Protectors of the Realm
in Scorching Fight
In the Power City Tech Convention, the city is hosting its annual science fair, where the Protectors and Bobby are participating. And for a surprise reason, John is participating, while Arkayna is judging.
"Alright, what's your invention Mike?" Arkayna asked Mike.
"Well Arkayna, music and singing are controlled by sound waves and air molecules." Mike explained. "So if a rock star wants to perform, he has to impress the crowd, which is why I developed this." he said, and he plugged his guitar to a makeshift amp and played a solo. Then a laser lightshow came out of the amp, which amazes everyone.
"Wow, a new way to rock out." Arkayna said impressed. Then she walked towards Zeke with a large tablet.
"My device can scan any type of bacteria from any organic lifeform such as trees, mold, and dirt to see if any of the bacteria's are deadly or not." explained Zeke, and Arkayna walked towards Tom with a metal basket hooked to a laptop.
"My rock scanner can detect different kinds of rock and the origin of their last form." Tom explained, then she walked towards Dillon wearing some goggles.
"My scanner goggled can detect any type of amphibian creature in the ocean or in the marsh." Dillon explained, then she walked toward Sienna with some kind of weather machine.
"My machine can magnetically pull or push different kind of storms, when either city or town is in jeopardy." Sienna explained, then Arkayna walked toward Bobby with a device.
"My weather radar can warn us if there is any weather problems." Bobby explained, then finally, Arkayna walked toward John with a makeshift lamp. But what she didn't know, is that the science fair is rigged.
At the backstage, the others are replacing the votes for the competitors to John's.
"Uh, why are we doing this again?" Gawayne asked unsurely.
"Because, we invented the best machines that can be a benefit for the Realm, but those Realm Protectors always win every year. But this year, we're gonna win." explained Marcus.
"So, you're gonna cheat to win." he said.
"Yeah, nobody wins by being honest." Steven replied.
"My ultraviolet tanning lamp, will give everyone a great tan, and you don't have to wait in line to get it." John explained.
"Oh my goblin! Who new science can be so fabtacular!" said Piper.
"Yeah." Zarya agreed. "Hey, what are you guys good at anyway." she asked the Protectors.
"Laser physics." said Mike.
"Bacteriology." said Zeke.
"Geology." said Tom.
"Herpetology." said Dillon.
"Meteorology." said Sienna.
"Whoa," Zarya exclaimed in amazement.
"Hey I got a question, how did you guys go from scientists to rock stars?" Emerald asked.
"Well," Mike spoke. "It all started before you girls met each other." he started to explained.
Flashback:
A few years ago, the Realm Protectors were just ordinary kids doing their science on music.
Mike tuned his guitar and started strumming the string, suddenly he heard a drum, he turned and spotted Tom playing on his drums. Then Mike started to play his guitar more, then Tom began playing his drums through Mike's rhythm.
And this got the other Protectors' attention, so they join in and the new music got the people's attention.
Flashback end:
"And that's how we became a band." Mike finished explaining.
"All right everyone, the votes are in." said Arkayna, and the Protectors are getting excited. "And the winner of the science fair is... John Nightingale. Wait, what?" she said, and this shocked the Protectors, those rich snobs couldn't win, could they? Everyone applauded at John.
"Thank you everyone, and as a thank you for voting me. I will give Drake City a gorgeous tan at noon." said John, and he left the stage.
"I don't get it guys? Those guys didn't win the science fair for years, how could they finally won?" questioned Tom.
"I don't know, but something's off." said Mike as he's trying to figure it out.
That afternoon in Drake Coty, John is gonna promise everyone a tan. But first, he's doing a speech.
"I want to thank my friends for helping me invent this marvelous machine, it was a long shot but we actually made it happen." said John, and he took out the remote. "And now everyone, here is your tan!" he said and he pressed the button.
Then the machine became active and it started to fly up to the sky, and its reflective mirror began to open. But the machine started to malfunction, and it turned upside down and it exploded. Instead of giving everyone a tan, it created an extremely high temperature during summer seasons.
"What was that!?" yelled Mike in surprise. But the other Protectors were started to get hot.
"Hey guys, I'm starting to feel hot, are you?" Dillon said as he started to sweat.
"Yeah, I'm starting to feel it too." Mike said to Dillon.
Then suddenly, the plants and trees started to shrivel from the heat and the water, including water bottles turned steam. John began to panic as everyone began to glare at the Young Royals for the shriveled plants.
"Those guys dried all the water up, we'll die of thirst!" said Mathis as he sweated.
"Bobby, what happened?" Mike asked Bobby in worry. Then Bobby took out his weather radar and pressed a few button, and once he finished he gasp in shock.
"It looks like that machine those guys created, malfunctioned created a severe drought." Bobby explained. Then Schnechtacus grabbed John by the collar of his shirt and glared at him.
"Well, it may caused this. But, at least you got a tan." John nervously said.
"Well, we better hurry. Because if we don't find a way to figure this out in the next twelve hours then, the drought will spread through out the realm." Bobby said as he checked his radar. Then everyone started to gang up on the Young Royals for causing this mess.
"Can we talk this out, the tan is free." John said as Mathis walked toward John as he pounded his fist in anger. Then the Protectors cringed as the people are beating the Young Royals up.
