Lifeguard/swimmer AU. Younger Jack and Ianto.
Jack hadn't expected to see him so soon after his first day as a life guard. The guy pulled off a black shirt, studded belt, jeans and leather jacket as well as he did swim trunks. He could pull anything off really, starting with Jack's clothes.
"Hey you're the new life guard right?" Ianto asked.
"Yeah. Jack Harkness and you are?"
"Jones. Ianto Jones."
"Pleased to see you again Jones, Ianto Jones. Maybe we can meet again. Dinner? A movie?"
"You mean a date?"
"Yes."
Ianto looked like he was going to say no. Jack wondered if he had misjudged that situation but he had seen the lust in Ianto's eyes. Maybe he had wanted to hook up there and then, Jack couldn't say the feeling wasn't neutral. "Yes. Uh, give me your phone."
Jack took his phone out of his coat pocket and handed it to Ianto. I'm going to like Cardiff, he thought as he watched Ianto enter his number into his phone.
