Kiba, Luna, Tsume, Toboe, and Sky continue to run through the dust storm in their wolf forms as Hubb drove the truck just behind them.

Nobody spoke; they only ran.

Hubb looked at the locator that was on the dashboard, which had turned to black.

"I hope we're going in the right direction. Paradise is somewhere up ahead, isn't it?" Hubb asked Cheza, who sat in the passenger seat.

"Yes. It is," she breathlessly said.

Hubb glanced over at her and asked, "Are you in any pain?"

Cheza shook her head no. "Its so strange... I'm not sure when, but at some point I started to believe it. In all of it. You, the wolves, and Paradise. I'm finally seeing the world clearly just as it's about to end. A little too late, huh?" Hubb asked.

"It will not end. But simply, begin again. It is so it an be reborn," Cheza replied.

(Blue and Hige)

Blue watched as Quent struggled to face a dream that he was having.

"Poor Pops... it was just a misunderstanding. Wolves didn't do it. Rouse and Mom didn't die because of them, and they weren't the ones to attack Kurios," Blue said, watching over him.

"It was because of Jagara. How ironic," Hige said.

Just then, Quent suddenly started to gasp for air and his eyes rolled to the back of his head.

Blue jumped up in a panic. "What's happening!? Help him!" Blue screamed.

Hige jumped up to the small window that was attached to the cab. "Hey, stop the truck! The old man is dying! HEY!" Hige shouted.

Hubb stopped the truck and he ran to the back, grabbing the wolves' attention.

Hubb opened the door and he crawled on top of Quent. They all run to the back and see what was happening.

"What's wrong!?" Kiba asked. "It could be severe dehydration! Either that or he could be convulsing from internal bleeding!" Hubb shouted as he gave CPR to Quent.

"Is there someting we can do to help?" Luna asked worriedly.

"I don't even know what the hell I'M doing! I'm not certified in CPR!" Hubb shouted desperately.

Cheza sensed what was happening and got out of the truck. She leaned over the dying old man and puts her mouth over his, ceasing his struggle for breath.

She pulls away and Hubb did CPR again, and Quent started to cough.

Blue was relieved to see that her master was okay again, at least for now. Hubb sat back and rubbed his forehead.

"Looks like he's out of the woods for now," he said.

Cheza had given Quent some water from her palms. Kiba came to Cheza's side. "Are you alright, Cheza?" the white wolf asked in concern.

"This one will be fine. This one's just tired," Cheza answered.

"Thanks, Cheza. You've done more than enough," Blue said with a smile.

Luna sat down on the horizontal door with Sky sitting in her lap.

Tsume stayed right next to his small family. "Looks like he'll be alright. He just needs to rest," Toboe said, smiling in relief.

Sky looked up at her mother while her shoulder rested on Luna's shoulder.

"Mom, won't he fall asleep again when he sees us?" the pup asked. Luna looked down at her daughter.

"Yeah, he might, Sky," Luna answered. "He won't be pleased with this whole idea of going to Paradise will drive him crazy," Tsume agreed.

"No, he's changed. He accepts me for what I am now. Luna, you saw him save me a while ago," Blue said.

Luna looked over at Blue for a moment.

"So him trying to kill all of us was just a misundserstanding?" Luna asked.

"It wasn't that. His hatred for wolves was the only thing that kept him going all this time," Hige corrected.

After a while, they all got moving again. Luna, Sky, Toboe resided inside the back of the truck while Tsume and Kiba continued to run.

Hige was asleep in the farthest corner of the truck. Sky slept in her wolf form on her mother's lap.

The rumbling of the truck felt so soothing and it nearly put Luna to sleep as well.

Toboe slowly reached down and tried to touch Quent. Both Luna and Blue looked up at him.

"Toboe? What're you doing?" Luna asked. Sky wakes up in her human form and rubbed her eyes.

"Hmmm?" she moaned as she sat up. "Sky, you should be asleep," Luna said gently, stroking Sky's hair.

"I couldn't, Mom," Sky said. The youngest wolf saw what was happening. Toboe pulled his hand away when he saw the she-wolves looking at him.

"Oh, I was just checking on him. His body feels a lot warmer now," he said, shifting a bit.

Blue smiled a bit along with Luna and Sky. Luna saw that he still cared for this man even though he's tried to kill them many times beforehand.

Luckily, Sky had one encounter with him back in Jagara's city.

She didn't understand this though. "You're right. He won't try to kill us. *Looks at Luna* Luna, do you remember when we had found him in the mountains?" Toboe asked.

"Yeah. I do. That's when I found out I was pregnant with Sky here," Luna said, remembering all of this.

