Hello and welcome back to the3 next chapter of Tales of Tamers Xilla! We are getting closer to the end of the Merlot arc. After wards we can do the rest of Volume 2. Let get to the chapter. Recap

Last time on Tales of Tamers Xilla: The gang were able to make it back to the surface and enter the Forever falls. They continue their hunt for Merlot was they split to cover more ground. Each of the groups ran into the Grimm as they travel the forest, while Ryo group ran into a mutant beo wolf that was no match for Cyberdramon. Meanwhile Team Jnpr found the next of the runaways Falcomon. He was trying to find his dear friend Biyomon, hearing this Ren offer to aid the Digimon. Everyone regroup as Falcomon told them of a temple that would lead them to a cargo ship. Once there they ran into a Buraimon that trap every one except for Team Jnpr and Falcomon. Ren and Falcomon desire to protect their friends allow them to become partners. Falcomon digivolve to Peckmon and defeated Buraimon. From there the gang hitch a ride on the ship as it sail to Merlot base of operations.

Chapter 12

The island of Dr. Merlot

Normal PoV: In the lair of the Grimm queen. Salem sat on a throne as the shadow Digimon stood next to her. Suddenly a shadow raise from the from the floor. it took the form of a wolf head with dozen of red eyes on it. "Ah Shademon, what do you have to report?" The figure ask. "My lord, I have reports from the generals. Myotismon reported that the operation at Mountain Glenn is going as plan. Also Sinclair has arriver to help over see the sight." He said. 'Good, were lucky that the Tamers didn't discover what were up to their when they were there. And Sinclair arrival should help Roman to stay on track." Salem said. "Agreed, contiue Shademon." The figure said. "Piedmon is in Atlas searching for the Winter maiden, but she is appear to be well hidden. Mepistomon is searching for Summer in Vacuo, while Kerpymon is still looking for your prize." Shademon said.

'And what of Dominonmon and Datamon?" The figure ask. 'Dominonmon is over seeing the church as you requested master. And Datamon is still working on the Island along with Parallelmon." Shademon said. 'And what of the Tamers?" Salem ask. "There currently enroute to Merlot island." Shademon said. "I see that will be enough, return to your post." The figure said as the shadow sank into the floor. 'The Tamers are heading for Merlot Island huh." Salem said. 'Yes, they have destroy many of my soldiers in the past few days. But they are no threat to us at the moment, I sure Parallelmon and Datamon can handle it. If not at least they can deal with our loose end." He said. "Agreed, Merlot is a dangerous factor that will ruins my plans." Salem said. "Yes, it a shame, if we could find a way to control the mutant Grimm they would be quite useful to us. But at last it simply a pipe dream. Best to simply cut our loses." He said.

Takato PoV: It been a couple of hours since we board the ship. Most of us were resting to recover from the constant fights we were in. 'Man I'm so bored!" Nora shout as she lay her head on Ren lap. "What did you expect when we enter a metal box to get on board a freaking cruise." Rika said as she and Ruby were tuning their weapons. "And there the fact we have no idea where were going." Blake said. "There appear to be a lot of tension in here Takato." Moeru Ryu said. Tell me about it. I look over to see Zubamon, Palmon, Lunamon, Ludomon and Falcomon talking. "I can't believe Bearmon stay behind to help you escape." Zubamon said. "It how he is, he'll do what ever it take for his friends." Falcomon said. "If you guys don't mind me asking what are the rest off your group is like?" I ask. "Well Bearmon he can be a joker but always look out for us since he the oldest of us. I just wish he would stop making bad jokes." Zubamon said as he shook his head.

"He must be un-bear-able." Yang said as we all sigh. "Then there Fanbeemon, that bug remind me of Weiss, always so stuck up and thinking she better than us." Ludomon said. "I'm not stuck up!" Weiss shout. "Yes, you are." Jerico said. "Stud it or I turn you into an ice cube flame brain!" She shout. "Then we have Biyomon a bit of a wild bird that always looking for trouble. Only Falcomon can keep her in line." Zubamon said. "Really now, I want to met her." Nora said as she grin. 'Next is Herissmon, the youngest and the cutest of us. He the nicest Digimon you would ever meet." Palmon said. 'Lastly we have our hot head of the group Vorvomon. Let me tell you there noting that won't set him off." Ludomon said. "There only 5 of them left to find and Bearmon is at Merlot base." I said. "Let hope we find him in time and the others too." Elize said. Suddenly we felt the box swift. 'Look like were here." Ryo said as we open the box to see were on the shore of an Island.

