July 2020 (Month 6)

"So, uh, were you not going to brag on Kurt or anything?"

"Huh?" Blaine looked up from his paperwork and tilted his head.

Adrian sat down in front of his desk, looking amused.

"No. Seriously. What? Did I forget something? It's not his birthday or anything…. However, he did get the kitchen stuff unpacked very quickly which was awesome." Blaine rambled.

Adrian slid his phone across the desk to Blaine. "Kurt is literally number one on the top twelve designers to keep on your radar!"

"Wait, what?" Blaine picked the phone up.

In just two years, this Brooklyn-based designer has pieces in the Marc Jacobs line that sell out every week—and for good reason. Creating pieces for every fashion season, Kurt Hummel's pieces are quickly becoming favorites for just about every girl looking for new wardrobe essentials. Every piece he has done—under the Marc Jacobs line— has taken over Instagram as well as many other social forums. He has had several pieces on the runway and has even had a spread in Vogue, something not common for a first assistant. Expect to see more of his must have's and, hopefully, a solo career.

Blaine looked up at Adrian.

"See?"

"Uhm… he has no idea." Blaine said, pulling his own phone out and searching for the article again.

"Seriously?" Adrian looked doubtful.

"Holy shit! He does not know."

"Are you sure?"

"He's literally at home in his pajamas watching Ellen reruns. He has no idea." Blaine repeated. "I want to cry."

Adrian laughed.

Blaine took a screen shot, texting it to Kurt.

Within seconds, he received texts with only random letters and numbers.

"Good morning, Mr. I'm-about-to-marry-a-future-top-fashion-designer." Ryan walked in, dropping a magazine on his desk.

"Does everybody know but Kurt and I?"

"Are you kidding? I've flagged his name on social media so I get notifications. He gets more and more popular with every Vogue and Elle magazine that comes out." Ryan's facial expression was serious. "Buddy, you better watch out because you are eye candy and you better bet people are going to be taking Kurt's picture and you are too cute to crop out."

"Pfft." Blaine rolled his eyes

"Oh, it's true." Adrian nodded. "If there is one thing people love as much as any celebrity, it's their beautiful gay cohorts... especially the young fashion designers. Sorry but Marc Jacobs is getting old and his assistant may be stealing some of his spotlight."

"How do you know that?" Ryan looked impressed.

"When I had abs, I modeled." Adrian shrugged. "Fashion designers talks as much shit as the models do."

"I knew you were too hot to be normal… I just said that out loud… about somebody not even in his thirties that I trained. Bad, Ryan." Ryan grabbed his magazine and left.

Blaine looked at Adrian, amused. "If I were to Google your name, would I find pictures?"

"Please don't." Adrian's eyes widened in horror.

"I won't." Blaine promised, laughing.

"Any time Matt's annoyed with me, that's what he does. And he'll print them off and tape them to mirrors and write 'WHERE ARE YOUR ABS?!' on it." Adrian rolled his eyes. "I hate him."

"I love Matt." Blaine laughed again.

"Yeah I do too but he can be annoying. If he wasn't so cute and funny, it almost wouldn't be worth it." Adrian said, although he was clearly joking.

"Oh, you love him." Blaine rolled his eyes.

"I know. He's so sweet and cheerful most of the time… although he is not having much fun in his math class right now. He may as well just start paying Wes and AJ for all of the tutoring they're doing."

"Wes likes helping. He helped me in high school all the time. Science, math, French… I was hopeless at French, though. Kurt tried to help but by that point we were already dating so it was more tutoring on French kissing." Blaine tilted his head. "I forgot about that."

"Not to be creepy but you were super adorable. Matt was going through your wall and somehow managed to get to your pictures from high school. You and Kurt were precious."

"I don't think about Googling him. I watch him do a half hour face regiment twice a day." Blaine scoffed as Adrian pulled his keyboard over and typed in Kurt's name on the search bar. He then added, "And thanks."

Not only were there one or two links… there were pages of searches that popped up.

"Holy shit." Blaine said for the second time that morning.

Adrian clicked on images. There were already several pictures of he and Kurt—some from social media and some he'd never even seen before.

"Ha! You two probably have fangirls who are going to roleplay you too."

"What?!" Blaine asked.

"And fanfiction too. Tell me how you look good in pictures when you don't even know they're being taken, Blaine."

"I feel violated." Blaine sulked. He then pointed at one. "I don't look good in that one. At all. Ew. Is that what my face looks like?"

"Everyone takes a few bad ones." Adrian shrugged. "Ooh, isn't that Kurt's friend that was there when we had the party the night you two got engaged?"

"Yeah. Alec." Blaine nodded. "He's Kurt's best friend… he's also a designer too. This is kind of creepy, though. I didn't even know anyone was around with a camera in some of these… and when I did see cameras, I didn't think they were on us."

Adrian patted his shoulder. "You have a beautiful fiancé who is an up and coming designer… and you happen to be adorable and precious and also beautiful, so you're bound to get your own fangirls… and fanboys."

"Adorable, precious, and beautiful?" Blaine raised his eyebrow.

"We've made out. I have no problem admitting that."

They heard Bob begin to cough from his office.

"Shit, sorry. I didn't know he was here. He's so quiet." Adrian shrugged. He then said a little louder, "Sorry, Bob. In my defense we were drunk… one of us drunker than the other. That one being Blaine… since he fell asleep."

"He's always here." Blaine whispered. "No conversation safe. He just seems to actually pay attention when it's something he doesn't want to hear."

They heard Bob mutter, "Unfortunately."

Adrian grinned when Bob showed up in the doorway.

"Don't you two have work to do?"

"Did you know Kurt's famous?" Adrian asked.

"Good for him. Now get back to work. Tammy Jo is coming in today and the last thing I need for her to see is you two in here talking about… roleplaying and fanfiction? Is roleplaying what I think it is or does it mean something else now?" Bob looked confused. "And why did you two make out? What?"

"Well we were both drunk and single… it's okay. Blaine pretty much fell asleep so apparently it wasn't that good for him." Adrian shrugged.

"I'm sorry. I mean… Kurt. He's so pretty. It's a good thing we got back together because nobody even compares." Blaine let out a little sigh and then tilted his head, looking at the screen. "We're kind of adorable, aren't we?"

"I mean, everyone has been saying that since—"

Bob interrupted them. "Use messenger if you must. If Tammy Jo says one more thing about me not controlling you two, you're both in trouble."

"We don't need controlled. We get all of our work done in a timely manner and happen to have room to talk."

"Yep, Blaine… that's usually when you take on more cases so that doesn't happen." Bob said slowly.

"You were watching Ghost Hunters this morning, Bob." Adrian gave him a look.

"How do you know that?" Bob asked. "Also, I'm almost 49 and I've been in a room alone with at least two terrorists. I can watch Ghost Hunters if I want… I am the one that signs your checks."

"Are not!" Ryan called. "I still forge your signature!"

"It's a figure of speech!"

"Uh no. It's not." Ryan scoffed. "You should google Kurt and Blaine and click on images."

"Why would I want to do that?"

Adrian turned Blaine's computer screen around.

"That's a really good picture of you two—wait, who took that?"

"Paparazzi." Adrian whispered. He then said, "Well, probably fashion students."

"I don't know but those pants look really good on me." Blaine titled his head. "When did Kurt get those shoes? They look expensive."

Bob gave him a look and walked out of the room.

"He loves me. He does." Blaine told Adrian. "He told me so."

"Sorry, Bob." Adrian called, only getting a grunt in response.

"It's okay. He's always a bit grumpy until he takes a break to go and get a sweet tea." Blaine whispered, but it was loud enough for Bob to hear.

"Blaine. Adrian. I am serious." Bob said, sounding annoyed. "If she comes and you two are in there talking about fanfiction and roleplaying, I am literally going to kill you both."

"What's roleplaying and fanfiction?" Tammy Jo asked from Bob's doorway. "You know they're in there chatting again, right? How many times do we have to have the bias talk, Robert?"

"Apparently at least twelve more times." Bob huffed. "Go ask Adrian and Blaine what fanfiction is because I don't even want to know but I can only assume… I lied. Charlie read Harry Potter fanfiction until he was twelve and noticed girls. I tried to have a talk with him about spending so much time online so he started printing off all of these fanfics in, like, size 6 font. No wonder he needs contacts or glasses now, hmm? Dads know best."

"I bet he looks cute in glasses. Oh God. I basically just said you would look cute in glasses." Tammy Jo gasped. "By roleplaying… do you mean… sexually?"

"I mean sometimes but sometimes it's just like telling a story… at least that's what he said? I don't know. Honestly, I try to block out that period of my life."

Blaine could picture Bob's shrug.

"That's what she said." Adrian whispered.

"I hope you know that you created this." Tammy said. "I thought it was bad enough with you and Ryan but you've pulled those two sweet boys into your web of people who don't spend their free time the way they're supposed to."

"Ryan was so much less annoying." Bob sighed.

"Yeah… and he was pretty quiet too." Tammy Jo agreed.

"Was? Ryan still is quiet."

"I heard that, Bob." Blaine pouted.

"You both were supposed to, Blaine and Adrian."

"God, Blaine. Quit distracting me." Adrian jokingly scoffed and left Blaine's office.

"Hey, Adrian." Blaine called. "We have a tag on Instagram too."

"What is it?"

"Klaine."

"Oh my God your curls!" Adrian exclaimed. "It's a good thing I didn't see those curls when we were both single because that could have been a game changer, Blaine."

"Ooh, I want to see!" Tammy Jo walked out of Bob's office quickly and straight into Adrian's office. She then sighed, "Why was he so cute and what happened? Look at how full of life his eyes are… must have been before Harvard."

Blaine huffed, went into Adrian's office, and looked over his shoulder. "Oh my God. Shoot me. Who posted that?"

Adrian clicked on the username.

"Ugh, how did Thad even get that picture? I hope he's not still in love with me because I sent him a wedding invitation."

