Hello again everyone I'm back once again to bring you back another chapter to my story. I hope you enjoy it.
Loyalty and lies: Chapter 2
Fugaku was currently sitting with the Uchiha clan council as they were discussing the plans of their coup; on his right side was his eldest son Itachi who just got back from his Anbu duties. He knew that his son was a plant put in place by the third hokage and the recently departed Danzo; 2 weeks have passed by and Danzo's root has been quietly disbanded. Most of the members had committed suicide as they felt they failed their master while about a dozen or so deserted and went rogue.
"Fugaku" a Uchiha elder spoke up which gained his attention "the coup is supposed to take place in 2 weeks and you still haven't even told us how you intend to wrestle power away from the hokage or how you intend to keep the other shinobi from stopping us" he said as the rest of the council agreed.
"Trust me" Fugaku said coolly "you will know it when you see it; and trust me it will get everyone's attention" he said which made the council confused and worried. Fugaku planned to use Naruto and his burden but he couldn't tell them that as there was a mole; plus, to the fact that only a select few knew about Naruto. Fugaku, Mikoto, the family doctor Tetsuo were the only one's who knew about Naruto; Mikoto was more than willing to keep quiet about the boy. Mikoto tried for years to adopt Naruto but was blocked by the Shinobi and civilian council as they did not wish to give the Uchiha clan a powerful asset which increased her distrust of the village as Naruto was the child of her late friend Kushina.
"Furthermore" Fugaku continued "we have to worry about the Shinobi council; primarily the Hyuga, Inuzuka, Nara, Akimichi and Yamanaka clans as they will fight tooth and nail to keep us from gaining power" he said as the council nodded.
"Well what do you have in mind" a council member asked to which Fugaku answered.
"During the coup we will assassinate the clan heads and leave them in a power vacuum; the Hyuga will be the trickiest because the Hyuga council will be a problem even with Hiashi dead. So, we will eliminate them as well" he said to the shock of the council to which another member spoke up.
"What about the Aburame clan" he asked to which Fugaku once again answered.
"The Aburame clan has been discriminated against for years for their use of insects; once we are in power, we will bring them in closer to us and make an alliance. Shibi Aburame is a rationalist so he will understand" he said to which the council hesitatingly agreed as they were untrusting of other clans. "This will be enough talk for today; I call this session to a close" Fugaku said to which everyone got up and left.
As Itachi and Fugaku were leaving Fugaku turned to Itachi and spoke "Itachi how does you're spying on the hokage going? Is he suspicious of our clan" he asked to which Itachi shook his head.
"No, he is not suspicious in the slightest" Itachi said a complete lie to which Fugaku nodded.
"Good keep your eyes and ears open" Fugaku said as Itachi bowed and bid farewell. 'Itachi' Fugaku thought sadly 'so much potential; but wasted on a village instead of your own clan' he finished as he walked away to do his other duties.
With Mikoto
Mikoto was currently entering the house of her departed friend Kushina; her and her husband only lived in here for a short time until their deaths. From the outside it looks like a abandoned building but once past the gated the genjutsu dissipates and you can see a relatively well kept house; this was due to the seals put in place by Minato. Mikoto grew to hate Minato over the years for sealing that demon into Naruto and making his childhood a living hell due to the villagers who he was protecting.
Mikoto knocked on the door as it opened up showing Naruto who had a small smile on his face a rarity on his usually cold blank face. "Lady Uchiha" Naruto said with formality "what do I owe the pleasure" he said to which Mikoto giggled.
"Naruto you've known me for 4 years already; you can call me Mikoto" she said to which Naruto chuckled.
"Very well Mikoto" Naruto said as he opened the door and let her in "so is this a business visit or no" he asked to which Mikoto produced a scroll and unsealed 4 bowls of ramen which answered Naruto's question. "Sai, Shin you can come out it's just Lad- Mikoto" Naruto said as the 2 boys appeared form the shadows Shin with a smile on his face and Sai with his usual fake smile which seems to be getting more genuine every passing day.
