Chapter 2: Goku & Piccolo vs Raditz
"Dragon Ball? That's a strange name for a different universe. Wait, there better not be any-" before Eda could finish that Camila coughed out loud to get her attention, she did not look happy. "Fine I won't say it, but I better not see any of that!" yelled Eda. "Don't worry the "Dragon Balls'' refers to something else, which will be explained in this "episode" that you will watch. But, " The screen now showed the episode.
A man was shown with an orange outfit on and next to him was a green alien. In front of them was a man with armor, and right next to him was a crater with a space pod crashed there.
"Already setting us up with some action" Eda stated. "Those people look like they could be straight from the Boiling Isle, well except the one with the one in orange." Luz had her eyes glued to the screen and could only think of what was happening right now. "Oh man! I wonder what led up to this, maybe the one with armor stole something from those guys. Or maybe they are trying to rescue someone! So many questions!" Luz squealed at the sight of this and wanted to know more.
"How did you know where to find me?" stated the one in armor. "That is not any of your business," the man in orange said in an irritated tone. "Fair enough, so let me ask a different question. What exactly are you two fools doing exactly?" Inside the space pod showed a young kid scared and crying.
"I have a feeling that the man in armor is the one we should start hating," Eda said in a cold tone, "Woah, I didn't think you could be that cold Eda" Luz said. "I draw the line when kids start getting hurt." Looking at both Luz and King "That I can agree with" stated Camila. "I hope those people can get the kid out of this and get him to his parents."
"Isn't obvious, I've come to take my son back" the kid stopped crying and looked up to where he heard his father's voice. "Hmph, let me get this straight, you mean you're one of the last living Saiyan's and you're refusing to join the rest of your kind." the man in armor said in an irritated voice. "Yeah, that's exactly what I mean!" stated the man in orange. "So, you're actually going against your older brother." "Like I said before you are no brother of mine", now the armored man was getting frustrated and was starting to crush the fruit he had in his hand. "Kakarot, I always thought you would have more sense than this".
"Well, that's some heavy family drama" Eda said, "What could have made the brother mad enough to kidnap Kakarot's son?" stated Amity. "Whatever the reason is, taking a child from their dad is wrong. I just hope Kakarot can take his son back and let this be the end of it." Luz said with a sad expression, she hopes that it doesn't escalet to the point where someone gets seriously hurt. "One thing I don't understand is why does his brother and son have a tail, but Kakarot doesn't?" Willow asked curiously. "Maybe it was cut off?" said King in a tired voice. "And here I thought you fell asleep", Eda said "Well I was but this looks like it's going to be action packed, so why not stay awake and see what this is."
"That's enough I'm not interested in your family scrabble!" taking his cloak and hat off and getting ready to begin a battle. "His power level just jumped to 408" the man said as a device was scanning them and somehow was telling how strong they were. "I see you're still wearing your training weights too Piccolo" Kakarot was now taking off some of his weighted clothes as well, making the device beep even more. "Something tells me that I won't want to hold back for this one", taking his wrist bands off and getting ready to fight his brother. "Now Kakarot's is all the way to 416", throwing away the fruit he also gets ready to fight. "Huh, ahahaha, you think that little increase is enough to beat me?" stated in a confident tone. "What?!" Now both Piccolo and Kakarot were on their guard. "Hahaha, what fools you truly are coming here with those pitiful levels thinking you can take me on. I can see that I have to put you both into your place!" The man in armor had the most confidence that he would be victorious. "You go ahead and try! Just cause you're stronger than we are doesn't mean we can't win!" Piccolo looked at Kakarot with a concerned look "You may have strength, but we have a strategy!" He was nervous but he was confident in what he had to say to his brother. "Then we'll see how long that strategy keeps you alive. I'm sorry brother but I was thinking about my offer, and I changed my mind." His stance changed, instead of being relaxed like he was before, he now radiated an aura that can put pressure on anyone.
"Here we go! Finally, some action!" yelled King, "Still doesn't answer some of my questions, and it looks like they're just going to fight." stated Willow, "Maybe we can ask that voice to answer some of our questions?" asked Gus. "What?! No, the battle to the death is about to start and I want to watch it!" King stood in his chair and tried to get to Gus but got tired and just sat back down. "It couldn't hurt to ask some questions, maybe we can learn Kakarot's brother's name." stated Willow. "But how do we summon him? Do we just scream or do something?" asked Luz. "HEY! Weird voice, we want to ask you some questions so can you show up real quick!" Eda yelled. Not a second later the robotic voice came back. "Do you need something?" The voice asked and waited for them to answer.
Now that the voice was back, they were ready to ask questions leading up to the kidnapped kid the two brothers fighting. "Well, I wanted to ask if you could tell us what happened to where Kakarot's brother had to kidnap his son?" Amity asked. "No problem" The screen flickered and shifted to the scene where the kid was kidnaped. "The child in the man's hands is called Gohan, the son of Son Goku or by his Saiyan name, Kakarot. Goku took Gohan to go visit his old master, Roshi, it was there where Goku's brother took Gohan as compensation because Goku failed his mission on destroying all the inhabitants on the planet. That's where he introduced himself as Raditz, and tells Goku what the Saiyan's do and why he has failed. Saiyan's are warriors that conquer planets to sell them off later and that they were the last survivors of their race. But Raditz learned that Goku had a head injury at a young age making him forget the mission he was given. Now he fights for Earth and defends it from anything that tries to threaten it. The man next to him is Piccolo, an enemy of Goku that fought him in the past but put their differences this one time to fight a common enemy."
