(Luna and Tsume)
Luna and Tsume were trapped in that cage that trapped them. "How do we get out of here, Tsume?" Luna asked, grabbing onto the bars of the cage.
"I don't know. The metal looks so thick," Tsume replied with a sigh.
Luna wanted to get out of there. "Son of a bitch!" she cursed, grabbing the cage out of frustration.
She kicked it also, breaking the silence in the silent room. This caught the attention of Jagaura's soldiers; many of them had black armor on.
Both stand as wolves, hackled raised and ears dropped.
"Looks like we got two of them," one soldier said, approaching the cage.
Luna snarled at them, baring her fangs at them "This female has some fire in her," he said, coming closer to her.
Tsume saw the soldier right near his mate and he quickly stood in front of her, snarling at the soldier. "Looks like this grey one doesn't like this. It's very adorable," he said, sticking his hand in the cage like an idiot.
Tsume lunged forward and biting the soldier on the hand, who screamed as his entire hand was bitten off.
Tsume threw the man's severed hand on the floor. Luna nuzzled her mate. Before she could speak, both wolves were struck by the soldiers' high-powered air guns, knocking them out instantly.
(Cells)
When Tsume woke up, he saw that he was in a room filled with cells with cage-like doors. He sees Luna still knocked out on the floor.
"Luna!" he cried, crawling over to his unconscious mate. "Wake up! Wake up..." he begged, picking her up from the floor.
This seemed to work because Luna began to stir in his arms. "Ts...Tsume?" she groaned, opening her green eyes. She looked up at him and saw the worry in his eyes.
"Thank God," he said in relief, kissing her. She kissed him back for a few seconds before they broke apart to gather their surroundings.
"Where the hell are we?" she said, standing up. "I don't know, but we gotta get out of here," Tsume replied, standing up.
They started to ram their bodies against the thin bars of the cell doors. But it brought the attention of someone.
"Stop that. You two are hurting yourselves for no reason," an old woman says. "Yeah, you might as well save your energy," someone else said.
For a moment, Luna didn't recognize the voice. "They all tried to escape that way, but its useless," the old woman said again. They both stopped what they were doing.
Luna blinked closer and saw the familiar face of her sister, Samara in the cage next to the old womans. "Samara!? Is that you?" she called, looking out of the cage door.
Samara heard Luna's voice and she looked over at her. "I didn't think I'd see you again, Luna," Samara said with a weak smile.
"Wh-What happened? Why're you in here?" Luna asked, tearing up when she saw just how thin Samara really was.
"That leader of yours was right about the whole sheep thing. We were captured a day after you guys left. They killed Aaron... they killed everyone except me... Since I've been in here... I've been getting weaker and weaker," Samara replied, sitting against the wall.
Luna looked down. "I know... I-I saw him..." she said, remembering how Luna saw not only him but their parents as well.
Samara woke up when she heard this. "You did? How?" she asked.
Tears rose in Luna's eyes. "He was stuffed... in a room with Jaguara's other wolves. Mom and Dad were there too," she said.
Samara went quiet and tears rose in her good eye. She never thought that they werer closer than they thought.
"I'm gonna make those bastards pay for this, Samara... I swear," Luna said. Once she got out of here, she's gonna sink her fangs in Jaguara's throat.
Samara looked over at Luna, and she weakly smiled. "I'll join you and your mate if we do get out of here," she said optimistically.
"How did you know Tsume was my mate?" Luna asked, a bit surprised. "You two share the same scent. It wasn't hard to miss," Samara replied.
Luna cracked a grin. They were silent for a minute before Tsume looked up and spoke to the old woman, who was a wolf also.
"You mentioned that others had tried to escape? Who's they?" the grey wolf asked.
"My pack. They were all captured and brought us to this place like the black and white she-wolf next to me. Many others were captured too. The one that was spared was wearing the collar. That bastard had betrayed us all," the old woman answered.
(Hige and Blue)
Hige had stopped running. "Hige, wait up!" Blue called, still behind him.
"DON'T FOLLOW ME!" Hige bellowed at her, making her back up.
Hige then started to laugh like he had gone insane. Needless to say, it worried Blue. Why was he acting like this?
The awful pain in his head shot through again and he groaned, falling to the ground, unconscious.
