Chapter 4
Jane was late when she arrived at the coffee shop. She saw the blonde nurse as she smiled gracefully. She watched her for a moment before she made her ways towards her. The blonde was curled up in a ball sipping on some hot coco. It was cold out for this time in Boston. Christmas was just around the corner and she couldn't wait to spend it with her favorite nephew T.J. She watched her as she slowly made her way towards her beating the crowd just in time. Jane smirked when Maura's eyes looked up at the lanky figure. She smiled brightly happy that she came.
"Hey uh, Sorry I was late." Jane said shyly. She shakes her head to herself. Come on Rizzoli get a grip.
"OH! No, No it's no problem at all. I just gotten here myself a few minutes ago. Traffic downtown was a bit behind." Maura said blushing.
She had always had been socially awkward. She had a hard time speaking in a normal matter. She always tangled up her words into run on sentences. She was happy that Jane had decided to come meet her here. It was an open place so she didn't feel cramped or scared. She wanted to get to know the detective more. She had read online about what happened to her and hoyt. She will bring it up when she feels she's ready. Jane nodded as she slide on the other side of the booth. She felt the blonde's awkwardness so she decided to break the ice a bit.
"So." She waved down the waiter who came right over. "One coffee place. 3 surgars and 4 creams. Do you want anything else Maura." She asked as she eyed her coco. Maura thought for a moment as she nodded yes.
"Just a light moca please." She said softly. The waiter nodded as she went to the back. Jane leaned back into the seat watching the blonde smiling.
"I was thinking. Maybe this could be our normal spot. Ya know?" Jane chewed her lower lip as Maura looked towards her eyeing her. She had no idea what that had meant. The italian had noticed this as she goes on an explains it.
"It means a hangout Maur. Just me and you. Something our friends if you are up for it. Get to know each other a bit more."
Maura's eyes gotten wide. She almost spits out her coco as she blushed deeply as she used her napkin to clean up her mess. Jane laughed softly as the waiter came back with there drink orders.
"So I take it as a yes?"
Maura smirked. "Sure. I wouldn't mind hanging out with an beautiful women." She gasped softly as she regrets saying those words to soon. She just meant this women and she was already falling hard for her. She couldn't help herself though. The features she sees are amazing. The curves and curls on her hair. She just wanted to run her fingers through them and pull the snarls out of her hair to make her feel better. She sighed softly as she looked down at her hot cup. Jane looked towards her friend as she smiled softly and places her hands on top of hers. The sudden shock came between them as they both looked up into each others eyes. The chocolate ones were undressing Maura as Maura's green hazel eyes were undressing Jane. They smirked towards each other.
"I guess this is going to be one hell of a ride getting to know each other." Jane's raspy voice cuts in. Maura's heart almost melts into it.
"I agree Jane Rizzoli."