"Welcome Ms. Mikoto" Shin said.
"Salutations Lady Uchiha" Sai said as he was still adjusting to having visitors who were not root.
Sai and Shin both defected from root the day after Danzo died as there was no one left to give out orders; they both tried to find and kill the person responsible for killing their master until they found Naruto. Naruto instead of using his might used his words and talked both boys down; upon exchanging words he was able to convince them to return home with him to a waiting Mikoto who made both boys a home cooked meal and showed them attention. These little things that were denied to them by their affiliation with root won them over and over the past 2 week proceeded to ally with Naruto; Naruto in turn told Fugaku who was surprised at Naruto actually using diplomacy.
Fugaku upon meeting the boys promised the 2 'brothers' that if they assist Naruto in his endeavors they will be rewarded with a home, money and a chance at a normal life. They accepted the offer as it was too good to pass up.
"Ok boys" Mikoto said sitting with the 3 boys ata the table "lets eat up" she chirped as the 4 began to eat the bowls of noodles.
2 hours later Sai and Shin left the house in henges to walk around the village as they never been free to walk around; as per usual Shin will proceed to drag Sai to a Manga store to which Sai in turn will take Shin to a art supply store to browse the many art supplies. This left Mikoto and Naruto alone to the joy of Mikoto as she loved spending time with her 'secret' son.
Mikoto was currently stroking Naruto's hair as he laid his head on her lap; due to many years of going without any physical shows of love Naruto was loving the small shows of affection. A hug here, a kiss to the forehead there and the occasional day out with her henged as Fugaku or Sasuke meant the world to Naruto.
"Naruto" Mikoto said softly and with worry in her voice which didn't go unnoticed by Naruto.
"Yes Mikoto" Naruto said sitting up and looking at her.
"Why are you so loyal to Fugaku; I mean a master is important yes but you take it to the extreme. Many times you said that you would die for him and his ambitions and I'm wondering why" she asked to which Naruto froze. Naruto had never expected Mikoto to bring such a topic up as most of the time she talked either about herself or ask how Naruto was doing.
"He saved my life" Naruto said looking to the ceiling "he saw value in me, he doesn't see me as a monster or a weapon, he helped me hide from Konoha for all these years" Naruto said as he looked Mikoto in the eyes "he's more than a master to me; he a father figure to me. He even wants me to join the clan after the coup" he said as Mikoto gasped as Fugaku never mentioned this to her. "I will help him bring the Uchiha to it's rightful glory and if I die in the process then so be it; it's the least I can do for all he's given me" he said as Mikoto was stunned "when all this is over I can call him father and you mother" he finished as Mikoto held him tight with tears flowing down her cheeks.
"I would love that Naruto" she said as she kissed his forehead "please don't die; I only just got you and I don't want to lose you anytime soon" she said as her and Naruto embraced for what seems like a eternity.
As night rolled around Naruto was getting ready for bed as Shin and Sai were already asleep; as he got near his bed, he picked up a kunai and threw it at a picture of Minato the fourth hokage; his 'father'.
'Bastard' Naruto thought as he crawled into bed 'you will never be my father; you are just some man who impregnated my birth mother' Naruto thought as he closed his eyes 'Master Fugaku was more of a father to me than you' he finished as he drifted off to sleep.
With Hiruzen and Jiraya
"You still haven't come up with anything Jiraya" Hiruzen said as Jiraya sighed and nodded.
"I checked Iwa, Suna, Kumo, Taki, Kusa, even wave country I haven't found no hind or hair of him" Jiraya said as the past few years have been rough on the 2-aging shinobi. When Naruto disappeared, the village was in an uproar as the civilians were celebrating that the demon was finally gone; at the same time the shinobi were scared shitless as they lost their most powerful military asset. Hiruzen remembered the absolute circus that was the council meeting over the matter; Fugaku was upset that the Uchiha police force wasn't informed until so late in the search and said that if the Uchiha were given the notice sooner they could've found Naruto
Hiruzen sighed as he pinched his nose "Jiraya we have to keep looking for- "Hiruzen began until 2 anbu landed in front of him and Jiraya.
