Protectors of the Realm
in Free Magnus
At the Protectors' castle, the Protectors are calculating the rate on freeing Magnus from his crystalized prison.
"So, what are the results?" asked Emerald.
"The probability of freeing Magnus is, 99.8 percent." Mike answered Emerald's question.
"Really." spoked Zarya. "I thought it would be a piece of cake." she said.
"It's not a piece of cake, this is focused science." Mike started to explain. "That crystal is made from the same material like the ones at the archipelago. And besides, we've made sure to check our data, it shows that we need the Astromancers permission and those spell books that we have." he said.
"Come on, can't you find even more spell books that can do that?" Piper whined. Then Sienna thought of something.
"Why didn't I think of it sooner." said Sienna. "I have one of those books at my family farm, they must be at the shed." she said.
Everyone went to Sienna's farm and the animal inhabitants are, war beasts. That's right, big white furry hooved horned hippos, war beasts.
"I can't believe it, knew there are warbeasts in Power City." Mike said in excitement. "These are noble beasts my friends, proud, majestic," that's what Mike thinks, until...

"Oh, come on!" Mike yelled in disgust as he waved his arms, as the others cringed in disgust.
"Get used to it guys, warbeasts do that." Sienna said with normal smile on her face.
"I don't see why we're in the farm." Dillon spoke.
"We needed more power to free Magnus, so those spell books I have when I was a kid could still be in the shed." Sienna explained to Dillon.

"By the Star!" Mike groaned. "Come on," he complained.
Then Zeke took out some perfume and sprayed it all over the area.
"Is that my perfume?" Arkayna glanced at Zeke.
"Maybe..." Zeke falsely lied.
"Anyway, if I have enough spell books, then we can the advantage." Sienna smiled.
"That's actually a good idea," Mike said to Sienna. "now all we have to do is..."
pppppppppppppbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbbttttttttttttttttttttt But because of that, Mike groaned in absolute disgust.
"What is with these warbeasts?!" Mike yelled in complaint.
"That one was me." Zeke blushed.
Meanwhile at Brax's castle, where Brax is giving the Dragon Patrol the scolding of their lives.
"I'm surrounded by imbeciles." said Brax. "Searching those Emeraldites was supposed to take two weeks. Do you know how long it's been?" he said to the Dragon Patrol. Just as one of them was about to answer.
"Two months!" Brax finished angrily as he slammed his fist onto his throne.
"We are doing our best your majesty. But these Emeraldites are hard to find." said Tetrax.
"Well, if all of you have a perfect solution. Speak!" Brax demanded. Then Angus has a solution.
"I know," Angus spoke. "the Protectors are gathering spell books all over Power City, and I bet they're gonna use them to track down the Emeraldites." he suggested, they Brax gave it a thought, and then he nodded.
"Very well, search the Protectors and bring me those books." ordered Brax, and the others left.
Later at the Astromancer Academy, the Protectors and Mysticons have finished explaining their solution to freeing Magnus.
"And you're sure that we can free Magnus?" Proxima asked Mike.
"Exactly. With your help, Magnus can resume his duty as an astromancer." said Mike.
"Hmph! But how should we trust you, afterall you did freed King Brax." said Gandobi.
"Come on, try to help the Realm for once, huh." said Tom.
Proxima started to think for a moment, with the Protectors did have a solution to free Magnus. On the other hand, they did release the twin brother of Queen Necrafa which made them into outlaws for that. So with no other choice...
"Alright. We'll help you." Proxima answered, which made the Protectors and the Mysticons smile.
The Astromancers have brought in Magnus, who is still in the crystal. Sienna was checking the data, while Zeke was scanning the crystal. And now Mike, Arkayna, and Mike are ready for the spell.
"Great powers of the great sage. We hereby beg you to release this mage." the three chanted the spell and the blasted at the crystal.
The crystal began to shine brighter as the three struggled to keep the spell intact, just as Dillon checked the output and to his shock, the spell isn't getting enough power.
"Guys!" Dillon called. "We're losing power, we need to keep it up!" he said.
"Come on, give it all you got." said Mike, and the three started to increase the power. They're starting to feel weak, but they have to keep trying so they can free the trapped astromancer.
But suddenly, Tetrax and the Dragon Patrol burst through with the Shadow Troopers, which made the three stop the spell. The three started to fight, but their magic is weakened by the spell, and then the Shadow Troopers appeared behind them and they grabbed the three much to everyone's shock.
"Surrender or your friends will be history." Tetrax threatened. So everyone surrendered.
Later, the Shadow Troopers are gathering spells from the academy and the spell books from the Protectors, while everyone was trapped in a dome.
