The time has come.
200 years have passed since the day of destruction; which was said to have been
brought down by Lord Darcia I.
All the necessary items have been collected as was recorded in the Book of the Moon.
The guide of the Lunar Flower, awakened by wolf's precious blood.
The white wolf's birthright is to rule this world.
The Moonlight Crucible...
It has given power to this city by contertiv the moonlight to be bathed into energy.
However, the world is at an end.
For this will be a new dawn of a new age.
Paradise will open for us and not for the wolves.
Darcia walked inside the ballroom with Cher behind him. Cher saw Cheza in that orb and walked over to the flower maiden. "Cheza..." Cher whispered. Cher was going to find a way to save her.
Darcia and Jaguara stood face to face to each other. "I've been waiting for you," she said to him. Both nobles had removed their head gear, throwing them to the floor.
"I never imaged that I'd look upon that face in my lifetime again," Darcia said.
"The countenance of your beloved maiden," Jaguara replied, referring to Harmona. "She's your younger sister if I recall," Darcia said, correcting her.
"You know it as well as I, that her soul was lost that day. But you were the only one unwilling, to face the truth. So, I released you from that heavy burden. Yes, we were alike in face and body. If Harmona was Light, then I was shadow. I was content with that, then you appeared, and thrust us into turmoil. The unrivaled instigator. Darcia III. You brought it all upon yourself. Come, let us dance," Jaguara said, holding out her hand towards him.
(Blue)
Blue was still in the same spot Hige had left herr in. She sees the lights of the city go out. People below her began to panic. All Blue could do was watch.
(Cher)
Meanwhile, Cher saw that Cheza was in agony. She also saw veins starting to cover her neck. They were growing too.
"She's withering... *quickly realizes* No, wait. She's starting to bloom!" she said, looking upwards with wide eyes.
She reached for the controls, but it shocked her. It felt so strange to her.
(Kiba)
Kiba gritted his teeth and squeezed his eyes shut. Cheza's song was starting to become deafening... unbearable to his ears.
"Ch-Cheza... where are you...? I can't... I can't hear your song anymore..."
he growled. "Kiba... Hurry, Kiba," Cheza spoke inside his head.
He bared his teeth and struggled against the restraints. "Cheza..." he shouted, sounding like he was close to tears.
(Tsume, Luna, Sky, Toboe, Hubb)
Meanwhile, Luna, Tsume, Sky, and Toboe were still slamming their bodies against the cell doors. Neither one was going to give up so easily.
They all knew that Cheza needed them. They kept going until Tsume and Luna and Tsume's cell moved a little bit before closing again.
"Hey, it moved just now!" Toboe said. "Finally! Keep going!" Tsume said in relief. They continue to slam their bodies against the doors.
Hubb noticed how they were doing this. "So that's how. *To the wolves* You can't open them that way!" he shouted, getting them to stop.
They all looked at him. "Listen to me, it looks like the locks to these cells are powered by electricity. The flow of energy in this place is starting to become erratic. If you slam your bodies at the same time when the lights go dim, I think they'll open," Hubb said.
The four look at one another. When the lights go dim, Hubb shouts, "Hit it now!"
Toboe and Sky slam against the door as hard as they can, making the door move a bit before closing. "He's right," Sky said, looking upwards.
"Try it again! You guys can do it!" Hubb said, encouraging the wolves.
The lights go dim again and they all slam their bodies at the same time.
Both doors opened a bit before closing again. "Yes, just one more time! Here we go!" Hubb shouted, cheering them on.
For the final time, they all slam their bodies against the bars, making the doors stay open.
"It worked!" Toboe cheered. Luna was still in disbelief that a human helped them escape. Tsume took the door and forced it open.
Before they could walk out, the lights come back on.
They all see Hige walk inside. "Well, what do you know? I guess I came to rescue you guys for nothing," he said, seeing that Tsume and Luna's cage was open.
"Uncle Hige!" Sky beamed. "Hige!" Toboe exclaimed.
Tsume and Luna were not at all pleased to see him. Hige pressed the button to their door and opened it for younger wolves.
Toboe ran to him and grabbed his hoodie. "I'm so glad you're not dead!" the red wolf exclaimed.
Hige glanced upwards at Tsume and Luna, and he saw the unpleased look on their faces. Sky held onto her mother's jacket, and stood between her parents.
