"Fights, breakdowns, and reunion"
Everyone was still with Mae Elisa put leaves over her wound. Yaz, Sammy, and Ben were still shocked of what Kenji did to Hunter and couldn't believe they trusted him. Hunter was keeping a lookout. Noah was spying on Kash.
Sammy was checking on Mae's condition but saw she was asleep. "She's asleep." Sammy said.
"The leaves we put over her wounds stopped the bleeding, but I don't know how long that's gonna last." Sammy said.
"We must do something." Elisa said.
Noah came back "Hey kid what did you find?" Hunter asked.
"Kash has a phone." Noah said.
"Well if Kash has a phone let's get it, call for help, and get out of here." Yaz said.
"What about the dinosaurs?" Noah asked.
"Noah, look at her. She needs help. Our only choice is that phone." Yaz said.
"Yeah my plan still remains the same, get you guys back to your families and I'll do whatever I can to stop Kenji." Hunter said.
BRADs came scanning the area "BRADs!" Hunter whispered.
"Don't smash it. If you smash it it might alert Kenji where our hiding spot is." Elisa said.
Hunter grabbed Mae and hid. Everyone hid behind the rocks soon the BRADs stopped scanning. "New orders received." one of the BRADs said.
The two robot dogs leave.
"One of them could be headed Kash." Yaz said.
"You guys go. I think there was a first aid kit in the snow gliders. I'll get Mae patched up." Ben said.
"Be careful everyone Kenji knows you guys except me, Noah, and Elisa he'll likely be prepared for you." Hunter said.
Yaz and Elisa went to follow one BRAD. Hunter took Noah and Sammy with him. Ben went to the arctic biome.
Yaz and Elisa followed their BRAD the two hid behind trees.
"Hey. Yaz. Are you okay?" Elisa asked.
"With what?" Yaz asked.
"I mean, you know, with the nightmares." Elisa said.
"How do you know that?" Yaz asked.
"I was watching you and Sammy." Elisa said.
"I'm fine. We've got bigger things to worry about than a few bad dreams." Yaz said.
"You know it's more than that." Elisa said.
"Shh. It's getting too far ahead." Yaz focused on the BRAD rather than her nightmares.
They followed the BRAD to a warehouse. The BRAD opened the door and the girls walked right inside. The door closed behind them causing Elisa to accidentally push Yaz to the ground. Yaz looked up and it was a BRAD she covered her mouth so she didn't scream. Elisa grabbed her and pulled her behind crates.
"They're inactive." Elisa said.
The two saw how many BRADs were made.
"Finally. Took you long enough." Kash said.
"Kash?" Yaz asked.
In the arctic biome Ben found one of the snow gliders by the door. He entered it and grabbed all the stuff he needed. A BRAD was scanning the snow glider Ben made sure nothing felt out of his hands. For a second the BRAD was done scanning but a water bottle fell out of Ben's hands.
The BRAD returned but found only the bottle. Ben was hiding underneath the snow glider.
The BRAD the others were following entered the jungle biome. It went to Big Eatie and Little Eatie. The mother was checking on her daughter the BRAD scanned Little Eatie "Health readings sub-optimal. Unsuitable for test." the BRAD said.
It scanned Big Eatie "Subject suitable for test." it said.
Several drones appeared. The drone emitted an electricity buzz that hurt the dinosaurs. This was torture. Big Eatie was being forced away from her daughter. "Where are they taking her?" Sammy asked.
"We're gonna find out." Hunter said.
Yaz and Elisa found Kash working on a BRAD.
"Prepare the test space outside my compound." Kash said.
"My compound." Kenji said.
"Unable to connect to drone perimeter system." the BRAD said.
"That idiot." Kash said.
"Retry connection protocol." Kash said.
"Unable to connect to drone perimeter system." the BRAD said.
"Fine then I'll have to do everything myself." Kash said.
Kash placed his phone aside Elisa saw her chance but Yaz didn't think it was the best chance.
"No connection either? When I get a hold of those imbecile freelancers who messed up my code, I am gonna..." Kash had one of his few breakdowns.
Yaz pulled Elisa back.
Kash threw a computer aside and the two girls had to leave.
After exiting the warehouse they were unaware something was watching them.
Ben came back with all the med supplies. "Okay, Mae. Let's get you cleaned up." Ben said.
He removed the leaves but she reacted in pain and punched Ben.
"Ben, you hurt me." she said in labored voice.
"You hurt me." Ben said.
"Sorry. Maybe it's safer if we stick with the leaves." Mae said.
"We don't want you getting an infection. Luckily, antibacterial is my middle name." Ben said.
"Really? My middle name's Enfys. It's Welsh for "rainbow". Hmm." she said.
"Okay. Let's just take care of these wounds." Ben said.
"You're not gonna punch me again, are you?" Ben asked.
"No. I'm ready for it this time." Mae said.
Ben tried removing it and she reacted and punched him again. "Sorry." She apologized.
Yaz and Elisa were still following Kash as he was outside the compound. The two raptors attempted to attack him but the drones stopped them.
"Elisa... I, I can't, Yaz said.
Elisa put her hand on Yaz's shoulder "Let's get back to the others." Elisa said.
"Somehow I'm getting the strange feeling we're being watched." Yaz said.