"Old boyfriend?" Tammy Jo asked sweetly. "Aww, you've still got the cheeks, though. Bob, you should come and see what Blaine looked like as a baby!"

"No thank you. Some of us have to work for our paychecks." Bob called back.

"Well some of us don't have a militia of children to feed, Robert."

"Militia." Adrian snorted loudly as Blaine covered his mouth to keep from laughing out loud.

"One day I'm going to separate you two." Bob called.

"We can't be silenced, Bob." Blaine said in what he thought was a whisper.

"Want to bet?"

"How did he hear that?" Tammy Jo asked, looking confused.

"The energy from his lack of gray hairs is feeding his hearing?" Adrian offered.

"Oh, I just saw a gray one a minute ago. No worries there." Tammy Jo said. "Thank God because I was getting really depressed about that."

"Wait, what? Where?!" Bob asked.

"Just kidding, Bob." Tammy Jo called and then whispered to Blaine and Adrian, "But I'm really not. There is one."

"I can't believe this, Blaine. This is unreal." Kurt said, following Blaine into the apartment that afternoon.

"I can! You deserve this!" Blaine grinned.

Kurt looked like he was holding back his excitement.

Blaine smiled and closed the door.

"OhmyGod!" Kurt bounced a bit. "Only I kind of wish it had waited until after the twins, but oh my God."

"You are amazing. I've been telling you this for years and I will tell you for many more years." Blaine's smile grew. "Want to have celebratory sex?"

"No! It's gender reveal day and I am not going to be late!" Kurt looked at him like he was crazy. He then added, "But definitely after."

"Fine. Go change." Blaine pouted a bit, although honestly he had expected that.

Kurt ran up the stairs, talking as he went. "What do you think they will be?"

Blaine followed. It usually took Kurt forever to pick out an outfit even if he was changing into something more casual, so he may as well take advantage and get into jeans.

"I don't know. It would be nice if it was a boy and a girl. I'll be happy with anything, though."

"I prefer girls… but as long as they're healthy, that's all that matters." Kurt pulled a t-shirt over his head and then changed into jeans himself.

"So, did you know if you go to Google images and type in your name…"

"Yeah. I forwarded the link to Alec. Apparently Eric went straight to the computer to check." Kurt laughed.

"When did you buy those brown shoes?"

Kurt feigned an innocent look. "What brown shoes?"

"I'm just saying you didn't want me to get more running shoes..."

"You don't run."

"Because I don't have shoes for it."

"Right. Because you've run once in the two and a half years you've been a lawyer?" Kurt smiled sweetly and pointed to a barely used pair in the closet.

"Well I don't like those."

Kurt pointed to another pair under the bed. "You have the same problem as me only I actually wear the ones I buy."

Blaine gave him a look. "My shoes cost less than $100. Yours cost at least $400."

"Gotta look the part, right?" Kurt beamed.

"Honestly I like you best right now. In jeans and a t-shirt."

"Expensive t-shirt that doesn't look like it came from Walmart." Kurt corrected as Blaine put his hands on Kurt's waist. "I like you best in nothing."

"Well, I didn't know that was an option but I definitely agree with that. I like me best naked too… especially when you are as well."

Kurt pushed his shoulder playfully and went to put shoes on.

"Seriously, though… I have never even noticed anyone taking pictures… and it definitely isn't professional quality."

"Well, it is New York City. It honestly could be fashion students or just… anybody. Fashion is pretty big here… obviously."

"Why are you grabbing my Harvard windbreaker?"

"Because doctor's offices are cold and honestly I'm slightly creeped out about how many pictures there were." Kurt admitted. "Maybe they won't recognize me."

"Well you look good in that color, so…"

"I look good in every color, Blaine." Kurt grinned, although he was joking. "Come on! I don't want to be late!"

"If you left your hair down, they definitely wouldn't recognize you." Blaine pointed out.

"Let's not get crazy now."

"OhmyGod,I'msonervous!" Kurt grabbed Blaine's arm and shook it an hour later.

Blaine looked up from his phone, raising his eyebrow. "Why?"

"Because they couldn't tell the genders last time. What if they can't this time either?" Kurt asked. "Oh God. What if it's two girls? What if it's a girl and a boy? What if it's two boys?"

"Well that would cover all of the options." Blaine flashed a smile.

"I don't know what I'd do if it were two boys. Feel bad for them because I wasn't even a good boy myself. I played house and walked around in my mom's shoes."

"Aww." Blaine's smile grew. "That's cute."

"Yeah. Dad didn't think so at the time." Kurt laughed and rested his chin on Blaine's shoulder. "I'm so anxious."

"I mean, it is what it is…. Literally. It's not like we can change it." Blaine said.

"But what do you want?" Kurt asked.

"I mean we always said we wanted two girls… but honestly I just want them to be healthy."

"Well, yeah. Me too. But apart from that?"

"I would be happy with whatever but two girls would be nice." Blaine said.

"I bet it's boys because life is cruel." Kurt joked and flexed his hand out. "It still feels kind of… odd."

"I'm sorry." Blaine frowned and gently touched Kurt's hand—even though it did not hurt when it was touched. "It does look a lot better, though."

"Don't apologize. It's my fault. Honestly, I probably shouldn't have punched him but have you ever been so angry you see white?"

"Yeah." Blaine nodded.

"Well I saw white, punched him, felt good about it, and then the pain set in." Kurt sighed a bit and then shrugged. "It's my fault and it doesn't hurt at all anymore. It probably feels weird because my hand got used to the sling."

"That could be it." Blaine nodded. "It doesn't hurt at all?"

"Nope. Not even when I make a fist." Kurt reassured him. He then made a fist, playfully punching Blaine's arm.

Blaine smiled and then it grew. "I hope we get to see what it is. The anticipation is killing me. I keep having dreams about the twins but I can't see their heads. It's stressful."

"I keep having dreams but each time, it's a different combination!" Kurt gasped.

"What shows up most?"

"Boys." Kurt said.

"Well I really want to do that purple nursery from Pinterest. Ugh. I will be a little disappointed if we don't get at least one girl at any point in time. That nursery is just perfect."

"If we get a boy and a girl… do we do the room half and half?" Kurt tilted his head.

"No… I guess we'd do gender neutral?"

"Those ones are boring, though." Kurt sighed a bit and jiggled his leg anxiously. "It takes them so long to get Quinn ready. It's stressful."

"You, my love, are very impatient when it comes to houses and babies."

Kurt rested his head on Blaine's shoulder and yawned.

Blaine smiled and kissed the top of his head.

"God, please. I can't take this." Kurt groaned after half a minute passed.

"Kurt!" Blaine laughed, noticing a pregnant woman laughing at him too.

Kurt sat up straight, jiggling his foot this time. "Are you going back to work again after this?"

"Yeah. Tammy Jo wants a meeting with the partners, the senior supervisors, and the supervisors." Blaine groaned. "After five."

"Why after five?"

"We're usually not gone by then anyway and that way the other people aren't around to hear, I guess. The last time we had one it was about some fourth year lawyer doing illegal things so hopefully it's not something like that." Blaine yawned a bit. "Sorry."

"Did you not sleep well?"

"Not really but it was more thinking about this trial next week than anything else." Blaine admitted.

"What are you having to do for it anyway?"

"Keep Bob's paperwork straight." Blaine snorted. "Among other unpleasant things."

"What about the intern?"

"Yeah… that lasted about a month." Blaine shrugged. "Honestly, though, it was probably for the best. An intern wouldn't have been able to do anything with this paperwork anyway and when Bob gets a case like this, it's pretty much all he can work on."

"Why?"

"Politician is the defendant. Top secret. Blah blah blah."

"Oooh. Yeah, that makes sense. Bob's prosecuting, right?"

"Yeah. He only defends criminals like… I think it was 2% of the time… and that's always when someone bails out of the case and he can't force anyone else to do it. He really doesn't like to venture away from criminal prosecution and civil rights." Blaine sighed and yawned again.

"Why want to do something like that when he's so good with what he usually does?"

"Yeah, I know." Blaine nodded. "If I ever consider doing something political, just shoot me."

"Mmkay." Kurt nodded.

They both hopped up when the person who brought Quinn back came out.

"You two ready?" She smiled.

"Yes!" They both said together, following her back.

When they made it back, the doctor was pushing on Quinn's stomach.

Blaine looked at Kurt, confused. Kurt just shrugged in response.

"We went ahead and tried to start but this one is being stubborn." The doctor said without looking up. "If all else fails we can try the other stuff first and hopefully by the end of the thirty minutes, it'll move."

"I drank the orange juice." Quinn said, waving at them.

"Orange juice?" Blaine looked confused.

"There are some things that can help make the baby move." The tech said. "Apple or orange juice thirty minutes before, walking around, coughing, laughing, poking it."

Quinn faked a cough but it didn't work.

"One is in a position where we can probably see but two isn't. It's probably sleeping." The doctor said, giving up. "I'm sure the sugar will wake it up but if not, we've got a couple of other things to try."

"Soon you two should be able to feel the babies kick from the outside too." The tech added, turning her computer on.

"Really?" Kurt's eyes lit up.

"Within two weeks I'm sure. Twins are a little smaller so that's probably why you haven't been able to yet." The doctor said, pouring the gel on Quinn's belly.

Quinn poked the side of her stomach and sighed. "Nothing. This one was literally moving two hours ago. It wouldn't stop… but the one lower was asleep. That one is always super active when I'm getting ready for bed too… but the other when I wake up."

"Well, hopefully they'll synch up before they're born or you'll be some very tired daddies." The doctor laughed and put the wand lower on Quinn's stomach.

Kurt watched the screen, seeing a leg kick. "Oh my God, Blaine! Did you see that?"

"No, what?" Blaine, who was paying attention to the doctor's hand and not the screen, looked up.

"Baby A just kicked." The tech laughed.

"No!" Blaine groaned. His eyes lit up when it kicked again.

"One listens." The doctor laughed this time.

"Yeah. The one that's awake." Kurt said. "Can you tell what it is?"

