Protectors of the Realm
in Fight of the Sky Lancer
At the sky joust arena, we see jousters entering the arena and are mounting onto their griffins, and then they began to play the game. Suddenly, rapping music was heard, and then Zeke and Dillon appeared on top of the platform, where they bumped into each others.
Zeke and Dillon: Sky joust!
And then Mike appeared.
Mike: That's the name of the game, Griffins starts to fly and the Lancers in play.
Zeke and Dillon bumped into each other again.
Zeke and Dillon: Joust it,
The sky lancers avoided each others lancers, and they even try to find an opening to their advantage.
Mike: hustle that lance.
They're lean, they're mean, griffins as big as a rock.
Then Zeke and Dillon pounded chest bumped each other.
Zeke and Dillon: Lance it,
Then Mike appeared again.
Mike: You gotta lance that sucka straight.
Then the sky lancers began to charge at each other.
Mike: Pick it up, drag it back, slam it in it's home. Time to show the lancers that they just got owned!
Then once lancer struck the other which causes him to fall down off his griffin and landed onto the safety net.
As it turns out, the Protectors are watching their own music video on the glyph, then Serena appeared.
"An amazing performance by the Realm Protectors, with their newest hit song, Sky Joust. By honoring the Sky Lancers." said Serena.
"We've done it again, guys." said Mike in a relaxed voice.
"Yeah, that was off the griffin." said Tom.
"Sky joust." spoked Sienna. "It's been a long time since I came to the arena." she explained.
"When you were a little dryad?" Mike said to Sienna.
"Yeah. I mean it's cool y'know." she said to Mike.
"I know. And besides, you were cute in that picture." he said, which made Sienna blush as the comment.
Something's been bothering me." Zeke spoke. Which got the Protectors attention.
"What do you mean Zeke?" asked Mike.
"The alarm hasn't gone off for weeks now, and Brax didn't send his goons to attack." he explained.
"Is it good?" asked Dillon.
"No. I think he might be on to something."
Meanwhile at the Royal Palace, the Young Royals are relaxing at the pool, unfortunately one of them wasn't relaxed as well. With all the bounty hunters they've hired and all of the plans to come up with, they didn't capture the Protectors, which infuriated John.
"This is getting ridiculous. We couldn't capture the Protectors and no matter how many bounty hunters we've hired, they end up failing!" said John in anger.
"Take it easy John, there are a lot of bounty hunters all over the Realm." said William as he took a drink.
"And besides, it's not like we have a tournament to capture them." said Steven. And because of what he said, John got an idea.
"That's actually a good idea." said John, which got the other's attention. "Tomorrow, we're gonna have a Sky Lance tournament, where the sky lancer will be named champion for defeating the Protectors!" he yelled with a smile.
The next morning, The Protectors are training by deflected the shots from the drones, while Bobby is watching the glyph.
"Now this is what I call training." Dillon smirk.
"Yeah, we know. It's just like a video game." said Tom.
"Hey guys!" Bobby called, which captured the Protectors attention. "You better check this out." said Bobby, and the Protectors came just as Bobby turned up the volume.
"John Nightingale, is it true that you're hosting a sky lancer tournament?" asked Serena.
"That's right Serena. The last tournament where the Protectors fought that crazy Astromancer Magnus, it inspired me to create a new tournament in the sky lancer arena." John explained.
"A sky lancer tournament?" Zeke questioned.
"And I'm sure the Protectors won't ignore a tournament, and that's why I introduce the Realm the ex-sky lancer. Benjamin Wing!" John said.
Then this Benjamin Wing appeared, he has blond hair with a beard and wears sky lancer armor.
"Do you think this could be a trap?" asked Tom.
You know them. They never cheat in a tournament." Mike explained.
Later at the sky joust arena, the bleachers are being stacked by everyone who are eager to see the match. Them the Protectors entered the arena on their griffins as the people cheered for them.
"I can't believe they're cheering us on." said Dillon with a smile.
"Yeah. It's kinda cool actually." said Sienna in agreement.
But the Young Royals were annoyed that the people are cheering for the Protectors, they should be cheering for them.
"I can't believe it. I can't believe that they're cheering for those outlaws." said Marcus in anger.
"Yeah, are they blind." Gawayne rudely agreed. "They just freed Brax and ruined our time off." he said.
"Mr. Nightingale are you sure that Benjamin Wing can beat the Protectors?" Serena asked.
"Of course I'm sure. You should've watched his old matches, he was a legend." said John, as Benjamin entered the arena on his griffin.
"Hey Bobby." Mike contacted. "Do you think Benjamin is a bounty hunter?" he asked.