Yaz wasn't wrong. Another raptor was watching them in the shadows. It seemed to remember them as if they had met before.
Back at Hunter's cave everyone regrouped "We found Kash... in this creepy warehouse full of BRADs." Yaz said.
"I almost had the phone but..." Yaz finished Elisa's words.
"He went back inside the compound." Yaz said.
"The drones forced Big Eatie away from her kid. Kept the voltage up until she left with them." Noah said.
"It was hard to watch, it reminds me of what Kenji did to me." Hunter said.
He looked at his hand and heard voices in his head "You're gonna die alone freak!" one of his other voices said.
"Hasn't he hurt them enough?" Mae asked.
"He wants to use her for some kind of test." Noah said.
They heard Pierce's roars. "That's Pierce." Mae said.
She tried getting up but the kids stopped her "You need to rest. " Noah said.
"But if Kenji is hurting him like he did Big Eatie..." Mae said.
"We'll go." Hunter said.
Kenji was now watching as he had the drones in position "This is gonna be sick." Kenji said.
The six kids saw how the drones were moving Big Eatie and Pierce "He's gonna force them to fight to the death." Hunter said.
"No way." Ben said.
"It make senses. Dosing the food, making them more aggressive, seeing how strong that are, Mae's research. They don't care how dinosaurs feel. Only thing they want to how how they'd do in a fight." Hunter said.
"Pierce isn't a match against a ." Elisa said.
"He's simply food for her." Hunter said.
"We've got problems." Hunter said.
Yaz and panting, she was terrified of seeing two dinosaurs roar at each other. "We've got to lure them out." Hunter said.
"I've got some ideas on that front." Ben said.
"So do I." Noah said.
"We'll do this your day." Hunter said.
"Oh? Okay Sammy, you go with Ben. Once we get Kenji and Kash out of the compound Hunter and Elisa will trail him and make sure they stay out." Noah said.
"Good luck on your end." Hunter said.
"Yaz, you and I will get past the raptors, sneak into the compound and shut down the drones." Noah said to Yaz.
"You sure?" Elisa asked.
"I got this." Yaz said.
"We got this." Hunter said.
Noah got into position Yaz prepared to get inside but every time she heard them roar she shuddered in fear and began sweating. Every roar she couldn't take it anymore she broke down and fell to her knees heaving.
Noah turned around "Yaz!" he called out to her.
Sammy turned around "Yaz?" Sammy was worried for her friend.
In the bushes the raptor that was following Yaz looked at her deeply concerned.
Hunter and Elisa hid in the bushes "Yeah, I just realized this, how are we going to keep our enemies outside of their base?" Hunter asked.
"Maybe sacrifice you?" Elisa jokes.
"Eh, not the first time someone actually thought that." Hunter said.
Noah and Sammy pulled Yaz away "I'm sorry, I just... I'm fine." Yaz said.
Sammy had her arms around Yaz "It's okay if you're still struggling. These things aren't fixed overnight." Sammy said.
"What things?" Noah asked.
"Nothing, it's..." Yaz didn't want to tell him.
"Yaz, you should tell him." Sammy said.
"What is it?" Noah asked.
"I've been having these... nightmares. That I'm alone, being hunted." Yaz said.
"When I told Sammy and found out she's been having them, too, I felt better. But I am, obviously, not as fine as I thought." Yaz said.
"Wait, I'm not the only one having nightmares?" Noah asked.
"We started talking about them after we stopped to save Pierce and missed the plane home." Sammy said.
"And Hunter cares about us." Noah said.
"Okay I'll take the compound solo." Noah said.
"Noah, are you sure?" Yaz asked.
"Yes." Noah said.
The raptor continued to follow Yaz and Sammy.
Yaz and Sammy found Ben driving a snow glider and strapped cans onto the front. "Guess it's not a Ben plan if it doesn't involve blowing something up." Yaz said.
"I like to play to my strengths." Ben said.
"Let's show these janky toasters who's boss." Sammy said.
Yaz drove the snow glider and crashed into a BRAD who just happened to get caught on the path.
"Look out, BRADs! We're coming for ya!" Sammy cheered.
Kenji and Kash were enjoying the moment of forcing dinosaurs to fight each other but Kenji saw the warehouse was in trouble.
Yaz, Sammy, and Ben jumped out of the snow glider while it was at top speed. It impacted with the wall of the warehouse and blew up."Take that, Mantah Corp!" Sammy said.
"Send in the Pyroraptors." Kenji ordered.
As the three were cheering the drones had the four Pyroraptors "What are those?" Sammy asked.
"I don't know!" Yaz said.
The Pyroraptors were ready to eat them. The first lunged at Yaz but out of nowhere a black scaled raptor attacked. This raptor charged at all of them. Yaz, Sammy, and Ben hid from the fight. The raptor slashed a blue Pyroraptor muzzle. They saw this raptor wasn't like the others and fled.
Yaz was the first to peek out to see where they've gone but the raptor surprised her. She backed up against a tree "Yaz!" Sammy said.
Yaz closed her eyes as she feels her nightmares came true. The raptor growled at her but soon he started licking her. "Gross!" Yaz said.
Yaz wiped the drool off and noticed the raptor's eyes looked familiar "Wait you're the baby raptor." Yaz said.
The raptor nuzzled Yaz's face this time she actually hugged the raptor.
