Guapo woke up in the closet and looked up and Chuck and Alfe were standing over him. Their eyes were glowing a bright white in the dark.

"Buddies?" Guapo squeaked nervously.

"Must lay siege to Mr. Doom's lair." Chuck muttered.

"We must be loyal to him.. Doom Jr…" Alfe smirked.

"Guys, you're better than this!" Guapo screamed.

"They are now." Guapo heard a voice from outside, belonging to a tall feminine figure. Next to her a deep and evil masculine voice chuckled.

"Why?! They were my only friends!" Guapo teared up.

"They were getting in the way of your dreams, we knew this was the only way to ensure your loyalty." The female voice giggled gently.

"No… This isn't what I want!" Guapo pleaded.

"We did this for you, son." The male voice laughed, his wife joining in.

"Wake up and join the real world. Wake up." Guapo's mother whispered.

"Wake up. Wake up." The two repeated.

"Wake UP!" Guapo was being shaken by Alfe as Chuck watched them with a concerned look. Both of their eyes were normal. Guapo gasped and hugged Alfe, he was in tears. Alfe patted his back. "There there, Guap."

"I'm glad you're okay." Guapo whimpered.

"Of course we are. And Alfe checked. No signs of anyone being here." Chuck smiled.

"I wish she was my biggest worry…" Guapo looked at the floor shamefully.

"It'll be okay." Alfe promised.

"I just… Don't want my parents to come…" Guapo's lip quivered.

"But I thought your parents loved you." Alfe frowned.

"My adopted parents did… But my real parents see me as some tool to take over the world." Guapo sighed.

"I never knew my biological parents." Chuck sighed.

"Me neither. I think they abandoned me." Alfe frowned.

"I wish I never knew mine." Guapo whimpered.

"Hey." Alfe hugged Guapo again. "I won't let them anywhere near you."

"Yeah…" Guapo grumbled. "I just hope I can keep them away from you…"

"What would they want with us? We're misfits." Chuck tried to assure.

"They "love" misfits more than anyone…" Guapo explained. "They take those who are flawed and make their lives miserable."

"Well, I'm strong, you're smarter than you look, and Chuck has the biggest heart of us." Alfe pointed out.

"You're the best." Guapo smiled through tears. "Never forget that."

"We're the best." Chuck smiled. The three high fived again.

"Maybe we can go out again, somewhere safer?" Alfe suggested.

"Sure, maybe after we do something here." Guapo nodded.

"I think you two will have to go somewhere alone. I need to get back to my family." Chuck sighed.

"Yeah, I'll take you back home soon." Guapo promised. "Nothing is more important than family…"

"That's right." A voice whispered in his head.

"Shut up!" Guapo waved his hands around his head. "Sorry, just voices in my head."

"It happened before." Alfe told Chuck.

"I see." Chuck acknowledged. The three went to play a board game together, something similar to Monopoly.

Later that evening Chuck went back to SLURP via Guapo's teleportation spell, Starley and Finley smiled upon seeing their younger brother.

"Chuck, there you are!" Starley hugged Chuck. "You missed an exciting adventure with us."

"Oh I had excitement, don't worry." Chuck smiled.

"I hope you had fun with your friends." Finley said.

"I did." Chuck smiled.

"Time for your rest, cadets!" Glargg commanded.

"But I'm not…" Chuck yawned. "Okay maybe I'm a little tired."

Glargg went to watch the three chickens and quickly counted them, then he exhaled from relief.

"Sleep well indeed, Chuck. You'll need it…" A pair of red eyes in the back giggled.