He jump to the shore. "Were on an island." Keisuke said. "Look like it, Takato we should call Prof. Olbeck." Pyrrha said. "I pull out my scroll. "Prof Olbeck come in, can you heard us?" I ask. But all I got was static. "It no use, we can't get ss signal." Sven said. 'Hey what about that tower, we could use it to boost the signal." Ruby said. We look to see where she was pointing to. There was a large tower in the distance. "Good idea Ruby." Yang said as she pat her on the back. "Ok let go guys." I said as we start to head inland. But once we try to leave the beach something jump out at us. It was a pair of red robots. They were arm with a duel blade spears. On their chest was Merlot logo. "Look like we got the welcoming party." Koga said as the robots came at us. Ruby aim at the first one as she shot it taking off it right arm. She shot again hitting it in the side. She then slash it in half as it got close. Kenji then threw his sword and impale the second through the chest. He grab it and shot a hole through it.

"Nice work." he said to Ruby who blush. "Thank you, you were great too." She said. Jerico kneel down to the robots. 'Hm they look like Atlas tech, quite similar to the Atlas knights." He said. "Chances are there probably more of them running around." Jaune said. "Yeah, let stay on guard as we head to that tower." I said as we move on. It didn't take us long to reach the tower. We found the control panel. I found a sliver box on it and pull it out. I then pull my scroll. "Students are you there?" Olbeck ask through the static. "We were here sir." I said. "Good ... hard to hear you. ... What ever your did keep it up ... trying to pin point your location." He said. "Right call you when the static clears." I said as I hang up. "I think I can see two more towers in the distance." Blake said. "Let get to work, the sooner we get done the sooner we can leave." Weiss said as we got moving. As we walk I thought about everything we encounter so far.

Were attack by several Digimon as we try to find Merlot. Could he be the doctor that aid the attack on Spiritius. What do you think Ryu? "Not sure, it possible a powerful Digimon is helping him. But question is who and why?" He ask. Yes, there are hundreds of Digimon out their, trying to figure out what were up against isn't going to be easy. We soon came to the second tower. Keisuke then took off the device. "Ok the signal should be clearer." I said. "But not enough for us to sent our location." Alice said. "Let take out the last tower." I said. But then we heard a noise. We look to see what it is. We saw it was a small black bear like Digimon wearing a blue baseball hat. Ren check his D-arc. "[Bearmon rookie level beast Digimon. This bear can be cute and fierce as he knock you out with his bear fist attack.]" He said. "Bearmon." Zubamon said. "Zubamon that you, your looking sharp as ever." Bearmon said with a grin. Yang start to laugh. "Good one teddy bear." She said. "Finally someone get it." Bearmon said. "While that another one down." Koga said.

'Glad to know that your ok my friend." Falcomon said. "Hey, someone have to cover you guys as you make a break for it. Beside I get sea sick." Bearmon said as he stuck his tongue out. 'Focus please." Weiss said. 'Man, who put ice in your panties." He said as Weiss blush. Yang burst out laughing as she hug her side. "Oh I like you." She said. "Thanks, anyway after the others got away, I book it to avoid getting caught. Been messing with these tin cans and weird Digimon ever since." Bearmon said. 'Well we'll get you out of here, but first we need to reach that last tower." I said. "Then we can find Merlot." Pyrrha said. "Well the tower is not far from here just up[ the path. As for this Merlot guy, I might know where he is." Bearmon said. 'You do?" Jaune ask. "Yeah, past the tower is a weird place with a lot of pipes. There a building beyond that." Bearmon said. "Well then my new furry pal lead the way." Yang said. "Sure thing Goldie locks follow me." He said as he lead us down the path. It didn't take us long to reach the last tower. Keisuke disable the last device. I then took out my scroll as I got a call.