Blue ran over to him and shook him by the shoulders. "Hige? What's going on? What happened to you?" she asked, but she got no response.
"Hige? C'mon, quit playing around!" Blue cried, becoming frantic. But he still wouldn't wake up. Tears sprung to Blue's eyes.
"No... *turns him over* C'mon, you've got to wake up! Don't do this! Don't you die on me! Please don't leave me..." she sobbed, pulling him into her arms.
As she sobbed, Hige groaned and cracked his eyes open. Blue heard this and pulled him back so she could look at him.
He weakly smiled at her. "Hey Blue... Can you do me a favor? My collar..." he said, glancing up at her.
Blue was confused for a minute. "What?" she asked. "Would you take my collar off of me?" he said.
Blue looked down at his collar; it was the very thing that was trying to gain control of him.
(Tsume and Luna)
"My pack was relatively small, but we manged alright. Everyone looked out for one another. We tried to make them feel like they were one of our own. So naturally, when he came along, we took him in without a second thought. We shared our food, our beds, everything we had..." the old she-wolf said, her voice trailing off.
"Why had we been so ignorant? Afterwards, we were attacked by soldiers without warning. It didn't matter how hard we hid, no matter how far we ran, we were always found. When we came here, we finally figured it out. We knew it was because of him," she said.
(Blue and Hige)
Blue tried to tear Hige's collar with her fangs but she found that the material was much too tough for her to bite through. She let go because she had to catch her breath from pulling so much. "It's okay… just forget it," Hige quietly said.
Blue sat up as a human, anger in her eyes. "No way! If this stupid thing is hurting you, I have to get it off-" she said, but was cut off when Hige put his hand on her right cheek.
Hige looked up at her. "You know… you're a great woman," he said. "Don't start talking crazy to me now!" she shouted.
He then dropped his head with a look of sorrow and regret. "I've been so blind. I never understood it. It's kind of funny… but… all of my memories. That was just a lie…" he sobbed, tightly closing his eyes.
He didn't know what he could gain by believing that those memories were real. It didn't make any sense.
Suddenly, they hear two sets of footsteps coming their way. Blue looked up and saw two of Jaguara's soldiers with their weapons raised. She jumped up and charged at them as a wolf.
She bared her teeth and she lunged at one of the soldiers, grabbing his gun. She knocked the soldier to the ground but ended up getting grazed by a bullet in the process.
Hige instantly reacted when he saw this. "Blue!" he cried, his eyes widened. He jumped up and grabbed her by the hand.
As they escaped, Hige's collar was shot off by one of the bullets. They escape before the soldiers could follow them.
(Luna, Tsume, Toboe, Sky, Hub)
Inside the cells, Hub was also there. He laid on the hard surface that was supposed to be his bed. "Water… give me water…" he said.
Both Luna and Tsume could hear him speak but remained quiet. That was until they both heard the door open and they caught the scents of Toboe and Sky.
"Let go! Let go of us!" Toboe shouted, fighting to get loose. Both Luna and Tsume run to the door of their cell and they both see their daughter and pack member being carried in by their shirt collars.
"Toboe! Sky!" Tsume shouted. Luna felt tears rise in her eyes when she saw how they were treating her child and pack member.
"Toboe! Sky! Oh, thank God!" Luna cried out, more than happy to see them again.
"Mom! Dad! Let go!" Sky shouted, wiggling as hard as she could to get loose of the soldiers.
The soldiers stood in front of the cell beside Luna and Tsume's and opened the door. They threw the two pups inside and shut the door.
Afterward, they go over to the old woman and Samara's cells. Luna realizes what they were about to do. "Leave her alone!" she shouted, referring to Samara.
But they didn't listen and shot down both of them. "NO! Samara!" she cried, tears rising in her eyes. Samara couldn't be dead… She just got her back.
The others were just as shocked to see this. Hub stumbled over to his cell door and looked outwards at the soldiers. "C'mon… please let me out. What's gonna happen to me?" he asked, but he was also ignored.
The soldiers bring out the bodies of the two she-wolves, shocking Hub. "Wait a minute… those women… they were wolves?" he gasped.
The soldiers then leave, closing and locking the doors. "Mom, Dad!" Sky cried, wanting to be held by her parents so badly. She tried reaching out and managed to catch Luna's hand.