"I can but I'm hoping by the time we finish Baby B will move and I can tell you both at the same time." The doctor smiled.

Kurt watched the usual—green and yellow cursers and arrows popping up on the screen with measurements. He noticed Quinn poking at the baby that was higher up again.

"Any luck, Quinn?" Blaine asked.

"No." Quinn shook her head.

"That orange juice was fifteen minutes ago. It doesn't take much longer than twenty for the baby to feel it. They usually react to sugar or caffeine." The doctor said and then looked at Kurt and Blaine. "See how you can make out everything better than last time? "

Kurt nodded.

"They can hear better so it's a good time to read and sing to the babies. They're getting stronger too so soon you'll be able to feel them kick on the outside." She added. "And they can probably recognize Quinn's voice now but the more you're around her, they'll start to recognize yours too."

"A is quite a bit bigger too. 12.7 ounces and 26 inches long." The tech said as the baby kicked again.

"Was that— ?!"

"Yes!" Kurt nodded, squeezing Blaine's hand.

"Can you feel that?" Blaine asked Quinn.

"All day every day. This one moves a lot more than the other." Quinn laughed.

"Is that normal?" Kurt asked the doctor.

"I wouldn't worry. Some babies are just more active than others." The doctor said as the tech printed off three pictures. "Here is Baby A's face. Can you see the little hand by its face? And the fingers?"

The tech made the mouse move on the screen.

"Oh my God." Blaine said, trying very hard not to tear up.

Because little fingers.

"And you can see the baby's brain." She moved the wand. "And the bottom of a little foot."

"Okay. Do we want to know the baby's gender now? There's a chance we might not be able to get Baby B to move." She asked.

"Yes!" Kurt said and then looked at Blaine. "I mean… if you want to…"

"Yes." Blaine nodded and laughed.

The tech made an arrow appear.

"And that right there shows you have one adorable little boy."

Kurt's jaw dropped and Blaine let out a loud laugh.

"Oh my God. I don't know whether to laugh or cry right now. I might do both." Kurt said, playfully punching Blaine's arm.

"Maybe the other one is a girl since it's less active?" Quinn asked.

"It's possible." The doctor said and moved the wand over. "Need to pee? That may be our last ditch effort."

"I can try." Quinn said, getting up. "I'll be back."

"You should walk to the one downstairs because sometimes that will wake up baby." The tech said and led Quinn out. "I can show you where it's at."

"A boy." Blaine shook Kurt's arm excitedly. "I guess we have to get the pee pee teepee's like Marcy and David said."

"Oh God." Kurt shook his head. "Do we have to?"

"Trust me. It's better than a mouthful of pee. Two of my kids are boys and they both peed in my mouth at least three times each." The doctor said. "At any rate, I'd keep extra toothbrushes on hand in case."

"Oh God." Kurt eyes widened.

"I think he thought it was going to be a girl." Blaine said. "Like he thought it wouldn't be twins even though they run in my family."

"Hey, stranger things have happened." The doctor said, laughing. "And honestly—I'll say this and it will be a girl, watch it— boys are so much easier. My daughter is a preteen right now and I can't wait until she's 20 and the hormones even out. Boys are pretty easy and low maintenance for the most part… In my and my husband's case at least."

"Really?" Kurt asked.

"Oh yes. The boys were rowdy from five to eight but then they calmed down. All kids are different, though, so don't quote me on that if your twins are the opposite." She nodded as Quinn came back in.

"I don't know if it moved the right way but something definitely moved when we were walking back up." Quinn said excitedly, stepping back onto the table with Kurt's help.

"Okay. Let's see Baby B. Maybe B for boy?" The doctor asked, putting some more gel on Quinn's stomach. She then moved the wand. "Yes. I can probably work with this."

Kurt let out a little squeak of excitement.

"The not so fun stuff comes first, Kurt. Sorry." The doctor laughed as the tech started taking measurements.

"I'm used to it by now." Kurt said, squeezing Blaine's hand.

"They're still racing but A is ahead… not by much, though." The tech said. "They'll probably race all the way until they're born."

"Placenta looks good." The doctor added. "They aren't crowding each other too much yet. Give it a couple of months and they'll be kicking Mom and each other. Ooh, there went a hand."

"I saw it that time too." Blaine whispered excitedly, squeezing Kurt's hand.

"Another arm… little leg and a foot… a butt…" The doctor said as she moved it around. "Sorry, I'll go back. We need to look at the brain… which still looks perfect. As far as I can tell, we're still growing two perfectly healthy babies."

"That's great but what is it?" Kurt looked at her expectantly as she moved the wand back down.

"I would suggest you two invest in double the pee pee teepees." The tech said.

Kurt's eyes teared up as Blaine hugged him from behind. He then sniffed, "There goes your purple nursery from Pinterest. Sorry, Blaine."

Blaine laughed—and Kurt could tell he was crying or close to it too.

"I can tell you Boy A is going to be your hyper one already." Quinn laughed. "He's kicking again."

"Sometimes you'll think a baby is a girl and it will be a shy boy, but there's really no way think a boy is a boy and it end up a girl." The tech said. "So, you two can officially start the fun shopping."

"That would be pretty odd if that happened." Kurt wiped his eyes, laughing.

Blaine went over, squeezing Quinn's hand tightly.

"Don't even. You are both welcome." Quinn said before Blaine could thank her, sitting as the tech handed Kurt 2 copies of all the pictures and then placed Quinn's set by her bag.

"Do you want us to wait outside until you're done?" Kurt sniffled.

"No, it's okay." She smiled and patted his arm. "You two go buy some cute boy outfits before you get back to work."

"I wish I could." Blaine sighed. "I have to go back to actually work. I seem to have a meeting after all of these appointments unfortunately and if I don't get caught up, I may be there until the twins are born."

"Boys. The boys are born." Kurt grinned.

"Yes. The boys are born. Wow. That sounds so weird."

"Oh, you've got four months." The doctor waved her hand, smiling. "You've got plenty of time… and you'll be getting time off when the twins are born so you can look forward to that."

"See you in a few weeks." Kurt said cheerfully after giving Quinn's hand a big squeeze.

"I'll text you later." She promised, smiling. "Bye, Blaine."

"Bye!" Blaine waved.

Kurt walked out, closing the door behind him, and then looked at Blaine with wide blue eyes. "I'm screwed. I was the least boyish boy that ever existed."

Blaine put his hand on Kurt's lower back, nudging him forward. He then joked, "Let's be real. Obviously neither of us were successful in that area since we ended up gay."

Kurt rolled his eyes, waved to the person at the reception desk, and then pushed the office's door open.

"We'll be fine." Blaine promised. "I've said it before and I will continue to say it again. If Wes can raise a child, we can raise a child. By the way, did I tell you that Scarlett keeps telling her daycare teacher that she wants gay?"

"Oh God." Kurt covered his face with his hand once he got into Blaine's car.

"I know. Just recently, too. That was, like, months ago." Blaine said. "Are you sure you don't want me to drop you off at your work?"

"It's not even on the way and you'll get stuck in the awful traffic. Honestly, I would rather walk there." Kurt admitted. "Plus, the sooner you get to do your work stuff, the sooner you get off. And maybe we can go look at baby stuff?"

Blaine looked at him with heart eyes.

"Quit being so cute!" Kurt laughed loudly.

"I can't help it."

"Yeah. I know you can't." Kurt sighed. "Your hoodie is so comfortable by the way."

"Well, I hope so." Blaine said, pulling into the parking lot of his work.

"Hey. Is that… Alex?" Kurt asked, undoing his seatbelt and grabbing his messenger bag from the back seat.

"Uh… yeah. It is."

"I didn't know you invited him over. Is he staying for dinner?"

"I… uhm… didn't." Blaine's stomach knotted up.

Alex had just 'dropped in' a handful of times and it was never very good—but also nothing that would have him waiting at Blaine's work.

"Oh God." Kurt groaned before getting out of the car. "You don't look too happy to see us, Alex."

Alex, who was sitting in his driver's seat, looked up.

"Hi, Kurt!" Danny, who was in the front passenger seat, leaned over and waved excitedly.

"Oh my God. You're so big!" Kurt gasped as Alex got out of the car, going straight towards Blaine who was already on his way over.

"Yeah. That's what everyone says." Danny shrugged, also getting out and going to hug Kurt. "I haven't seen you since you proposed!"

"Sorry. We've been super busy." Kurt frowned, hugging him and dying a little inside knowing this was what Blaine must have looked like at ten years old. And Danny was precious.

"I'm ten now!" Danny pulled away.

"When I met you, you were three." Kurt smiled.

"I know… but I don't remember."

Kurt laughed.

"Daddy's here because Grandpa broke into our house last night." Danny said.

"What?" Kurt asked sharply, drawing Blaine and Alex's attention.

"Are you… can we maybe go inside?" Alex asked Blaine.

"Yeah but the walls in my office aren't super thick." Blaine nodded.

"It's probably better than out here." Alex sighed before giving Kurt a hug. "How's your hand?"

"Better." Kurt said.

"I bet it was worth it?"

"Pretty much, yes. Honestly I would do it daily." Kurt told him as they walked behind Blaine and Danny. "Is that what Blaine looked like at ten?"

"Oh yeah." Alex nodded.

"Why is it that every time we have a big baby appointment, something big happens?" Blaine sighed.

"Big baby appointment?" Alex looked intrigued.

"They're both boys." Blaine grinned and hopped a bit in place.

"Yeah, good luck with that!" Alex laughed. "This mini-Blaine over here was a nightmare and there was only one."

"He says I still am." Danny told Blaine, grinning.

"Nightmare?" Kurt looked worried as Blaine held open the back door.

"It's the second door down." Blaine told Danny and then Alex once he made it up there.

"Nightmare is a slight exaggeration… and he was our first, so we were probably just better prepared when the girls came along." Alex promised. "You've got your tradeoffs, I'm sure. Elena is already sassy as all get out and she's still technically a toddler. Four is still a toddler, right?"

"Maybe?" Blaine shrugged and sat on his desk.