Everyone was shocked by what they heard, first the guy in orange had a different name than the one they have been calling, but that he was sent to Earth to conquer it! "Well, I'm glad that he got that mission out of his head, or this may have been a completely different world" Eda said, "One thing that still doesn't make sense is the purpose of the tails. Do they make them stronger or is it just because they are Saiyan's?" said Willow. "You will learn soon enough", switching the screen back to where Raditz was getting ready to fight Goku and Piccolo. "Maybe Raditz will have a change of heart if he sees his younger brother getting hurt." Amity said with some sadness, older siblings can be hard on their younger siblings, but deep down they care. So maybe this will happen, and the fighting will stop before it escalates even further "Yes! Finally, the bloodshed will commence!" yelled King.
"You'll probably just slow us all down. AND FOR BETRAYING THE SAIYAN RACE YOU WILL DIE!". Goku and Piccolo both went into their battle stance watching Raditz for his next move. Raditz lunged at them so fast that they couldn't even react, he elbowed both Goku and Piccolo in their backs, blowing both away. As fast as Raditz hit them both they quickly recovered and got ready for his next move. Raditz turned to face them both and started speaking to them "I know, here in your final moments why don't I tell you a little secret" chuckling he began to tell them his secret. "The other two surviving Saiyan's that I mentioned earlier, they both have power levels higher than mine", Goku and Piccolo couldn't believe what they just heard, and both stood there in disbelief.
"No way, someone stronger than Raditz! Goku and Piccolo are shown to be having a hard time but for someone to be even stronger than him!" Luz was startled to find out that someone was even stronger than Raditz. "Wait, hold on what does he mean power levels? Is it that thing on his face? Is there magic in this world and that's how they can detect it?" Eda asked. "Oh yeah, we never did ask if magic existed there or not." Gus looked at the screen and asked if the voice can explain if magic exists there or not. "Magic does exist but that is not used too constantly, the main thing that they are using is Ki. This is the thing that is being used consistently in this universe, Ki can be learned be learned and anyone can use it."
"So, I can just learn this, and I can do what they're doing now?" asked Luz. "Yes, maybe your strength won't be to their level, but you will be able to do a lot of things with Ki." "Hmm, I may just try to learn this Ki thing if it can beat magic" stated Eda. "Of course, I will be the strongest and do most of the cool stuff. Just wait and see Saiyan's! King is coming for you!" Camila looked at Luz who had a huge smile on her, maybe her learning Ki will keep her daughter safer than trying to learn magic, but whichever path Luz chooses she just hopes that it will keep her safe.
"Only now that it's too late for you do you understand what it means to face a Saiyan. I tried to warn you brother, I asked you to see reason, but you refused to listen! And for that you die." Raditz said coldly to Goku, "Huh, and even if we don't there's still two more Saiyan's out there right?" stated Goku. "So what? Personally, I find the prospect quite exciting." Goku looked at Piccolo and chuckled "Yeah, you would, but exciting is probably the word I wouldn't use right now. To be completely honest I'm pretty terrified" Raditz was amused at his brother's statement. "Yes, I don't blame you, I suppose I would feel the same way if I were to be found staring death in his face." However, Goku had enough and snapped at Raditz, "I'M DONE LISTENING TO THIS! WHERE'S MY SON! WHERE HAVE YOU HIDDEN HIM! TELL ME!"
"Keeping a child from their parents like this will be the cause for Raditz defeat" Camila said with anger being held back, she wanted to go off, but had to restrain herself since Luz was right next to her. "I hope that's true because right now Raditz doesn't seem to be concerned with them." Stated Amity, "Well, maybe they have a secret technique that they can use against him, I bet it's some sort of super powerful technique that can catch Raditz off guard!". Luz knew that Goku could save his son, but she didn't know how he was going to do that since his enemy was far stronger than both him and Piccolo.
"I haven't hidden him anywhere. He was annoying me with his crying so I shut him up. I tucked him away in my space pod in the crater behind you." Goku looked behind him to see if Raditz was telling the truth. He flew high enough to see the space pod and looked if his son was there. "In there, huh. Gohan", Gohan could see his father and yelled out to him. "Help daddy! I want out! Save me! DADDY!" Goku looked at Gohan and tried to calm him. "Hang in there Gohan! Daddy is going to get you out of there really soon I promise!" Raditz could only laugh at his brother's statement, "Don't get the boys hopes up! You know that's a promise that you can't keep. You'd have to get through me first and you know that won't happen."
