(3rd POV)

The city was starting to become covered in ice since Jagara's keep had fallen. Every human in this city was now struggling to survive.

Hige led the others to the alleyway where he left Blue. Only to find that she wasn't there anymore. He fell to his knees in despair, and he dropped his head.

The others looked on at him, feeling sympathy for him. "She was here... I know she was..." he whimpered.

He felt hurt that Blue had left this spot after he said she'd come back for him.

"Hige, maybe she followed her instincts," Toboe assured him. "Or maybe she didn't think you'd keep your promise," Tsume said, still holding onto his daughter.

"Dad..." she said, getting him to look at her. Luna looked at them and then turned towards Hige. "She might have left this city, Hige. I'm sure you made things right for her. There's nothing you could've done to keep her here," the black she-wolf said.

Hige looked over his shoulder to look at her. He knew she was right. Cheza then looked up at the white wolf. "Kiba," she said. She wanted tot heal the tan wolf's wound.

Kiba nodded and brought her over to Hige. She touched his wounded shoulder, creating a silver glow around it. "Don't give up on Paradise. It is meant for all of you," she said, using as much stregnth as she could.

Sky watched Cheza perform her magic in amazement. She knew that this was the flower maiden that her pack has said so much about.

Hige was starting be become agitated and he started to shake. "Kiba! That's enough, make her stop! Please!" he cried, on the verge of tears.

Kiba stood back up and walked over to Luna, who put a hand on her cheek. Luna instantly felt warm when she felt this.

"You... must make it... All of you. Take your child with you..." Cheza said, her touch becoming unbearable. "Kiba, take her, please," she said, tears in her green eyes. He does and stands in front of Tsume. "Tsume, take her," he instructed. Tsume nodded and looked over to his mate.

"Luna, take Sky," the grey wolf tells her. "Okay. C'mere, sweetheart," Luna said, taking her daughter from Tsume.

Sky wrapped both arms around Luna's neck and she tucked her head in the side of her neck.

Tsume takes Cheza in his arms before walking over to Hige. "Here, grab onto me," he said, kneeling down next to the tan wolf.

Hige was hesitant about accepting Kiba's request. "Huh? But a-are you gonna say anything about… how Jagara and I…" he started, but Kiba didn't let him finish.

Kiba grabbed one of his arms and threw it over his shoulders.

"Hige, do you remember what you and Luna told me when we first met? It was that having pride doesn't count if you're dead. We've been going to Paradise since the very start. And it hasn't changed and it won't ever again," Kiba said, hoisting Hige to his feet.

Luna beamed with nostalgia. She did remember them saying that back in Freeze City. It made her smile that Kiba, as absentminded as he could be, remembered those exact words.

(Miles Away)

The pack had made it far away from that city. They reached a dark, barren landscape. This was what was left of the world.

There were other life forms other than themselves. They traveled for what felt like days. Sky had managed to get a little bit of food in her after they found a couple of rabbits. Possibly the only rabbits left on this planet.

After a couple of days of running, the pack stopped to rest.

They all slept as wolves. Luna had woken up, seeing her daughter and mate sleeping next to her.

Her ears perked up when she saw Hige asleep on the side that wasn't injured. Cheza gently petted Kiba's head as he slept next to her.

She stopped when she sensed that Luna was awake. As careful as she could, the black she-wolf rose to her paws and she walked over to the weakened flower maiden.

"Can't you sleep, Luna?" the flower maiden asked. Luna sat next to her in her human form.

"No. Something's bothering me, Cheza. I… I can't stand to see Hige heartbroken over Blue. I know he loves her… like how I love Tsume," Luna admitted, understanding Hige's feelings for the wolfdog.

Cheza smiled at her gently. "You and Tsume have a beautiful child together," she commented. Luna looked over at Sky and smiled.

"Yeah… I never thought we could love anybody as much as we do with her," Luna said, "I see. May ask how you two reacted to her?" Cheza wondered curiously.

Luna smiled again. "I found out before Tsume did. Both of us knew that we couldn't raise a pup in a world like this, especially a dying world. I was scared. Now that she's here, we can't give her up. I want to be there for my friend. Hige's been through the worst out of all of us and he deserves to be happy with the one he loves most. I'm gonna help him," she said, standing up.

Cheza looked up at the black she-wolf. "Are you sure you want to go?" Cheza asked her.

Luna turned around and looked at Cheza with her gold eyes. "I'm sure, Cheza. I'm gonna find Blue and bring her back here. Please tell Tsume and Sky that I haven't abandoned them. And… if I don't come back, please let them know that I love them both so much?" Luna requested, dropping her ears a little.

Cheza puts a hand on Luna's cheek, running her fingers through her fur. "This one promises to tell them," she promised.

She hugged the black she-wolf and watched as she took off in a gallop towards the east.