"Blaine." Kurt looked amused.

"So you can have the other seat. Trust me. I've sat on here many times." Blaine shrugged.

"You'll be fine with boys, though." Alex said. "Danny was a lot more fun as a baby and toddler."

"Yeah because I'm not a girl." Danny said as if it was the most obvious thing in the world.

"Give it five years and you'll change your mind." Alex said in an offhand way. He then added, "Or maybe you won't. Blaine and Kurt didn't obviously."

Danny rolled his eyes and pulled out his cell phone.

"And then they turn ten and that's what you see." Alex pointed.

"Did Blaine's—well, your dad really break into your house yesterday?" Kurt asked since Danny was distracted.

"Yes. Danny and I had gone to pick up this new book he's been wanting to read—he'd begged me to for days and I finally gave in so he'd shut up… which, by the way, worked because he shut himself in his room and read the whole thing in one sitting." Alex said.

"So he broke in when Mia was alone with Elena and the twins?" Blaine asked.

"As soon as I pulled in, I fucking knew it was him because it's that same car. I don't know why he didn't lose it because he sure isn't paying the bills on that thing. I can tell you that much." Alex scoffed.

"What did you do?"

"Well I knew the police wouldn't take it seriously from me so I called my cop friend in Westerville. He called Providence PD who literally were there two minutes after I walked into the house. They got there crazy fast." Alex said.

"Well what happened when you went in?"

"They're all just sitting in the living room. Elena is old enough to know there is a creepy stranger in her house so she's terrified and wailing. Mia was just on the couch with all three of them and he was standing all creepy by the front door waiting for me like he thinks he's out of some thriller movie or something. It's fucking ridiculous. I have never been so pissed off in my life— except for when you got into that bad accident and we found out they'd cut you off the insurance and that thing when I was seventeen. Funny he's the only one that pisses me off that much, huh?"

"Wait." Blaine said. "What did Dad say to you?"

"I don't even fucking know. I was so pissed that it was literally like he was talking but my brain wasn't even registering his voice. I made Mia, Danny, and the girls go into the backyard so they wouldn't see Grandpa being arrested."

"He cursed a lot." Danny chirped. "Nonna wouldn't have liked that very much, Dad."

"Yeah well she would have understood." Alex shook his head and then continued, "He's just all creepy waiting for me to get home like I'd see him in the living room and write him a fucking check or something. Are you serious right now? And then they arrested him."

"I still watched and it was awesome." Danny chirped once more.

"It was very satisfying." Alex agreed. "But then Mom calls three hours later crying about all of this stupid shit. I don't even know. I was so over it that I hung up on her three sentences in. Usually I can tolerate a very short conversation with her but she knew what he was doing. She just lets him do whatever the fuck he wants. Why did they even have us? They obviously have no interest in being parents."

"Well you know about him showing up in our old house in April… he also showed up here in November. It was awful." Blaine said after nearly a minute of silence, not really sure how to answer that question.

"At work?" Alex said. "Why didn't you call me about that?"

"I don't know. I just want this all to go away." Blaine groaned.

"What did he do here?"

"He came into the office, snuck around, and just walked into my office. He threatened to bring up the DUI to the partners here. He forced me out—so he had to know how close I was to the parking lot. He pushed me up against one of the lawyer's car and was just saying his usual stuff. My boss came out and got between me and Dad. Then my other boss and two supervisors came out too."

"But what did he say? And do?"

"The usual. I'm a faggot, a disappointment, make the family look bad, wished he'd drowned me or aborted me, wished I would kill myself."

"He said this in front of four lawyers?"

"Five if you include me." Blaine said quietly, hoping Adrian wouldn't hear. "But I was pretty much having a nervous breakdown because he kept bringing up this stuff from when I was younger… He says the stuff that he knows will upset me the most because I turn into this panicky person who can't breathe and then I get so overwhelmed I just cry myself into a panic attack. He's done it so many times since I was eleven… same thing, just a different topic. He knows exactly what to do to just freeze me."

"I'm so sorry, Blaine." Alex looked at him.

"It's fine. I mean, it'd be different if I expected it and had time to mentally prepare you know but he always shows up out of nowhere." Blaine shrugged a bit and sighed. "I think I just… hadn't heard from him in forever and he just shows up out of the blue. Every time I think maybe he's going to leave me alone for good, he pops up to spread joy and cheer."

"How did he know how to get to your office, though? I mean, yours within the building."

"I don't know. He just told me how easy it was to find me. It was so embarrassing." Blaine sighed, feeling anxious just thinking about it.

"Also." Alex turned to face Kurt. "Kurt, you are so awesome."

Kurt looked at him, confused.

"Your hit him so hard you knocked him over and got a boxer's fracture. Oh my God. My lifelong dream is to deck him in the face."

"Well…" Kurt shrugged.

"Yeah and even if Dad complained, he'd get arrested for breaking the PPO and Kurt was protecting me from imminent danger so it was pretty stupid… and reckless." Blaine said. "500 feet from me is probably not in my living room. Just saying. The worst thing is we had just gotten the two cribs and two car seats the day before and they were leaning against the wall so he knows we're about to have two babies. That's the scariest part for me."

"But you moved and your new house is really nice." Alex said.

"Thanks." Blaine said. "They put out a warrant for Dad's arrest but I don't think anything came from it."

"Oh yes. Something did." Alex said. "When he broke into my house, they took him in based off of what happened at your place and then breaking and entering for my house."

"So he's in jail again?" Kurt asked hopefully.

"No. He was but somebody bailed him out two hours later but he's got to appear for court in a week or two… which means he'll be very close to me… and you." Alex looked between Kurt and Blaine. "You two haven't updated your driver's license and stuff yet, have you?"

"Well, I've only updated it in the work system." Blaine said.

"I haven't." Kurt shook his head.

"I think we've only slept there the last three nights… We closed ten days ago when you saw the place but it's been kind of chaotic." Blaine said. "Some huge blogger put Kurt on their list as the number one designer to watch for… and it made it into Vogue magazine too. He's had stuff in there before but I think coming from that blogger just… made it blow up."

"That is awesome, Kurt!" Alex said. "Congrats!"

"Thanks." Kurt smiled at him.

"I would maybe hold off on doing your licenses and mail forwarding for a bit." Alex told them. "If you can just swing by the old house and get your mail?"

"That's a good idea." Kurt looked at Blaine.

"Are you all getting a restraining order?" Blaine asked Alex.

"Yeah. EPO now and I guess he has to come back for the PPO… but there's a chance they won't see my dad as a big enough threat to issue the permanent one… however, since you all have one and he's done this twice to you that will probably help." Alex shrugged.

"Definitely tell them because it probably will." Blaine said without hesitation. "I can even get the judge's information who issued mine if they need to confirm directly. It can be a lot quicker than waiting for all of the channels to go through."

"That is really good to know." Alex said.

"No. You do not get to talk right now, Emily."

Blaine looked up, hearing Bob and presumably Emily coming down the hallway.

"Why not, Daddy?"

"Because I just had to pick you up from school for kicking someone and then biting them in the leg."

"Daddy, he was annoying me."

"If I kicked and bit people I thought were annoying, I'd be put in jail, Emily."

"It's okay. Jakey would get you out. Remember that one time?"

"I wasn't in jail. My car had a flat tire and he brought me a new one."

"That's not what I told my teacher. I told her you were in jail." There was silence and after 15 seconds they heard Emily giggling. "Why do you look annoyed?"

"I'm regretting my decision to not buy condoms ten years ago."

"What does that mean? What's a condom?"

"Okay. I am trying so hard not to laugh." Alex whispered.

"She is probably everyone's favorite person in the office and she's barely here." Blaine whispered back. "The greatest thing is she sounds just like her mom."

"Oh my god, Emily. I have to work and you have to shut up."

"No you don't. You're the boss… also, telling people to shut up is rude."

"It's also rude to bite people." Bob scoffed. "I wouldn't be the boss if I didn't work."

"Make other people do your work. That's what bosses do." Emily said, as if it was obvious.

"If I'm the boss, why don't you listen to me?"

"You're not my boss. Mommy is. You're everybody else's boss, Daddy. But not Mommy's because she's her own boss too."

Blaine took a deep breath—Ryan, who loved Emily, would be so sad he missed this.

"Do your homework."

"No. I don't want to, Daddy."

"Where is your mother?"

"Probably the loony bin like you."

"What?"

"Yeah. She says me and Sammy put you in the loony bin. Is this the loony bin?"

"I am not loony. Mommy is loony."

"But you said Mommy's always right. Are you both loony? Are we Loony Tunes? Can I be the green baby duck who flushes the stuff down the toilet?"

There was silence. At least thirty seconds of it.

"Daddy, why aren't you answering? Are you calling Momma?"

"Shh." Bob said. "Hey! I know you aren't in class. If you come pick your sister up right now I'll give you $500 and buy those Twenty One Pilot tickets… this is why you are my favorite. Yes. I do say that to everyone who helps me. Just take the compliment."

"Hey!" They heard a foot stomp. "That's rude. I'm the favorite because I'm the only girl."

"Get your backpack. We are going to go wait outside for your brother or you will put me in the loony bin." Bob said.

"Which one?" Emily whined.

"Brady."

"YAYYY!" Emily ran down the hall towards the exist.

"Hi." Blaine waved when Bob walked by, still sitting on his desk.

"Blaine, what are you doing sitting on your—you know what. I don't even care." Bob continued walking down the hallway.

"Please tell me you heard that too, Blaine." Adrian called through the wall.

"Yes. It was glorious." Blaine called back.

"Hi, Kurt!"

"Hi, Adrian." Kurt laughed.

"Is that… the one you're super close to? The one who is like the third in the state?" Alex asked.

"Yes." Blaine covered his mouth, trying not to laugh.

Because from the outside—he could totally see why that would be amusing. Bob had been alone in rooms with terrorists but had a hard time controlling his own daughter.

"See? Girls are evil." Danny chirped, looking up from his book.

