8. A shield strength

Hello and welcome back to the next chapter of Tales of Tamers Xilla! Were back to the next chapter of the Grimm eclipse arc. I enjoy playing the game, so it was a no brainer to add it to the story. Now let get to the chapter. Disclaimer: I don't own Digimon, The Tales series, Bleach, Sword art online, Fairy Tail, Roruni Kenshin, Darling in the Franxx, or Rwby. They all belong to their respected creators. I do own any OCs that appear in the story. Now on with the show!

Last time on Tales of Tamers Xilla: The gang were getting used to life at Beacon when they were call to Ozpin office. He told them that security devices were going offline around Vale. The gang split up to investigate this matter. Teams Tker and Rwby went with Prof. Port to the emerald forest. There they found a lost Palmon. She told them how she and 8 other Digimon were taken and brought to the real world. The gang promise to help find her friends as they contiue on with their mission. They found the control device was sabotage by an Ogremon who try to capture Palmon. Ruby refuse to let him take her friend as Palmon did the same. But soon a D-arc appear before Ruby as they became partners. Palmon digivolve to Togemon as she defeated Ogremon. But the gang still have question about what was going.

Chapter 8

A shield strength

Hiro POV: It been a few hours since we left Beacon. Ozpin told us about how security control devices were going off line around Vale. Teams Tker and Rwby has went to check one out in the Emerald forest. My team and Team Jnpr are enroute to check the other one with Prof Olbeck. I was cleaning my sword as we travel to our destination. "So what t like to be a tamer?" Nora ask suddenly. "It alright I guess, you have someone to watch your back." I said. "Plus they really help in a fight." Zoey said as eh lay her head in my shoulder. "So how did you guys meet your Digimon?" Jaune ask. "It was two years ago, we heard a rumor of a talking monster. So me and Zoey went to check it out. There we met Ryudamon. He explain he was a Ronin a warrior with out a master. He some how came to our world. "My former master was a violence monster, he enjoy it far too much. So I chose to leave his service. It was then I came here . Thanks to Hiro-dono I Leard there more to life than violence." Ryudamon said.

"But then a Musyamon appear. Turn out there a bounty on Ryudamon head. I told him why Ryudamon left and that there no need for violence. Ryudamon agreed with me and then my D-arc appear. He digivolve and we fought Musyamon. Musyamon then fell off a chiff and that the last we saw of him." Hiro said. "Now as for Me and Meicoomon, it was about a week later. I heard there were these bandits, thought it be fun to them out. Once we took them down, we found Meicoomon in a cage. I free her and we talk." Zoey said. "I told Zoey that they thought I was a mindless beast." Meicoomon said. "I use to think at times that I was even human because of what others said about me. But we didn't care, only we decide who we are. We soon got my D-arc and we been together ever since." Zoey said as she pet Meicoomon. "What about you Sven?" Ren ask. The cloak boy has his eyes close. He open them to look at us.

"I was in vacuo doing some free-lance work, when I heard about a group of Slavers in the area. They were going to attack a village to grab some Fanus. I chose to stop them." he said. "So did I, I have dealt with Digimon who enslave others before. I agreed to Aid Sven in his mission." Dorumon said. "We defeated the slaver quite easily, but then a Tuskmon appear. Dorumon told me to run, but I wouldn't abandon my comrade. That when My D-arc appear. Dorumon Digivolve and were victorious." Sven said. "How can one become a Tamer?" Pyrrha ask. "If you and a Digmon form a strong bond each other, then a D-arc should appear." Keisuke said. That when we felt the ship land. "Look alive students we arrive." Olbeck said. We left the ship to see were in a rocky area. "Where the control center?" I ask. "It is in the ruins east of us. We must make haste." He said. as We walk I look over to Jaune since the two of us were in the back. He look to be worry.

"You, ok?" I ask. He let out a sig. "Just thinking about how I got here." He said. "Didn't you train at a combat school like everyone else." I said. He rub the back of his head nervously. "About that, can you not tell your team about this and keep this between us?" He ask. "Sure." I said. "You see Hiro, I use fake transcripts to get into Beacon." He said as I blink in surprise. "Why would you do that?" I ask. "My family come from a long line of heroes. I wanted to be one too, but my dad refuse to train me, didn't thinks I have what it takes. But a local huntsman did, he train me in secret. From there I was able to get my hand on some phony transcripts thank to him." He said. "Does any one else knows about this?" I ask. "Only Pyrrha and Cardin. He found out and blackmail me to do stuff for him. But then I found the courage to stand up to him and put him in his place." He said. "That must be when he bully you. why think about this now?" I ask.

