest emeralds in the Realm.
"Hey guys," Mike called, and his friends came. "I found the emeralds that Dillon was talking about," he said.
"Well, what are they?" Tom asked.
"They're called the Emeraldites," he answered.
"What are the Emeraldites," Zeke questioned.
"The Emeraldites, are parasitic emeralds that only the most powerful sorcerors can control. But, not other people. Once someone takes possession of it, the Emeraldites corrupts the user and twists it into something horrible." Mike read.
And hearing that causes the Realm Protectors to shiver in fear.
"Well, uh is there a cure to remove it?" Dillon exclaimed.
"Yeah, check it out," he pointed to another page. The others looked at the page in surprise.
"Well, how do you, like that," said Tom.
Suddenly, the palace's alarm went off, and a glyph appeared.
"The Dragon Patrol are at Drake City!" Dillon alerted.
"Come on guys, let's go!" said Mike. "By the Power of the Codex..."
Protectors Knight.
Protector Guardian.
Protector Acrobat.
Protector Tracker.
Protector Illusionist.
In Drake City, the Dragon Patrol are fighting the Mysticons.
Phillip breathed fire, but Emerald activated her armor and blocked it, and tried to fight him.
Next Arkayna blasted at Angus and Claude, but they dodged it. Then Piper threw her hoops at them, but Claude deflected them, and Kevin conjured some vines.
But the Protectors appeared and chopped down the vines.
"Not the Protectors," said Angus in annoyance.
Then Claude charged to strike them down with his claws, but Zeke and Dillon blocked them.
Then Sienna spin around and created tornadoes, and they covered the Dragon Patrol, leaving them unable, to see.
"Now Mike!" Sienna yelled.
And Mike threw his sword and it floated in front of him and punched it. And the sword began striking down the Dragon Patrol.
Once the tornadoes vanished, they groaned in pain, then they flew away.
"What happened, guys?" asked Mike in concern.
"They were robbing a jewelry store," Arkayna answered.
"What did they steal," Sienna spoke.
"Zero, jewels!" Piper answered.
"Well it's a good thing they didn't steal anything, valuable," said Zeke, and they reverted back to their civilian forms, and they walked away.
But what they didn't know, is that an Emeraldite has attached itself behind Piper's neck.
Later, back at Power City. The Young Royals are selling the candy like wildflower.
"Get your Royal Treats here, the tastiest candy in all of Gemina!" John hollered.
As the citizens took the candy and ate it, the people were amazed.
"This stuff is delicious."
"It's so good,"
Everyone bought the candy, and the gold is piling up.
"I can't believe it guy," said Steven. "We're making a fortune out of this candy," he said.
"Yeah, and those Realm Protectors should stick to writing songs," said Zachary, as the others nodded in agreement.
But at King Brax's castle, the Dragon Patrol came in as Brax sat in his throne.
"Did you do as I ordered too," said King Brax.
"Yes," Phillip spoked. "We found an Emeradite and placed it on Mysticon Striker, while we were fighting them," he answered.
"Excellent," said Brax. "Once the Emeraldite has taken control of Striker, she will be my servant." he laughed.
Meanwhile, in the Undercity, the Realm Protectors and the Mysticons are enjoying some snork balls made by Schnechtacus.
"Those things are really good," said Sienna.
"Yeah, I wish we can make different ones," said Tom as he took a bite. That's when Mike noticed a purple glove on Piper's left hand.
"Piper, where did you get that glove?" asked Mike.
"I don't have a glove," Piper answered, but she gasped in shock as she noticed it. Then Zeke spotted the Emeraldite on her neck.
"It's an Emeraldite!" Zeke yelled, which shocks the heroes.
Then suddenly, Piper transformed into Mysticon Striker. But her appearance is different, her tank top is black, her gloves and mask are purple, and she now has fangs.
Piper roared and she jumped away to begin her rampage.
"What happened to Piper?" Arkayna questioned.
"The Emeraldite is corrupting her, and that's why Brax wants them," said Mike.
"Then we gotta help her," said Arkayna.
"Let's go girls. It's magic hour!" said Arkayna.
"We'll be right with you," said Mike, as he and the others went into an alley.
"Mysticons!" the girls placed their symbols on their belts, and they changed.