'Hello students, welcome to my island. It been a while since I have guest and well your the first." a voice said. "Dr. Merlot I presume?" I ask. "Indeed I am Prince Takato Outway of Spyros." He said. "He know you?" Ryo ask surprise. That make two of us. "I know all of you thanks to my new allied. I been watching you children since you came to my company building in Mountain Glenn." Merlot said. "And I see you haven't change a bit Merlot." Ozpin voice said. "Oz old chump it been a while. I doubt you came to chat about old times." Merlot said. "Hardly, I'm surprise your still alive. I was sure you perish with Mountain Glenn, that you cause with your reckless experiments." Ozpin said. 'Please my work was to help the Grimm evolve as a life form. And if anyone reckless it you Oz. Sending your students to my island. Now they must pay for it." Merlot said as we were surrounded by Grimm. Take them down!" I shout as the Grimm came at us.

"Slash wing!" I shout as I quickly cut down a beo wolf. "Rock breaker!" Guilmon shout as he smash his claw on one. "Frost fang!" Rika shout as she froze one with and ice arrow. She then took out one of her keys. "Open gate of the golden bull Taurus!" She shout as the cow man appear. "Moo you call?" He ask as he look at Yang. "Damn what a hottie." He said. "Do your job!" Rika shout. "Right." He said as he slam his ax onto an ursa. "Power paw!" Renamon shout as she punches one. "Deadly gaze!" Elize shout as she sent a barrage of dark lasers at a group. "Tear shoot!" Lunamon shout as she hit a creeper. Kenji look to see a king Tajisu coming at him. He smirk as his sword glows a sliver light. He swung it to fire a blade of light to cut it in half. "Teen ram!" Hackmon shout as he tackle into one. Ryo form his staff and Wack a boaratusk away. "Beat knuckle!" Monodramon shout as he punch a beo wolf in the face.

Alice whip her sword around a mantis and ccut it in half at the waist. "Black beam!" Dobermon shout as he blast a Grimm. Jerico use his swords to slice down a pair of nevermore. "Pepper breath!" Agumon shout as he blast one. Koga spun himself through a group to take them apart. "Blue blaster!" Gabumon shout as he shot a creeper. "Ryusosen!" Hiro shout as he deliver a barrage strike to a few. "Katana attack!" Ryudamon shout as he cut one down. "Whirling top!" Zoey shout as she spun and slash an ursa. "Tricobezoar!" Meicoomon shout as she hit one with a hair ball. Keisuke shot down a nevermore while Zubamon use his 20 dive to tackle a creeper. Sven swung his halberd and behead a beo wolf. "Metal blast!" Dorumon shout as he shot iron balls at a group. "Poison ivy!" Palmon shout as she hold down an boaratusk so Ruby could shoot it down. Weiss made a glyph that stop a mantis while Blake came in and took it head off. "Cat gaze!" Blackgatomon shout as she shot her eye beam at one. Yang slam her fist into a beo wolf that sent it to Bearmon. "Bear fist!" He shout as he punch it into the ground.

Jaune slide under one and slash it down. "Wall raltz!" Ludomon shout as he tackle a creeper. Pyrrha stab her spear into a boaratusk back. Ren fires on a beo wolf to stun it. "Ninja blade!" Falcomon shout as he threw his ninja stars to finish it. Nora fire on the last of them. "Damn Grimm." Rika said. "It good to hear from you Ozpin." I said into my scroll. "You as well Mr. Outway. Were lucky we made contact with you when we did. Now I hope your ready." He said. "What the plan?" Ruby ask. "Simple, find Merlot lab, once inside find a terminal for Miss Mishima to access his files. Then capture Merlot." He said. "Will do sir." I said as I hung up. "Let go guys." I said as we continue on. It was getting dark by the time we came to a strange area. I look like a pipe line that was pulling up some kind of green ooze. There was so much of it, it was leaking out of the ground. "Gross what is this shit?" Zoey ask. "It smell funny." Teepo said. "What ever it is, it not good." Hiro said. "By the look of it, Merlot is harvesting it. I bet if we follow the pipe well find the lab." I said as we keep moving.

