I know that in the last chapter Alexia was a little upset with the whole thing of Pepper becoming CEO of Stark Industries. I hope that you guys will enjoy this next chapter. Chapter 16
Alexia sat in the main room as Happy and Tony were busy boxing. She leaned back in her chair, fairly frustrated that today would be the last day that Tony would be the CEO of Stark Industries. It still made her rather sour that Tony would even do such a thing.
Pepper's heels clicked on the floor as she walked in. "The notary's here! Can you please come to sign the transfer paperwork?"
"I'm having a good time." Tony hit Happy in the face with his elbow. "Sorry."
"What the hell was that?" Happy narrowed his eyes at his friend.
"It's called mixed martial arts. It's been around for three weeks."
"It's called dirty boxing, there's nothing new about it."
"All right, put them up. Come on."
The notary walked in her heels clicking on the floor.
The two men shifted their attention to the red-haired woman.
Alexia looked over seeing that it was someone she worked with. She knew that it had Nick Fury written all over it in having Agent Romanoff there.
"I promise this is the only time I will ask you to sign over your company," Pepper said with a smile.
"I need you to initial each box," Natasha said with a smile.
Happy tapped Tony twice on the back of the head with a light punch. "Lesson one. Never take your eyes off…"
Tony kicked him causing him to go crashing into the corner of the ring.
Alexia shook her head lightly, rolling her eyes. She knew that Tony had a thing for women and Natasha was right in the way of Tony's sight.
"That's it. I'm done. What's your name, lady?" Tony questioned as he drank some green liquid down.
"Rushman. Natalie Rushman."
"Front and center. Come into the church."
"No. You're seriously not gonna ask…" Pepper said, shaking her head.
"If it pleases the court, which it does."
Natasha looked over at Pepper. "It's no problem."
"I'm sorry. He's very eccentric."
Natasha entered the ring rather easily.
Tony drank more green liquid down as he looked at her. "Can you give her a lesson?" Tony questioned looking at Happy.
"No problem."
Tony got out of the ring and went to Pepper. "Pepper."
"What?"
Tony sat down next to her. "Who is she?"
"She is from legal. And she is potentially a very expensive sexual harassment lawsuit if you keep ogling her like that."
"I need a new assistant, boss."
"Yes, and I've got three excellent potential candidates. They're lined up and ready to meet you."
"I don't have time to meet. I need someone now. I feel like it's her."
"No, it's not."
"Definitely not," Alexia said, shaking her head. "You only like Tony because she's pretty."
"How do I spell your name, Natalie?" Tony questioned looking over at the woman that was in the ring.
"R-U-S-H-M-A-N."
"What, are you gonna google her now?" Pepper questioned looking at Tony.
"Of course, he's going to," Alexia said, shaking her head lightly.
"I thought I was ogling her." He said bringing up her file. "Wow. Very, very impressive individual."
"You're so predictable, you know that?" Pepper said with a shake of her head.
"She's fluent in French, Italian, Russian, and Latin. Who speaks Latin?"
"No one speaks Latin."
"No one speaks Latin."
"It's a dead language. You can read Latin or you can write Latin, but you can't speak Latin."
"Did you model in Tokyo? 'Cause, she modeled in Tokyo."
"Well…"
"I need her. She's got everything that I need."
Alexia shook her head lightly. "Tony, it'll be a lawsuit if you go through with this," Alexia said as she got up to her feet. She turned her head sharply hearing a loud noise from the ring. Happy was now on the ground.
"Oh, my God! Happy." Pepper said, getting up to her feet quickly.
"That's what I'm talking about." Tony mused with a grin.
"I just slipped." Happy said, trying to hide the embarrassment of what had happened.
"You did?" Tony questioned walking over.
"Yeah." Happy said slightly in pain.
"Looks like a TKO to me," Tony said, ringing the bell.
Natasha got out of the ring. "Just… I need your impression."
"You have a quiet reserve. I don't know, you have an old soul." Tony mused with a small smile.
"I meant your fingerprint."
"Right," Tony said, putting his fingerprint on the documents.
"So, how are we doing?" Pepper asked them to come over to them.
"Great. Just wrapping up here. Hey. You're the boss."
"Will that be all, Mr. Stark?" Natasha questioned looking over at Tony.
"No."
"Yes, that will be all, Ms. Rushman. Thank you very much."
Alexia looked over at Natasha. "I'll walk you out, Ms. Rushman." She said as she walked with Natasha. She closed the door to the room once they got into the hall. "Why wasn't I alerted? about you coming here?" She demanded as she turned her attention to the redhead.
"I thought Director Fury would have told you."
Alexia scoffed. "He didn't tell me a damn thing."
"All he wants me to do is watch over what happens."
"Watch it all go to hell?" Alexia snapped, putting her hands on her hips. "Because that seems to be where it is going."
"You know why Director Fury wants me in on this. You're too close to the matter."
Alexia scoffed, shaking her head lightly. "Of course, he would deem that."
"After what happened when he revealed himself as Iron Man, Director Fury has been wanting to keep you out of the light because you're an Agent Stark."
"I'm an agent, yes, but I'm also one of the Stark siblings. Of course, I'm going to be in the limelight."
"I'm warning you now, just be careful out there and watch over him."
Alexia clenched her teeth together and nodded her head firmly.
