Brittany's Point of View
Mom went next door to see if Leon had anything that she needed to attend to, leaving just me and Dad in a house that I had never stepped foot in that was apparently my home. I was sitting on a sofa while Dad was in an armchair adjacent to me. Instead of saying anything, I just glared at him. He met my eyes with a glare of his own. The door opened. "Guess who I found at Merlin's?" Mom said.
I didn't remove my glare from Dad, but he turned to Mom. A look of surprise came over his face. Curious, I looked at the door where Mom had just come in to find that Alison was with her. "Aly?!" I gasped.
"Hi, Brit," Alison greeted. I ran to embrace her. "Sorry I had to bow out at your school celebration. Braig was worried that if I stayed, people would get mad at me."
I let go of Alison. "I'm glad. Things got ugly. Those frilly princes and princesses can shove their-" I started.
"Brittany, that's enough," Dad snapped. I rolled my eyes. Dad turned to Alison. "What are you even doing here?"
"I'm staying with Braig and his family. I took a walk and ended up in front of Merlin's house, and he invited me in for tea. Yuffie showed up and invited me here," Alison explained.
"Why are you staying with Braig?" Dad asked.
"Because it's what our father wanted. Sora knows about it," Alison mentioned.
Dad glared at us. "I'm going to take a walk," He stated. He shoved past us to go out the door.
"Sorry about that. He's a little upset. Do you girls want anything?" Mom offered.
"No. That's okay, Mom," I answered.
"Alright. I'll be just down the hall if you need anything," Mom smiled. She left us alone in the living room.
"What exactly happened after I was gone?" Alison wondered.
I took a deep breath and began to recount the events of the day.
