I love Janto: oops I didn't realise that I hadn't deleted my last reply to you. Andy will be a great help. Jack and Tosh would team up for what?
Prompt: extended universe or alternative universe.
By the time Ianto came back with two coffees in hand Jack was sitting on top of the car. Jack gave a cat that ate the canary grin when he saw him.
"There's nothing like a hot man and a hot coffee to make my evening."
Ianto rolled his eyes though with how dark it was out he didn't know if Jack saw. Jack himself was illuminated by the moonlight and the water's reflection of the city night. They hadn't talked in far too long, it felt like years when it had really been months for Jack and over a year for Ianto. Yet he still took time to collect himself before walking over to Jack.
"You're ruining the varnish," Ianto said when he was right next to Jack. This time he was sure that Jack could see his deadpan expression.
"No I'm not." Jack put his hand out and Ianto automatically handed him one of the coffees. When Jack grabbed the coffee his hand brushed against Ianto's and the sensation knotted up Ianto's stomach.
Jack brought the coffee up to his lips but then brought it back down without having taken a sip. "Did you want to die? If your Doctor could have cured you for all you knew that could have been the end of it."
"I thought I did," Ianto admitted. He cradled his coffee close to him. "Now I'm not too sure. There's still so much for me here."
Jack patted the space next to him. Ianto walked over and sat down.
"Now who's ruining the varnish?" Ianto laughed. Then Jack did. When they finally stopped laughing Jack put his arm around him and Ianto rested his head against Jack's shoulder.
"I'm glad you came back," Jack whispered, his lips touching Ianto's ear.
"Yeah, me too."