"Because there are times that I think I'm not strong enough to protect my friends." He said. "Jaune it not about the strength of you body, but the strength of your heart. I hope you can see that jaune." I said. "Yeah me too." He said as we all stop. "Why we stop?" Ren ask. "It appear we are being watch." Sven said as he look around. We all got ready for a fight. "Grimm?" Keisuke ask. "No something else." Dorumon said. But then something fell out of a bush. "Crap that smarts." A voice said. It was a small creature cover in green armor. It has blues eyes peeking out from it mask. It has a pair of small round shields on it arms with one more on the top off it head that has the number 1 in white on it. I check my D-arc. "[Ludomon rookie level weapon Digimon. His armor is very durable as he defends others with is Wall raltz attack.]" I said. "Ludomon is that really you?" Zubamon ask as he went over to Ludomon. "Zubamon I'm sure glad to see you." He said as they fist bumb."You know him?" Keisuke ask his partner.

"Sure do, before I ended up in the Digi-market, I was a part of a crew of Digimon. Ludomon was one of them." He said. "Me and blade head are rivals, were always trying to out do one another." Ludomon said. "Which I always wins saucer brains." Zubamon said. "So Ludomon how did you get here?" Jaune ask. The shield Digimon sigh. "Well that a long story short, me and the others got grab by some creep a while back. We were held captive until we broke out a few months ago. We got separated and I been trying to find them since." He said. "So the whole crew is here?" Nora ask. "Don't worry we'll help you find them, it best you stay with us." I said. "Cool thanks." He said. "Now with that settle, let hurry on with our mission this way." Olbeck said as he speed ahead. 'Man, does he put crack in his coffee?" Zoey ask. "We have no idea." Ren said. We continue on until we reach a gorge. We saw a partly extended bridge with a large gear.

"Uh Prof are you sure this is the right way?" Pyrrha ask. "Yes, this is odd? The bridge is retracted." Olbeck said as he drank his coffee. "Is there a way across?" Meicoomon ask. "The lever is over there." He said as he point to the other side of the bridge. "Great, so who making the jump?" Nora ask. "Allow me." Sven said as he shot his chains to pull himself across. He then pull the lever as the bridge starts to slowly extends. "So that his semblance?" I ask. "Yes, he call it binding chains. He can use them to do various things." Dorumon said. That when we heard growling. We look to see several beo wolves. "Oh dear." Olbeck said. "Let get them." Nora said. "Doryusen!" I shout as I sent the shock wave at them. "Katana attack!" Ryudamon shout as he shot his blades at them. "Cleansing lance!" Zoey shout as she strike on with a water lance. "X-scratch!" Meicoomon shout as she claw one down. Keisuke has his weapon in sword mode as he slash one in half.

"20 dive!" Zubamon shout as he tackle one off the bridge. Sven was sniping them from the other side of the gorge. "Metal blast!" Dorumon shout as he struck them with the iron balls. Jaune was fighting one off. He cut it down with one running up behind him. "Wall raltz!" Ludomon shout as he slam his shields into the Grimm to stun it. aune quickly cut it head off. "Thanks for the save." He said. "No problem." Ludomon said. Pyrrha was shooting them with her rifle. She then change it into a spear and throw it into one of the beo wolves. Ren use the blades on his guns to dis arm one and shoot it down. Nora fire her grenade launcher to blow them up. The Prof thermos turn into a small cannon as he blast the last one. "Look like that all of them." Ren said. "Quite right, come students we must hurry to the control center." Olbeck said as we cross the bridge. As we continue on I saw Jaune talking with Ludomon.

"Man you guys sure are strong." Ludomon said. 'The others yeah, but not me." Jaune said sadly. Guess he still feeling down about earlier. "What you mean, you handle your self pretty well." Ludomon said. "I don't have much strength. Hiro said I should use the strength in my heart. But I don't think that will work." Jaune said. "Hey man you don't need to be strong to protect others, it you can't attack then be the shield that protect others." Ludomon said. "Be the shield?" Jaune ask. 'That right, see us Ludomons pride ourselves on our powerful defense. It because of this we became the shield to protect those who can't protect themselves." Ludomon said. "You think I can be the shield for my team?" Jaune ask. "Of course Jaune." Ludomon said. "Hey I think were here." Nora said as we came to some ruins. There we see a large device that must be the control center. We notice a red box with a m in a hexagon on it. "So what the problem with this thing?" Zoey sid as Olbeck look it over.

"This box appear to be a sabotage device of some sort. What more is this logo on it. It is the logo of Merlot inc." He said. 'What Merlot inc?" Keisuke said. "It was a company that ran the mountain Glenn settlement before it fell to the Grimm." Olbeck said. 'Then what this doing here?" Sven ask. "I saw something that caught my eye. "What that?" I ask as we walk to a large red crate. 'Could they be transporting the Grimm?" Olbeck ask as we were suddenly surrounded large prey mantis like Grimm. "Mantis huh." Ren said. "Then let not hold back." I said to my fellow tamers. "Digi-modify Digivolvtion!" We shout.