"I knew it, you Protectors are nothing but trouble!" Proxima glared at the Protectors, which they glared back at Proxima.
"What?!" Mike yelled in rage. "You were the ones who always slack off when there's danger." he said.
"Well if I thought that those royals would be the Protectors, they can defeat Brax!" she said.
"Come on! They can't even fight one Shadow Trooper!" said Tom.
Everyone kept arguing with each other, which starts to annoy Arkayna. The argument was getting louder and louder, until finally she had enough.
"Enough!" Arkayna shouted from the top of her lungs, which got everyone's attention. "This is getting us nowhere. Tetrax and those Dragon Creeps are stealing the books and what are you doing? Accusing each other over nothing." she scolded to both Mike and Proxima.
"Now. If we're gonna stop them, we have to figure a way out of here." Then Tom got an idea.
"I have an idea," said Tom as he took out a device that looks like a disc. "I've been working on an energy disruptor, it should deactivate the dome." he explained and he set the device down and pressed the button.
When the device became activated it absorbed the dome's energy, and then the dome deactivated which freed everyone.
"Let's go guys. It's magic hour!" said Arkyayna. Then the Protectors and the Mysticons charged into battle.
They began to fight the Shadow Troopers with everything they got, they simply just avoided the Shadow Troopers attacks.
"Time to Howl!" Zarya fired her bracer while Tom double slashed beams which struck a few Shadow Troopers. Then Sienna and Piper are fighting Zachery, since he's having trouble knocking them down. And Piper side kicked his legs and Sienna struck him with her sword which send Zachary to a wall.
"Looks like you're getting powerful. But get a load of me." said Angus as he help a spell book that he opened, and he conjured up giant flytraps from the ground and they began to attack them. But Tom and Emerald sliced off the two plants, but more kept coming up. But Dillon and Zeke started to blast the giant plants.
"Looks like we know that the books are powerful." said Dillon. Then Phillip began to blast fire, but Emerald deflected the blast with her shield and slashed a ray, but Phillip just blocked it.
"Face it. Without the books you're nothing." Phillip grinned. And suddenly, the room started to grow bright. They turned and spotted the crystal growing brighter, and then with a power blast. It launched Tetrax and the Dragon Patrol out of the academy, while the Shadow Troopers disintegrate.
"What happened?" Dillon asked in confusion and so did the others, and Zeke checked the crystal powers from his tablet.
"Great gears, guys! The surrounding magic from Tetrax and the Dragons gave the spell enough power." explained Zeke
"Don't tell me that fight powered up the spell?" Tom spoke.
"Well what are we waiting for, let's finish it." said Mike.
Then the three continue to perform the spell, and with enough power the crystal began to disintegrate. And once the crystal vanished, Magnus collapsed. They checked to see if he's alright, and then, Magnus groaned and opened his eyes and saw everyone.
"What happened?" Magnus asked.
"You fought us in a battle to turn us in, but because of that, your magic became unstable and you were trapped in a crystal." Mike explained it to Magnus, and Proxima gasped in shock as she covered her mouth.
"Magnus, your hands." Proxima said softly. Magnus looked down and to his shock, his hands are fully healed and are no longer disfigured.
"My hands there, there normal." spoked Magnus.
"Yeah, and you can do magic now that your hands are healed." Arkayna smiled.
"No." Magnus said to Arkayna, which confuses everyone. "Because of me and my arrogance, I almost destroyed Drake City and hurt everybody. So, I'm no longer fit to be an astromancer." he explained to everyone is despair. Magnus would give up being an astromancer to protect everyone, his friends, and himself.
"I don't think so." spoked Mike, which got Magnus' attention. "So you've lost control, big deal. We've made some big mistakes but we kept doing good for the Realm, so you should do to." he said to Magnus, then his once depressed face became a face of determination.
"I will." Magnus nodded. Which everyone smiled.
"Yeah, I mean we've a lost a few books. But we've still got a few of them." said Dillon.
Later at Brax's castle, Tetrax and the Dragon Patrol have gave him some of the spell books that they've stolen.
"So, this is all you have?" said Brax.
"Yes." spoked Phillip. "Forgive us, we were defeated by Magnus the trapped astromancer. But we have discovered that those books can increase our magic, and if we can get the other books you won't need the Emeraldites anymore." he explained.
"So I won't need the Emeraldites if I have those books?" said Brax and he began to laugh, and so did the others. "Fools!" he yelled in fury.
And he began to blast at them, he kept blasting but they avoided them and then they took cover to avoid anymore blasts, and they escaped.
"Don't they realize that I need the Emeraldites to to create a powerful army." Brax growled in anger.
