The International Defence League was established roughly- Authors Note: I haven't used proper dates in this series before and I'm not going to start now. -ago by Edward Swift-Hoof as the Zootopia Vigilante Registration Program.
After the Battle of Zootopia, the ZVRP was reorganized and expanded into the International Defence League. Originally helmed by Bogo, chief of the ZPD. But eventually, he was replaced by Nick and Judy from the future. They were from the timeline where their daughter Pandora went insane and almost destroyed all of reality in the process.
These grizzled future versions of our beloved cop duo took the reigns of the IDL to keep the world safe so that their genius hybrid daughter could be raised in relative peace. "Well, the good news is that the Ancient One is out of the picture." The Future Judy said as she looked over a report.
"Yeah, good thing too." The Future Nick said. "That bat was almost as bad as Demiurg himself."
"With him contained, we can focus on preparing Earth for the invasion." Future Judy said. "Although... the fact that he even awoke earlier than in our timeline is worrisome."
"Yeah, not to mention that he personally got Harry and Sawa... plus side, there not dead." Future Nick said. "Well, not 'dead' dead but you get what I'm saying."
"They didn't die as mindless slaves of the Ancient One, that was the victory in this affair." Future Judy said. "But if the Ancient One has awoken over a decade early, then that can only mean one thing... Demiurg is returning. We have, maybe a year tops to prepare, but even with the advanced technology we had the first time around, he decimated Earth's defenses with barely any effort."
"Yeah, the first wave were those Berserkers... man those guys were nasty." Future Nick said.
"Nasty is an understatement... but at any rate, we need to be ready." Future Judy said. "If the Ancient One has awakened this early, then it stands to reason that the Berserkers will be on their way."
"Right... and Clancy didn't think to help us." Future Nick complained.
"I did, actually," Clancy said as he jumped out of a time portal. "But as ever, the Plot must flow." Then just as quickly as he arrived, he left through another time portal.
Future Judy rolled her good eye. "You know... I still remember the original timeline, where Mullerson took over the world. You and Pandora were mauled to death by robotized Mammals... I still can't believe that time machine could become so annoying."
"Nobody could see a wristwatch time machine gaining sentience and running around, randomly giving help, or just cryptic advice, or doing a drive-by 'hello' and 'goodbye'." Future Nick complained.
"I know." Future Judy said. "But we need to focus on-"
"Warning!" An automated voice said. "A Demiurge vessel has been detected entering the solar system!"
"And odds are good that ship has the Berserkers onboard." Future Nick complained.
"Well, last time it took at least three months for them to arrive at Earth." Future Judy said. "So we should have plenty of time to think out a plan of attack before they get here."

Meanwhile, in Zootopia, Nick Wilde was talking to superspy hare Jack Savage in the men's room of his wife's favorite restaurant. "Okay... I'm going to explain this slowly Savage. Skye. Has. A. Giant. Crush. On. You!"
Meanwhile at their table. "Wow, he is thick," Judy said to Skye Winter. "I mean you flirt with him almost non-stop, but he doesn't notice."
"Tell me about it... we've been working together for over ten years, and he's never caught on," Skye complained.
"But she's never sat on me in my life," Jack said, still not getting that Skye was in love with the hare spy.
Nick groaned in exasperation. "Jack... she's got a thing for you. She thinks you're hot and wants to date you! Get. That. Through. You're. Thick. Head..."
Jack just looked confused. "What on earth are you- oh... Oooooh!... my word I'm stupid."
"There's a difference between being stupid and being dense," Nick reassured through his migraine. "You're dense, and no mistake... but you're not stupid."
"He's bound to figure it out sooner or later," Judy said to Skye.
"We've been working together for over five years. For the last two years, I've been trying to get him to make the first move." Skye said. "Honestly, you're lucky that Nick is nowhere near as thick-headed as Jack."
"Just... ugh," Nick said, frustrated that Jack was still not getting what he was saying. "You know, when I first met Judy I kept calling her 'dumb bunny' every chance I could. But you..." He said in frustration. "You are the DUMBEST bunny I've ever met."
"Technically I'm a hare." Jack corrected.
The two women heard Nick scream in frustration. "Well, what'll you be getting?" Judy asked.
"The fish seems interesting?" Skye asked as she looked through a menu.
XXXX
"You wanted to see us sirs?" Jack asked of the Future Nick and Judy the following morning.
"I'll be honest," Skye said. "After that so-called 'date' last night, I'm eager to get back to spy work."
