Last time on Tales of Tamers Xilla: The gang were taking it easy at the school preparing for the dance that night. Kenji was able to work up the courage to ask Ruby to the dance despite her nervousness. Once the dance got started everyone was enjoying themselves as Jerico and Koga were appeared to be getting closer to Yang and Weiss. Mean while Ruby and Kenji were unable to talk to each other. But then Kenji got the idea to sing a song to Ruby as they soon confess their feeling to each others. But it soon became short live, when Sven alerted them about an mask woman breaking into the CCT tower. They confronted her, she soon escape not knowing what she was really after.

Chapter 16

The hunt is on

Takato PoV: It was a few days since the dance. We told Ozpin and Ironwood about what happen at the CCT. They said they'll look into who that woman was and figure out what she wanted. Could she be the one working with the Digimon? Right now, my team along with Teams Rwby and Jakr were in the grand hall looking for a mission that would get us to the Mountain Glenn. From there we can start looking for the white fang. Team Jnpr and Hasz already left on mission. "Oh, how about this one?" Ruby ask as she point at one on the mission list. I came over to look it over. "Search and destroy, it said there been a increase of Grimm in the area. And it near where we want to go." I said. "Then let sigh ourselves up." Jerico said as we type in our teams name but only got an error. "That not good." Monodramon said. "Is something wrong students?" Ozpin ask as he came over. "You see sir." I said nervously.

He look at the mission. "Hm, this mission isn't for first years. From what I know of this area was reported of strange actity. But I doubt that will stop you kids. So i stead of breaking the rules let just bend them." He said as he tap on his scroll and our request was approve. "Sir?" Rika ask confuse. "I have faith that you will do the right thing Miss Stellar." He said as he walk away. "Well that went better then I thought." Kenji said. "Yeah, let grab our bags and head for the landing pad." I said as we got out side. Once we got to the landing pad, we saw a group of students coming in. The first was a girl with short brown hair. She wore long sleeve brown shirt with black skirt along with long black boots. She has a black beret on her head and sunglasses. She is Coco. The second was a girl with long brown hair with brown rabbit ears. She wore a brown is Velvet the rabbit girl Zoey help a while back.

The 3rd was a boy with dark skin. He has red hair and white eyes showing him to be blind. He wore a red shirt and black pants. On his arms were long red blades. This was Fox. The last one was a large boy with short black hair. He wore bronze armor and on his back was a large sword. He was Yasuhashi, together they are Team Cfvy. "Velvet!" Ruby shout greeting the rabbit girl. "Oh, hello Ruby." She said clearly worn out. "You look tire." Blake said. "Yeah, we just have to deal with quite a bit of Grimm." Velvet said. " Man, it was that rough huh?" Ryo ask. "Don't worry you be fine, you all be shadowing a huntsman." Velvet said. "Of course they will Vel. These Spyros kids are pretty good." Coco said as she tilt her sunglasses down. "You know us?" Rika said. "Of course little red, we saw you initiation. Must say I like what I saw, hope you guys made it into the tournament." She said as they walk away. "They seem nice." Elize said. "And cool too." Teepo said. "That Team Cfvy for you always known to show off." Yang said.

"Ah there you are students." Said Prof Olbeck as he came by. "So, you're the Huntsman we'll be shadowing?" I ask. "Indeed Mr. Outway. we'll be heading back to Mountain Glenn." He said. "Let hope we don't run into any more mutant Grimm." Weiss said. "Shouldn't be the case now that Merlot dead." Kenji said. I notice that Ruby backpack was moving. I raise an eyebrow. "Say Ruby, what in the bag?" I ask as she look nervous. "Nothing." She said as a black and white corgi pop out. "Puppy!" Elize said as she knell down to pet it. "A Zwei!" Ruby shout. "A dog?" Koga ask. "He our pet from home. He came in the mail this morning. Our dad ask us to watch him for a few days." Yang said. "He sent a dog in the mail? How in the hell is that possible?" Ryo ask. "That what I said." Blake said as she hide behind me. "Not a fan of dogs Blake." I said with a smirk as she glare at me. "Were about to go on a dangerous mission and you brought your dog?" Olbeck ask. "Yes." Ruby said worry.

"Genus Miss Rose! A canine was always use to hunt dangerous animals and such. He'll be a great help with the mission as well will the Digimon. Now let us be off." He said as we board the airship. A few hours later we landed in Mountain Glenn. It been sometime since we been here. Let hope we can find a lead to figure out what going on. "Mountain Glenn, still hard to believe a tradigy like this happen." Olbeck said as we look around the ruin city. "Make you wonder if anyone made it out in time." Alice said as she grab Ryo hand. "The Grimm are monster, they don't leave survivors." Kenji said strangely. I look to see Ruby dog Zwei walk to a tree to bark at it. "What wrong boy a cat stuck in the tree." Yang joke as Blake glare at her partner. "Stop at once you vile mutt or I shall sting you!" A female voice shout from the tree. "I don't think that a cat." Jerico said as we gather around the tree. "Come out." I said.