"Mom... stop..." Sky said, cheeks blushing red from embarrassment. Luna rubbed Sky's hair with a grin.

"Yeah. Blue, he held onto me as tight as he could in the snow. He thought it was you," Toboe said with a grin.

"It got me thinking... Blue must meant an awful lot to him. I have to admit, I was jealous," Toboe said gently, looking down.

"Toboe?" Blue said, getting the red wolf to look over at her, "I need you to do a favor for me. If anything happens to me, I want you to look after Pops, okay?"

Toboe's eyes widen in shock. "Don't say stuff like that!" Sky exclaimed.

"Yeah, nothing's gonna happen! We're all going to Paradise together, you hear me?" Toboe said, raising his voice a bit.

"I know," Blue said, looking away. "Are you sick or something?" Sky asked worriedly.

"No, Sky. But I figured that if something did happen, he'd be the only one I can trust to look out for Pops," Blue answered.

"Of course, I could look out for him," he said, looking away for a minute.

"Good, I'm glad," Blue said with a smile. "Why are you saying this?" Toboe asked, raising his brow. "Toboe... thank you," Blue said softly.

The red wolf looked at her again, his eyes softer. "What's wrong, Blue? You're acting so weird," Toboe said.

Luna knew that Blue was in love with Hige. Blue didn't have to say it.

Suddenly, the truck made a loud sputtering sound, and it slowly pulled itself over. The truck had died.

Kiba and Tsume run to the back and they open the truck up.

Tsume picked Sky up and let her ride on his back. Kiba tried to pick up Cheza. "No, Kiba. This one will walk with you," Cheza declined.

Kiba nodded and set her back down. Luna and Toboe grabbed all the stuff in the back of the truck and Quent was being carried on Hubb's back.

The wolves walk on in their wolf forms beside the two humans and flower maiden through the storm.

When the storm died down, they all reside beside the cliff side.

They decided to rest there for right now. Sky and Toboe decided to play together while the adults rested.

Sky tackled the red wolf with her paws and her tail wagged. "I can't wait to get to Paradise!" Sky laughed, wagging her tail.

"I can't either! We're so close, I can see it already," Toboe laughed, tackling Sky so that she was underneath him.

"Guess I'll have to start doing this more," Toboe said, using his paw to tickle Sky.

Sky laughed and tried to wiggle out from underneath him. "Ah, HA HA HA! Stahp!" she giggled.

"Nevah!" he giggled, wagging his tail.

It was obvious that her and Toboe got along real well, much like brother and sister. They both smiled and stopped to take a break from all the child's play.

"Toboe?" Sky asked. Toboe looked at her in surprise. She usually called him Uncle Toboe, so it was new to him.

"Why do you like humans so much?" Sky asked curiously. Toboe looked ahead; he couldn't avoid the question.

"I grew up with an elderly lady back in a city. She died... because of me," Toboe said with a sob. Sky felt tears well up in her eyes.

She didn't think that he was that attached to humans. "I'm sorry..." she said, hugging him. He hugged her back.

After a minute, they broke the hug and went back to the others.

Sky slept under her father's chin in her wolf form, curled up in a ball. Luna rested her head on Sky's back. They slept for a good while until Sky woke up from feeling thirsty.

She got to her paws and walked away from the pack. However... she wouldn't be coming back alive.

She found a huge lake of water and started to drink from it. As she was drinking, her heart stopped when she heard Darcia's voice from behind her.

"You're a long way from your pack, pup," he said. Sky cowered down and slowly looked behind her, dropping her ears in fear.

It was him; Darcia. Sky turned around and bared her fangs. She tried to be brave. Her hackles rose to their fullest point and she dropped her ears.

"I'm not scared of you!" she growled. Darcia wasn't falling for this act. "I can see you shaking, wolf. You should fear me," Darcia chuckled, smiling sinisterly at her.

He then stands in front of her as a purple wolf about 20 times bigger than she was. Sky's eyes widened in horror.

Luna hears a gunshot from the distance. Her motherly instincts instantly kicked in. "Tsume! Wake up!" she said in a panic.

"Hmm? Luna, what's wrong?" Tsume asked, noticing his mate's distress. "Sky's not here! Something happened!" she shouted, starting to hyperventilate.

Tsume instantly got up and they woke the rest of the pack and they rushed to where Sky had gone to.

When they got there... their stomachs turn. Sky laid on the ground with blood oozing out from underneath her. Her back was facing them.

"No... No, no, no! SKY!" Tsume criend in a panic. They run over to their injured daughter.

Luna picked Sky up, who was crying in pain. "Sky, we're here. Stay with us!" Tsume said, seeing that Sky had a gunshot wound to her abdomen.