"It's so funny, though." Kurt whispered. "He can be such an ass but when it comes to his wife and his daughter, he can't do it."

"Yeah. He either gives in or just ends up laughing." Blaine nodded and looked up when Bob halted outside of his doorway and looked at him.

"I didn't know you had any meetings today, Blaine."

Which Blaine knew meant 'I keep track of when people shouldn't be in your office because we are not having a November repeat.'

"This is my brother, Alex." Blaine smiled, hoping it would let Bob know that it was okay.

Alex waved. "Hi."

"This is the scariest person in the office." Blaine said cheerfully. "I think they put me by him so he'd laugh every once in a while."

Bob gave Blaine a look and then went to shake Alex's hand. His eyes then widened when he saw Danny. "Oh my God. Is this a mini Blaine?"

Kurt couldn't help but let out a loud laugh.

"They're cute until they end up like that." Alex pointed at Blaine. "Or, you know… probably once he hits thirteen."

Danny didn't even glance up from his book.

"This is my Bob." Blaine said.

"Your Bob?" Bob gave him a look.

"It's easier than the whole explanation and I'm tired." Blaine raised a hand carelessly in the air and let it fall. "It's been a day."

"Danny, say hello to Blaine's boss."

Danny glance up, gave an adorable smile and wave, then went back to his book.

"Those curls."

"Hey, you make fun of my curls." Blaine scoffed.

"Well you're an adult." Bob said.

"So… Blaine's dad is in the area." Kurt said, knowing Blaine wouldn't tell him.

"What?" Bob asked sharply.

"Well, close. Providence." Alex said. "I don't really know where he is now."

"Yeah. He pretty much walked into Alex's house when he and my Danny were out…" Blaine added.

"Yeah. Only my wife, three year old, and almost two year old twin girls were home." Alex scowled.

"Was he arrested?" Bob asked.

"For like twenty minutes. I've seen him be shitty but breaking and entering? Grandma dies and everyone goes to freaking Loony Toon Town… its your daughter's fault. She mentioned the green duck. I love that green duck." Alex said and then looked at Blaine. "I'm serious. You call me the next time something happens. We need to keep track of this and call the police every single time so there will be a report."

"I will." Blaine said. "I am."

"What he did yesterday is nothing compared to what he did to you two months ago… and coming to your work? Doing that in front of people?" Alex looked at him and then Kurt very seriously. "Let's not even mention the fact that he shouldn't have even known I was back in the country. There is some creepy stuff going on somewhere."

"Facebook, Dad." Danny sighed without looking up from his book.

"Shit." Alex cursed and pulled out his phone, holding it out for Blaine. "They've got new phone numbers by the way. Put these in your phone and block them."

Blaine took the phone, doing as told.

"Wait." Bob interrupted. "When was he in Rhode Island?"

"Last night." Alex told him.

"Blaine, pull up your security cameras on your computer." Bob said, walking behind Blaine's desk.

Blaine hopped down from his desk and went behind it as well.

"There." Bob said suddenly.

Blaine hit the start button, looking confused. They could then see his dad walking up to the house. "Alex… he was there."

"Thirty minutes ago." Bob said. "How does he know you moved there?"

"I've only updated my address in CMJ's system. I have no idea." Blaine said as Alex came behind the desk to look too.

"I haven't updated anything yet." Kurt said, frowning.

Danny had closed his book and was watching the three men behind the desk—this must have been more interesting than his book.

"He didn't break in." Blaine told Kurt. "He can't see in but he knows it's our house. He has to."

"Yeah. I don't know how he even knows I'm in the freaking country." Alex said and then pointed at the screen. "But this is fucking creepy. He is literally off his rocker."

Kurt didn't say anything, just stared at Blaine with wide blue eyes.

"I don't understand the endgame here." Alex continued. "He's not getting money from us. He has no legal obligation to it. Why does he think he can just keep popping up and we'll give it to him?"

Bob stepped out of the room and they could hear him talking to the police on his phone.

"Blaine." Kurt said quietly. "The twins will be here in late October or early November… your dad knows where we live again. We've had a permanent protective order in place and this makes the second time he's pulled this. We just bought this house."

"No." Alex said. "Don't freak out, Kurt. I mean… he can't do this forever." Alex said. "Eventually he has to get bored and move on."

"Well, he also hasn't gotten bored of torturing me yet so I don't know about that." Blaine made a face.

"Will they put another warrant out?" Kurt asked.

"Technically he didn't break in or talk to us and we're more than 500 feet away… but this counts as stalking so they should." Blaine said. "Even if they do, it's not like he's at the house now. Seriously. How do we go from being so excited two hours ago to this?"

"Listen." Alex said. "It's still a good day! Soon you'll be daddies and it's great… We'll figure something out with Dad. Eventually something's got to give."

Kurt glanced out the doorway, thinking it was probably good that Emily had left. He could hear Bob talking on the phone in what could only be his lawyer voice and man was it serious. He wouldn't have wanted Bob questioning him on a trial… It honestly would have been scary if he didn't know Bob and knew how he really was.

"Uh… he gets stuff done, doesn't he?" Alex asked.

"Well, he is the third best in the state... and his best friend is the first."

"Okay… if the third best has been in rooms alone with terrorists, what does his best friend do?" Alex asked.

"That's a good question." Kurt said.

"He's big on criminal law too but mostly murder, violent crimes, big drug charges." Blaine said. "Same as the second highest in the state… who actually works with a firm that our office works with quite a bit. Apparently those two are neck and neck every year but they get along super well."

"Damn." Alex said. "Yeah. I'm good with IT. Are you going to take cases like that, Blaine?"

"God, I hope not." Kurt's eyes widened.

"I mean, eventually. I'm not really comfortable enough to do that yet… plus, my bosses monitor what I do and they're good about telling me what I should or shouldn't take." Blaine said, shrugging. "I think it will be a few years before I even formally assist with one of those cases, though. The most I've done is help prep but nothing enough to be listed as a team member or anything."

"Yeah… Definitely good with IT." Alex repeated. "And definitely a little worried about you now."

"Don't worry. Bob won't let me get into too much trouble." Blaine grinned when Bob came back in.

"They're putting two cars outside of your house and they've got an officer patrolling the area. Obviously if an emergency happens they'll get called away but they're going to have people around." Bob sighed, leaning against the doorframe. He then looked at Kurt. "Are you going back to work?"

"I was going to but… should I?" Kurt asked.

"That should be fine but don't go home alone just in case." Bob said. "If you beat Blaine home, just go over to my house… or you could come here. I may see if Tammy will let us reschedule the meeting. And I think… that we should get Jake involved in this."

Blaine's eyes widened.

"He knows more people, he has more connections, and he knows how to get stuff done because he's been working in this city for 25 years." Bob said. "We need to find out how your dad is getting all of this information and honestly I have no idea how to find that out. I don't want to put your safety at risk when someone else can do the job better…"

"Should… I mean…" Alex said.

"I would rather be too cautious than not cautious enough and something happen. This is the third time he's broke the PPO. He obviously has no disregard for the law. Blaine and Kurt needs to be safe… you all need to be safe. Do you have a lawyer?"

"I didn't think I needed one…" Alex said slowly, glancing at Danny who was clearly too into his book to even know what was going on around him.

"He broke into Blaine's house once already and now he's creeping around… he will probably do the same to your house too and you've got little kids in there." Bob said. "It's not worth the risk."

Alex scowled, but nodded. Did he want to go through all of that? No. But it was probably worth it if Blaine's boss was recommending it.

"I'm sorry. You came back to the states and…" Blaine frowned.

"Stop." Alex said. "This is not your fault. Honestly, I hope he does come back so I can pull a Kurt and punch him in the jaw."

"Highly recommend it." Kurt said very seriously. "Even when it hurt the most… still totally worth it."

Blaine rolled his eyes, smiling a bit.

Alex sighed when his cellphone started to ring. "Blaine, I've gotta go. It's work. But this isn't your fault, okay?"

Blaine nodded, although he didn't look convinced.

"Call me or text me every day—and for sure let me know if anything else happens, alright?" Alex said. "Come on, Curls."

Danny stood, shooting Alex a very annoyed look. He then went to hug Kurt and Blaine.

"Call, Blaine." Alex gave him what could only be a 'dad' face and then left with Danny.

"Both of you," Bob said as Jake—who was probably waiting for Alex to leave— came into Blaine's office. "Did you tell anyone your new address apart from the people that are closest to you?"

"No. I mean honestly… you guys, David, Wes, Adrian, and Matt helped. That's, like, it." Blaine said.

"Did you update your license? Have old mail forwarded? Let your car insurance know?" Jake asked. "Anything either of the two of you have that is tied back to Ohio where he may have connections?"

"Well… obviously the utility companies have updated information." Kurt said. "But I haven't really updated anything of mine yet. We've only actually stayed there the last three nights but we're still moving stuff and cleaning the old one."

"Well then your dad has a mole somewhere." Jake said, although he was looking at Bob.

"What about that one guy you went to school with? Does he live here still?" Blaine asked. "You know, Asshole?"

Bob turned a laugh into a cough.

"No. He is happily engaged and living in LA." Kurt shook his head. "Thad isn't here, is he?"

"Oh, God. He's harmless, Kurt."

"He likes every single thing you post on social media."

"Don't jump on David's crazy train, okay? Just because he wants in my pants and I'm engaged doesn't mean he's going to go weird… Honestly, I wish he'd just manned up. We could have just had sex when we were fifteen and all gone on with our lives." Blaine sighed.

"You did not just say that in front of your boss." Kurt sighed, covering his face.

"I did." Blaine chirped.

"Blaine." Jake interrupted. "Is there anyone that you may have upset enough that they would want to retaliate?"

Blaine looked thoughtful and then cringed.

"I need you to tell me everything from the beginning and don't leave anything out—even if it's bad or incriminating."

Blaine glanced at Bob. "Camp."

Kurt looked at Blaine, bewildered.

"Camp?" Jake questioned.