"That poor boy will be traumatized after all this is over, and I hope Raditz gets a taste of a parents' wrath." Camelia stated with anger seeping through. "Ain't that the truth, poor kid will probably cry every night thinking something like this will happen every day" Eda said. Camila looked at Gohan and saw how scared he was, and how was begging his dad to save him. It hurt her seeing such an innocent kid being hurt this way, but what hurt her the most was that if Goku were to lose then Gohan will not only be scarred by this event but will see his own father be killed in front of his own eyes. "Please don't let that kid see something like that, let him live a normal life with his father" Camila whispered her thoughts.
Goku landed and got into his fighting stance, "Fine, let's do this." Piccolo joined Goku and got into his stance as well, "Good because I'm sick of this talking." Raditz could only laugh at their antics, "Ahhhh!" both Goku and Piccolo screamed as they charged at Raditz full speed. Both of them sent a flurry of blows towards Raditz, but he just kept on dodging every single one they threw at him. So, they both quickly went behind him and tried to strike him from behind. Raditz just simply countered it by hitting them both with his legs, making him fly. They saw that Raditz was completely defenseless and quickly recovered, charging at him once more.
Only for Raditz to fly higher and forcing Goku and Piccolo to go after him. Raditz smirked knowing that they both fell right to his trap, moving his arms down, he sent Ki waves right towards them both. Seeing this attack coming Goku was lucky enough to dodge the incoming attack, but Piccolo was struck on his left arm. As both blasts kept going, they finally hit the mountains that were in the area making a huge explosion completely destroying them. Goku landed and looked everywhere for Raditz, "What! Where did he go?!" and not a moment later Raditz was behind Goku. "I'm right" here, striking Goku in the back and sent him flying away.
Everyone was shocked by what they just witnessed; they just saw Raditz blow up mountains like it was no big deal. But not only did he do it with no difficulty, but they also just remembered what Raditz said earlier, "The other two surviving Saiyan's that I mentioned earlier, they both have power levels higher than mine." They couldn't believe that someone out there was this strong but that there were two other people who were far stronger than him! "Alright, I'll be the one to say it. They stand no chance against him." Eda stated, "Eda!" Luz yelled to Eda. "Come on kiddo, he just blew up two mountains like they were nothing. But, that there's also two other Saiyans more powerful than him! Even if they win against Raditz, I don't think they stand a chance against the other two." No one knew what to say, they were watching a losing battle with horrible outcomes.
Raditz laughed at his brother's attempt at a fight, "Damn, are you alright Piccolo?" But when he looked at Piccolo Goku could only be in shock because Piccolo had just lost his left arm. "Don't worry, it's not as bad as it looks. I only need one arm to fight."
"Oh my God" Camila looked in horror as she saw someone just lose an arm, "Luz, if by any moment you want to stop watching then just tell me okay. Maybe we can ask the screen to change the universe and we can watch something else", she didn't know if Luz was ready to see something like this, but also didn't want to choose for her. "Gracias mami, I don't think it will get any worse than this but I think I'm kind of used to it. I mean I saw Eda's head get cut off once, just without the blood and stuff." Eda remembered when that happened and rubbed her neck a bit, that hurt a lot, the only issue is that she can re-attach her body parts back when that happens, but Piccolo literally got his arm disintegrated and unless he can heal then his arm is gone.
"Ahahaha, WHO ARE KIDDING! YOU'RE HALF DEAD ALREADY!" They knew that if they couldn't come up with a plan soon, they would die. "Hey Goku, I suppose you don't have any new tricks up your sleeves that you've been holding back?" Goku chuckled at Piccolo's question but sadly he didn't really have any new techniques. "Yeah I wish, sorry I got nothing", Piccolo just gave a small laugh "You've been slacking. Lucky for you I spent the last few months perfecting a new attack", Raditz wondered what they were talking about so he interrupted their talk. "What are you two talking about? Some new strategy perhaps? Please, why don't you die already and stop wasting my time" Goku looked at Piccolo and wanted to know if this attack could be done. "Can you do this attack with one arm?" He knew that they had shot at beating Raditz so he told Goku what he needed. "Yeah that's not a problem, but I will need some time to charge up my energy. A few minutes that's all." They looked at Raditz and saw that he was getting impatient, "You will have to find a way to keep him occupied until I'm ready, think you can do that?" Goku knew that he had to fight Raditz head on with no back up now. "You got it", he was nervous and hoped that Piccolo's attack would be enough to take down Raditz.
"Yes! I knew they had something up their sleeves, now Goku has to stall enough for Piccolo to do his attack and everything will be smooth sailing." Luz was happy to know that they did have some sort of trump card with them. "I'm just glad that Gohan can come out of this bad situation, hopefully things like this won't ever happen again." Camila said.
"Huh, ironically I've been saving this attack to kill you" Goku readied himself to attack Raditz for hopefully one last time, "and now you might end up using it to save me huh." Raditz readied himself as he saw his brother get ready for another attack. "Consider it a preview, if we manage to beat this guy your next!" It was time for Goku to battle once more. "Alright, you got yourself a deal, after we win I'll let you take your best shot", Goku rushed towards Raditz but only for him to block his attack. Goku quickly started to launch a flurry of blows towards Raditz but each one he kept on dodging, Piccolo put two fingers near his forehead and started to charge up.