"Protectors!" the Realm Protectors placed their symbols on their chests, and they changed.
Piper is attacking the Undercity with her hoops, like a rampaging gargoyle. But was stopped by Zarya who grabbed her.
"Piper stop!" Zarya yelled. "It's me Zarya, don't you remember," she said. But instead, Piper just kicked her and struck her with her hoops.
Then Zeke came, and Piper threw her hoops at him too. But he dodged them and created a net to catch her.
But Piper avoided the next and began fighting Zeke, but he just blocked her attacks.
"Piper! We're your friends, so stop!" said Zeke.
Then Sienna appeared behind her and tied her up with a rope.
"Come on, let's get her back to the palace," said Mike.
Later, the heroes made it to the Royal Palace to help Piper.
"Don't worry Piper, we'll figure this out!" said Arkayna.
"Do you think something from the books can help her," Emerald questioned.
"Yeah," Mike spoked. "We checked out a page of a book. It says that the Emeraldites can be removed, by a tune it likes. And we wrote one up yesterday, we'll be right back." he said, and the Realm Protectors left.
A while later, the Realm Protectors came back, carrying different instruments.
Then Mike began t shake the maracas, and tapped his foot. Then they began to play.
Mike: Piper, Piper, Piper dancing with a Striker. It's getting loco, very you're losing it, it's like a creeper.
Mike shook the maracas as Tom hits the drums and Dillon plays the double bass.
Sienna: We have to stop the jewel bow.
Tom: Her mind's becoming mush yo.
Dillon: She's gotta stop there's no doubt.
Sienna: And we're all going to help out.
Zeke played the guitar, as Sienna swayed her hips. And the Mysticons started to enjoy it, including the Emeraldite.
Mike: While the music's playing keep your hips a-swaying. If you've got an Emeraldite get ready to lob it.
And because of it, Piper started to dance.
Realm Protectors: That's it, Piper, bounce high higher than the sky, high. Now let's let the jewel fly. One, two, three, ole.
That did it, the Emeraldite jumped off of Piper and she changed back to normal.
And the Emeraldite began to dance from that song, and Mike captured it.
"Got it!" Mike said.
"Thanks, guys, you're a lifesaver," Piper exclaimed.
"Hey, it's all in a Protector job," Zeke replied.
"And now I can finally eat this, candy," she said as she took the candy out. And Mike saw the candy in shock, just as Piper was about to eat it, Mike grabbed her hand. "Hey!"
"I wouldn't eat that if I were you," Mike told her.
Later, in Power City, the Young Royals are counting the gold, when Steven spotted something.
"Hey guys, more customers," said Steven.
But once the customers came, they looked angry and somehow, have spots on their faces.
"What's going on," questioned John.
"Your stupid candy gave me spots," said Mathis in anger, and the rest of the people angrily agreed.
"Spots!" Marcus said in shock. "Well uh, how did that happen?" he said in fear.
"Aha!" then the Young Royals spotted the Realm Protectors, who looked absolutely furious. "So you're the ones who stole our ingredients!" Mike yelled.
"Yeah. They're the ones who made the ingredients, we're just selling them!" said Zachary, hoping that the Realm Protectors would take the blame.
"Don't you guys realized that this is, a failed experiment," he said, much to the Young Royals surprise.
"Failed experiment?" John said.
"Yeah, we put too many spot berries in the candy," Zeke added.
"What about the foz?" asked William.
"We were using it as a test subject," said Sienna, as she showed everyone the foz, where it no longer has spots. "We just want to see if the effects wear off," she said.
"How long do they, wear off?" Gawayne asked.
"Two weeks," Mike answered.
At the Protectors' castle, they've got the failed candy back, while the Young Royals gave everyone their refunds, much to their despair.
"Back to the drawing board," said Mike, as he wrote down equations. "Alright guys, we need a new recipe for the candy. What'll we need?" he said.
"How about we try an ingredient, that's irresistibly delicious. That everyone will only buy our candy and left the other candy factories out of business." Zeke suggested.
Then the Realm Protectors started to think it over, and they answered...
"Nah!" they said.
"Then we all be out of ingredients," said Mike, and they continued to come up with a new ingredient for their candy.