"1st call off you mutt." She said. "Zwei here boy." Ruby said as the corgi went to her feet. A figure drop out of the tree. It was a large yellow bee with blue eyes and antenna. It has four legs and spikes on it tail. Elize held up her D-arc. "[Fanbeemon rookie level insect Digimon. As part of the royal hive she will defend it with her Gear stinger attack.]" She said. "Fanbeemon!" Palmon shout as the insect frowns at her. "Oh it you Palmon, and I see that Lunamon and Bearmon are with you." Fanbeemon said. "Yep, we also found Ludomon and Falcomon, plus Zubamon here too." Bearmon said. "And what of the others Herissmon, Biyomon and Vorvomon?" Fanbeemon ask. "No sigh of them yet" Palmon said. "I see, I swear I'm the only one in our group that have any brains." Fanbeemon said as she shake her head. "Still stuck up as always honey comb. Your as bad as ice cream here." Bearmon said as he point at Weiss. "Hey!" The Schee girl shout.

Fanbeemon look at Weiss with a look of interest as she floated over to her. She start to look her over. "Hmm your stance and posture show you are a form of nobility." She said. Weiss puff out her chest. "I'm not sure you can call my family noble, but I do come from a wealthy family that run the largest dust company in the world. So there are standing that I must up hold." She said. "So must I for I'm the princess of my hive, perhaps you like to be friends it would be nice being with those of better status." She said as she held her leg to Weiss. Weiss smile at her. Didn't think she was capable of it. "Of course I would like that." Weiss said as she shake hands with the Digimon. "Now with that settle let continue before things get - Grimm." Oobleck said as he stop. We look to see a group of Grimm coming at us. "Show time Rising fang!" I shout as I slash one down. "Pyro sphere!" Guilmon shout as he shot a energy ball at one.

"Thunder pierce!" Rika shout as she hit a boaratusk with a lighting shot. "Diamond storm!" Renamon shout as she shot down a flock of nevermores. "Teepo copter!" Elize shout as she attack one a mantis from above. "Tear shoot!" Lunamon shout as she shot one. Kenji rotate his sword chamber and shot a Grimm with an Ice round. "Teen ram!" Hackmon shout he slam into one. Ryo dodge a attack from a ursa he jump onto it back and blow it head off. "Beat knuckle!" Monodramon as he punch a beowolf. Alice swung her whip sword to take off a beowolf legs, and then stab it in the head. Dobermon jump onto to a creeper to maul it down. Jerico cut a beowolf into fourths with his swords. "Pepper breath!" Agumon shout as he blast one with a fire ball. Koga use his semblance to take out a few creepers. "Blue blaster!" Gabumon shout as he shot down a nevermore. Ruby use her scythe to propel herself at an ursa and cut it in half. "Poison ivy!" Palmon shout as she grab a boaratusk and threw it into a building.

Weiss form a black glyph under a creeper to hold it down with gravity. "Allow me Weiss, Gear stinger!" Fanbeemon shout as she shot her stinger to finish the Grimm. "Not bad." Weiss said impress. Blake threw her sickle to hook into a building. She then swung herself to slam her feet into a beowolf. "Cat gaze!" Blackgatomon shout as she shot a Grimm with an eye blast. Yang fire 3 shots into a boaratusk to stun it. "Bear fist!" Bearmon shout as he finish it off. "That appear to be all of them." Alice said. "Maybe we should spilt up in case there more." I said. "Indeed." Olbeck said. A while later my Team and I were finish taking out another group. "A moment off your time students." Olbeck said. "Oh what is it Prof?" Elize ask. "I was wondering what is your reason for you all wanting to become huntsmen?" He ask. I cross my arms. "That a tough one, for me I wanted to become strong to avenge my mother death. But then I realize there more to life then revenge. Now I use my strength to fight for what right." I said.

"I see, Miss Stellar?" He ask. "Because my mom was a huntress. When I was a child, she told me of her adventures. I wanted to be just like her. So here I am." Rika said. "What about you Miss Lutus?" Olbeck ask. "For most of my life I was afraid to do anything. But then I met my friends and they gave me the strength to fight. So I will do the same for others." She said. "An admirable reason, and you Mr. Chrome?" He ask. Kenji sigh. "I just want to live my life the way I want. Not by others wishes, no one tell me my destiny." He said. "Interesting, oh dear it appear we have more Grimm." Olbeck said as he sped off. "It going to be a long day." Rika said. "That it is love." I said as we charge at the Grimm. Koga PoV: I duck under a beowolf strike and stab my claw into it gut and then tore it in half. "Maan these guys are annoying." I said. I look to see Weiss was talking to Fanbeemon. "Look like you too are getting along." I said.

"Yes indeed, Fanbeemon and I have several traits in common." She said. "It is quite to have someone I can actually have a conversation with." Fanbeemon said. "Ah there you are Mr. Okami, I was hoping to have a word with you." Olbeck said as he came over out of no where. "What up?" I ask. "I was wondering why you wish to become a huntsman?" He ask. "Oh that, well it a personal reason. It to bring that man to justice for what he did." I said as I narrow my eyes and look to the sky. "That man who?" Weiss ask. I sigh and look at her. "It good your here, it best that you heard this too Weiss. You see about 5 years ago a large dust deposit was discover in Vacuo." I said. "Yes, I remember that, it was one of the largest deposits that was ever found. My father went to Vacuo himself to mine it. But there was a tribe of Faunus that stop him." She said. "Yes my tribe, my family look over the Shade school for several generations. My father was in charge at that time." I said.