"Alright. Let's all four move to the downstairs conference room." Bob, who knew if it was about the camp that it couldn't be good, looked between the three of them.

"Can I ask… why we're doing this?" Blaine asked, following Kurt, Jake, and Bob into the hallway.

Bob locked Blaine's office door, pulled the key off of his own keyring, and spoke. "You leave this room, you lock this door. Even if it's just to go to the bathroom."

"Okay but I don't understand." Blaine said, adding it to the keychain with his home and car key on it. "What are we doing this for?"

"I don't want to talk about this right here." Bob said to where only Blaine could hear it. His voice was getting close to Annoyed Bob. "Let's go downstairs and we'll all four talk."

Jake headed downstairs with Kurt, talking but about absolutely nothing… probably to not cause suspicion.

"It's okay. I wouldn't let anybody hurt you or put them in a position to do it." Bob met Blaine's eyes with his own.

Blaine didn't speak but nodded.

Blaine and Bob went down the stairs, Bob beginning some story about Miles and cheese. Once they were in the conference room and the door was closed, he quit talking.

"Blaine. I don't think you've done anything." Jake said, sitting at the table by Kurt. "I know you didn't but we need to figure out who is giving your dad information. This isn't some random person. This is someone you know, someone you know of, or have known at one point. I need to know who is getting this information and getting it to your father. This is not happening again."

"You can't stop it. He'll keep coming back. He always comes back." Blaine took a deep breath as his eyes teared up. "It has always been this way."

Because, really?

How do you go that long without seeing him and now see him more often then the mailman? Like, seriously?

And now Bob was hauling him down to the office's equivalent of a basement to talk about his life?

Really?

Honestly, Blaine didn't have time for it.

"Oh, this is ending." Bob said, sitting next to Blaine—they were across from Kurt and Jake.. "I am going to find out who is getting your information and passing it on. Then I'm going to have your dad arrested for violating the PPO at least twice and this other person arrested for being an accomplice to a crime… He is not getting away with this. It's over. It's ending now."

"Don't get upset, Blaine." Jake said gently. "The fact of the matter is I know a lot of people in this state… this part of the country, really. I've been practicing law here since I passed the bar. I promise you I know a lot more than your dad even if your grandma was a politician. And if I can't find an answer, you best bet I know someone who can."

Blaine took a deep breath and nodded. "I hear you but who you know doesn't matter."

Jake came around the table and kneeled a bit, putting his hand on Blaine's shoulder. "It does matter. Knowing the right person is all it takes… and the odds are in your favor. Well, technically mine… but you know what I mean… Kurt, you should go sit over here with him too."

Kurt, who had honestly been wanting to the whole time, sat next to Blaine as Jake went back to his seat across from Blaine.

"We're finishing this, you two. Okay? You've got the number one and number three lawyer in the state in this room with you. There is a reason we're here, you know. We get shit done." Bob said.

Blaine took another deep breath, feeling better when Kurt grabbed his hand and squeezed it.

"For the record… none of this information leaves this room without your permission. And anything you say will not jeopardize your job or anything like that. It's just Jake and I and you know I would never do anything to hurt you or your job." Bob added. "Not that I think anything you've done would but if there was something… we won't talk about it again after we leave this room if that's what you want."

"Okay." Blaine nodded.

"We need to find out who is getting this information on you and how they are getting it." Jake said gently. "Telling us may not help… but it also might and that makes it worth it in my opinion. Nothing leaves this room so you have nothing to lose."

Blaine nodded again.

Because even if he didn't know Jake super well, it was also Bob. Bob who had seen him break down at least twice and who was always there when Blaine needed him— no matter what time or day, no matter how big or small the issue, no matter what else he was working on.

If there was anybody he trusted as much as Kurt, David, and Wes… it was Bob.

"I'm going to record this, though, okay? On my work phone with nobody can get into without my fingerprint." Bob looked him in the eyes.

"Okay." Blaine nodded as Bob turned the video option on his cell phone on. He then pushed it aside—all it could record was the ceiling but it was still close enough to record their voices.

Was he thrilled about that? No.

But he also knew Bob would never do anything to hurt him or that would put him in danger. And if Bob trusted Jake, then Blaine trusted Jake.

"Blaine, how many people do you know that live here? Not counting work related." Jake asked, his tone gentle too.

Which did help.

And the fact that they were the first and third ranked lawyers in the city.

"Kurt's got a lot of friends from Lima here."

"Is that where you're from?"

"No. I'm from Westerville. It's a couple of hours away." Blaine took another deep breath. "He stayed at my prep school for a couple of months and that's pretty much how we met each other. He ended up going back there after we dated, so that's how I know them. My two best friends from Westerville are here too, though."

"Are you friends with any of Kurt's friends?"

"Yeah. I mean, all our friends have always gotten along. My friends love Kurt, his friends love me." Blaine sniffled. "And our friends intermingle with each other anyway."

"Is anybody going through financial issues?"

"My stepbrother and best friend are… she's also my sister in law." Kurt admitted.

"They are?" Blaine asked.

"Yeah… a bit." Kurt nodded, squeezing his hand.

"They would never do that, though." Blaine said quickly to Bob and Jake.

"Are you sure?" Jake asked.

"Yes. They are literally family. The real kind, not the blood kind." Blaine's voice was firm. "The friend circle is really tight knit. Nobody would do anything to anyone. It's not anyone from Ohio… at least not in our friend circle."

"Okay." Bob nodded. "How many people from Cambridge?"

"Well, I mean, just the ones you know. Adrian, AJ, Matt, and then people that came from CMJ." Blaine shrugged. "I know other people but nobody well enough that they'd know anything about me before I went to law school. Honestly, I don't like to even think about it that much… Adrian was my first friend and I met AJ through him… and then Matt through Adrian too. Anyone else is just acquaintances."

"Does anybody have any information on you that could be used against you?" Jake asked. "Not just someone from school?"

"Yes. There were a couple of things."

"What?" Jake asked.

Bob sat up straight at that but Kurt's facial expression didn't change—he knew everything, after all. There was nothing he and Blaine didn't know about each other. Not really.

"Well I did get a DUI when I was sixteen. I stole my friend's car because I was pissed. Nothing happened. They set up a roadblock… but I still got arrested. My grandmother or dad had it pulled. I don't even think there is a hard copy of old paperwork. People… did stuff for her." Blaine frowned.

"Anything else?"

Blaine took another deep breath. "Well… Did you hear about the whole camp thing?"

"Yes." Jake nodded. "Just that you were sent there and they were threatening to out you… Sorry about that."

"Thanks… I didn't get arrested or anything but when I was there but I pissed off quite a few super Christian people and ended up getting kicked out when I was barely sixteen or seventeen. People would sneak out and get alcohol. I got drunk once… Well, more than once… but I woke up and I'd obviously had sex. I couldn't remember it but… and then I just had a lot of sex. With a lot of people. Some at the camp and some back home. But it was never relationships and nothing happened to make them mad or want to get back at me or anything… Well, except one."

"How many people do you think you slept with?" Bob asked gently.

"Exactly twenty not counting Kurt but not even most of the guys were at the camp... I still had sex a lot until I got some mental issues taken care of." Blaine swallowed. He didn't want to be telling anyone this—especially Bob and Jake. Jake because his didn't know him super well and Bob because he didn't want to disappoint him. "I ended up getting kicked out before it could go any higher."

"Why did you get kicked out?" Jake asked.

"Had sex with the head minister's son… he was supposed to be watching me so I couldn't leave the room after the minister found out me and this other guy were having sex. It was, like, the third time I'd been caught so they were pretty pissed." Blaine said. "So I'm in a locked room with the preacher's son and we were arguing and then we were having sex… We had it three more times before his dad walked in. I know I shouldn't have done it but I was so pissed off with everything that I just didn't care anymore... If anyone from the camp would want to get back at me, it would be him or his dad. I haven't had contact with them in, like, nine years, though."

"I love him." Jake looked at Bob, who just shook his head. "Can you find me one?"

"Closest I've got is Adrian and he's Ryan's." Bob shrugged, as if he'd heard Blaine saying he was going to eat an apple or something. "We can't all be as lucky as me."

Blaine smiled a bit because, really, he just loved Bob.

"He had sex with a minister's son at a conversion camp." Jake said. "Someone who was supposed to be watching him before punishment."

Bob shook his head again but did look like he was trying not to smile. "Do you still keep contact with anybody there?"

"No." Blaine shook his head. "It wasn't really… you know, something you'd want to remember or talk about."

"Did anyone know about your family?"

"No. There wasn't exactly a lot of talking going on… Not that you'd want to after what you'd just seen or done, so…" Blaine trailed off.

"Let's move off from this although we may be able to have someone look into the guy and his dad." Jake said quietly. "What about anyone in your family? Aunts and uncles? Did you see any of them?"

"My dad had two brothers. They were all pretty snobby so I didn't really have a relationship them either. My family was very well off before my dad and grandmother started stealing money." Blaine's voice was soft. "My grandfather was a professor when he was younger and he did a lot of seminars so he made a lot of money… I think some of the money was also handed down from his family too, though."

"You don't talk to the uncles at all?" Jake asked. "What about aunts, cousins?"

"The only person I talk to that I'm related to is my older brother. They treated him like crap too and he moved to Italy until a couple of years ago… after we started having a relationship again."

"You don't think…?" Bob trailed off.

"No. I'm positive. It's not him. He's just as bitter and damaged as me." Blaine said. "He's just had more time to get over it. This whole thing with Dad wanting our inheritance money was really the first big thing he'd ever done with Alex since I was a toddler."

"But he had a relationship with them?"

"Not exactly. I mean… if he was in the states, he would come and see them but that was only because if they found out he hadn't, they would probably cut him off. When we were younger, so much of the money would deposit into our accounts once a month for us to kind of live off of… so that's why I was able to do anything with my life. My parents did pay for an apartment at UK because my grandmother made them, but as soon as I left school I never got money from them again. I assume they did the same thing for Alex. Our childhood was full of lovely and memorable experiences."

