Recap

Last time on Tales of Tamers Xilla: Takato group head back to Beacon to find and odd sight as two people were battling it out in the courtyard. They were Weiss sister Winter and Ruby Uncle Qrow. Lucky Ozpin and Ironwood were able to stop the fight before it got to far. Qrow and Winter said they will meet with their respected relatives later. The gang got a surprise whey they met Kenji sister Angela and his friends Ichigo and Tristen. After leaving the others Kenji was forrce to work with Angel group in order to protect Ruby. Weiss learn from her sister about how that she have what it takes to use her semblance to summon. She then question Winter if she know any thing about the bandit attack on Koga tribe, determined to find out what happen. Meanwhile, Takato, Rikas, Ruby and Yang learn from Qrow that crime has stop in Vale and how they should never stop learning when they become huntsmen. Soon Takato and Rika learn they will be facing Hiro and Zoey in the double round of the festival.

Chapter 23

Rivals clash

Takato PoV: Once again were back in the arena to continue in the Vytal festival. Currently we were watching the match between Yang and Weiss vs Flint and Neon of Team Fnki. And well they look to be having a hard time, Weiss most of since her foe just split himself into four of himself and was blast her with a barrage of sonic blasts. "Man, Weiss is in a real pinch." Teepo said. "Her opponent won't let up." Elize said worry for Weiss. "Man, I haven't seen anyone with a hate boner like this since the one Ivar have for Jude." I said with a grin getting the goodie two shoes to gawk and sigh at me. "Why must you phrase like that Takato?" He ask as he face palm. "Well, Takato does got a point man, From what I know Ivar really hate your guts Jude." Ryo said as he drank his soda. Milla chuckles. "Aright enough teasing Jude. But it does appears that this Flint Coal fellow has a grudge against Weiss." She said.

"Don't blame the guy, I heard from your pal Argo that Flint family own a dust shop that the Schee dust company put out of Business." Jerico said as he leans back in his seat. "Still find it hard to believe she got information on all of the other teams." Blake said. "You know that rat, she can get the dirt on pretty much anyone." Rika said. "Hey Jerico, you said your from Atlas right? Does your family move dust too?" Zubamon ask. "Well not exactly, while the Schees sell dust, my family company Corona corp, sell tech. All kinds of it, from computers to weapon for defense we got it all. Hell, we even made those paladins things the Atlas military use." He said. "Oh we know about those things alright they are not fun." Ruby said as she hug Palmon to her chest. Speaking of un, we soon see the members of Team Fnki get thrown out of the arena. "And that is folks, the winners of the match is Team Rwby." Port said. "Hell yeah they are!" Bearmon cheer. "Look like Team Rwby is going to the single rounds." Keisuke said.

"Hey guy, isn't your match is next?" Jaune ask. "It is." I said as me and Rika look to Hiro and Zoey. The pinkette smirk at us. " Well red, look like we finally get to settle the score." She said. "That right your going down." Rika said as they glare at each other. I look to Hiro. "Best of luck to you." I said as I held my hand to him. "Same to you." He said as we shake. We then head to the locker rooms. Normal PoV: In another part of the stands, Cinder group along with Angela crew saw the end of the match. "Honestly what a lame fight." Angela said disappointed. "Maybre so, but this does give us the means to sow further chaos." Cinder said as she took out her scroll. I made up the next match last night." She said. "Cool, who you pick?" Mercury ask as he ate some popcorn. "Team Tker Takato Outway and Rika Stellar vs Team Hasz Hiro waver and Zoey Kresnik." Cinder said. Ichigo leans over to look at the pictures of Hiro and Zoey. When she did she grab the side of her head in pain. "Something wrong Ichigo?" Tristen ask.

"Just a small headache." She said. "Hiro and Zoey why do they look so familiar to me?" She thought to herself. "Any way, we don't have enough information on the Teams from Spyros. There still a wild card that I don't like." Cinder said. "Couldn't we ask that info broker who been going around, what was her name Argo." Emerald said. "It no use, she refuse to reveal anything about them. I discover that she is from Spyros as well." Cinder said as she cup her hands together. "She is most likely on their payroll." Angela said. "Then let sent your pet fox to spy on them." Mercury said. "Not an option." Vupimon voice said from Angela D-arc as everyone look at the device. "My sister would sense me as soon as I got close to her." She said. "Which is why we must hide our Digimon in the D-arcs until the time is right." Tristen said. "Yes, we don't want to show our hand just yet." Cinder said. "For now let just enjoy the show." Angela said. Hiro PoV: Me and Zoey were in the locker room getting ready for our match. "So are you ready for this my Darling?" She ask as she twirl her lance.