As we walk I notice Yang and Bearmon were chatting it up. "Wow little bear your a strong one huh." She said. "You think yang? I wasn't always , I only became strong to help my clan." He said. "Your clan?" She ask. "Yeah, we were a traveling clan of beast type Digimon led by Dorulumon. He was so strong, no one could beat him. I wanted to be like him. But then our clan was destroy because I pick a fight with a Skullgreymon. Because I wasn't strong enough." Bearmon said sadly. Yang pat him on the back. "Don't let it get to you. We all made mistakes, I should know because I made one when I was a kid. If you want to become strong Bearmon, then you need a reason to be strong and to find those to be strong for." Yang said with a smile. "Someone to be strong for." He said as we came to a large building bulit into the mountain. "Guess this is the place." Ryo said. "So, how do we get inside?" Blake ask. "Doubt we can ask nicely." Kenji said.

"Well. well student I see that you made it this far." Merlot said from the intercom. "So doc, care to let us in or do we have to knock?" Jerico ask. "Sorry my boy, but you all will have to play outside." He said as the ground around us and drop down into a pit. Only Yang and Bearmon avoid it. "You guys ok?" She ask. "Were fine, we'll find a way to climb up." Ruby said. "You have more then that to worry about." A voice said. "We turn to see a large boar that was cover in flames facing Yang and Bearmon. Keisuke check his D-arc. "[Boarmon champion level armor Digimon. This pig mean trouble when he use his nose blaster attack.]" He said. "Isn't it my lucky day the Tamers this will be fun." Boarmon said as he stomp his hoof. "Bring it on little piggie." Yang said as she activate her weapons. "Please ya bimbo, you think you and that weak little furball can take me on." he said. Yang shot a blast at him forcing him back. "Don't call him that you over grown piece of bacon!" She shout as she look to Bearmon.

"Listen to me Bearmon, your not weak, it like I said you can be strong if you have something to fight for." She said. Bearmon clench his fist as he gave her a determined look. "Then I'll fight ffor you and the others Yang because your my friend." He said. "Then let show porky here how strong we are." She said as they fist bumb. A ball of light appear in front of her. Yang touch it was it turn into a gold D-arc with a purple ring. "Yo blondie kick his ass!" Zoey shout as she toss her a card. "Thank pinkie, et rock Bearmon." She said. "Right." He said. "Digi-modify Digivolvtion activate!" She shout as she swipe the card.

Bearmon digivolve to Grizzlymon

Grizzlymon was a large purple bear with white fur around his neck and red claw gloves on his front legs. Rika wwent to check her D-arc. "[Grizzlymon champion level Beast Digimon. Now this bear you don't want to mess with unless you want to see his maul attack.]" She said. "Like that will stop me Nose blaster!" Boarmon shout as he shot flames from his nose. They jump back to avoid the flames as Grizzlymon charges at the pig. His front claws start to glows purple. "Maul attack!" He shout as he slams his claws against Boarmon to forces him back. "Gah you wil-" He stop as he saw Yang was right in his face. A mad grin paster her face. "Your going out with a big Yang!" She shout as she land a explosive fist to his face and blast him into the pool of green ooze. He cries out as he was dissolve into data. We use this to climb out as Grizzlymon turn back to normal. "Man that shit is toxic." Kenji said. "That was so awesome, Yang a Tamer now." Ruby said as she hug Yang. "Well guess I'm in for a Taming off a time." Yang joke. We all sigh. "Anyway we should find a way inside." Ren said. "But how?" Elize ask. Suddenly the door to the lab opens. "That was too easy." Jaune said.

"What you think we walking into a trap?" Ryo ask. "Oh yeah, but we came this far no point in giving up now. So, let not keep the good doctor waiting." I said as we head in side the lab to confront Dr. Merlot.

Weiss: Finally, we get to put an end to this whole ordeal. But as always it not going to be easy for us. Next time on Tales of Tamers Xilla: Chapter 13: Merlot inc. Let hope we get through this alive.