"Please Goku, it's only for a little bit." Luz prayed and hoped that Raditz would at least go easy on him. "If this goes wrong then Raditz will now know about Piccolo's attack and probably won't let that happen again. This has to work the first time", Amity stated. "I'll just be glad if they can get Gohan out that space pod, kid must be cramped in there" Eda said.
Goku was being pummeled by Raditz, each attack hurting worse than the last. Piccolo was getting near to unleash his attack, sparks flew as his power was rising at his fingertips. Goku on the other hand was still no match against Raditz, each attack he sent Raditz evaded. Until an attack from him sent him flying, but this time he recovered quickly and launched himself towards the sky. "Aren't you persistent", cupping his hands ready to charge his own attack. "Ka.. me…" Raditz scouter started to beep rapidly, "Huh, his power level is rising." A blue ball of energy started to form in Goku's cupped hands, "Ha… me!" Raditz then noticed that the other guy was also making his scouter beep rapidly, "WHAT! And his too, his power level shot up to 1020! And it's still climbing!"
Finally Goku shot his attack towards Raditz, "HAAAAAAAAA!" Raditz dodge out of the way but Goku wouldn't let him escape that easily. Bending his Kamehameha and changing where it was going, Raditz stopped and instead of dodging it he was getting ready to take it full force. "Fine, let's have it!" Taking a position to hold back the attack until it blew up. Goku looked at the dust and waited to see if Raditz was able to take on his Kamehameha. When the dust settled Raditz had no damage on him and was only shaking a little bit, "He deflected it" Goku stated.
"And here I thought Goku had no tricks of his own" Eda said, only to wonder if Goku's attack was not enough to scratch Raditz then why are they betting it all that Piccolo's will. "Wait, if Goku's Kame- whatever wasn't enough to even SCRATCH Raditz, then why think that Piccolo's will?" Everyone thought about it for a second until Willow thought of the reason. "Well, maybe because Piccolo is charging up much more energy than what Goku did with his attack?" Willow speculated. "All I want right now is for you guys to stop talking right now, the good part is about to begin!" King said happily.
"Neat huh, now can you do the same?!" Raditz then shot a Ki blast right at Goku, he couldn't even react to it. The force of the attack left Goku badly damaged and was now falling from the sky. Raditz ran towards his brother and when he landed grabbed his shirt and was about to strike. However, he then realized that Piccolo's power level had risen again. "Power level 1330! Somehow hes concentrating all his power into his fingertips" , Raditz raised his hand in fury now knowing that he had been tricked.
"They've been holding back! They can alter their power levels at will!" But before Raditz could do a thing Piccolo had finished charging his attack. "Die Saiyan! SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!" A beam spiral comes out of his fingertips and goes straight to Raditz. His armor could be heard shattering, and traveling towards the near mountain. Upon impact a giant explosion occurred that blinded everyone.
Their sighs of relief hit everyone when they saw Piccolo launch his attack and heard Raditz armor shatter made everyone feel calm. "Glad that problem was solved, now hopefully Piccolo could wait a bit before trying to attack Goku since they still need to get Gohan out of that space pod" said Luz. But, something odd felt odd about this, Amity could tell that something was about to happen, that was when she noticed a figure in the smoke. "Hey, I think we should pay attention to what is happening to the screen because it doesn't look good." This brought everyone's attention back to the screen to see what Amity was talking about, and that's when they saw it.
Once the light simmered down, the mountain that was hit now had a huge hole on its side. However, the person that was supposed to be hit by the attack was standing tall with only a scratch on his right shoulder. "He…He dodge it" Piccolo said with fear starting to consume him.
"That was their only shot…" Luz had no words, if they didn't come up with something quick then Gohan will be just like her.
"Congratulations, you actually managed to give me a scratch and for that you will pay dearly." Raditz charged a Ki ball in his hand ready to kill Piccolo. "SEE YOU IN HELL!" Piccolo could only try to block the attack, but he knew he couldn't survive what was coming towards him. "AHHHHHH–" Raditz stopped midway as a sharp pain took over his whole body. He looked behind him and saw Kakarot grabbing his tail. "Hehehe, you let your guard down, hehe. Now I got you by the tail", Goku tightened his grip on Raditz 'tail. The pain was too much and soon collapsed, "How did you manage to…" he stopped talking and just grunted out of pain. "Now Piccolo I got him! Hurry up and charge your attack again!" Piccolo was relieved and started immediately charging for a second attack. "Well done Goku, now hold him still, don't let him go no matter what. I only have enough energy to use this attack once more."
"Thank Titan, I thought they were done for" Amity said, Luz started to calm down a bit since she saw that the tides were turning for the better. "Well now, since it seems like they have it in the bag, maybe learning Ki won't be such a bad idea. Just look at the things you can do with it, I can already see all the new crimes I can commit." Eda stated.