Future Nick and Judy rolled their eyes. "We believe that the Berserkers of Demiurg the Despot has arrived in our solar system."
"The aliens from the future that you've been preparing the agency for?" Jack asked.
"The very same... only good thing Clancy has done for us lately was help explain why Demiurg was such a threat." Future Nick said.
"So you want us to board the Berserkers ship, figure out what's going to happen, steal everything that isn't nailed down, and if possible destroy the ship before it can reach Earth and cause whatever chaos these curs caused in you're timeline. Does that sound about right?" Skye summarized.
"You could learn a thing or two from Agent Winter, Agent Savage." Future Judy said. "You're shuttle will be leaving in three hours. Prepare yourselves, because believe me. You'll be in for the fight of your lives with the Berserkers."
XXXX
Several hours later, Agents Winter and Savage left Earth's atmosphere in an IDL shuttle. "Well... we've got a few days to get to the ship. Any ideas on how to pass the time?" Jack asked.
"Really Savage?" Skye said in annoyance.
"Right, of course, how silly of me," Jack said, he then turned on his phone. "I've downloaded quite a bit of entertainment onto this thing for the trip."
Skye rolled her eyes. "Jack Savage... I've been hinting at it for years. And I'm going to just say it upfront." She said irately to Jack. "Jack... I love you!... Judy was right, that was easy!"
"Yes... yes, Nick told me as much." Jack said. "I'm sorry that I never caught on to your hints... apparently they were too subtle for me to catch." Skye then took out her phone and started scrolling through the various texts and pictures she sent to Jack. "Okay... in hindsight those are incredibly obvious.
XXXX
A week later, the shuttle arrived at the Berserker ship. "With any luck, they haven't detected us yet," Jack said as he parked the shuttle on the hull. "Magnetizing to the hull. You ready Skye?"
"I was born ready," Skye said as she and Jack donned their respective catsuits, and cut a hole through the hull onto the ship. "We're in."
"Who are you talking to? I'm the only person here." Jack asked.
The jackrabbit and arctic fox agents snuck through the ship's vents. "You know, it seems to be a universal constant that most vents are big enough for Mammals our size to sneak through like this."
"Yeah... it kind of is weird that we don't have to crawl through these vents. Not complaining mind you, just as interested in that as you are." Skye said.
Eventually, they caught sight of a Berserker. "My word... those brutes are hideous," Jack commented.
"I wasn't expecting much, but yeesh... these guys look like they lost a fight with a cheese grater," Skye said.
"I wasn't going to mention it... but they actually look like giant blocks of cheese. I don't know if they're a species of sentient cheese or if they were created that way by Demiurg himself." Jack rambled.
"Huh, you're right they do look like cheese, I was just making a comparison but you're right!" Skye said in surprise.
"Right, let's just try and focus on the mission. Phase one, we download all of the information from the ship's computer." Jack and Skye continued through the vents to the ship's main computer terminal.
"Okay... let's see if this thing works," Skye said as she stuck a device into the computer. "Get into contact with command."
"Already on it," Jack said as he brought up a hologram of Future Nick and Judy. "Sir's we've already found the computer, and are hacking into the files now."
"That's excellent." Future Judy gushed.
"Are they as ugly as I remember?" Future Nick asked. "I still don't know why they look like giant cheeses."
"Yes, they do look like giant cheeses, but what more can you tell us about them?" Jack asked.
"Honestly... any guesses you have are as good as ours." Future Judy said. "In our timeline, we didn't even know about Demiurg until the Berserkers arrived at Earth, most of what we did know about him was from damaged remains of his technology after the war."
"So in short, you only know a little more than we do?" Skye said.
"Maybe. We only know that he was interested in Earth in the first place because of some kind of magic rings." Future Nick said. "At least that's what we could glean... it was over a decade ago, and we've kind of had our hands full since then."
"Well, it looks like the device is uploading the relevant data to the IDL database," Jack said as the device dinged.
"We're getting the data packet now." Future Judy said. "Just keep the connection secure, and we should get the entire picture... assuming over course it doesn't trip-" Then a loud siren went off across the entire ship. "-any alarms."
"Okay, scratch data retrieval, just get to the engine room, rig the ship to explode once it gets past the moon, and get out of there!" Future Nick commanded.
XXXX
It took longer than the two agents expected, but they got the explosives to the ship's engine room. "It's almost a shame to destroy this ship." Jack lamented.