"Why did your brother keep in touch with them if all of that happened if he had an inheritance, though?" Jake asked.

"He didn't get the inheritance money until I did, so he was using the monthly stipend for living too. His son is nine now so he had a wife and baby to support… He was afraid if he made them mad, he'd be cut off until everything was to be handed over and we didn't know how long it would even take to go through the system. I don't even know why my grandfather set that specific year… maybe he knew what my dad would try to do and wanted us to be old enough to not be living with him?" Blaine bit his lip. "But Alex hated having to be cordial. He really does hate them as much as I do… maybe even more. Our dad basically paid his girlfriend's family a lot of money to force their daughter to get an abortion when they found out she pregnant. His girlfriend didn't want to… They were seventeen. That was the last straw for Alex and as soon as he graduated high school, he got money from Grandpa and left—not from the inheritance. My grandpa was still alive at that time so it was Grandpa's money. That's what Alex told me at least but I believe him."

"That is so fucked up." Jake looked at Bob who didn't say anything—what could anyone really say?

"Why did he come back?" Bob asked after a few seconds.

"Me." Blaine sighed. "He had to come back for lawyer stuff occasionally and we met for coffee when I was eighteen so I guess it was the next year… and then later that year or the next year I was in a really, really bad car accident. Kurt called Alex because they wouldn't let anybody back to see me and I wasn't capable to consent to anything… Obviously my parents wouldn't have cared. Alex called the hospital and they let Kurt come back and gave him power to make decisions if anything life threatening happened until Alex got there. Once he got there, he handled everything… and then we found out that my parents cut me off their health insurance the year before without saying anything. He had to go to Grandma and get money out of his inheritance to cover it—she was the only one who could get into the money. It was, like, $30,000 and that's not including the days I stayed. He gave the hospital his card information for the rest so I have no idea how much he really paid."

Bob's eyes were wide.

"He wouldn't let me pay it back either… and he sent me money through undergrad too to help with school costs since my parents cut me off after I left UK to take care of Kurt…" Blaine bit his lip and then added, "I know it wasn't him. Ever since he's been back in my life, he's taken as much care of me has he could."

"It wasn't him. He wouldn't have gotten on a plane if he didn't care about Blaine and if he cares about Blaine, he wouldn't be giving his information up." Bob said. "And I highly doubt he would have wanted to see his grandma either."

"You trust that he's telling the truth?" Jake made eye contact.

"Yeah." Blaine's eyes got teary. "I do… We have talked about our family some, though. It sounds like stuff with my dad had always been rough but once our grandfather died my grandmother got pulled into it. When my grandfather died, everything shifted… My dad was also the only son that didn't have money left to him. Alex thinks Grandpa knew something was going on with Dad because he talked to him a few times and it always ended with them not talking. Plus, when Grandpa died all Dad was worried about was how much money he'd inherit anyway."

"But no other family members that you or they regularly interacted with?" Jake asked. "Or even your brother?"

"No. Just my grandparents for both of us." Blaine shook his head as the door opened.

Kurt put his hand on Blaine's thigh and squeezed it.

Blaine gave the first real smile he had in hours.

"Is there anyone that your family may have worked with that might have access to personal records or anything?" Jake asked. "What does your mom do?"

"My mother's job was pretty much shopping and finding the next guy to sleep with. My dad just had two nurses and a receptionist, but they all checked out when they realized how Dad was getting city money into the doctor's office. None of them knew… I mean, if you don't know my dad, he is super nice, friendly, asks all the right questions so you'll think he's interested… He is so fake but he pulls it off so well. Everyone was floored when they found out about the money because people loved him so much. But behind closed doors…" Blaine trailed off.

Kurt squeezed his thigh again.

"I really wasn't around him enough to have more information than that. We both tried to avoid each other as much as possible after I came out. Any interactions were about something I shouldn't do or something I had to do."

"But your mother didn't work?" Bob asked. "At all?"

"No. I don't even think she really counted as a housewife either. She just shopped around and slept around." Blaine shrugged a bit. "I honestly don't think she cares enough about me or Alex to care what we do and she doesn't care about our dad enough to find anything out for him even if she had connections."

"There is nothing else big enough that you might not want to share?" Jake asked.

"No. That's it but in my opinion a DUI and converting a minister's son to be gay is pretty reprehensible." Blaine looked Bob in the eyes—he knew Bob would know that Blaine was telling the truth.

"Then we're back at square one." Jake sighed a bit, staring at his notebook—which he hadn't even written anything on.

"What about… I mean, probably not but…" Kurt hesitated.

"What?" Blaine looked confused.

"The guy at the party… Would he have been that pissed off to do anything?"

"No." Blaine shook his head. "I'm pretty sure he's just a creep."

"What?" Bob asked.

"In second year I was at a party and this guy tried to rape me." Blaine said—and wow. To just say it in a sentence like it was nothing? Sometimes he still thought about that and got sick to his stomach. "I made it out still mostly drunk… but he was pretty pissed. Honestly, I don't think he would try to pull anything and we were never even friends on social media or anything so my Dad wouldn't have a way of even knowing him or about him."

"Someone tried to rape you at a party?" Bob echoed, eyes dark.

"Uhm… yes." Blaine nodded.

"Did you press charges?"

"No. I got away and told him if he touched me again, I would." Blaine sighed. "It wasn't something I really wanted to talk about, you know?"

Bob looked like he wanted to say more but didn't.

"Has he had any contact with you at all?" Jake asked.

"None. If I saw him somewhere, he always turned and went the other direction."

"Yeah, probably not him but can you give me his name?"

"Preston McIntosh." Blaine bit his lip.

"I'll look into him but I doubt it would be him." Jake wrote the name down and scribbled 'sexual assault' next to it.

"Kurt, is there anything else you can think of?" Bob asked.

"No."

"Would anybody you know end up in the same crowd as Blaine's family? Or someone like it?"

"My family does more than get by but they're lightyears away from having the kind of money that the Anderson's have." Kurt's voice was soft. "Plus, Blaine's dad and my dad had it out on the garage floor when I was seventeen so I don't see them being buddy-buddy ever."

"I forgot about that." Blaine covered his face, thinking of that day and how his father had put Kurt back in the hospital after pushing him in the chest.

"And you two are absolutely sure you haven't updated your addresses?"

"All I've updated is the work stuff." Blaine shrugged.

Bob looked thoughtful.

"That's the only place? No new license yet? Change it on a credit card?" Jake asked, sitting up straight. He looked between Kurt and Blaine.

"No. That's the only place." Blaine said.

"I haven't updated anything on my end yet." Kurt added.

Jake looked at Bob. "Robbie, it's someone here."

"What? Nobody here would do that." Bob scoffed.

"Maybe nobody you brought with you but we haven't worked with a lot of these people long enough to know them that well. There are fifty lawyers and fifteen interns that work in this building. You can't tell me you know all fifty lawyers well enough to trust them all. Someone pulled his information off the intranet."

"Only partners and supervisors can get into that part on the Intranet. Everybody else can only see their own information."

"… Blaine got in to update his information."

Bob looked at Blaine.

"It's on the drop down menu. You can edit your own information and can view everyone else's. I don't have credentials to edit anyone else's information." Blaine looked between them.

"Yes but you are a supervisor, Blaine. That's the only reason you can edit your own information." Bob said slowly."

"Robbie… How would anyone even know he was moving? He didn't take off work for it or anything and he's obviously not having contact with his family…"

"I didn't really tell many people…" Blaine added. "I think Adrian and Brian were the only ones I told."

Bob held up a finger and begin typing out a very long text.

"What are you doing?"

Bob pushed a button on the screen projector and opened the laptop. Once the laptop was started, four numbers popped up and he entered them into the screen which they could see on the projector. The mouse then began moving itself.

"What…?" Jake asked.

"Martin's on it."

"He's not here!"

"I don't know. Computers do weird shit now." Bob said, eyes not leaving the screen. "He can remotely access it. He has to fix mine all the time when I fuck something up."

The IT guy was opening several pages, typing stuff into all of them, and more screens would pop up.

"What is he doing?"

"You can't order Panera without Martin knowing it… trust me. Every time I do, he tells me I 'have a problem.' IT can see every button you click." Bob said. "Sometimes he'll just pop up on my screen and send stuff to see my reaction."

"Shut up." Jake looked like he didn't believe him.

"He thinks it's hilarious. I think it's annoying." Bob said.

Kurt couldn't help but laugh— for being close to someone as cheery as Blaine, Bob could definitely be grumpy.

Blaine tried to tune them out, watching the screen. His information was now there—address, phone number, email, contact information, and even his social security number. Another box popped up, showing several different times (even early that morning) with the letters AC after it.

Bob stood up, looking angry.

"What?" Blaine asked.

Bob ignored him, closing the laptop and grabbing the printed papers.

"What?" Blaine repeated.

"Adrian is the only one in this office with the initials AC." Jake said quietly.

"No." Blaine said, voice louder than Bob or Jake had ever heard it. One that he barely used in the courtroom.

"Blaine, it says he's been logging in and looking at your information." Jake spoke slowly.

"It wasn't Adrian."

"The initials are right there, Blaine!" Bob exclaimed angrily, pointing. "AC, AC, AC, AC. That's just from yesterday! 10:00 last night, 2:00 this morning, ten times total last week. It started three days before you two started moving in!"

"Adrian doesn't need to look up my address because I gave it to him in person in his office!" Blaine shot right back without hesitation. "You were both helping us move in. Remember?"

"Then what was he doing on the Intranet looking at your information?"

"You said he couldn't see it!"

"Well obviously he can see something!"

Jake looked at Kurt and rolled his eyes.

Kurt just took a deep breath—Blaine was, of course, right. Adrian was one of Blaine's closest friends. Not quite up there with Wes and David but as close as you could probably get.