Lillith was walking around town and was just doing her regular routine, nothing out of the ordinary was happening for now but she knew that her sister would sooner or later cause a commotion. "Maybe today Eda took a day off, no that doesn't sound like her. The scouts just have to be more vigilant, maybe today we can actually capture her." She speculated on what Eda was planning when all of sudden a sense of fear hit her. She didn't know why but she could tell it was because of Eda. "Okay, that was weird. I better go tell the Emperor to increase security for today, I have a bad feeling that Eda is going to cause big trouble"
"Maybe starting with this universe was a bad idea" Luz was now concerned about what the Boiling Isle had in store for when they returned. "Yes! Finally people will show fear when I come blasting down from above. So, you better start grobling on my feet when I'm done!" King was excited but Eda laughed knowing that he will give up the moment it gets too hard.
"Kakarot please, will you really kill your own brother! Your own flesh and blood…", Goku had enough of Raditz thinking that they were a "family", Shut up, we've already been through this, as far as I'm concerned I don't have a brother. Especially not someone as horrible as you! Besides, you tried to kill me first!" Goku was irritated that Raditz still tried to convince him that they were family even though he was almost killed a couple of moments ago. "Yes.. You're right, you have shown me the error of my ways, let me go and I will leave you and your son in peace" Raditz pleaded with his brother.
"Don't be fooled Goku, he's lying, he doesn't mean a word on what he is saying. There's no way he will just leave quietly now." Goku was struggling now, he wanted to believe his brother but he also listened to what Piccolo said. He just didn't know what to do, "Please believe me brother, it's true that I've done some horrible things, I realize that. Your right to be cautious, I will leave as I say, I promise. On my life I promise!" Every word that came out of Raditz sounded genuine, but he still needed to know if he was lying or not. "Do you mean that?"
Goku was hesitant, "I do, I swear it." He felt that Raditz may actually be telling the truth, but Piccolo knew better and tried to warn Goku. "NO GOKU! DON'T LET GO OF HIS TAIL, THIS IS ALL A PLOY!"
Eda was dumbfounded, she couldn't believe that Goku was actually believing what Raditz was saying. "Okay, hitting his head at a young age really did more damage than I thought" it was obvious that Raditz was lying but Goku believed that he could change. "Well I guess the depressing mood is going to come back, I don't think another miracle like that will happen again" Amity said in a sad tone, she knew that Goku was being taken advantage of and that made her angry. It reminded her of how her parents will manipulate her into doing things that only benefit them and never her.
"Please Kakarot, you have to believe me I'm begging you!" Goku trusted Raditz words, and his grip loosened, until he finally let go. "GOKU!" Raditz laughed, standing up and elbowing Kakarot right in his mouth. Goku was sent away but this time Raditz followed and stomped on his stomach. Goku screamed in pain, "You fool! In all my travels I never met anyone as stupid as you!" He laughed right at Kakarot.
"You lied.." Goku said strained. "Of course I did, I'm a first class warrior. I do what it takes to survive without hesitation even if that means killing my own brother. Shall I prove it to you?" Raditz stomped at Goku's chest, and all Goku could do was yelp. "And so you remember, I will kill you nice and slow. Hehehe" He then looked at Piccolo and taunted him to do something. "Well go on, what are you waiting for? Lets see your little attack" Piccolo couldn't do nothing. "Dammit I can't, he will just dodge it again."
"Oh God" Camila gasped at the brutality of Goku's beatdown. Each hit made Luz get more scared now, she didn't want to see another father die in front of her. Eda just watched at how brutality Raditz was treating his own family, and this was because they chose different paths in their life. Raditz was angered that Goku didn't follow their mission and instead protected the planet he was supposed to enslave, in a way this reminded Eda of how she and her sister fell apart. However, she didn't believe that her sister could do such things that could compare her to Raditz, but one thing she did see by watching this fight was that this could very well be her and Lilith fighting one day. "Maybe talking to her won't hurt much, I just hope she just won't try to throw me s" Eda whispered
Cracks started to form in Raditz space pod until it was completely shattered open, and the one to cause the damage was Gohan. "WHAT!" Raditz was shocked that his nephew just broke out of his space pod without any difficulty. Piccolo couldn't believe what he was seeing, not only did Gohan just break out of the space pod but his power was also increasing dramatically. Gohan landed out of the crater and he was furious, "What? What is this? Impossible" Raditz questioned. "Gohan… Run… Run away.. Gohan!" Goku struggled to say to his son, "Gohan! Run! Run Gohan!"
When they saw Gohan break out of the space pod everyone was surprised that he just did that so easily. "You would expect the pods to be at least more durable, but he just broke out of it like it was nothing!" Gus exclaimed, "Wait, that doesn't sound right, if it was so badly made wouldn't Gohan just bust out at any moment?" Willow questioned, "I don't think that's the case, I don't think they will be using those pods to travel anywhere if they could just break apart like that." Amity stated, "It doesn't surprise me that the Blight could tell if something was made cheaply." Eda said, "But, if it's not the space pod, then was it Gohan that could have done that?" Luz didn't know what to feel now, she thought that Gohan was going to be kidnaped by Raditz but now he just broke out and was staring right at his captor. "Oh no! Gohan is out in the open and Goku can't help him!" Luz was now nervous that Gohan may become the target again, she just hoped that he runs away as fast as possible and maybe find more of Goku's friends to come help.
