Prompt: #31DaysOfWriting Fall 2021 - October 3rd: Holiday Celebration
#DDRollADrabble October 2020: Blaise Zabini/Vampire Costume
#RAREHPBingo Square B1: Blaise Zabini/Pansy Parkinson
Blaise took one last look at himself in the mirror, smirking as he did so. Tonight was more for Pansy than it was for him, but he was going to have as much fun as he possibly could. Halloween wasn't really his thing, and costumes, even less. But, he loved his wife and wanted her to be happy on her birthday, so he humoured the witch.
Leaving the bedroom, Blaise made his way downstairs, where he could already hear people talking and laughing over the music as they celebrated Pansy's thirtieth birthday. To Pansy, being born in August was 'boring,' so she always insisted on celebrating her special day on her favourite holiday, Halloween. It was exceptionally unconventional, but that was typical Pansy for you.
Deciding to make the best of the night, Blaise entered the festivities in his over the top vampire costume and spotted his beloved talking with a few of her friends from their Hogwarts days. She was dressed as his vampire bride and looked absolutely ravishing in sleek attire. He waved at a few people on his walk across the room. When he arrived, he grabbed her hand and spun her right into his waiting arms.
"Happy birthday, love," Blaise said, swooping down to kiss his wife's cheek. "I hope this night is everything you hoped for and more."
Pansy giggled and touched her cheek. "Your fangs tickle," she said, reaching up to poke one of the points sticking out of his mouth. "I may ask you to keep them on later tonight…."
Blaise felt a growl roll up from inside of him, and he tugged Pansy more snugly into his arms. "Mmmm," he hummed, tucking his face into the crook of his neck. "I do like the sound of that. Tonight is all about you, so anything you wish for, I'll make come true."
Melting into his touch, Pansy allowed her husband to kiss along her neck. She enjoyed the way he was making shivers run up and down her spine to the point of warming her up in all the right places. Then, sighing, she said, "Blaise, if you keep that up, we'll have to leave this party much earlier than I anticipated, and they haven't even brought out my cake yet."
Laughing, Blaise relented and pulled back to stare adoringly into her sapphire eyes. "Merlin forbid us from leaving the party before the cutting of the cake."
Now it was Pansy's turn to laugh. She slid onto her tiptoes and kissed Blaise's cheek before saying, "I'm so lucky to have you as my husband. Now, come and get a drink with me before we dance the night away."
"Nothing sounds better," Blaise replied and playfully dragged Pansy to the refreshment table.
The rest of the night was spent enjoying their friends and one another company. And when it ended, Blaise came through as promised and kept on the vampire fangs just as Pansy requested. Pansy's thirtieth "birthday" turned out to be her best one yet.