"Yeah, a spaceship is pretty cool. But this thing is full of weird cheese monsters that live only for the thrill of the kill." Skye said as the two agents planted the bombs, hiding them in places where the Berserkers wouldn't notice. "Okay... charges are set, and ready for remote detonation."
"Let's blow this popsicle stand," Jack said, Skye, rolled her eyes at her partner's habit of making one-liners. Even involuntary ones. The two agents did their best to hide from the giant cheese aliens.
Thankfully, after some close calls with the guards and boobytraps. They managed to get back to their ship and escape. "Another clean getaway for Secret Agents Winter and Savage!" Skye gloated as the agents flew away.
Several days later, Jack and Skye returned to Future Nick and Judy at the IDL headquarters. "Well... I was earnestly hoping to get some concrete information on Demiurg's forces. But destroying their ship will have to be the best victory we can hope for right now." Future Judy said as she looked at the computer, it was linked to the bombs on the Berserkers ship. "Now comes the hardest part of this entire mission... wait until the ship is in range so that it can be blown up."
"And you're waiting why exactly?" Jack asked.
"Well, if the ship was destroyed too soon. Demiurg would be suspicious about our capabilities. To him, an advanced missile defense system of some sort would be more probable than say, a space ship that can get an agent across the solar system in under a week." Future Nick said. "And if he were to know about that, this whole operation could become that much more difficult."
"Fair enough... still think we should blow it up now," Skye said.
"And I agree," Future Judy said. "Trust me, the thought of waiting on this is already killing me." She said as she anxiously hovered around the detonator. "In the meantime... you two could-"
"Oh, we're officially a couple now," Jack said bluntly.
Skye was annoyed. "Savage! I thought we talked about this, we were going to announce it together."
The future Nick and Judy breathed a sigh of relief. "Finally... we can't tell you how long we've been trying to get the two of us together. Even back in our original timeline." The Future Nick said.
"I swear you were so thick-headed Jack, it was almost as frustrating as raising Pandora and the kitts." Future Judy said.
"The children that you neglected to take care of which almost resulted in all causality being destroyed?" Jack asked tactlessly. Followed by Skye elbowing the hare in the stomach.
"You're... not wrong." Future Nick admitted.
XXXX
A few months later, the present Nick and Judy were outside with Jack and Skye. It was late, and the moon could be seen in the night sky. "So, what do the love birds want to show us?" Judy asked the agent couple teasingly.
"Oh... just something we've been up to at work," Jack said sardonically as he and Skye got drinks.
"What kind of work?" Nick asked suspiciously.
"The kind of work that we can freely talk about in about..." Skye looked at her phone. "Now."
High above in the sky, there was an explosion that could be seen almost on the moon itself. "Did... did you two do that?" Judy said in surprise.
"Technically we set the explosives. You're future selves likely detonated them." Jack said.
"I... what was that?" Nick asked.
"Alien spaceship full of giant hunks of cheese... I know that sounds silly, but that's what they looked like." Skye said. "I've got the pictures," She said as she showed the bewildered police officers the pictures of the Berserkers.
"Well... those certainly look like giant hunks of cheese," Judy said in bewilderment as she looked at the pictures of limbed cheeses. "I... and that explosion was there ship?"
"Yes, you're future selves had us spend roughly two weeks in space to destroy a ship filled with alien super-soldiers," Jack said.
"It's not as fun as it sounds... it was basically about two weeks of talking while watching the same seven movies over and over again," Skye said.
"And... that was when Jack finally acknowledge that there was more between you than just co-workers?" Nick asked.
Skye nodded. "Oh thank Frith, I tell you. It was MADDENING to get it through you're head Jack." Judy said.
XXXX
Meanwhile, at the IDL headquarters, Future Nick and Judy were scanning the debris of the Berserker ship. "I don't believe it... Judy! According to these scans, the ship's computer survived the explosion!" Future Nick said in astonishment.
"Let me see." Future Judy looked at her husband's computer. "Sweat cheese and crackers! The ship's computer and databanks are intact! We can salvage them, and... and finally get a leg up on Demiurg!"
"Great!" Future Nick said. "I'll call up Savage and Winter-"
"Wait... let's give them the night off." Future Judy said. "They've earned it."
Future Nick thought for a moment. "Well, we always wanted to go the moon."
"I have no memory of ever talking about that." Future Judy said.
It was just another day for the International Defence League.
