Author's Note 1
Well... This was random. I never meant to suddenly come up with a story like this but here it is, out of the blue. So, before we begin, a few things need to be addressed.
1) I'm sorry I've been away so long. Working on other stories on AO3 does that to you. But hopefully I'll be back for a while.
2) I'm still working on other stories on this site. Not all of them, but there are definitely ones I want to finish. Mal Foi, Bonne Foi, Chains, April, Come She Will, The Merciful Mercenaries, and Heylin Dragon are ones I'm definitely planning on finishing, I just don't know when yet.
3) I may disappear again for a time to AO3, but don't worry! I'll come back eventually, again. This was my first fanfic site and I like working on here, even if the searching is harder to do.
Now that that's out of the way, as for the specifics of this particular story, those will be addressed at the end so I don't take up too much space here. Hope you enjoy this chapter and I'll see you there.
"Glorious Burst!" If he wasn't already used to dealing with fire, Tai was sure the attack would've been blinding. As it was, ShineGreymon's ball of fire blocked Chrono Paradox, the two attacks fizzling out. This was their chance.
"Omni Sword!"
"Transcendent Sword!" Tai hung on as Omnimon charged forward, followed closely by Imperialdramon. The blades cut through the lines of code flowing around ZeedMillenniummon, creating a bigger opening. Omnimon and Imperialdramon darted away to give more room to the most powerful members, the ones who would surely be able to end this fight for good.
"Final Justice!" Gallantmon threw his spear into ZeedMillenniummon's form, causing the monster to cry out. That would prevent the lines of code from reforming and healing ZeedMillenniummon. But that was not the finisher.
"Celestial Blade!" The god-tier sword split ZeedMillenniummon in two. There was no coming back from that. Finally, finally, they'd won. Tai's legs felt weak as he sat down on Omnimon's shoulder. The Royal Knight lifted his arm, the WarGreymon head touching the DigiDestined's legs.
"Tai?"
"'M okay. Just…" Tai took a few deep breaths, trying to keep the tears at bay. His eyes shot open at a familiar peal of laughter, however. That asshole was still alive?!
"You really think this is over? You think you've won?" hissed one of the heads of ZeedMillenniummon, even as it began to disintegrate. It laughed again, "Look around you, children. You've lost everything."
"Maybe so, but a world without you is infinitely better than before." growled OmniShoutmon.
"Is it really? You put all your power into defeating me…and leaving your friends to the slaughter." Tai flinched. It wasn't true at all, but it still hurt to be reminded of what they'd lost.
"We didn't leave them behind!" Marcus' temper flared up, "You were the coward and took them out before they could defend themselves!"
"Then who's the true winner here? Me or you?" Before any of them could hope to make a snappy comeback, ZeedMillenniummon dissolved away. They stared at the spot where the monster had been. Tai felt a well of anger surge through him only for it to be extinguished by his sorrow. As much as he hated it, ZeedMillenniummon had one good point: Their friends were gone. All that was left of the DigiDestined were the seven of them and their partners. Tai, Davis, Takato, Takuya, Marcus, Mikey, and Tagiru. A roar of rage came from his left and a spear of light hit the spot where the monster had been. Tai glanced over. Out of them, while he was the oldest, Takato was the youngest. The boy had been through a lot of shit himself but this was on another level. And he was taking it hard. Gallantmon Crimson Mode was shaking like a leaf, hands balled at his sides. Whatever was going through his head was causing his weapons of light to flicker. ShineGreymon Burst Mode drifted closer to Gallantmon, his fire wings burning the air around them.
"C'mon, Takato." Marcus' voice was surprisingly soothing, "De-digivolve."
"Why should I?!" snarled Gallantmon, a.k.a. Takato, "There's nothing left for me!"
"Easy. I'm not saying that. But you could hurt someone if you're not careful." Takato seemed to take that to heart. After a few moments, Gallantmon split apart. Grani carried a sad Guilmon and a very distraught Takato on his back. Tai's older brother instincts began to kick in at the sight, only for Marcus to get there first. The teenager crossed from ShineGreymon to Grani and took Takato into a hug. The wails that ensued felt very much like a representation of everyone's grief. They all descended to the ground as the digimon dedigivolved. While most of them only had one digimon, Tai and Davis did not. A shaking Gabumon latched onto his leg and Tai rubbed the digimon's head. Davis was also comforting Wormmon, holding the bug-like being in his arms. Glancing over, Tai found that the others were also trying to find comfort in their digimon or each other. Mikey, Tagiru's mentor, was comforting the younger DigiDestined, though Tagiru appeared more composed than Takato. Appearances could be deceiving but Tai knew that Tagiru was taking this hard just by the fact he hadn't made a sound since their final fight with ZeedMillenniummon. And then there was Takuya. The bearer of the Ancient Warriors was very alone where he stood, but Agumon, the one with the red wristbands, was making his way over to help.
