Alison's Point of View
Mom was waiting for me when I got back. I glared at her.
"So did you have a good time dear?" She asked in a sickly sweet voice. "I'd have an even better time if I was able to figure out what you're plotting." I snapped. "Hmm. Perhaps I could tell you... if perhaps... no, it would never work. You would never make such sacrifice. Perhaps if you stay here with me." She smirked. "Never!" I grimaced. "Suit yourself. But just so you know, I'm the only one who knows. You won't find your answers by... making friends. Why must all my children be incompetent?! Although I suppose Mal is at the very least trying." She huffed. I went to my room. Van was waiting for me.
"Anything yet?" He asked. "No. Any luck with you?" I wondered. He shook his head. I threw myself on the bed in frustration.
"It's scary how my mother is letting us stay here. Almost like-" I suddenly gasped. That's it! She wants us to be here because it's not here.
"Vanitas, what if it's not something breaking out? What if it's something breaking in?" I realized. "You might just be on to something. It would be crazy dangerous to go to the edges of the barrier though. Most of where it runs is uncharted." He mentioned. "Come on. You're not scared of a little danger, are you?" I smiled. "I'm scared of your father." He replied. "He won't even know. Please?" I begged. I watched him struggle with himself.
"Fine, but we bring Xigbar." He decided. "What?! Why?" I whined. "Because he knows how to survive in the wilderness." He explained. "I've been tent camping !" I snapped. We stared at each other silently for a few moments before we both burst out laughing. That was such a stupid thing to say. Good thing it was only in front of Vanitas, the king of saying stupid things.
"Alright. We'll talk to Xigbar." I complied. "Thank you." He sighed. I got off my bed and kissed his cheek.
"Love you." I smiled. He smiled back.
"Love you too. It feels so weird to be able to say that." He laughed. "Get used to it. I don't intend to break up anytime soon." I smirked.
Thank you Samantha for your review.
JJ: So, for whatever reason, it blocked the name of the app. It sucks because I really wanted to check it out. Oh well.