"Robbie, calm down before you go upstairs. Adrian's got an intern and Adrian also barely ever takes his work laptop home which is the biggest indicator that it probably is not him." Jake said. "As someone who is notas emotionally close to Blaine as you are and someone who has been partner in three of the five firms I've worked in, I am telling you that just because Adrian's initials are on there does not mean it was Adrian. If Adrian's intern uses those computers, that is more than likely who got in and got Blaine's address. My intern is in my office a lot when I'm not in there and I know for a fact that Blaine was alone in yours when he was your intern too because you talked about how much stuff he got done when he was an intern. It's the way it is."

"He could access it from his home laptop."

"No. Otherwise it would say 'guest' instead of 'laptop.'" Jake raised his voice. "It's the intranet not the internet. I know you aren't big on computers, but I assume you know the difference?"

Bob looked confused.

"Really?" Jake looked at him, amused. "No wonder you pay Martin so much."

Blaine covered his face to hide his amused smile.

"Okay, Robbie." Jake said calmly. "You can only access an intranet if a system has been installed on your computer—so only people within the company can access the information. You can't just copy a link, go to it, and log in from anywhere."

"How do you know he doesn't take it home?" Bob asked

"Matt's for school is exactly the same. After the third time of switching them, they decided it wasn't worth Adrian bringing it home." Blaine said. "He only takes it home when he has to take Matt to his kidney checkup appointments for his in Cambridge or if he knows he'll be working from home."

"Which he did last week."

"Yeah. Last week. Not last night, not 2 this morning. The times it was logged in last week was when he was from his desktop computer. See the 'L' and 'D'?" Blaine asked like he was talking to an annoyed child. "L for laptop and—"

Bob held up his hand, giving Blaine a look that Kurt had a feeling was reserved for his children when they were being annoying… or right.

"As someone who is not a partner and who's opinion doesn't really matter… I would call Ryan and have him send Adrian down here with his laptop." Jake said. "Have Adrian check to see if it's got a password on it or not that way he doesn't think you are accusing him—which is what you were about to go do. If it doesn't have a password on it, we need to have that put on there. If it does, we need to have him change it."

"It's not Adrian." Blaine repeated. "He would never do that. I would eat my left foot if Adrian did something like that."

Bob got up and went to the phone on the table, calling Ryan and asking him to send Adrian down.

Adrian came in a minute later with his laptop, looking very confused.

"Hey, can you open up your laptop for us?" Jake asked, mainly because he was afraid of the tone Bob would use.

"Uh… yeah." Adrian sat it down and opened it up. It went straight to the desktop.

"Log out of it." Bob said, watching.

Adrian did so and then pushed the power button to turn it back on. The desktop popped up twenty seconds later.

"Is your desktop computer password protected?" Bob asked him calmly.

"No but all of my case stuff isn't on it. I save it to my external hard drive." Adrian said, pulling it out of his pocket. "What's going on?"

"From here on out, I need you to have it password protected. I'm not sure how to do that, but IT will take care of it first thing in the morning." Bob said.

"What… happened?" Adrian looked at Blaine when Bob made a phone call to Martin.

Jake scooted the papers over to Adrian.

"What is this?"

"Uhm… well, my dad showed up at the new house today. The only place either of us have updated our address is here, so whoever told my dad where I live… was from here." Blaine said.

"I didn't—" Adrian said quickly, his eyes widening when he saw his initials.

"We know." Bob said before returning to his conversation with Martin.

"Your intern." Blaine said. "We talk about stuff all of the time in either your office or mine so even if it was in my office, he would be able to hear."

"This says two in the morning. This has to be wrong." Adrian looked confused. "Nobody but Bob, Ryan, and Tammy Jo can even do the alarm after 10:00."

"No." Jake said. "He probably took your laptop home those days and brought it back the next mornings before you got here. You don't use it much so you probably wouldn't even have noticed if it was gone."

"Yeah… I honestly just leave it in my drawer." Adrian admitted.

"Where are your keys to the drawer?" Jake asked.

"In the… other drawer. Shit. Blaine, I'm so sorry."

"No." Bob said. "Every intern has access to all of this information and we've never needed to do this stuff until now. Can I just say that the people I hire never do stupid shit like this?"

"Well, you just did say it." Jake shrugged as Ryan came in.

"What's going on?" Ryan asked.

"Adrian's intern has been hacking into the Intranet and we believe he gave Blaine's father his new address." Jake said.

"No." Bob said impatiently. "We know. Walks like a duck, talks like a duck… probably isn't a goose. Ryan, can you call and see if we can get a cop out here? That kid usually comes in around 2:00 and I really don't want to have to put off firing him any longer than I have to."

"Sure?" Ryan said before heading back upstairs although he still looked confused.

"My dad was at our new house an hour or so ago." Blaine told Adrian. "I guess your intern got the address from your computer?"

"Yeah and technically the only people that should be able to even see the information is Bob, Ryan, Tammy Jo, Brian, and me." Jake said. He then looked at Bob. "Right?"

Bob nodded.

"Well either Matt and I are staying with you two or you two are staying with us." Adrian chirped.

"Wait, what?" Kurt asked.

"Yes." Bob said. "Okay. I feel better. Why didn't I think of Matthew?"

"Who is Matthew?" Jake asked.

"The adorable kid who became a police officer. The one that can't do law anymore because he lost his kidney." Bob said.

"Yeah. That adorable kid is mine." Adrian grinned. "He has an evening class but he's usually home by the time I make it back."

"Yours?" Jake asked. "Aren't you, like, 26?"

"Actually 28… and he's not really mine. I took a year off before college. We are married, though."

"Oh! The blonde one who comes in twice a week around lunch time?" Jake asked.

"Yeah, that's him." Adrian nodded, smiling.

"Yeah. He's adorable." Jake agreed. "See you all tomorrow. It was good to see you, Kurt!"

"You too." Kurt smiled and waved.

"You two don't have to do this." Blaine said quickly.

"Either place we stay, it's just an adult sleepover." Adrian shrugged. "We just have a worry free mind since, you know, Matt is always carrying."

"Carrying what?" Kurt asked.

Bob, Adrian, and Blaine all looked at him.

"A gun. There's a Law Enforcement Officers Safety Act allowing retired or separated law enforcement officers to carry a concealed firearm. The only places he can't is in government buildings and some private properties… but honestly, I think a lot of people would rather have an ex-officer carry." Adrian said. "The gun kind of freaked me out at first too but if it makes you feel better, he is always carrying. You've been around the gun literally any time you've seen him. Ever."

"Oh." Kurt blinked a few times because that had been what… four years? Maybe? And he'd never even known?

"Once a cop, always a cop." Bob said. "Alright, well, the two officers are here so I'm going to go upstairs. Kurt."

"They prefer to be called police officers." Adrian said and then blinked. "Oh God. Did I just say that out loud? What has he done to me?"

"Anyway, Kurt." Bob said as Adrian frowned.

"Yes?"

"If you go home, don't go inside unless there is an officer inside one of the two cars outside your house. Otherwise, go to my house. Don't even pull in the driveway and walk down. Park in my driveway." Bob said. "Brady's there with Emily and Sarah will be home soon."

"Hey, Bob and Adrian." Blaine chirped suddenly before Bob could make his way out of the room.

"Yep?" Bob asked.

"It's two boys." Blaine grinned.

"Oh God. I'm so sorry for you." Bob laughed before going upstairs without another word.

Adrian, however, gasped and threw his hands up excitedly. "That is great!"

"Was Bob… joking?" Kurt asked Blaine.

"Uh… I'm not sure." Blaine admitted.

"Probably not." Adrian said, grinning and going to hug Kurt and Blaine. "Are you two freaking out?"

"I should be… but I'm actually feeling pretty calm." Kurt said and looked at Blaine. "Although Bob's reaction…"

"Bob thinks there's a crisis if his shoelaces aren't tied the same, Kurt." Adrian gave him a look.

"Yeah, it's true. Sometimes his default is to overreact…." Blaine agreed, nodding.

"He gives no shit or he gives all the shits." Adrian added.

"Although I've noticed that's usually when he hasn't had sweet tea."

"…Is that why you bring him sweet tea from Panera on the days you come in late?" Adrian asked.

Blaine nodded, looking amused. "He hasn't caught on to why, though… everyone else in the office has."

"Ryan thinks he's getting close to a midlife crisis." Adrian whispered—just in case Bob or anybody had come back downstairs. "I'm pretty sure he wasn't joking."

"I can see that."

Kurt looked at the two of them, amused.

"I've got to get to court." Adrian groaned. "I'll see you all later."

"Good luck!" Kurt called once he left.

Blaine looked at Kurt and bit his lip.

"What?"

"I literally just spilled everything about my past to Bob and his best friend… for nothing. It was someone here." Blaine sighed. "Do you think either of them will… think I'm a horrible person? Or that I was a whore?"

"No!" Kurt said instantly. "I think they—especially Bob— know what you went through. And they both know you. I highly doubt either of them will judge you."

Blaine sighed again and then nodded. "I guess."

"You know Bob. He loves you. Remember? He literally stayed with you in the hospital for three days after you have your appendix removed last month and worked from home until at least a week after you could take care of yourself." Kurt gave him a look.

"Yeah. You're right." Blaine nodded, smiling.

"He won't even bring it up." Kurt promised. "So… Well, I guess I'm going to go to work until after your meeting so I can make up some time from today."

"If you have to." Blaine pouted a bit.

"Technically I don't have to but I should." Kurt sighed a bit.

"Okay… well… don't go back to the house, okay? Whether we stay with them or they stay with us… I would feel better going inside with Matt there."

"There are cards parked out front." Kurt pointed out.

"I know… just humor me, though? You've already been hurt once." Blaine gave him a look.

"How about I stay at Marc Jacobs and you come get me?" Kurt asked.

"Okay." Blaine nodded and smiled, walking with Kurt up the stairs. "I'll text you when I'm on the way."

"Twin boys!" Kurt whispered excitedly when they were in the entrance doorway to the law firm.

"Aaaah, I know!" Blaine exclaimed. "I know, I know!"

"I'll see you soon, okay?" Kurt kissed him. "I love you."

"I love you too, Kurt."