"I hope so, I mean I spar with Takato before but this will be our first real fight" I said. She grab my cheeks and pull me into a kiss. "Don't worry Darling, I 'm sure that you do fine. Goggles won't know what hit him." She said. She always know what to say to me. "What about you Zoey? You think you can handle Rika?" I ask. She grin madly. "Oh I know I can, it time for her to know her place. I swear she reminds me of Ichigo." She said with a huff. "Well there are a few traits they have in common. But Ichigo wasn't that bad." I said. as she glare at me. "Darling, Ichigo was super jealous that you fell for me. She try to keep us apart. Sure she got better in the end but still." She said. She then stop. "Say Darling, do you ever wonder if the others from our squad are here in this world too?" She ask. I cross my arms. "Sometimes, it would be nice to see them again. Maybe we can ask Argo if she can check for them." I said. "Good idea, now let go put on one hell of a show." She said as she grab my hand. "Yeah lets." I said as we head for the arena.

Takato PoV: Me and Rika have finish getting ready for our match and were making our way to the arena. "Finally, I can show that bitch who the real queen of Tamers." Rika said. I look at her with a worry look. "Ok, I got to ask, Rika what is your beef with Zoey?" I ask as we stop walking. She sighs and cross her arms. "It was a few months before you guys show up in Elympios. I heard that a Monochromon was running crazy in the Russelle Highroad. Me and Renamon went to take care of it. We hunt it down, but so did Zoey and Meicoomon. It how we first met actually. She claims it was their hunt and I told her it didn't matter who got it first. But no, she got in the way. So we ended up fight each other more then the Monochromon. It got worst when Calumon of all people show up and cause the Monochromon to digivolve into Triceramon. We defeated it with no problem but blame each other for what happen. Ever since then, we been trying to out do each other." She said. "So long time rivalry then." I said.

She nod. "Yeah and today we are settling the score." She said. I sigh. "Well I know to say out of your way when your like this." I said. as she smirk. "Good boy Goggle head, your learning. So I got pinkie while you got Hiro." She said. "Yes, I been wanting to see which off us is stronger." I said as we came to the arena. We got to the center of the ring to see Hiro and Zoey waiting for us. "Here we are folks, the final match of the doubles round." Oobleck said. "Indeed Bart, out of all the matches today, I believe this one will be the best so far." Port said. "That right Peter, it Team Tker Takato Outway and Rika Stellar vs Team Hasz Hiro Waver and Zoey Kresnik." Oobleck said. "Here we go guys, best of luck." I said. "Same to you." Hiro said as we draws ours swords. "Yo red, your going down." Zoey said. Rika smirk. "Bring it on Kresnik." She said as she pull out her weapon. "Now to choice our battle field." Port said as the arena start to change. On our side was a volcanic arena while theirs was a desert. "Let the match begin!" Oobleck shout. Me and Hiro head right for the volcanic area. I took a look around, remind me of my inner world.

I look to Hiro as I got ready for him. "Then here I come Takato!" He shout as he charges at me.

Takato vs Hiro

"Ryushosen!" He shout as he slash upwards at me. I quick up to dodge. "Crushing strike!" I shout as I dive at him. He quickly jumps back to avoid me. "Doryusen!" He shout as he strike the ground to sent a wave of magma at me. I flash step back to get away from it. Shit that was close. I then appear behind him "Tail whip!" I shout as I spun at him. He vanish in time to dodge me. He then reappear to my left and swung at me. I quick turn to block the strike. We lock blades for a moment until I jump back. Time to turn up the heat. "Burn them away Moeru Ryu!" I shout as I change to my ShiKai. I charge right at him. "Hazard Edge!" I shout as I slash down at Hiro. He quickly jump away. "Take this Kuzuryusen!" He shout as he move so fast as he strike me. I try to block the barrage but 5 of the strikes got me. I was push back. Damn that is one powerful attack. "Sorry Takato your fast, but your speed is no match for mine." He said. I chuckle confusing him. " Then I guess I should quit holding back. Say you know my teacher right?" I ask.