The wound looked fatal. "Cheza! Please, help her!" Luna cried, tears rising in her eyes. Both parents felt completely helpless. Cheza walked over and knelt down in front of her.

Cheza put a hand on Sky's wounded stomach, but Cheza's eyes widened. She wouldn't be able to heal Sky's wound...

"She feels... so cold... The wound is too deep..." Cheza said. "Mom... Dad... help me... I feel so weird..." Sky sobbed, tears of pain running down her face.

Luna held onto her daughter tightly. "I want to... go to Paradise with you guys..." Sky sobbed, hugging her mother around the neck. "We can! We promise you, we can... We'll be fine... We'll be fi-" Luna sobbed, feeling Sky go limp in her arms.

Sky's arms fell from Luna's shoulders, making her and Tsume freeze. When Luna pulled Sky back, Sky had fallen back, her head dangled backwards.

The pack felt sorrow wash over them when they realized that Sky had died in Luna's arms.

Luna started to sob when she realized this. "No... No... Please, you can't take her... You can't..." she sobbed, holding Sky against her chest. Tsume felt tears fall from his eyes and he held his mate and deceased child in his arms.

"I'm gonna make those bastards pay for this..." he said, unable to hold back a sob. Everyone, including Kiba, had tears in their eyes.

How many could they lose for them to go completely insane?

Luna put Sky down, the pups' blood was on her jacket. The pack sat in their wolf forms. Luna raised her head and let out a mournful howl. Tsume and the rest of the pack followed suit to mourn for the fallen pup.

After a while, they all headed back to where Hubb and Quent were. Luna kept her head dropped down along with her ears. Tsume stayed beside her the entire time.

Hubb could tell that something obviously happened because the youngest of the wolves wasn't with them.

"What happened?" he asked. "Luna and Tsume just lost their daughter," Kiba answered, sitting with Cheza.

Hubb looked up at the two grieving parents. "Oh... Oh God," he said, looking down. He felt tears rising in his eyes.

(Luna and Tsume)

Luna laid down in her wolf form, keeping her ears dropped. She laid her head on Tsume's forelegs. First she loses her whole pack, sees them stuffed, her sister killed in front of her eyes, then her daughter dies in her arms.

Neither of them didn't believe that Sky was even dead. She had to be alive somewhere, somehow.

Then, Luna thought she could hear Sky howling, getting the black she-wolf to raise her head up, perking her ears.

Tsume felt her move and he opened his eyes. "Luna? What is it?" he asked.

"It's Sky. I hear her!" Luna said tearfully, getting up. Tsume listened closely and stood up with her, perking his ears forward.

"Do you hear that? She's still there," Luna asked, her tail starting to wag.

"Yeah, I do," Tsume said. There had to be someway for Sky to be alive. There had to be.

But when they listened more closely, both were angered when they realized that Sky's howls were just in their heads.

They laid back down. Luna laid her head back on Tsume's forelegs.

"Tsume... why did have to happen?" Luna said tearfully.

Both sat in their human forms. "I...I don't know... Sky was too good for this world. Out of all the pups on this godforsaken earth, why did it have to be her?" Tsume replied, tears rising in his eyes.

"Can't believe that she's really gone..." Hige said, feeling tears in his eyes.

"She... She didn't deserve this..." Toboe sobbed, feeling grief take over. But it wasn't as heavy as Tsume and Luna's.

Blue stayed beside Hige, comfortingly licking the tan wolf. "She was a good kid... Definitely had spark in her," she assured.

"Yeah, she did. Just like her parents. I'm gonna miss that little tyke," Hige said with a smile.

Luna felt herself sobbing in grief, and Tsume held her close to him. He had tears running down his face.

"I never got the chance to tell her... about what happened in my past. She always wondered how I got this scar on my chest. I... never told you..." Tsume said sorrowfully.

Luna looked up at him. He was right. Luna never told him or Sky about her past either.

"Now... we'll never get the chance to," Luna sobbed, feeling her heart shatter. Tsume held her close to his chest and nuzzled his nose into her black hair.

He closed his eyes and felt tears run down his cheeks. He didn't hide his pain like he has all this time.

"She was more like you than me," Tsume said. He remembered just how much like Luna Sky really was.

Luna managed to crack a smile. "No... she was more like you. She had that alpha streak. She even had a liking to Toboe," Luna said, pulling away while wiping her tears.

"We'll see her in Paradise, won't we?" Luna asked, now feeling optimistic. "Yeah, we will," Tsume smiled.

"I'm not going to lose you too..." Luna whispered. The two kissed again and laid together in their wolf forms.

If they lost each other... they didn't know how they could go on living. They've already lost their daughter, they couldn't lose each other too.