They were alone now. Well and truly alone. Never before had everything felt so silent and empty. And this had come out of nowhere. One second Tai, Davis, and their friends were living their lives, the next… Everyone was dead. And they still had little idea of what ZeedMillenniummon wanted. Not like they could ask the monster now. The only ones that seemed to have any idea had been Ryo and Ken. Tai had seen them speaking at some point before their disappearance and it had appeared rushed and important. Maybe Davis and Takato, the friends to those two, would have an idea of what was going on.
"Tai?" Agumon was giving him a worried look, his claws holding onto the human's jacket. It was a light enough grip not to tear anything unless Tai jerked away and that wasn't happening any time soon.
"Yeah?"
"Are you sure you're okay?"
"...No, buddy. I'm not okay." Tai admitted. He rubbed at his eyes with his free hand, "Kari and the others, they're just… They aren't coming back. I almost lost Kari once, and now…"
"I'm sorry, Tai." Agumon was ashamed, "I wish I could've done more." He glanced at Gabumon. Tai could tell what the dinosaur was thinking. Omnimon had almost lost his digivolution after Matt was killed, leaving Gabumon without a partner. Agumon didn't blame Gabumon but it was obvious they hadn't been up to snuff after that. And the poor digimon clinging to him was practically catatonic.
"It's okay. None of you guys are at fault. We just weren't good enough."
"Yeah." Davis agreed. His voice was softer than normal, almost a whisper as he ventured over. Wormmon's face was buried into the younger man's chest. Davis went on, "There was no warning. And by the time we tried to do anything, half of the people we cared about were dead."
"That asshole planned this from the get-go." Takuya hissed, "How else could it have done all this damage in such a short amount of time?" The boy's hands were fists at his sides, even as Red-Banded Agumon took one of those fists into his claws. An impromptu way of trying to hold the Chosen Child's hand.
"ZeedMillenniummon can control time and space. That much is certain." Mikey spoke, "He used that to his advantage in trying to eliminate us and during our fight. He probably used it to kill the others and get us alone, too. Maybe thought we'd be easier to take down without our friends." Instead, it had made them angry, to the point that their emotions had fueled a huge power boost to their digimon. They were lucky not to lose control during the fight, otherwise everything would've been over. But would it have been better than this? Tai could remember vividly how Matt had been knocked off Omnimon's shoulder by a stray attack from ZeedMillenniummon. Why hadn't it been him instead? Why had this happened in the first place? His eyes glanced over the other DigiDestined. Marcus was still caring for Takato, Takuya was beginning to loosen up and crying on Red-Banded Agumon, Davis was preoccupied by Worrmmon still, and Tagiru was rubbing his eyes as Mikey gripped his shoulder. Tai could remember how it had only been a year or two ago when Quartzmon happened. At least, for the rest of them. After all, it had been his younger self that had been involved, but still. From one world-ending nightmare to another. But then Tagiru was pulling away and having Gumdramon digivolve.
"Someone's gotta be left." Tagiru said, "Arresterdramon and I'll take a look around."
"Tagiru-"
"I've gotta make sure, Mikey. I won't be long." The two left without waiting for an answer. The boy had never been the type to give up. Tai knew this even though they had only spent a short amount of time together. Tagiru had to make sure for himself before he would believe it. As it was, Tai decided to sit down and take Gabumon into a proper hug. What else could be done?
When Tagiru and Arresterdramon returned, it wasn't filled with happiness and relief, which Tai had expected. However, he had still found something. Something he said didn't fit in with the decimated digital landscape around them. And because they had nothing else to do but to wallow in their grief, the rest of the Chosen Children and their digimon follow.
"This is it." announced Arresterdramon, landing in front of what appeared to be a temple of some sort. It didn't look familiar. Above the entrance was a line of DigiCode. OmniShoutmon squinted as he read.
"'Resolution?' I've never heard of this place."
"It could be from one of our worlds." Tai said, "Seeing as we have no idea where we are right now anyway." He climbed off WarGreymon's back, moving his hands to carry Gabumon, who clung to his back. The digimon began de-digivolving around them.