Dorugamon was a larger version of Dorumon. His fur was darker while his paws were white with red claws. He has a white fur collar around his neck as his wings were bigger. Zoey check her D-arc. "[Dorugamon champion level dragon Digimon. With new bound power he'll impale his foes with his power metal attack.]" She said. The insect like Grimm charges at us. "Ryumeisen!" I shout as I draw and sheath my sword as one split in half. "Full body metal!" Ginryumon shout as he shot his spears into a few. "Tricobezoar!" Meicoomon shout as she stun one with a hair ball as Zoey then stab it in the chest. Keisuke was parry one off, as he switch to gun mode and blast it head off. "Vantheon!" Zubaeagermon shout as he spun and cut one down. Jaune was dodging a mantis strikes only for Ludomon to use his shield to block it. Jaune then took it out. Pyrrha turn her weapon into a short sword and cut one down the middle.

Ren was surrounded by 3 of them as he jumps and spin, gunning them down. Nora grins as her weapon became a large hammer. She cries out as she slams it onto the last one crushing it. "Man I hate bugs." Nora said. "We all do." Zoey said. "Well done, I have repair the control center." Obleck said. "Guess were all done now." I said. "I don't think so Statue bomber!" A voice shout as a statue came at us. We were blown off our feet as the Digimon return to normal. We look up to see a large white gargoyle like Digimon in the air. Sven check his D-arc. "[Gargoylemon champion level armor Digimon. He is a familiar of angel based Digimon, he'll protect his master with his Statue bomber attack.]" He said. "Not to mention he like to cheap shot us from behind!" Nora shout. "There are no rules when it come to battle little girl." Gargoylemon said as he land in front of us.

"You pesr got in my master way." He said. His master? "What do you plan to do with the Grimm?' i ask. "Who knows, I was order to gather them, but now I have to deal with all of you." Gargoylemon said as he came at us. But Ludomon got in his way. "Don't worry I'll protect you guys." He said. Gargoylemon look at him. "Wait your one of the run aways. My master have orders to recapture you. But first I think you need a lesson on respecting your betters!" He shout as he swung at Ludomon. But Jaune block him with his shield and got push back. "Jaune!" Ludomon shout concern. Jaune look at the little Digimon and smile. "I thought about what you said about being the shield. I'm weak I can accept that, but that won't stop me. I'll use what ever strength I have to be the shield that protect everyone. And I'll start protecting you my friend." He said as he held his hand to Ludomon. Ludomon grin. "Let protect them together partner." He said as he took Jaune hand.

A ball of light appear in front of Jaune. He touch it as it turn into a white D-arc with a dark gold ring. He became a Tamer. "Jaune !" I shout as I threw him a modify card. "Let go Ludomon." He said. "Right." He said. "Digi-modify Digivolvtion activate!" Jaune shout as he swipe the card through his D-arc.

Ludomon digivolve to Tialudomon

The new Digimon was as tall as Jaune. He was cover in blue and sliver armor. His hands has sharp blue claws with large hexagon shield on the back of his hands. His chest was a wolf head. His head has a sliver horn and hair. I held up my D-arc. "[Tialudomon champion level armor Digimon. With new found speed he quicker to defend his comrades with his Fiskbicker and Assault claw attacks." I said. "That doesn't change anything Statue bomber!" Gargoylemon shout as he shot more statues at Him. Tialudomon quickly held his hands up as a blue barrier appears to protect him and Jaune. When the smoke clear the two of them were ok. "Let finish this." Jaune said. "Your done Assault claw!" Tialudomon shout as he rush at his foe and slab his claw through Gargoylemon before he even knew what hit him. Gargoylemon cries out as data explodes out his back. "Damn you, you may have beaten me, but you won't beat my master." He said as he dissolve into data.

Tialudomon change back to Ludomon. "That was so freaking awesome! You guys were all block and stab and." Nora said. "Nora?" Ren ask getting her attention. "Yes Ren?" She ask by his side. "We get it." He said as she pouts. "Not bad for a newbie." Zoey said. "Guess I got some training to do." Jaune said as he rub the back of his head. "That we do." Ludomon said. "Isn't anyone else worry about what Gargoylemon said?" Keisuke ask. "You mean about this master of his?" Pyrrha ask. "And there the Merlot inc tech on the control center and why they wanted the Grimm for." I said. "All good questions students, let us return to Beacon to discover those answers." Olbeck said. "Right, let head back everyone." I said as we head back to our air ship. Just what did we got ourselves into this time?

Zoey: Who would have thought Vomit boy would be come a Tamer huh. Anyway now we got to head to some ruins to find some dead guy. Next time on Tales of Tamers Xilla: Chapter 9: The collapse. Man this is going to be a pain I know it.

And there you have it folks, Jaune is now a Tamer. He need a little more to him then canon. Now 6 Digimon remain, who will they be partner too. Stay tune to find out. Until then this been Crimson Dragonic blazing out!