Seeing his own father struggle like this made Gohan even angrier, his own dad was being hurt badly, someone as kind hearted as his father didn't deserve this punishment. "His power level, it's at… 1307…!" Raditz couldn't believe what his scouter was telling him, he just thought that his nephew had a power level of 1 but his scouter now shows him with a power level of 1307! "You stop hurting my… DADDY!" finally Gohan's anger explodes and goes straight towards Raditz. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Raditz couldn't even react to how fast Gohan was going, and only reacted when he was hit. Gohan had broken his armor and actually hurt him.
"I guess they ain't that screwed" Eda just witnessed one of the most coolest things a kid could ever do. "Did Gohan just hurt Raditz?!" Amity had the impression that Gohan was someone that couldn't fight back, but this showed her that there was more to him then was led on. "Alright, then Gohan just needs to get back up and finish the job. Granted he'll probably be scared by what he did but Raditz asked for it so hopefully no hard feelings." Eda stated. "I don't really like the idea for such a young boy to take someones life, maybe his hit was enough of a distraction and Piccolo could just do the job instead" Camila was upset that either situation led to Gohan watching someone die, but she can tell that Goku won't let his son be stuck in such a dark place for long.
Goku was shocked, he couldn't believe that his son was able to damage Raditz this badly. Raditz was almost knocked down by how hard Gohan hit him, but recovered enough to regain his balance. "Gohan?" Goku asked in confusion, Gohan saw his dad laying down and stood up to go towards him "Daddy", Goku looked at Gohan and questioned what he saw. "Did you?" Gohan had tears coming out of eyes now seeing his dad with all of his bruises up close, "Are you hurt daddy?" The only one that was not amused about this situation was Raditz, "You… You brat!" He started to walk over to where his nephew was ready to kill him, "Go! Run away!" Goku tried to make his son run from this but Gohan was too scared to do anything right now.
"Go son, fast as you can!" Gohan just looked at his dad with fear until he heard Raditz right behind him. "Hurry! Just please! Just go!" Raditz scouter was checking Gohan's power level to see if it was still increasing, but it just read that he had a power level of 1 once again. "What?! You're kidding, now his power level has dropped to 1!" Gohan backed away as Raditz came closer to him, "Yes, that has to be it, it changes with his emotion" Goku couldn't bear to see what Raditz was about to Gohan and begged him to run away. "RUN GOHAN!" Without a second thought Raditz swings at Gohan, launching him away and knocking him out. "GOHAN!"
Goku didn't know what to do, his body was too weak to even move but if he did nothing then Gohan would be hurt again. That's when Raditz started to walk over to the unconscious kid "No stop, don't do it please! He's just a-" but Raditz cut him off. "Child, is that what you were going to say? Don't make me laugh, this child has a far greater power level than either one of you! It's best that I kill him now before he learns how to use" Goku struggled to find the strength to stand back up but knew if he didn't then Gohan will die. "But, don't worry brother, you will see your son again. In the next world ahahaha!" Raditz just laughed at the situation his brother was in, and Goku just kept on trying to get up.
"NO WAIT!" Goku screamed one last time, "To think this puny little brat was the first opponent who's ever caused me any real damage at the battlefield. An embarrassment I will soon erase." Crackling of power was forming in Raditz's palm now ready to finish off Gohan, "NOW DIE!"
"NOOO!" They couldn't believe that someone as evil as Raditz could even exist, to hit such a young kid without even hesitating, but to also want to kill him was something they never thought was possible. "Por favor, alguien salve a Gohan!" Camila couldn't hold her emotions anymore, watching an innocent boy get struck like this hit a nerve within her that can't be ignored. "No… This was supposed to be a happy ending… Why must it end like this… Please don't let this happen… Please" Luz was scared and didn't want to see it end like this, she begged that someone will help Goku and he'll be reunited with his son. But, things were only getting worse "Please… SOMEONE SAVE HIM!"
That was when Goku grabbed him from behind and used all of his remaining strength to hold Raditz still. "Why you little" Raditz tried to get his brother out grasp but he couldn't get a good angle to try anything, "PICCOLO! QUICK YOUR ATTACK! DO IT! DO IT NOW!" Piccolo didn't hesitate and quickly started to charge up. "Finally, it's about time you decided to do your move. Now, hold him.. It's almost ready" Raditz continued to struggle knowing full well what will happen if he didn't escape. "Piccolo, I can't keep this up for long" Goku used every ounce of strength to keep Raditz from moving, "Are you really this stupid! Let go! If you're standing right behind me when he fires, the blast will kill you too!" He tried to make his brother loosen his grip but it didn't work.
Goku chuckled knowing what he was doing, "Then I guess it's the way it has to be." Goku said while struggling to keep Raditz in place, "WHAT! ARE YOU INSANE!" Goku made Raditz turn over to where Piccolo was to make the attack hit them. "Your son, think about him!" He tried to use his son to persuade him to let go but Goku was already thinking about his son and the way to save him. "I am, this is the only way to defeat you!" Piccolo just laughed at the squabble of the two Saiyans, "Alright Goku, if that's what you want then I won't hold back. It's no secret I wanted you dead for a long time, I won't pass up this chance" Raditz was getting desperate and was willing to say anything to come out alive.