"Jacques Schee came to him with the intention of buying the mine from us since it was on our lands. He even offer to hire any Faunus in the area to work in it. But my father knew better then to trust him. He call Jacques out on his hit, knowing how he treat his workers. Jacques said that my father will regret his choice. A few days later we came under attack by bandits and father was kill. We capture one of them to learn they were from the Branwen tribe. he told us that the Schee dust company hire them!" I shout as I punch a rock with enough force to shatter it. "Koga?" Gabumon ask worry. "I'm fine, anyway my mother and I put it together, Jacques kill my father. Since then I swear I will bring him down." I said. I felt Weiss hand on my shoulder. "I'm truly sorry for your lost." She said. I grab her hand. "Don't be, I don't hate you nor your family, only your father." I said as I flash her a wolf like grin. "I think your pretty cool no pun intended." I said.

She blush. "Thanks." She said. "You have made a true friend Weiss. Your lucky being the daughter of my hive queen, most Digimon believe me to be some spoiled princess." Fanbeemon said. Weiss pat her on the head. "Don't listen to them, just because your from a important family doesn't mean you have to be what they expected of you. I left to be a huntress because it was I want. You must find your own path." She said. "My own path?" Fanbeemon ask herself. "Come, let us re join the others." Olbeck said as we head back to the gang. Takato PoV: We all gather back in the center of the area. "Well it look like we clear out all the Grimm out of this area." I said. 'It getting dark soon we should set up camp for tonight, tomorrow we can start looking for clues." Blake said. "Well I found a building earlier that look safe tom use." Ryo said. "Good work mister Akiyama." Oobleck said. "Finally I'm worn out from dealing with Grimm all day." Jerico said.

"Tell me about it, I'm so tire I could drop dead at any moment." Yang said. "Oh let me help you with that Blast shot!" A voice shout as an Energy wave hit the ground in front of us knocking us to the ground. We look to see who shot at us. It was a large bird like Digimon. It chest was orange while the legs were green. It head, thighs and edge of it wings were cover by black armor. Koga held up his D-arc. "[Diatrymon champion level ancient bird Digimon. This wild bird can be deadly with his Blast shot attack.]" He said. "Well shit, it figure he attack us were worn out." Rika said. "So your the so call Tamers that my master is worry about? What a joke and then there you." Diatrymon said as he glare at Fanbeemon. "I remember you, your the princess of that hive that was in the area I once live in You cursed bug were always a pain to deal with." He said as he then chuckle. "I must be very lucky I get to crush you under my talon, where are your guards now?" He ask as he taunt her.

But then a fire ball hit him in the chest forcing him back. We look to see Weiss helping Fanbeemon up. She then glare at the bird and point her sword at him. "Now you listen here you stuid over grown chicken, Fanbeemon maybe the Princess of her hive and I maybe the heiress of the SDC. But we are not portray as people make us out to be. We left our homes to find our place in the world., I have found mine." Weiss said as she turn to Fanbeemon. The insect look to her. "Question is have you?" Weiss ask. Fanbeemon nod as she floated up. "I have now, your right I'm more then a Princess. I will prove by fighting with you Weiss." She said. "Then let put this this turkey in his place partner." Weiss said as a ball of light appear in between them. Weiss touch it as it turn into a blue D-arc with a white ring. "Weiss!" Ruby shout as she threw her a card. "Let go Fanbeemon." She said. "Yes." She said. "Digi-modify Digivolvtion activate!" Weiss shout as she slash it through her D-arc.

Fanbeemon digivolve to Waspmon

Waspmon was a bronze armor robotic bee. She has four jets in her shoulders while her lower body was ball shape with a gun barrel for it stinger. Yang check her D-arc. "Cool [Waspmon champion level bee Digimon. She serve as the guards to the hive you will feel her point with her turbo stinger attack.] Oh boy someone going to get stung." She said with a grin. Diatrymon took a step back in worry. "Like that matter to me, your still a damn bug. Now die like one Blast shot!" He shout as he shot at them. Weiss quickly put up a glyph to block the blast. She then stab the ground causing ice to shot toward the bird freezing him to it. "I lead the lest to you." She said to her partner. "With pleasure Turbo stinger!" Waspmon shout as she shot a laser beam from her stinger at Diatrymon as he cries out and dissolve into data. Waspmon change back to normal as Weis caught her. "Well done." She said. "Yay, all of Team Rwby are Tamers now." Ruby said with a cheer. "That Diatrymon only prove that something is going on here." Ryo said.

"Quite right let us make camp for the night. Tomorrow we'll begin to look into it more." Olbeck said. "Right let get settle in." I said as we head to the building Ryo spoke of. Fanbeemon, that one lest runaway we got to worry about. That only leave Hriessmon, Biyomon and Vorvomon left to find. I hope we find them soon. but for now we need to focus on the mission.