"What's the point?" Takato asked. His legs swung as he sat on Grani, glaring at the rest of them, "There's nothing left. Why are we looking at this place?"
"Something's weird here." said Tagiru, "I dunno why but there's a thing about this place that rubs me the wrong way. If it's something like ZeedMillenniummon…" The group understood.
"I'll take the lead." Mikey offered. He and Shoutmon entered first, soon followed by Takuya and then Tagiru and Gumdramon. Tai looked at Takato and Marcus. The older boy had rode with the younger, trying to act as some kind of comforting blanket, even if he wasn't entirely succeeding.
"C'mon." Marcus climbed off Grani, Red-Banded Agumon and Guilmon joining him. He opened his arms to Takato, "It'll be okay."
"There's no point." Takato murmured, but he hopped off Grani anyway at Marcus' urging. They entered the temple next, digimon following close behind. All that was left were Davis, Veemon, Wormmon, Gabumon, Agumon, and Tai.
"I can go first, if you want." Davis nodded his head towards the building.
"Let's go together." Tai spoke. He didn't feel like being left out here alone, even if it would be with Agumon and Gabumon and Grani. They walked inside and at first it was pitch black. Tai couldn't hope to see his hand in front of his face if he tried. But then there was a light ahead, cutting through the dark. It was a soft red and Tai zeroed in on it. He walked through the darkness with Davis, comforted by the many footsteps echoing around them. Eventually they came to an open area, maybe the center of the building. Tai could see what was making the red light immediately: a Firewall. It circled around something in the middle of the room, preventing them from seeing what was possibly past it. But that wasn't the only thing in the room. There was a man there, sitting on the steps leading up to the Firewall. Tai would recognize that face anywhere, young or old.
"Gennai?!" he and Davis exclaimed.
"I was wondering when you'd finally arrive." Gennai said.
"Wait, you know this guy?" Marcus asked.
"He's good." Davis confirmed, "Helped us out in some big scrapes."
"What are you doing here?" Tai asked, "What's going on?"
"I have some good news and bad news." Gennai stood up, dusting off his robe.
"Is not helping us out in the fight part of the bad news?" Takato snapped.
"Somewhat." Gennai's face was saddened, "I'm really sorry about what happened, guys. There was nothing I could do. But there might be a way to fix things." He gestured to the Firewall, "This temple actually belongs to ZeedMillenniummon, and behind this wall is what you could call a 'reset' button. This isn't the first time that digimon has fought you."
"It's not?" Tagiru blinked. Gennai shook his head.
"ZeedMillenniummon is a bit of what you might call a sadist. It likes to cause pain and grief to others. And with its ability to control time and create dimensions, it can do that over and over again. In fact, to make things easier, it used those same powers to create the Reset Button. And then it started coming after all of you, since you were the biggest threat that could oppose it. Time and time again you've fought it and lost, and then ZeedMillenniummon presses the button to go back in time and start everything over again. It kept doing this for its own enjoyment, but this is the first time you've won."
"So it deliberately kept fighting us, even though it knew it could lose, because it liked seeing us lose?!" Red-Banded Agumon exclaimed.
"That's it." Gennai nodded, "I've tried doing something about this for a while but ZeedMillenniummon was too strong for me to deal with on my own. The best I could do was make this Firewall to temporarily keep it away. And then you all defeated it. This can give you guys a second chance to save your friends." All of them perked up at this. They could save the others?
"Wait." Takuya held up a hand, "What do you mean by that? Are there any risks? What does the 'second chance' entail?"
"Glad you asked that." Gennai waved a hand and the Firewall cleared away. Behind it was a pedestal and, as he had described, a button was resting on top. He continued, "ZeedMillenniummon, since it liked seeing so much pain, set the button to go back to one point in time, at least in one world and whatever its equivalent might be in the other dimensions. The first time you met your digimon and started your journey."
"The first day of summer camp…" Tai mused. He remembered that day well, "But why there? A lot of good things come out of that too."
