Hi Guys! And girls! And those in between! I bring you a new chapter today, and I have something to say some of you may have noticed.
Semiramis, she will not show up much while in the Sonic-Verse. She will show up in a few things, but she will not be interacting with the Sonic cast… yet. This is for a few reasons, Semiramis is an Assassin at the end of the day, and almost everything in the Sonic-Verse is capable of matching an Assassin Class Servant. Second, Semiramis is far more interested in researching things from the Sonic-Verse then interacting with a bunch of people. Third, do you really think Semiramis is going to go help without a reason?
COMMENTS
Bearticguy7: I do love the IDW Comics, even if some stuff didn't exactly make sense. The Sonic universe will take some stuff from the IDW universe, but not all of it.
Splatoon Characters are strong indeed, and there weakness list is low. If you get them some kind of magic that protects them from water, they'd be near invincible. The Respawn System is… weird, not sure how it'd work realistically and not in a game setting, but it does make them unkillable besides those things you mentioned.
Kitsune Obsessed Freak: Blame auto-correct.
The-Anti-Akuma: I am practicing and trying to improve my grammar, however I can't instantly give you improvement.
ZeroSpearow: Sonic does have a few reasons why he's able to use the Chaos Emeralds, but I'm not going to get into a long explanation here. Akari will gain Chaos Energy manipulation (in this chapter), but she's not just going to instantly be able to use it the moment she grabs a Chaos Emerald. But yes you are correct Akari can drain a Chaos Emerald's energy, she just hasn't though of that, it's a bit boring to have a perfect character who knows everything instantly.
Recruiting Cream, I don't think Akari will fully recruit Cream to fight against the Type-Avatars, but she could be an ally and friend. Perhaps even be a part of "Team Akari"? Yes that will be a thing.
Digi626: I love Sonic, and figured it'd be a good place for Akari to get some neat skills. The Lords of Chaos and Order would just be pure utter confusion at the Chaos Emeralds, but I don't think Akari will need a Chaos Emerald unless for the more advanced stuff like Chaos Control.
DG2: How is this crack? I'm trying to create a semi-serious story here (Can't say a serious story since this is you know, a Gamer fic).
I had spent 2 weeks on Angel Island, and while it was slow, I had managed to increase Knuckles trust in me. I wouldn't say we're great friends, but I think we're at least friends, I had also revealed the Cyan Emerald I had 'found' on the ground, and pretending Eggman had dropped it without knowing. Thankfully Knuckles believed me, and didn't request the emerald back, which did confuse me, and his reasoning even stranger.
"You think this is the first time those Emeralds have ended up in some strangers hands? I find it's best just to let them go wherever they go, they always seem to show up whenever we really need them". That was strange, did the Emeralds have some kind of, pull? Or maybe destiny exists here.
I had of course also spent time exploring the ruins of Angel Island, and it was weird. I found information on the Echidna Clan being split into 2? Along with plenty of stuff on Chaos and the Chaos Emeralds. The most disturbing thing was a wall covered in writing I couldn't understand and my head hurt to even look like, but the skill I gained was the most bone chilling.
{Eldritch Comprehension: Level 7}
The Understanding of the things behind the veil of reality, hidden behind the Eldritch Truth, beware for now the Great Ones hear you.
What in the world? The Echidna Tribe were messing with the Great Ones?! And now they 'hear' me?! What in the world does that even mean?!
Yea, I basically had Gamer's Mind activate a lot, otherwise well I'd be a blubbering crying mess who just hid in a corner. But I'm defiantly a bit more paranoid now, I do not want to deal with Cthulhu.
Other than that? I had gained another skill but…
{Chaos Manipulation: Level 2}
The Power to Manipulate Chaos Energy.
It was, a chore and a half to even get to level 2. It was also nowhere near close enough to use a Chaos Emerald's power, what in the world is so hard with this energy? Quarts had suggested it being my divinity, but I'm pretty sure multiple gods had used chaos energy in the past, so it shouldn't be my issue. I guess is will just be lots of time to level up
All in all, I had a strange but mostly pleasant experience on Angel Island, but it's time to go. I had talked to Knuckles saying I was leaving and his reaction was just, cya. Guess he wasn't fond of big goodbyes. So I just, left, flew away to wherever I find next.
I had left early morning, but by the time I had found land, it was night with the moon high in the sky. Something felt off, but I wasn't sure what, was something watching me? Staring down at the land, I couldn't see any hints of civilization, guess I'd be sleeping in the woods. I flew down and landed on a rather large tree.
What I didn't expect however, was for the tree to start shaking! I flew into the air and turned to stare, and something inside my screamed at the sight of it.
It resembled a titanic tree, however there was purple eyes across it, oozing a glowing green liquid that looked way to similar to some type of blood. A part of its trunk cracked and tore open to reveal a mouth with sharp teeth and a tongue composed of purple slime. Its roots ripped themselves out of the ground and formed into some type of tentacle legs while it's leafs turned a disgusting lime shade of green.