"Lord Hokage" Itachi and Shisui said in unison as Hiruzen acknowledged them.
"Speak" Hiruzen said as Itachi spoke up.
"Lord Hokage; my father is still going through with the coup 2 weeks from now" Itachi said as Jiraya and Hiruzen nodded at their second biggest problem. "He plans on doing something to distract the village while he and a few other powerful Uchiha plan to take you down head on" Itachi said to which Hiruzen rubbed his temples.
"What do you 3 think our course of action should be" he said to which Shisui spoke up.
"If I am able to get the Uchiha council in one area I could use my Kotomatsukami and make them forget the coup" he said as all 3 looked at him "no casualties, no coup, and we can save the village from a possible civil war" he said as all 3 nodded.
"Very well" Hiruzen said as he looked at Shisui "the next council meeting you use your genjutsu and we deal with this problem; then we refocus on finding Naruto" he said as all 3 nodded.
"The next meeting is tomorrow to discuss clan finances; it will be late at night so you will encounter no resistance" Itachi said as Shisui nodded and smiled.
"Great! Now I gotta go and prepare; have fun on your date with Izumi" he said as Itachi face palmed at his friends' antics as Hiruzen sweat dropped.
"Jiraya lets- "he began as he noticed Jiraya was gone he then looked over at Jiraya pestering a livid looking Itachi.
"C'mon kid" Jiraya said as Itachi's eye twitched "give me the details; I promise you a fat commission if you let me use you 2 for my book" he said.
Itachi without saying a word left in a flock of crows to which Jiraya laughed and Hiruzen got pissed.
"Jiraya" Hiruzen yelled at his student "get your mind out of the gutter and let's find Naruto!"
Jiraya immediately went back into business mode and the 2 began to try to find out where Naruto could be.
The next day: Nighttime
Shisui was running through the woods outside the Uchiha compound as he was about to put his plan into action; in a few minutes the coup will be a thing of the past and he and Itachi can refocus and help Jiraya look for Naruto. As he continued to run, he was alarmed when a hail of Shuriken and Kunai landed in his position; as he dodged and landed on a tree he was then attacked by a ink tiger. Shisui quickly drew his sword and destroyed the creation; as his sword cleaved into the ink tiger, he felt a force push back as he saw a figure emerge from the creation and lock blades with him pushing him back. He looked and saw that the attacker had Grey hair and seemed to be no more than 9; although he couldn't tell due to the blank anbu mask he was wearing. As Shisui kicked his attacker away he heard 2 more land just behind him.
"Who are you" Shisui asked as one figure stepped forward his mask hiding his face and the only noticeable feature on him was his slick back blonde hair.
"Who we are isn't important" the figure said as he drew his sword and got into a ready position "what is important is that we stop you here and now" he said as the third boy stepped forward his mask also blank but showing short black hair.
"Shin, Nagasumi" Sai said as to hide Naruto's true identity "get ready this is going to be a difficult battle" he said as he held his scroll and brush ready to create more Ink summons.
"Copy that Sai" Shin said smiling behind his mask as he was excited to fight such a strong opponent.
"Oh well" Naruto said as he removed a piece of his mask revealing his right eye "I guess I better use this" he said as he reached up and took off a contact on his eye. Shisui was shocked as he looked at the boy as he opened his eye and showed a sharingan; but it was different while it was red and had 3 tomoe its pupil was not round instead it had a verticle slit in the middle.
"How the hell did you get a sharingan" Shisui asked angrily as Naruto scoffed.
"What does it matter to a dead man" Naruto said as him and his 2 teammates were about to face possibly the toughest opponent they ever faced; Shisui the Teleporter.
Shisui activated his fully matured sharingan and got into a fighting stance 'I can't fail here' he thought as he looked at his 3 opponents 'If I fail then the village will fall' he thought as he braced himself for the onslaught that he was about to face.