Meanwhile at King Brax's castle, King Brax is feeling the heat in his skin, which is interesting for him.
"Phillip!" King Brax called, and Phillip and the rest of the Dragon Patrol came. "I've sense something, interesting in the sky." he said.
"Oh, you mean the weather." spoked Claude. "A high rise in temperature began to spread across the Realm." he explained to King Brax.
"Ah, I see. So without any rain, the people will have no other choice but to come to me to survive." Brax chuckled. "You make sure the drought continues." he ordered, and the Dragon Patrol took off.
Later at the Royal Palace, Butler is tending to the Young Royals wounds after they've got beaten up by the people.
"Blame the drought on us, it's like none any of them ever dried up the city's atmosphere!" John groaned.
But what they didn't know is that the Protectors were on the roof with Sienna's weather machine.
"So any progress on that machine?" Mike asked Sienna who is pressing a few buttons on her machine.
"Not yet, it's still analyzing the vaper of the atmosphere." Sienna explained. But then, the Dragon Patrol flew down to attack, but the Protectors dodged their attacks.
"What's wrong with having a little heat in the Realm?" Phillip smirked, and he charged to attack. But Mike took out his sword and they began to clash weapons, as Mike swing his sword, Phillip blocked it and he punched him in the face.
Dillon and Angus fought each other with hand to hand combat and they kept blocking each other's punches and kicks, but Robert struck him in the back of the head which gave Angus the upper hand and he kicked him down to the ground. Claude grabbed Zeke and he began to spin him around, until he threw him at Sienna which makes them fall down after they've made contact with each other.
"Want me to destroy the machine Phillip?" Kevin asked.
"No," Phillip declined. "The Protectors are in it for a big surprise." he smirked as he checked at the machine's data, and they flew away.
At the Protectors' castle, the Protectors don't know what to do to stop the drought.
"So you think there's no moisture in the atmosphere anymore?" asked Mike.
"Yeah, I've checked the machine, and it says I can't make rain without clouds. The machine doesn't lie." said Sienna.
"Yeah," Dillon agreed. "there has to be some other way to make rain." he said.
"Exactly, and that type would be alchemy." said Zeke, but the Mysticons were confused.
"What's alchemy?" asked Piper.
"It's a combination of science and sorcery, many of the Realm's greatest minds use different types of alchemy. They even try to find a way to make gold." Mike explained.
"Yeah. But too bad counterfeiting gold is illegal in Power City." Dillon spoke.
"That's it," Sienna said as she has an idea, then she opened her glyph. "If we're gonna make rain, we're gonna need ingredients, including a watermelon." she said.
"A watermelon?" the Mysticons questioned.
"Don't worry guys, Sienna knows what she's doing." Mike smiled at Sienna.
The Protectors gathered every key ingredient to make rain from every forest in the Realm, but first they have to fight monsters in order to get the ingredients. After they've obtain the ingredient, Sienna redesign her invention and she even added one drop of potion into the watermelon.
"OK, I think we're done." said Sienna.
At the sky, the Mysticons' dragons carried the machine up in their and Sienna started to activate it.
"Alright, it's all set, you have to throw it when the machine starts to detonate." Sienna told the Mysticons, which shocks them.
"Wait. You turned the machine, into a bomb!" yelled Emerald in shock.
"Hey, I set it up for one minute." Sienna said to Emerald.
But then the Dragon Patrol came flying by and attack the Protectors and the Mysticons,
"You're not detonating anything!" yelled Phillip and he rammed Mike off his hoverbike. But Dillon conjured up a lasso and caught him by the leg.
Then the Protectors began to fight the Dragon Patrol, so they have to do everything they can to defend the Mysticons.
"OK, this is getting ridiculous!" Zarya growled and she fired an arrow at Angus.
"Let's go girls. It's Magic Hour!" Arkayna said, and the Mysticons jumped off of their dragons and landed on the Protectors' hoverbikes and they joined the fight.
Emerald conjured her shield and deflected the blasts and both Zeke and Emerald struck Kevin a few times until he fell down. And Piper threw her hoops, and Sienna and Tom gave the hoops a flaming spike appearance and the hoops hit Robert and Claude.
Then Arkayna and Zarya combined their attacks with Mike and Sienna, which struck Phillip. But Phillip kept flying.
"Come on, guys! Get them!" Phillip yelled to the others. But surprisingly, they started to lose their breaths.
"It's too hot, Phillip." said Angus as he and the other Dragon Patrol are panting from the heat, which made Phillip growled in anger. And so he flew up to destroy the machine.
But Mike saw him and he fired a ray which struck Phillip and he crashed to the machine, and that's where the machine has three seconds left.
"OK, drop it!" Mike yelled, and the dragons dropped the machine, and once it reaches zero, it exploded which sends the Dragon Patrol flying away.
And then, the explosion started to make storm clouds, thunder can be heard, lighting can be seen, and it started to rain. Everyone cheered that the rain began to fall.
"You did it guys," said Arkayna. "you've saved the Realm." she smiled.
"Aw yes, rain! Give me rain!" Dillon said in joy.
"Hey, Bobby." Mike called. "How long does the rain last?" he asked.
"I'd say the next twelve hours." Bobby smiled.
"I can get used to it." Mike smiled.