"Thank God you two are alright… We're here, sweetheart. We're okay…" Luna assured, trying to not break down into tears from witnessing her sister's death.
Toboe pulled himself out of his shock. "Tsume... Luna..." he said tearfully. "Toboe, Sky, what happened to Hige?" Tsume asked them, holding onto the metal bars of the cell door.
"We don't know. We got split up," Toboe answered. "Where's Uncle Kiba? Didn't he go with you guys?" Sky asked, tears in her mixed-colored eyes.
"He might still be inside the keep, honey," Luna assured. Kiba should be smart enough to find his way through this awful place.
"You guys don't think... he's been killed, do ya?" Toboe asked worriedly.
They all stand in their wolf forms inside those cells, much to Hubb's shock.
"If anything has happened, we would've felt it. Kiba's alive. He has to be," Tsume said, raising his ears.
"What's going to happen to us? If we don't do something, we'll all get split up! And we won't be able to save Cheza!" Toboe exclaimed.
Toboe dropped his head and dropped his ears. "What do we do?" Toboe asked.
"We don't know, Toboe. But it won't matter if we don't figure out a way out of here," Luna replied.
They stand as humans again. "But how, Luna? They're gonna kill us just like Samara and that old lady! We won't see the others again..." Toboe whimpered.
"Don't say that, kid," Tsume said. "We won't make it to that paradise place either!" Sky cried out.
"Sky, we are going to paradise, do you hear me? We'll be damned if we let it end like this. We promise we're gonna get out of here," Tsume said, keeping his tone calm.
Hub turns around to face the four wolves. "Excuse me? Are you four wolves?" he asked. They look over at him.
Hub sat down again and sighed. "You are, aren't you?" he asked.
"Yeah? Who are you?" Tsume asked. He'd been trying to keep control of his language in front of his daughter.
"Everything in the Book of the Moon, is it true?" Hubb said.
"Hey, Mister? Why are you in here?" Sky asked, looking at the human.
"Yeah, you're a human," Toboe added. Hubb grinned and chuckled.
"If you're looking for Cheza, I was with her," he said.
All four wolves held onto the bars with wide eyes. "The soldiers brought us here together. But I don't know where they're keeping her," Hubb said.
"We gotta get out of here now!" Toboe shouted. Tsume and Luna started to use their shoulders to slam against the door.
Sky and Toboe soon follow their lead and started to do the same thing.
(Jaguara)
The heavily armored female noble stood in front of the globe that had Cheza inside of it, who was submerged in green liquid.
"Can you sense it, my dear? This feeling of joy within my heart. Everything is about to begin. Soon, my beloved will return to me at last," she says.
(Kiba)
A few moments after, Kiba had arrived to the room where Cheza was kept in. He pushed the doors open with both hands and Cheza is the first thing he sees.
"Cheza! Are you okay?" he exclaimed, running over to the orb. Tears rose in his eyes when he saw her again after so long.
"At last... I finally found you..." he whispered, raising a hand and placing it on the glass orb.
She hadn't answered him, which made him frantic. "Why won't you answer me!?" he shouted.
"The white wolf..." Jaguara said from behind him. Kiba turns around quickly and sees the noble standing behind him.
He stood in his wolf form, baring his fangs at her. "You are the one. The wolf that was chosen by the flower. How beautiful you are," she spoke to him.
Kiba snarled at her, both ears raised all the way. He lunged towards the noble but she raised her hand, using magic to make him stop in his tracks.
A bright ring appeared from the ground, and the white wolf felt that this power was much stronger than he was. He couldn't stand any more.
Jaguara walked passed him and over to Cheza. "Cheza. Open your eyes. Open them for my paradise," Jagaura said.
Cheza does so, sensing that Kiba was in the room with her. "Kiba... Kiba..." she whispered in Kiba's head.
Thenm there was a violent bubbling and shattering sound from behind the white wolf.
His gold eyes widened and he snarled again, baring his fangs again. It angered him that Jaguara was making Cheza do all of this.
The water spilled out of the cracked orb and it flowed passed the white wolf.
"My prayers have been answered. Cheza, we must celebrate with a feast, don't you think?" Jaguara gleefully says, laughing.
Cheza was hanging by her arms from the restraints that were attached to the orb.