"Wait, please let me go, I.. I was wrong! I'm sorry! Release me! I will leave this planet!" Goku was not stupid enough to actually fall for that trick twice and didn't listen to Raditz's words. "Right, forget it, I won't fall for that again" Raditz tried again desperately trying to convince his brother, "I mean it this time! Please, don't you trust your own brother!" Goku had enough of Raditz calling him his brother and didn't respond to him, instead asking Piccolo to hurry up. "PICCOLO! HURRY UP!" He was charging up ready to end this once and for all, "Sorry to keep you waiting. Are you ready Goku?"
Luz could only hope that Goku can come out of this alive, but all she wanted to see right now was Gohan safe. She held out her hand to find out that her mom had taken it, she knew that the next thing coming was going to be hard to watch. But, she wasn't alone, she looked around and saw everyone having the same feelings. Looking at her mom and squeezing her hand knowing that she was never alone anymore.
"DO IT!" Goku screamed ready for Piccolo to finish this fight, "RIGHT!" Raditz could only watch as he saw his own death coming, "WAIT!" Without any hesitation Piccolo finally launched his attack, "SPECIAL BEAM CANNON!" The beam launched right towards Raditz and hitting him right in his stomach, Raditz let out a scream of pain and soon Goku yelled out too. As the beam toar right through Goku and Raditz, finally ending this battle.
Luz squeezed hard at her mom's hand, reminding her of her dad's death. She looked at her mom and she soon was hugged by her, "Was there another way?" Luz said tearfully, Camila looked at her daughter and told her what she thought "Goku is a father, a father who cares deeply for his son, which means that he took the best possible choice to let his son live another day." Amity heard Luz's mom's words, words that almost made her tear up. She saw how much Luz and her mom actually love each other, something that she wishes she had with Odalia. But, maybe she can show her love to others instead, looking at Luz one more time. "I think waiting to return back home will be too long, hopefully we have a break soon because I think I'm ready to tell her."
"You doing good Luz?" Eda asked worriedly, "Yeah, thank you for asking Eda. It's just that this brings back really bad memories and it kind of made me sad" Luz snuffled a bit. "Well I don't think it kind of made you upset, I think it made you upset. But, that's what i just see, either way if you feel that you're comfortable talking to me then I'm all ears. Or you have your mom to talk to as well, just don't forget that adults aren't the only ones you can talk to." Pointing to Willow, Gus, King and Amity, who all smile back at her. Luz could only smile knowing that even if she was faced against bad odds, she knew that people will always be waiting for her no matter where she was. "Thank you guys for always being with me. I hope that no matter the issue we face that we can all come together and trust in each other to help." Luz said, "Don't worry about that Luz, even if Emperor Belos was to get involved, I will always be there" Eda stated, and everyone agreed with her.
"Do you want to take a break mija?" Camila asked, "Thank you mami, but" Luz looked around and saw that it was going to be okay, "I don't want a break. I just want to know what's going to happen next." Camila wanted her daughter to at least rest a bit but she couldn't say no, "Okay mija, just tell us when you want to stop." Luz nodded and turned around ready to watch the ending.
"How did.. This happened… How could I lose.. To these fools.. Kakarot.. I didn't think he could do it…" Raditz struggled to comprehend what his brother did, as he was talking Piccolo came closer to hear what he was saying. "Just throw away his own… His own life.." Piccolo was amused by Raditz's thoughts, "Don't worry I doubt Goku will stay dead for long." Raditz was just confused, "What?!" He was now more confused, his brother was bleeding to death but yet the Namekian tells him that he'll just come back. "You heard me on this planet we have these things called the dragon balls. Gather all seven and together they have the power to grant any wish, even if that's bringing back someone dead back to life."
"What…" They were all just sad moments ago but now knowing that Goku could just come back to life, it just killed the mood they just had. "Well that just ruined the whole mood." Eda stated, "No kidding" Amity said, but this had her thinking, if any wish can be made then there should be some sort of limit.
"You can all go to hell." Raditz struggled to keep consciousness but looked at the Namekian to say his final message, "Still, I thank you for the information…" He chuckled knowing that now his other two teammates were now coming. "Everything that has happened here today, has been transmitted to my two Saiyan comrades deep in outer space." Piccolo was shocked at what he heard, "What?!" Raditz continued, "When they learn that I've been killed they-" Raditz coughed blood but still continued, "They'll come to avenge me!" Piccolo was now sweating, "They'll wipe you out, and every living thing on this planet! You won't have a chance, you're as good as dead already!" Goku overheard what Raditz had just said and struggled to talk, "The other Saiyan, when will they be here?!" Raditz obliged and answered, "1 year, one short year…" Raditz chuckled.
Piccolo couldn't believe how short of time they had, "Two of them… Even stronger… Than him.." Raditz was amused at how they are accepting their fate. "How sweet those that victory taste now" Piccolo was getting annoyed at Raditz's smug tone. "The'll soon have you writhing in pain like the worms you are!" Piccolo had enough of his talk and struck him down, finally ending his life. "You thought that was funny, well just see who has the last laugh when it's all set and done." Piccolo was now walking to Goku, "It's over, he's dead."