"Aren't you two gonna get out of there?" he asked, but they didn't say anything.
"Was this all a part of your plan?" Tsume said in a growl. "Yeah, did you think we wouldn't find out?" Luna growled. Sky and Toboe were confused.
"What are you guys talking about?" Toboe asked. "In that room. There were wolves stuffed and mounted like trophies. Luna's family was in there too," Tsume growled at the mexican wolf.
Sky gasped when she heard that. Toboe was horrified.
"Where's your collar?" Luna asked, noticing that Hige's collar was no longer on his neck.
"That stupid thing was just a number," Hige said, looking down at his feet. He was profoundly guilty and knew that he was responsible for the deaths of hundreds of wolves.
"Then explain to us how you managed to waltz in here without being noticed," Tsume said, trying to keep his tone calm.
"Was it your plan to bring us in here?" Tsume continued. "I don't know!" Hige shouted.
"Yeah, right! You were the nobles' pet! You helped them kill your own kind!" Luna snarled at him, not holding back her anger.
"If you think that's what I am, then go ahead and kill me!" Hige snapped. He looked down and saw the look on Sky's face.
He saw that neither Luna and Tsume had moved from their spots. "Please, I mean it," he said, his expression softening.
"Cut it out! That doesn't sound like you at all!" Toboe shouted, grabbing Hige's yellow hoodie.
"Like me? What does that mean? Like me? How can I be me... when I don't know who that is?" Hige said. He didn't understand who he was exactly.
Sky looked at her parents for a moment before going up to Hige. "Uncle Hige... The real Hige is kind and funny... but is careless. *Looks up at him with tears in her eyes* But he's... he's always someone you can count on. That's the REAL Hige..." she says.
Hige had a moment of clarity and sighed. "Things have gotten pretty weird inside the keep. You guys can make it out of you hurry," he said, walking away.
"And just where do you think you're going?" Tsume asked. "There's something I need to take care of," Hige answered, walking out of the room.
"Hige!" Toboe shouted, running after him. Tsume and Luna stare in the direction that they went down.
"Are you guys going after them?" Hubb asked. Luna and Tsume nodded in agreement.
Tsume grabbed Sky by the hand and Luna opened the door to Hubb's door before they ran out of there. "Thanks... I'll be damned... wolves..." he said to himself.
(Blue)
Blue leaned against the wall, hands in her pockets. "The scents are coming back..." she said, catching the scent. Then, she caught a familiar scent. Before she knew it, she was running down the alleyway.
When she made it to the next alley, she saw Quent staggering against the wall before falling over. "Pops... Oh, no!" she gasped, running over to the fallen man.
She knelt down and checked for a pulse. Thankfully, there was one. "He's alive..." she said with a smile. She remembered all the good times she had with him while their family was still alive.
She then leaned against the wall that was adjacent to him. Quent slowly woke up and sat up. "You'll catch your death of cold if you fall asleep out here," she said, keeping it cool.
Quent sat upwards and rested an arm on his knee. "Lay off, will you?" he sighed.
"You're not one of the locals. So where are you from, old man?" Blue asked. "Just what the hell difference does it make to you?" Quent said a bit crossly.
"Not much. Just making conversation," Blue said with a slight shrug.
"From Kurios," Quent answered finally. "Ah," Blue nodded. "You mean you know it?" Quent asked.
"No. But from what I understand, the place was wiped out by Jaguara's troops ages ago. They torched the town looking for wolves," Blue explained.
His eyes widen in disbelief and he shot up to his feet. "That's a lie! Don't you give me that crap!" he shouted, getting in Blue's face.
"Sorry, but it's true. They were hunting a pack of wolves that just happened to pick Kurios as a hideout, so they burned it," Blue said, her tone still the same.
Quent didn't want to believe this. He backed up against the adjacent wall. "I don't believe that for a second! No!" Quent shouted.
Blue opened her eyes and she looked at him. "I saw them... with my own two eyes. *Starts to walk away* It was wolves! They killed him. They killed Rouse!" he shouted.
Blue got off the wall and faced him. She couldn't take it anymore. "The wolves didn't kill him! You got to believe me! Please, Pops..." she said finally, getting him to stop.
"Oh my God! Blue!" he cried, turning around to face her. She stood in her wolfdog form and she pricked her ears. With a whine, she runs over to him with her tail wagging. Quent embraced her around her neck, crying into her fur.
