Gaete hummed while he awkwardly struggled to try and defeat the warriors. Both he and Rex were trying to find a way around this.
This stood in stark contrast to the woman which made Gaete blink. She moved like a ballerina. A Ballerina who was making mincemeat which made Gaete question if she was human.
"How the hell is she so powerful?" Gaete questioned to himself. He dodged a Perussi before knocking the creature back.
The woman sent one of the Perussi flying into the air with one kick. Gaete hummed and blinked at the woman in surprise.
"Who the hell is this woman?" Gaete questioned Rex before one of the armored soldiers clocked him.
Gaete was sent flying backwards, smashing into a glass window. He groaned with pain as Rex looked at him.
"Eyes on the prize, brainiac." Rex stated which made Gaete hum. "But damn if that woman isn't something else… I haven't seen a human send a Perussi sprawling." Rex put in which made Gaete hum and cracked his knuckles.
"Yeah, and I can almost feel her holding back." Gaete muttered to Rex. Satsuki kicked another of the Perussi.
It pinballed into 3 other Perussi. Gaete hummed with amusement and backflipped into the air.
"This woman is something else." Gaete muttered and dodged another Perussi's tongue. He stomped on it, causing the creature to scream.
"Yeah, she is." Rex responded as the woman easily dodged another Perussi. One of the soldiers opened fire on her.
The woman simply backflipped away, the shots ripped up the stone under her. Gaete could only watch her move as Gaete dodged Perussi tongue and claws. He didn't move like she did.
"This woman is making mincemeat out of them." Rex put in as Gaete punched a Perussi. "And I think your right. she's holding back power. That's interesting. She's powerful, and yet she's holding some manner of power back?" Rex asked Gaete.
The soldier like aliens moved in as Gaete looked at Rex. Gaete started to look at Perussi around him. They were very powerful creatures, but they acted more like beasts.
"So, the Perussi are very hungry beasts." Gaete questioned as Rex nodded. "What about those big armored soldiers?" Gaete questioned while the Perussi growled and hissed.
Still? They backed off, seeming more like beasts which made Gaete glad. He didn't have a sliver of a grasp on the abilities he had.
The soldiers looked at the woman and Gaete with interest. They growled, but said nothing else.
"Those soldiers are really powerful." Rex stated which made Gaete turn to look at them with interest. "Their frontline soldiers for the empire my people fight, kid. They might be grunts, but their stronger than the Perussi. Their masters with the creatures being little more then hunting dogs." Rex added.
"You expect me to fight super soldiers?" Gaete questioned the holographic dragon. "Because I can't fight worth a damn in this thing. I'm not really confident in our chances if we try and take that fight." Gaete stated which Rex nodded to.
"I know." Rex put in which made Gaete raise an eyebrow his new friend.
"Then what do we do?" Gaete questioned Rex as he considered the options he had. If he tried to run? He doubted the Perussi wouldn't be able to keep up with him.
Plus, Gaete also didn't want to leave the woman to fight the aliens alone. Gaete might not be a warrior, but he wasn't going to run until it became the only option.
Rex cleared his throats which made Gaete turn to look at Rex.
"Well? Any options?" Gaete questioned while Rex hummed and looked at the situation at hand. "I'm not exactly willing to fight if we can't win this." Gaete stated which made Rex.
Gaete watched the woman as Rex blinked as the woman backflipped over 2 of the Perussi. She landed in a crouch and reached behind her.
"Rex, what the hell is this woman?" Gaete questioned before the Perussi backed off. "Seriously what the hell is this chick?" Gaete asked Rex who could say nothing.
The Perussi and soldiers had turned their gaze to the woman in question. Her power was clearly enough to worry the aliens.
One of the soldiers chattered to another. They growled at both the woman and Gaete. Gaete hummed and balled up his fists, his lack of experience in combat was evident enough.
But the Perussi and soldiers decided to back off. They scattered in different directions. They left their wounded comrades behind as Gaete hummed.
"They're be back." Rex put in with annoyance. "Trust me, they hate being humiliated in combat by someone." Rex put in before Gaete's armor vanished in a flash of orange.
Gaete's glasses returned to the bridge of his nose. Gaete hummed which made Rex look at his friend with interest.
"Interesting." The woman said before turning to Gaete and Rex. "You reek of inexperience." The woman added and dropped her hand from her back.
"How the hell did you do that?" Gaete questioned as he walked close to the woman. "You beat the crap out of them." Gaete put in while the woman hummed and turned.
Rex hummed with amusement and watched his friend approach the woman in question.
"Should I point out that we've just dealt with a few Perussi?" Rex questioned Gaete who turned to the side. "I wouldn't get so cocky, kid. Your going to have to train slowly to win fights." Rex put in as Gaete hummed.
Gaete cracked his fingers and looked to the side. The woman looked at the holographic dragon.
"You know of these creatures?" The woman questioned Rex who looked at her. "They seemed to go after both you and I…" The woman added which Rex hummed at.
"I am aware of them." Rex stated to the woman in question. "And you smell of great power… Gaete here was helping me track down the source of that smell. You must be the one I smelt." Rex put in before Gaete turned to look at the dragon in question.
"Dude, that's the weirdest thing I've ever heard." Gaete put in before he cracked his fingers. "He means we wanted to find you. We just didn't expect these monsters to do something." Gaete stated and cracked his neck.
Gaete hummed and sighed with annoyance before rubbing at his temples. He couldn't think of what to do next. Gaete hummed as he looked to the side.
"Then you clearly wish to talk with me." The woman stated to Gaete who nodded in agreement at this.
"Your right." Gaete put in before turning to Rex. "But I doubt this is the time or place." Gaete added.

Phew. Another chapter done! I want to point out the fight scenes will be longer soon. Next chapter will be 1200 words or so and will be in 2-10 weeks. Until then, Lighting Wolf out!