I cast observe and I was confused.
Artificial Dark Gaia Ent.
Artificial re-creation of Dark Gaia's energy, infused into a nature spirit and turned into an abomination. Now it only seeks to devour the life-force of others.
DEVOUR THE LIGHT!
Artificial Dark Gaia? Okay this was defiantly new, and what's with devour the light thing? Did this thing react to me? Guess it was time for my second boss fight in the Sonic-Verse!
The Ent roared and sent a wave of roots towards me, I flew to the left to dodge and fired a beam of light towards it. It simply opened its mouth and ate my attack!? What in the world? I was too shocked to react as a root slammed into me and sent me flying.
Okay, so instead of being super-effective, it just ate my light attacks? Let's see how it likes a few fireballs, I quickly fired 3 of them towards the Ent, and it just ate them again! Was ranged just useless against it?
Looking about, I checked for anyone to be looking or watching. Seems it was just me and Ent, taking a deep breath and closing my eyes, I opened them to be now glowing pink.
"Mystic Eyes of Roses…". I chanted as I activated the effect of my Mystic Eyes, and stared directly into the Ent's own eyes, only to discover something I should've expected. "It has no soul? Of course I'm not going to be that lucky". Should I use Nega-Keraunos? I have no idea how a godly authority would be reacted to here, and I couldn't just pass it off as another form of magic if anyone here detected the divinity within it (This also implied to my own divinity, but a godly authority was different from a bit of divine blood), I could be in trouble. Best to save that as a last resort.
It seemed to absorb my attacks by eating them, so maybe if I hit a spot it in a way it couldn't just eat it. To test this, I created 8 spears of fairy magic, and sent them around the Ent, and brought them all towards it at the same time. While the Ent managed to eat 3 of the spears, the rest hit it and dealt some minor damage.
It had around 8 eyes, so destroying those should at least leave it blind if not dead. I formed 2 magic needles, while spreading a mist of fairy magic around the area in order to hide myself from its vision. While it was looking around wildly, I sent my needles towards one of the eyes, piercing through it and causing it to… pop? Into an explosion of more green goop, disgusting!
The Ent started thrashing about wildly, sending trees flying into the air. Dammit, now I couldn't aim as well! If I used God's Ray, I could probably destroy the Ent in a single attack, but I'd probably be left helpless after. There's also the risk of it just eating it.
I had to fly through the trees sent into the air, struggling to keep an eye on them and the Ent. Wasn't there some spell from Fate that let you have multiple thoughts in your head or something? Should look into that later, if I survive this Ent (as a last resort, I can always just jump dimensions).
I fired 8 beams of light towards a single eye on its back, managing to destroy it. However the Ent was prepared this time and opened its mouth, firing a wave of darkness towards me. I didn't have time to react and was hit, this was the first time I experienced I debuff.
{Dark Gaia Curse}
The Energy of Dark Gaia, formed into a curse.
-Weakens the power of all Light based moves and spells by 80%.
Duration: Permeant till purified.
Gah, a permeant debuff?! How do I purify it Quarts?!
[A Bath infused with light energy, but we can't do that right now. Destroy the Ent then we can focus on removing the curse]
Least I didn't turn into a moth werewolf fusion, cool as the werehog was, it just didn't sound cool as Weremoth. But there goes all my light attacks, which were my fastest attacks considering you know, light. The Ent had 6 eyes remaining, I'm decently sure I could defeat it. I created around 20 magic needles in the air, and sent them flying towards the Ent, most were blocked by roots or even the Ents tongue, however I did managed to get at least 3 of the eyes.
However, I was starting to run low on magic. Which confused me, my dragon core produced tons of magic and the divinity only boosted that. I had only casted spells which didn't use lots of energy, even my Mystic Eyes weren't extremely draining on my magic, well it was, but I only really used them to see if the Ent had a soul, which wasn't that draining. Was the Ent somehow draining my magic while fighting? Was it the curse?
Just 3 more eyes, I used {Determination} and rushed flying towards an eye, forming a magic needle in a more spear like shape, I stabbed forward and destroyed the eye, getting some of the goop on me but a minor issue for now. I flew towards the next eye, only thanks to the {Determination} being able to dodge the tentacles and roots trying to swat me out of the air.
I however did manage to pierce another eye with my needle spear, which generated a new skill or more, added a new option to an existing one.
{Magic Needle: Level 29}
Creates Needles of pure magic, and fire them at your enemies.
Also possible to create Magic Spears.
Okay useful, but not the most important thing right now. This message did distract me long enough for a root to slam me away, hitting the ground with a rough landing. My {Determination} faded away a few seconds after, but it gave me enough time to get up and ready. The Ent had only 1 eye left, I could do this!
However, my magic was very low at this point. But luckily fate seemed on my side, I had landed near a small lake and the corrupted tree was approaching. Waving my hand, I sent a wave of water spears towards the Ent, I just kept firing more and more spears, slowly overwhelming it. Finally however, I managed to get the final blow, and the final eye went squash.