"You mean Yoruichi right, she taught you how to be a soul reaper." He said. 'That right, but there more to her then you know. She is the best when it come to the flash step technique, it how she got her title." I said. "Her title?" He ask with worry. "They call her the goddess of flash, because she make a technique that pushes the flash step past one limits." I said as I took my coat and threw it off. "And the name of this technique is call Shunko!" I shout as a red aura burst over me. "This feeling." Hiro said as he took a step back from the sheer force of my power. "I know, I try to keep my mana in check or else it could hurt others." I said as I switch to a reverse grip. "Now let finish this Hiro." I said. "Bring it Takato." He said as he put his left foot forward. We charge at each other. "Behold the sword of the dragon king!" I shout. "This will be the final strike to end it all!" He shout as we were about to reach each other. "Ryugonken!\Amakakeru Ryu no Hirameki!" We shout as we clash. We appear a feet from each other with our back turn to the other. I fell to my knee as he fell to the ground.

I sigh and got up to pick up my coat. "Thanks got the match Hiro." I said as he sat up. "Yeah, guess I still got a lot more training to do." He said. "That you do." I said as I help him up. Wonder is the girl are done yet. We soon heard an explosion. Please don't let them wreck the place. Rika PoV: After Takato and Hiro took off, I turn to Zoey. The pinkette stare at me with a smirk on her stupid face. "So, it just you and me huh." She said as she point her lance at me. "That right, it time for you to learn your place." I said as I point Celestial star at her. "Yeah, with you licking the dirt off my boots, they need a good polish." She said. I frown. "Like to see you try!" I shout as I form my shorts swords and charge at her.

Rika vs Zoey

"Storm fury!" I shout as I slash wildly at her. Zoey parries my attacks and then kick me in my gut to force me back. "Skewering spear!" She shout as she thrust her lance at me. I duck under it. "Cyclone burst!" I shout as I shout the wind blast at point blank to launch her into the air. "Look out below Crushing drop!" She shout as she flip around and dive at me. I quickly roll out of the way. I aim at her. "Frost fang!" I shout as I shot the ice arrow at her. She grin as she jump and twist her self in the air, to dodge it. Man what a show off. She land on her feet and smirk at me. "That all you got Red, here I thought you were better then that." She said mocking me as she start to twirl her lance around. I notice orange energy was gathering around it. This can't be good. "Spiral hail!" She shout as she thrust her lance forward sending a whirlwind of energy at me. It slam into me and blast me back as I roll across the desert. Damn that one hurt a lot. "Don't give up Mama!" A voice screams out.

I lift my head to see Hikari cheering for me from the stands. No, I can't give up now, I will never give up. I soon pull my self to my feet. "That all you got?" I ask taunting her. She growl. "Oh stay down already Cleansing lance" She shout as she stab the water strike at me. "Reflect wall!" I shout as I form a mirror like wall infront of me. It absorb her attack and sent right back at her. She cries out. "It quite hot out here, thought you could need a drink." I said with a grin. She growl as her skin turn red. "I won't lose to you Stellar!" She screams as she charges at mee. "If water won't cool you off, then let try some ice Celsius!" I shout as the Spyrite appears. "Allow me. " She said as she slams her hand on the ground to form a wall of ice that Zoey clash into. "You were right she is a savage one." Celsius said. "That she is I can handle the rest." I said as she nod and vanish. The wall came down to reveal a stun Zoey. It time to finish this. "Stars of the cosmos, shine down upon me." I said as I fire several shots into Zoey. I then charge the large energy arrow. "And show me my destiny! Shooting star arrow!" I shout as I sent it into her. Zoey cries out as she was blasted off her feet and hit the ground out cold.

"And it over everyone, the winners of the match are Team Tker!" Port shout as the crowd cheers. Damn right we are. I look to see Goggle head and Hiro walking to us. "Man, you really did a number on her." Takato said as Hiro pick up Zoey and put her on his back. "Let get her to the infirmary. Oh boy, she going to be piss when she wakes up." Hiro said scare. "Best hope she won't take this lost too much." I said. " Even if were rivals, I still like to be friends with her." I said. "Maybe love, come on let get patch up.." Takato said as we left the arena. Well were on our way, next stop the finals.

Takato: With the double round over, we now prepare ourselves for the singles rounds. But suddenly we learn something that could change the lives of those we hold dear. Next time on Tales of Tales Xilla: Chapter 24: Maiden fall. What does this mean for us?