"Let me check." said Bobby as he began searching on his glyph, until he found information about Benjamin. "There he is. Benjamin Wing was a professional Sky Lancer, until he became a bounty hunter. But why would I Sky Lancer become a bounty hunter?" Bobby asked in confusion. But there wasn't time for answer, because the match was about to begin.
"Sky lancers, ready your lances. And begin!" yelled John, then the Protectors and Benjamin charged toward each other.
They started to get closer and closer and closer until, Benjamin use the first strike. But the Protectors avoided the attack, so Benjamin turned around and continue to face them. Mike began to clash his lance at Benjamin with everything he's got, since John mentioned he was a legend. Everyone was cheering at the battle, then Sienna dive down and struck Benjamin.
So Benjamin began to fight her, but Sienna dodged his lance then suddenly, he got off his griffin and landed on top of Sienna's, then he began to fight her. Sienna kept blocking his lance with her own. And then, Dillon jabbed Benjamin with his lance which knocked him down, but Benjamin grabbed his griffin and got back on, and he flew towards the Protectors again.
"Wait a minute," said Gawayne. "isn't that against sky lance regulation?" he asked to the others.
"Come on, it isn't it's annual festival. We just modified it." said John with a smirk.
Benjamin kept fighting the Protectors that are against the rules, due to the Young Royals changing them.
"I knew those guys would cheat in a tournament!" Zeke growled in anger.
"No." Mike spoke. "They didn't cheat, they just changed the rules." he explained.
"Come on, sky lancer is an honorable event. Not just another game." said Dillon.
"But to them." Mike pointed at the Young Royals. "It is." he said as the Protectors avoided another attack from Benjamin.
"Come on dude, you're a sky lancer. You know better than that." said Zeke. "Those guys are just ruining a great sport." he said to Benjamin.
"I was a sky lancer." Benjamin began. "Everyone in the Realm called me a magnificent man, even though the city is in danger I kept practicing where I was unbeatable." he explained it to the Warriors.
"Huh? Then why did you become a bounty hunter?" Mike asked in both shock and confusion.
"Yes. Years ago I have met my match and was defeated by, Queen Goodfey." said Benjamin and the Protectors widened their eyes in shock. "I was ruined, and I disappeared from the world of sky lancer and became a bounty hunter. And now I've been summoned back to the arena, I can finally redeem myself, by defeating you." he said and he charged to attack the Protectors.
The Protectors kept avoiding and dodging Benjamin, which made their griffins exhausted, which they took notice.
"Guys! We gotta hurry, our griffins are running out of steam." said Dillon.
"But how are we gonna beat a legendary sky lancer?" asked Sienna. Which gave Mike an idea.
"Guys, remember that those pains in the butts only see sky lancer as a game." said Mike.
"Yeah." said Tom.
"So let's play sky lancer as a game." he said to the Protectors.
Then they charged at Benjamin, but Benjamin started to charge at them as well. Just Benjamin was about to jab Mike, he avoided the lance and he and the Protectors jabbed him. And the jab was so powerful, it launched Benjamin off of his griffin and is heading to the young Royals and the both crashed when they made impact. Then everyone cheered at the Protectors.
"The Protectors beat Benjamin Wing." said John as he got back up. "But they are still outlaws, which is a major disqualification." he said with a thumbs down. Then everyone was outraged by that announcement.
"Come on, the Protectors won fair and square. You can't disqualify them!" Bobby called, which the audience agreed and they started to boo at him. And then they started to chant...
"Protectors! Protectors! Protectors!" John was starting to get annoyed by the chanting, he changed his thumbs down to a thumbs up and everyone cheered. And this made the Protectors smile.
Later at Brax's castle, the Dragon Patrol has given Brax a bunch of Emeraldites, much to his satisfaction.
"You've done well." said Brax.
'Yeah, they were at the sky lancer arena when no one was looking." explained Robert.
"But it's not enough, go back out there and find me more!" Brox commanded as the Dragon Patrol bowed and left.
Later that night, the Protectors are watching tv and eating pizza, when Sienna was about to join with the others Mike tapped on her shoulder.
"Hey Sienna." Mike greeted.
"Hey Mike, what's up?" said Sienna.
"I just wanted to say thanks for helping me with Benjamin." he said to Sienna.
"Don't mention it, I mean I am your friend after all." she said to Mike.
"Yeah. But come I thought I just saw you being worried about me," Sienna started to blush.
"Well... I, uh... I do really care about you... a lot." Sienna stuttered, which surprises Mike.
"A lot?" said Mike.
"Yeah, a lot... like really... a lot." said Sienna, until Mike started to lean toward her, and then Sienna closed her eyes and they both shared, a kiss. But what they didn't know, is that the rest of the Protectors were secretly watching with smiles on their faces.