"I retake my statement again, they are screwed." Eda stated, "I agree with you on this one, there's now way that they can get that strong in such a short amount of time!" Gus said, "We just have to see what their idea is, maybe Goku can do something when he gets revived… That's weird to say" Amity said. "Even weirder hearing it" Luz stated, "Well at least Gohan won't just have a single mom trying to raise him." Camila coughed to get Luz's attention, she nervously looked at her mom and chuckled. "No offense mami" Luz said nervously, "Non taken" Camila stated.
Soon a flying car came and inside was Bulma, Krillin, and Roshi. "Oh no, only one of them is standing!" Bulma was nourvess on who survived, "Who? Which one is it?" Krillin asked worriedly, but that's when master Roshi answered. "It's Piccolo!" The car flew over them and soon landed near the dying Goku. That's when someone else was seen, a bald man with a scouter just like Raditz. "Hmph, Raditz got himself killed." The bald man said but there was also another voice heard, "Serves him right, pathetic." It was shown that the man who said that was someone with spiked up hair and was eating some sort of creature.
"If he can't handle a couple of puny fighters with power levels less than a 1,000" The man with blue armor said. "So what now? Should we put this plante on hold and head to Earth?" The bald man asked, "Did you catch the last bit? Those things… Dragon balls I believe." The bald man then answered, "Yeah. They said that it can grant any wish right." The blue armored man stood up and put his meal into the fire "I say that's worth investigating", The bald man then thought that those Dragon Balls can be used to bring back Raditz, "Then we can bring Raditz back to life." The blue armored man just looked at the bald man and thought he was joking. "Was that a joke? Why would we waste a wish on that worthless scum."
The bald man didn't know where his partner was going with this so he listened to understand what he was going to do. "If the story is true then we can have anything we want. Immortality, eternal youth, think you can live with those? We can be the most unstoppable force in the universe." The bald man finally understood what his comrade was getting at, "I like it. Yeah I'm in!"
"Guess we found out the next big bads of this story" Eda said, "Now to figure out who's actually in charge of this whole operation" Eda stated but Luz looked at her with a bit of confusion. "I thought the bald guy was the leader?" Luz said. Eda chuckled a little knowing that she still has a lot to learn, "It looks that way but just look how he responds to the man in blue, he's clearly following orders from him." King was the next to question Eda, "So what's the problem? Clearly the guy with a bad hair day is the leader." This time Amity was the one to say something, "Not really, he's clearly the boss of the bald man but not of the whole operation. Remember that they sell planets, so maybe the one who they sell it too is the one actual leader." Luz was amazed that Amity was able to get all of that from just a short talk. "That's amazing Amity! I didn't know you were so smart in this type of stuff." Amity blushed at Luz's comment and looked away, but everyone noticed how flustered she became, except for Luz.
"And that's everything" Roshi understood the situation that happened but Krillin was still in shock. "Goku! Goku, come one, are you with me! Do you hear me buddy?! No!" Krillin was at the brink of tears seeing his best friend dying right in front of his eyes. While Krillin was checking on Goku, Bulma was seeing if Gohan was okay. "I think Gohan is going to be okay. Looks like he just got knocked out of the loop", That's when Goku spoke up "Good… he's safe…" Krillin looked at his friend and was relieved that he was awake. "Hey man!" "Goku!" Krillin and master Roshi both were relieved to hear Goku's voice, but it wasn't for long. "Chichi… would probably kill me if… if he got hurt…" Goku was getting weaker by the second but was relieved that at least his son was safe.
"Hehehe… Kri… Krillin… this dying…it's not…not much fun is it…?" Krillin was panicked at what Goku just said, "Hey what the heck are you talking about! No one is dying here! You're going to be fine, you got that!" Goku knew that his wounds were too severe and he was losing consciousness. "No not this time… I'm… I'm too far gone…" Krillin knew that he was right but still reassured him that he wouldn't stay dead for long. "Well, don't you worry! We'll find the Dragon Balls and wish you back!" Goku was happy to hear that, "Sounds… good…" That was Goku's final words as he succumbed to his injury. Everyone gasped at seeing a close friend dying right in front of them, but Krillin took it the hardest. "Goku! GOKU!"
The screen turned black and a counter was put on "Eight hours before the next summary and viewing continues." Eda was the first one to stand, "Finally, I was getting tired of just sitting around. Maybe I can go and learn some Ki techniques before the next viewing." Luz also stood up and went over to Eda, "Ah yeah! Come on guys, this is going to be so much fun!" Everyone went down and soon doors appeared with signs on top, "Training room/Food court." Eda was already writing down what she is going to do with her new found power. "I don't think I'll train, but I definitely want some food" Gus said, "Couldn't hurt just to watch, what do you say Willow?" Amity asked. "I'm barely getting good with my magic, so I think learning something new wouldn't be a great idea." Following the rest of the group Camila was the last one to join in, she sighed and joined in. "I hope Luz doesn't cause too much trouble." As all of them walked into the room, the screen flickered showing the next universe they are going to watch. "Dragon Ball: The battle against the Saiyans continues"