"That's true, but so does a lot of pain, and ZeedMillenniummon feeds off that. As for why…" Gennai shrugged, "But to answer your question, Takuya, there are some risks. It'll take you back to the first time you met your digimon, but it's never the same adventure twice. I've seen many resets. It's never a guarantee you'll have the same friends or digimon. For example, there was one reset where you, Takuya, were partnered to a Dorumon instead of Agunimon and your friends were Thomas, Izzy, Mimi, Henry, and Yuu." Tai blinked. That was really a jumble. He could barely imagine how well that turned out. Gennai added, "But there's always been the seven of you involved in your own dimensions, regardless. You seven are constants in every reset. You don't change, even if the friends and digimon around you do. Which is very interesting." That was true, if he was reading the situation right. Tai and the others, the 'Goggleheads' they'd been called, were constants in this insanity? It made them special, but for what reason, Tai was unsure. Why them? Why not any of the others? Was it because they were the leaders? He was taken out of this thoughts as one of the other Chosen spoke up.
"Does that mean we'll lose our memories too?" Mikey asked, "Since apparently this was another reset and we had no idea?"
"Unfortunately." Gennai nodded again, "But you have the advantage. ZeedMillenniummon was always the one pressing the button. If you press it, ZeedMillenniummon won't have any idea something's changed."
"But we won't remember either." Davis pointed out.
"Maybe not, but I'll know, and I can try to give ZeedMillenniummon misinformation. It observes your journeys to learn your strengths and weaknesses. You won this time because you managed to overpower it. But I've seen enough of your adventures now that I can give ZeedMillenniummon fake information, make it think you have different digimon and friends than you actually do. So when this happens again, you might actually win better than you did this time. It won't know what to expect and won't be prepared. You could save your friends." Tai considered it. They would lose their memories, maybe not even make the same friends or have the same partners, but they would have the chance to take down ZeedMillenniummon, once and for all. Was it worth it? He looked at the rest of the DigiDestined.
"Since this involves all of us, this should be a unanimous decision." Tai said, "We should all want the reset before we press the button." Gennai nodded.
"Take your time." He moved away to give them space. Silence engulfed them. Tai was pretty sure of what his choice was: He wanted his friends back. And if he had to guess, Davis would be of the same mind. The others, though, he wasn't sure about. They had their own decisions to make.
"...What does that mean for us?" Takato murmured. It was the quietest he'd been so far, "We'd have everyone back, but…" He turned to Guilmon. Tai remembered the stories they'd shared while waiting for their chance to attack Quartzmon. Guilmon, unlike most digimon, had been born out of Takato's own imagination. If they reset, what would happen to Guilmon? Would he still exist? Who would Takato be partnered to? So many questions, and the only way to answer them was to take the leap.
"It's okay, Takatomon." Guilmon gave a smile, "You should get our friends back. They're more important."
"But what about you? I won't remember you, and you might not even exist if we press the button."
"Guilmon's right." Shoutmon spoke, "If our memories get wiped, if we go to different humans, even if we cease to exist, none of us would know that. We would live as we would without any knowledge of the price paid to get there. We would get everyone back, but it would be okay because we'd be making new memories. Nothing would change." Shoutmon had a point. If they went ahead, they wouldn't remember a thing. It wouldn't hurt. So what was stopping them? The fear of the unknown? Or the fact that what they would be doing sounded a lot like death? They didn't know what waited on the other side of the button and pressing it would be the end of the line for their present selves. This hesitation was holding them back.
"I don't wanna lose that, I don't wanna lose my memories, but getting our friends back is more important." Marcus agreed, "It'll just be a new adventure."
"Yeah." Tagiru nodded, "We'll get second chances at everything. Making new friends, saving the world, and we won't even know that we've done all that already. Hell, I might actually be able to make amends with Ryouma this time…" Tagiru's face turned down, as did his gaze. Well, that was two more for pressing the button. That left Mikey, Takato, and Takuya. Mikey would likely want to agree because he was a very caring and helpful person, wanting to protect his friends, but Takato and Takuya were undecided.
"I don't know." Takato's arms were around Guilmon, "I want everyone back, but I don't wanna lose you in the process."
"Takatomon…" Guilmon's nose nuzzled into Takato's hair, "You should press the button. I know, I don't wanna lose you either, but a lot more people are worth more than one digimon."
"O-okay." Takato sniffed. He took off his goggles, "I know this probably won't mean anything after, but take my goggles. As a reminder." He slid them over Guilmon's head so they rested around the digimon's neck like jewelry.
"I'll take good care of them, Takatomon." That only left Takuya. The boy looked so conflicted. Then his digivice started to glow and a figure appeared before him. Tai recognized them as Agunimon, Takuya's Spirit Digimon. This was the first time Tai had seen the spirit separate from Takuya, though. The boy looked just as surprised.
"A-Agunimon?"