The Dark Gaia Ent started shaking and screeching, and before my eyes it started falling apart into rotted wood. It fell apart, leaking vile green glowing goop everywhere. Thinking quickly I spent some credits and brought 50 glass bottles, and gathered as much of the vile goop as I could.
Dark Gaia Blood.
The Blood of Dark Gaia, it has highly corruptive qualities.
Beware interaction, may have side effects.
Worried, I looked over myself. My divinity would protect me from the corruptive qualities of the blood that hit me right? Dear Mothra I hoped it did. I used water magic to start clearing away the blood, and using fire to burn away the rotted wood.
Hidden Quest Revealed!
Name: Dark Corruptions.
Requirement: Destroy the Artificial Dark Gaia Ent, or purify it.
Reward: 5000 Kills towards the Dead Apostle Ancestry Quest, 3 Rare Gacha Tokens, 1000 Credits, and 3 Primordial Darkness Energy Crystals.
Status: Complete.
A hidden quest? Didn't think those existed, I won't complain for the help with the Dead Apostle quest, and Gacha is always nice. But what are primordial crystals?
Primordial Darkness Energy Crystal (3).
The purest form of pure darkness, only able to be wielded by the darkest entities in the multiverse.
Purest Darkness? I'm not sure that's a good idea to be messed with. Anyway, I should probably clear away the curse on me, and I have a lake nearby so…
I started using my Lumokinesis and Faekinesis to start purifying the lake, taking longer than usual because of my light's weakened abilities. But eventually, I managed to purify the water and removed my debuff. I also gathered some of the now Holy Water and put it into the many glass bottles I brought earlier.
I bathed for a while, stripping down, after putting up some fairy magic barriers around the pond, and just cleaned myself up while purifying myself. The holy water would revert back to normal water after it was dirtied enough, so it'd turn back in a few hours, but till then it was perfectly clean and even cleaner than normal water.
Eventually, I had to get out of the water and get dressed again. I should defiantly create a spell that cleans me immediately, as much as I enjoy a bath sometimes I need to be quick. Honestly I wasn't sure what to do next, it start still rather dark. I guess I'll just have to skip sleep tonight and keep walking.
Why did I have a feeling that something bad is going to happen?
In another place, in perhaps another time, in perhaps another reality…
He watched, he watched as she over-came trials, however she wasn't ready, not just yet.
He had seen THEM bring countless tragedy, had seen many heroes fall, and had even seen them become the very monsters they strived to stop.
How many times had it been now? How many timeline resets? He was so old, far older then even his appearance suggested. But he couldn't rest, not until he was sure this world line was the right one.
He gazed at different screens, each showing a different figure.
The first was a young girl, oh so plain in appearance, but with a brilliant mind and an unshakable will. She had gained the loyalty of many servants, and had even been the only one the King of Heroes ever truly called Master. Besides the girl was 4 figures.
A stunning woman dressed in a beautiful gown, roses falling around her while she held a dazzling blade.
A woman with fox-like features, equally stunning as the other before her. She may appear as mortal, but she was one of the divine.
A dark skinned woman, more a child in her current form. While her current state did not inspire anything grand, this was the scourge of god who once heralded the Umbral Star.
And a man with hair both white and black, who held an eager smile. He may have been born of mere fantasy, but his ideals and life were both very real.
After looking at that image, He then swapped his gaze to the next, and couldn't help a fond smile at one of them.
The first was a young man, hair red with golden eyes, he wielded 2 blades, one of light and one of dark. He had fought the King of Heroes to a standstill, and even his own future self, overcoming the fate written for him. Besides him where 3 woman.
A girl with long pigtails and a superior look on her face, but he knew this was simply her way of trying to protect herself. She held talent, such that he had taken her on as an apprentice many times.
Next was a purple haired girl, her body once corrupted by those foul worms, but now pure and absolutely overflowing with mana. She was important, one of the few things able to control all the world's evils.
The last girl, she was wearing armour but her feminine figure could not be hidden. She wielded the sword that had once saved the world, but its power alone wasn't enough, it never was.
As he finished staring at those 2 images, his sight finally went to the third. It shifted constantly, once it was a young man of similar appearance to the fantasy king, next she was a young girl with startlingly close features to the hero of false blades. Many other faces appeared on, but those 2 were the most common.
"I wonder, will she be able to help you alter your final fates? Sovereign of the Moon? Hero of Wrought Iron? And Saviour of Humanity? Oh wait no, that title is no longer correct… Destroyer of Worlds". Again the man smiled, what a silly though, Destroyer of Worlds? Those people had seen nothing of a true destroyer.
Perhaps this timeline would finally be the one, and then he could at last rest.
Who created the Artificial Dark Gaia Ent? And are there more Artificial Dark Gaia beasts out there?
Will Akari have side effects from Dark Gaia's Blood? It is a primordial entity after all, above even Mothra…
Who was the mysterious man at the end? And what connection does he have to those figures? Perhaps you shall see later.