Blue whined happily and nuzzled him. He knows the truth about her wolf side.
(Kiba)
The machine right above the white wolf started to spark to life. "Kiba... you have to fight... Or else... this one will whither..." Cheza spoke inside his head.
"Ch...Cheza! Hold on!" Kiba cried out, feeling his strength renew. Letting out a howl, he broke through the restraints and got to his paws. Shaking the tubes off, he raises his head and howled again.
He then runs alongside the crucible at the speed of light. He jumped atop the contraption, he glared down at Jaguara's followers.
They had witnessed the power of the white wolf right before them. He then jumped inside the crucible, running through a portal of gold. A gold cloud. He didn't stop running though.
"We the nobles have become lost. Disconnected from the world from our birth. We quietly wait for a lonely death. But you and I can step forward forever," Jaguara said. "But in this scale and stagnant of time one can neither long for in the past, nor change what has yet to come," Darcia responded.
"A fabricated paradise... such a place which holds no future..." Kiba says, sounding distant.
The place he came to... wasn't paradise at all. It was the paradise that the nobles envisioned. Both Jagara and Darcia stood in each other's arms in the grassy field of their paradise.
The red moon sat behind them above the sparkling water and lunar flowers were around them, its petals flying around them.
"But what of your grandfather? He too searched for Paradise, only for Nobles," Jagara said to him.
"That man only thought of himself. He cared for nothing about those he left behind. That's why he vanished. Our clan was cursed. It's meaningless," Darcia replied.
"Liar. You've been decieving yourself from the beginning. Never once giving your heart over to the truth. Even now, when what you long for is right in front of your eyes," Jagara says, smiling at him.
"It is meaningless," he said again. "Because of Harmona?" Jagara laughed mockingly, "You are not so ignorant. You've always known who it was for, haven't you? That I, your blood, they have longed for paradise," Jagara said.
"You're wrong. This world. It's not Paradise," Kiba spoke through Darcia. Jagara's eyes widened in shock and she backed away.
"Who are you? What trickery is this?!" she asked before she hears growling from behind her. Behind her, stood a white wolf with gold eyes. "It can't be. A wolf?! But why?"She asked.
The wolf growled at her and lunged towards her, biting her throat. She let out a scream that wasn't her own. It was Cheza's scream. Her paradise vanished before her.
She stumbled away from Darcia, her spiked collar fell from her neck, covered in blood. "It's over. Your paradise has been closed," Darcia said as the keep started shaking and started to crumble.
Jagara screamed in anger and took out her dagger. She stabbed him and glared at him.
(Kiba)
Kiba watched the portal close and jumped out of the globe as it breaks open. He ran across the cracked floor. "Cheza!" he shouted.
(Cher)
Cher's eyes widened when she saw the keep starting to shake. She steadied herself and looked up at Cheza.
The water had drained from the globe she was in, but hung because of the cables that she was attached to. More green veins grew on the skin that showed, except for her face.
"Cheza!" Cher screamed, pressing the buttons to release Cheza from the globe. Cheza fell and landed in a pile of Lunar Flowers that was below her.
Cher runs over to the maiden and knelt down beside her. "Cheza..." she said, picking her up in a motherly way.
Cheza opened her eyes a bit, getting Cher to smile in relief.
She lowers her head towards Cheza because she was trying to say something to the blonde-haired woman.
"I know... I know... I saw it too. But that wasn't it, Cheza..." Cher said with a nod, trying to hold back her tears.
"Kiba... the wolves... Paradise..." Cheza whispered. "It'll be alright. They'll come... I know they will," Cher assured, pulling the maiden into her arms and started to cry.
(Jagara and Darcia)
Darcia pulled out the dagger and threw it to the side. "But why...? I did it all for you! Why my love? Why do you love her and not me?!" Jagara shouted, swinging her sword towards him.
Darcia took out his sword and blocked the blow. She breaks the contact and backed up before charging again.
Each time she swung her sword, Darcia blocked it. She then lowers her arm afterwards stared at him. "I love you, Darcia. Come with me... to my paradise," Jagara said, only for Hamona's voice to come out.
"Stop it!" Darcia growled. Jagara laughed manacially. "That's right my darling... the sword was poisoned... my sweet messenger of death. Now you'll belong with me... forever," she spoke again.