"Long time no see, Takuya." Agunimon greeted, "Usually I wouldn't do this, however, I wanted to reassure you. I can tell you're not fully settled on anything yet and that's okay. But I'll remember, Takuya. We Spirits are timeless beings so the reset won't affect my memories. If that's what you're worried about, I can carry them on for the both of us. I've seen many different timelines because of these resets and you are one of the bravest children I have ever met. I know you can do this. You have a little brother as well as your friends to go back to. Let that guide your decision." Agunimon then disappeared. Takuya stared at his D-Tector.
"...He's right. We should press the button." So it was decided, then. That left one last thing to do: Their goodbyes. They all moved away from each other to do so, giving one another privacy.
—+—+—
"Boss, I promise not to forget you!"
"I think that's not gonna work, Agumon, with the whole 'reset' thing."
"I'm still gonna try!" The big digimon sniffed, "You've been the best Boss and friend a digimon could ask for!"
"Agumon…" Marcus rubbed his eyes, "C'mon, you're gonna make me cry!"
"Isn't that the point?" Agumon was close to being a blubbering mess, "No matter what happens, even if it's not me you'll be partnered with, you'll still be part of the ultimate team. You'll still be the best fighter in two worlds and you'll show everyone how strong you are. Even if you get a tiny partner like Lalamon!" Marcus laughed.
"I'm gonna miss you so much…" They hugged tightly.
—+—+—
"Tagiru?" Gumdramon took the boy's hands, "No matter what goes down, I hope your new partner does their best to help you and save the world."
"But they won't be you." Tagiru pointed out. Gumdramon shrugged.
"That's okay. I was a brat in this timeline, anyway."
"And you learned from that. What if you're stuck being a brat in the next?"
"Maybe I will. I kinda deserve it."
"How are you being so calm about this?!" Tagiru cried, getting frustrated with the digimon's nonchalant attitude.
"Because, Tagiru, I know this isn't the end." Gumdramon reached up to wipe away the boy's tears, "Never give up. You taught me that. And while we'll lose our memories, maybe not be partners, I won't forget that. I won't forget the lessons you've taught me. I won't give up."
"Why does it have to be you?" Tagiru hugged his digimon close. He would miss Gumdramon so much, even if he wouldn't remember it.
—+—+—
"Wormmon?" Davis held the digimon away from him, to get a better look at Wormmon's face. The insect digimon's eyes were still so full of tears.
"Will this really bring Ken back?" asked Wormmon.
"Yeah." Davis nodded, "And I'll make sure to keep him safe, this time around."
"Actually, there's something else I need to ask you to do." Wormmon rubbed his eyes, "You need to find Ryo, Ryo Akiyama. He and Ken, they went on an adventure together before Ken became the Digimon Emperor. It's fuzzy, but Ryo was important. He's the reason why I got to meet Ken in the first place. If you can, please find him."
"I will. I promise." And Davis would try his hardest, lost memories be damned. Now to turn his attention to his actual partner. He felt Veemon's claws in his jacket before the blue digimon popped up on his shoulder.
"You sure this is the right decision, Davis?" Veemon asked, lisp barely audible, "I fully support it, but I'll miss you."
"I know, but everyone'll be alive again. That's what's important." Wormmon and Veemon switched positions. As Wormmon crawled onto Davis' shoulder, Veemon entered the DigiDestined's arms. Davis hugged the dragon, "I'll miss you too."
—+—+—
"Don't worry, Takatomon. It'll all be okay in the end. Like how we found each other again." Guilmon licked Takato's face, "Remember?"
"I remember." As soon as he'd found that opening in Guilmon's old place, he went to the Digital World. He found his best friend again. And they'd tried to make things work out. Takato rubbed the dragon's head, "I just don't wanna forget you. You mean so much to me, and we might not be together in the next world…"
"You have a lot of people looking out for you, Takatomon. Even if I'm not there, they'll be there for you. Along with other digimon."
"Man, you sound so smart right now." Takato sniffed, "Why do we have to lose our memories? Why do I have to lose you?"
"We'll see each other again, Takatomon. I promise." Guilmon lifted his claw to Takato's hand. The boy grasped it back.
"I hope so. I love you so much, buddy." Guilmon licked his face in response.
—+—+—
"You came to help me save my world, Mikey. Even if it won't be the same in the reset, I know you'll do great things and make new friends. It might not be me needing help but you're such a selfless person. I hope things go well for you and your new partner, if you get one."
"Thank you, Shoutmon. I hope your new partner loves you as much as I do." Mikey knew that this was a mutual goodbye but even so, his heart ached at the thought of losing Shoutmon again.