(Darcia and Cher)
Darcia had also made it to Jaguara's keep. He was wearing all black with a feathered head dress and mask.
He continued to walk forward and noticed Cher, who noticed him as well. Cher's eyes widen in terror. She had every right to fear him.
"Darcia..." she said as the man walked passed her. She ran up to him. He stopped and didn't look at her.
"Will you follow me into the very heart of darkness?" he asked. Cher didn't answer him, but she didn't need to.
Just like him, she seeked something inside the keep. He walked on, making the many guards fall because of his wolf's eye. He didn't raise a single finger.
They both make it inside the keep.
(Jaguara)
In the ballroom, many of the nobles talked amongst themselves, waiting for their lady to arrive.
Kiba had been taken to a room where the nobles would open their allege paradise. He had been strapped down and had tubes in very part of his veins.
They were going to suck out all of his blood.
She put purple lipstick on and made a kissing gesture towards the mirror.
Jaguara was getting herself ready for the ceremony. "The preparations are complete.Tell me... am I not beautiful?" she asked the servant behind her.
"Of course, my lady," the servant said. "For the final right, we will stoke the Moonlight Crucible with the white wolf's blood," Jaguara replied.
The servant bows and walks out of the room.
(Kiba)
"Kiba... Are you alive...?" Cheza asked in Kiba's head.
"Cheza... please... sing for me...: he said. And she did. He heard Cheza's sweet voice in his ears, making him open his eyes weakly.
(Luna, Tsume, Toboe, Sky)
Kiba wasn't the only one to hear Cheza's voice. The other wolves heard it as well.
Luna stops once she hears Cheza singing. "Wait! Do you hear that?" she asked, looking upwards.
"I hear it too," Tsume said, looking upwards. "What is it? Who's singing?" Sky asked, hearing it as well.
"It's Cheza! She's singing..." Toboe answered, tears rising in his eyes.
"Why is she crying like that?" Tsume asked, listening attentively.
"It sounds so sad..." Sky whimpered, looking down.
Hubb looked at the four wolves with wide eyes. He wasn't able to hear Cheza's voice.
"Are you hearing Cheza's voice?" he asked. They all started to tremble in anger and fear, their breathing staggered.
That gave the pack motivation to keep going with their attempt escape.
They used as much strength as they could to break through those bars.
"You four would be willing... to die for her. Why would wolves... sacrifice so much?" Hubb said. He stands up and started to pull on the metal bars.
(Jagaura)
Jaguara walked through the doors to the ballroom. Everyone in there clapped as she walked inside. "Welcome to the great feast! Tonight, Jagaura's paradise will be lost upon the world!" she said, starting to dance.
(Hige and Blue)
"I'm sorry for making you run so much," Hige said, glancing down at the red cables that led the way inside the keep.
"It's okay," Blue said, looking at the darkening sky.
Neither had no idea what was happening within the walls of the keep.
"Blue, I have to go," he said sadly. Blue looked over at him. "Are you going to save them?" she asked.
"I have to try," he answered her. "You know, I always believed it was just luck. But guess that I was nothing but trouble to those guys from the very start," Hige said.
"That's not true," Blue replied. "Yeah, it is. But my memory wasn't all the way there. I thought we could make it to Paradise. The whole way here, that was going through my mind. Then we ended up here," Hige said, tears on the verge of falling over.
Blue blinked at him. "I'll go with you," she said, standing next to him.
Hige grinned and looked over at her. "I knew you'd say that. But I can't let you," Hige said.
"How come?" Blue asked. "I need you to wait here," Hige said.
Blue became hysterical. "No, Hige! Don't leave me behind!" she begged.
Hige turned and grabbed her by the shoulders. "I won't, Blue! If I know you're waiting, I'll make it back no matter what! It's the only thing that can get me through. If I know you're here, then I won't give up! I promise you, I'll never leave you alone, Blue," Hige said, swearing on his life that he would return to her.
Blue's eyes softened, knowing that he would come back for her.
She watched as he jumped down to the cables and he sprinted as fast as he could towards the keep, not stopping once.
(Kiba)
Kiba felt his body ache. The pain was unbearable as it got more and more intense.
"Cheza!" he shouted in pain. Things weren't looking good at all.