He then falls to the ground. Just then, Hige comes out of nowhere in his wolf form and lunges towards her. The tan wolf landed behind her before rounding and lunging towards her again, baring his teeth.
Jagara was ready this time and she dodged easily. "Don't interfere!" she shouted, thrusting her sword in the tan wolf's shoulder, pinning him to the ground. He yelped in pain as blood splattered around his left side.
(Everybody)
They all hear Hige's cries from the corridor. They make it to the doorway and see their pack member laying on the ground wounded.
"Hige!" Toboe yelled. "No!" Sky cried, tears rising in her eyes. Hige growled in pain, starting to shake.
Cheza sensed Kiba's presence. "Kiba..." she said, no longer whispering.
Jagara and the others look at the white wolf, who stood in the doorway. "What do you want? Get out!" Jagara scowled.
"Paradise is ours... we're taking it back!" Kiba growled, baring his fangs as he bolted towards the noble, who dodged out of the way.
Luna looked towards the noble and felt her anger bowling over. This was going too far. She shook her head and knelt down next to her pack mate. Tsume pulled the blood-covered sword out of Hige's side and he threw it to the side.
"Hige..." Toboe whimpered, having an arm around Hige's back. "I... I have to..." Hige grunted, trying to stand to his paws.
"Uncle Hige, don't move!" Sky gasped, trying to help him. "No... I promised to make things right..." Hige growled, baring his fangs.
"Hige!" Toboe shouted in panic. "I gave... my word!" Hige grunted, glaring at the noble he no longer worked for. "To who?" Luna asked.
"To... her..." Hige answered through the pain. Luna realized that 'her' was Blue. Kiba tried to jump on her again, trying to test her week angles.
Jagara raised her hand and used her powers again to stop him. The same purple circle forms around hiim. "I'll take it all. Every last ounce of your strength!" she shouted.
However, Kiba was able to overcome her power and started to walk forward. "Impossible..." Jagara said in shock.
Hige pushed the others aside and lunged at her again, baring his fangs at her. She was just barely able to dodge the tan wolf. He falls to the ground due to his weakness, his blood smearing the purple flooring.
Luna has had enough of this. She wasn't going to lose another pack to this noble. "She's going to pay..." Luna growled, standing up.
"Mom, no! She'll hurt you!" Sky begged, grabbing her mother's hand. Luna looked down at her daughter. "I'll be okay. I've dealt with this before," Luna said. Tsume was about to stop her but the black she-wolf ran at her in her wolf form.
Jagara was barely able to see Luna coming at her throat. Luna managed to bite her shoulder before Jagara used her sword to deeply cut her right cheek.
She growled again, her blood dripping to the floor. She ran to Hige in her human form. "Don't move, Hige. Everything's gonna be okay," she assured, seeing how deep his wound was.
"She hurt you..." Hige said. "I know... I've dealt with that bitch before... I'll be fine," Luna answered, not worrying about her cheek.
Jagara was bitten again by Kiba, making her bleed. She stumbled back but was able to regain her balance. Behind her, Darcia stood. She turned around and smiled weakly when she saw him.
"Darcia..." she whispered. But Darcia impaled her with his sword, making her eyes widen. She fell to the ground... dead.
Darcia turns towards Kiba, who stood in his human form. "As I thought, you truly are the chosen wolf," he said.
"What are you? I have to know. You're not a wolf nor noble," he asked the noble.
Darcia then holds his hand out, revealing an orb. "I was chosen as well. Now I understand. It is not merely that we search for Paradise. But that Paradise... is calling for us..." Darcai said, closing his hand. He then walks away.
The others run over to where Hige and Luna were. Kiba picked Cheza up bridal style, and he held her close to him.
"Mama!" Sky cried, running over to her mother. Luna knelt down and let her child embrace her by the neck. Tsume knelt down and hugged his mate and daughter.
"Don't do that again..." he whispered, hugging them both. "Don't worry. I've had worse than this... I'll be okay," Luna assured.
After a minute, Luna and Toboe helped Hige up by one arm over their shoulders while Tsume took his daughter in his arms.
They all left the keep as it started to fall and crumble around them. When they make it out, Luna looked over her shoulder to look at the keep. 'Goodbye, Mom, Dad, Aaron, Samara... We'll meet again in Paradise...' she thought before moving forward.