"Then let's hope both of our lives turn out well." I hope you can continue to save the world and that I have a good partner.
"And that we'll see each other again." Mikey squeezed Shoutmon's hands, "We will. I know it."
"We will." Shoutmon agreed. They then entered into a hug.
—+—+—
"Agunimon, I know we've been through a lot together, but thanks for getting my head in the game. This is the best choice, right? We're not making a mistake?"
"This is the best choice, Takuya. The best that could've been made in this situation. Guilmon put it best: Many lives in exchange for the price of a few, or in this case, the memories."
"I know…" Takuya sighed.
"Don't overthink this. Even though you'll lose your memories, I won't. We may not be partners in the next timeline but I'm sure everything will turn out okay in the end. And if we meet again, it won't be soon enough."
"...I'll miss you."
"I'll miss you too. But that's okay. Everything will turn out good in the end, Takuya. I promise."
—+—+—
"Gabumon?" Tai sat on the steps, rubbing the shivering digimon's head. It was hard to make out Gabumon's expression. The eyeholes in his fur were stained with tears but he was looking at Tai clearly.
"...What if Matt doesn't come back?" The digimon whimpered, "What if I get paired up with someone else?"
"He'll come back." Tai assured. He took the digimon's hands, "Listen to me, Gabumon. If you're not there, I'll make sure to look out for Matt. T.K. will too. Matt will always have friends by his side, looking out for him. It's why he has the Crest of Friendship. And pressing the button is the only way we'll be able to bring him back."
"I know." Gabumon shook his head, "I know…" He still seemed to be in some shock. What could Tai hope to do to fix it? He rubbed Gabumon's head one more time before he moved to Agumon.
"I wish this didn't have to happen." Agumon said.
"Me too, buddy. But it's for the best."
"I know. And I hope you get someone really special." Agumon rubbed at his eyes, "Someone who'll be as strong and brave as you."
"You too." Tai said. His voice was getting choked up but he struggled through it, "Whoever you get, I hope they're just as nice and kind to you. Maybe they'll be a better partner than I am."
"Don't say that! You're an amazing partner, Tai!" The Chosen Child distinctly remembered different times where he'd failed Agumon, especially when thinking about SkullGreymon, but he didn't bring it up. Instead, he held his digimon close, tugging Gabumon into the hug as well.
"No matter what happens, I love you guys and I'll miss you so much."
"Miss you too." Gabumon sniffed.
"I'll miss you a lot. Be safe, Tai." Agumon added.

They climbed the stairs to the podium. There were seven of them and they formed a weirdly-jointed shape around the button. Tai was the first to put his hand on the button, followed by Mikey, Takuya, Takato, Tagiru, Marcus, and Davis. They all knew what they had to do.
"On three." said Tai. He began counting down, "One, two… THREE!" They pressed the button together. There was a flash of light and the last thing Tai thought of was hoping that they'd be able to beat ZeedMillenniummon again without the losses of their friends.
Author's Note 2
Okay, so, specifics for this story:
1) This only includes Seasons 1-7 (I include Hunters as a separate season) and the WonderSwan games covering Ryo Akiyama. This is going to be ignoring Tri., Appli Monsters, and other material that came out after Hunters. May also include the movies and a few audio dramas but unsure at this point.
2) If possible, everyone will be going by their English/Dubbed names, as that is what I'm most familiar with. This includes their personalities, in case such has changed between the original and the dubbed.
3) This story will follow along the lines of the anime closely if possible, with some different veerings out because of the circumstances. This may also expand upon other plotlines, such as what was going on with Guilmon and the tunnel in Tamers and Ken's status as the DigiDestined of Kindness in Adventure 02.
4) Nothing is truly concrete yet except for the digimon, and that is also subject to change. I am willing to hear suggestions for digimon and also facts about the Japanese side of the seasons to help write this story better, as I'd like to make sure the characters aren't too OOC. So if you have any suggests, comments, or facts, please let me know! It would be a great help!
And if you've reached this far in the notes, congratulations. It's been a long time since I've watched Digimon but I'm hoping to rewatch everything with this story in mind. And I don't wanna give away anything yet, but I do hope you enjoy the story. I don't want to let down any hopes but be prepared for some unexpected things. Also, expect a large gap between this chapter and the next update. Nothing's been written yet but I hope I don't leave you guys hanging too long.
And please, if you enjoyed this, read and review!
