I'm no fool, but I certainly didn't think things through. There lies only one bed, and Index resides in it, while I sleep in the somewhat comfortable bathroom tub. Surely, I should've taken into account Jeanne. Except I didn't. She insisted that since she was a Heroic Spirit, she needed no sleep. But it'd be weird, knowing that she's just standing there in my dorm. Nothing I can quite do about it at the moment though, after all, this Kamijou is broke. Onto the next thing though, how do I explain Jeanne to anyone that walks in here. Index already knows of her existence, and I'm sure that somehow someway Tsuchimikado figured Jeanne out, that is until I realized this Kamijou is not lucky enough to have someone in his dorm anyway. So I sleep as usual, and dread the next morning soon to come.

I've certainly woke with a start. Banged my head on the tub faucet, proceeded to trip over myself somehow and banged my head on the bathroom door, and finally stumbled out only to trip once more, this time over Sphynx, who was chasing down Othinus as usual. Surely I'd have learned to become used to it, I mean I've faced down a phase-breaking spear, literally threw down with a Saint and technically won, lost my arm on several occasions and have gotten my ass handed to me by Tsuchimikado, and another Saint. Unfortunately, I have not. So after a sore awakening, and a quick breakfast for Index, I rush to class, hoping to the nonexistent God above that I make it in time to avoid the Iron Wall's wrath.

One slide into the classroom door resulting in a painful roll later... It's halfway through a class I'm partially paying attention to. The other half of my mind is well, elsewhere, or rather focused on the very quick and strange request from the other day, and so I absentmindedly stare out the window. By the time I'm done thinking, the bell has already rang and I need to head to my next class. Of course, not without the reminder from Komoe sensei, and her words I interpret as: "Kamijou-chan you're an idiot so you're going to be held back~." It's not exactly what she said, but it's what I'm hearing.

After school, which besides this morning, was rather uneventful, I decide to walk around District 7, it's better than sitting at home all day. However, I get this really bad feeling. It's been nothing but normal, this has gotta be a sign of some sort. Damn, I've really been so traumatized by my misfortune that I'm becoming paranoid.

I walk past the demonic vending machine, and take a look at it. Armed this time with two 500 yen coins, I stare it down. Surely, it will at least take my coins. I quickly push the coins in and select my drink and then... Nothing. "DAMNITTTTT! The vending machine has learned to steal COINS too?! In a fit of rage, I punch the vending machine. Big mistake. First, ow. Second, fuckin' run! The machine is very quickly swarmed by security robots. I continue running down the street and I happen to notice a very mysterious lack of people. Damnit. This Kamijou just can't catch a break.

"Oi! I know you're out there kooky magician! If you want to do something to me, at least show yourself!" I yell into the nothingness, maybe there really wasn't anyone, and there was simply just no one here? If that was the case, then I just made a fool of myself. Then there's this deafening noise, like a bass boost, as something crashes on the ground before me, or rather, someone. Clad in a black trench coat with gold traces, the detailed and very very handsome tan face of the man stares at me.

"My name is Dima, pray to the heavens above you won't make me say my magic name, boy. You have two choices, come with me, or face the consequences of not listening." God damn, his voice is smooth too? Unfortunately for him, no matter how good he looks or sounds, he's not convincing me to go anywhere, so in traditional Kamijou fashion, I turn to the special third option. Running. I start booking it, and foolishly thinking I could escape him, he catches up to me in mere seconds, though, something stops him. The Dragon Witch herself stops Dima in his tracks. For about all of five seconds. With another deafening boom, Jeanne is sent skidding away from Dima and he continues to rush me. So I try my best, I form a cross with my arms and block Dima's attack to the best of my capabilities.

Oh, sorry, did I say block?

I meant get my arms shattered. The pain is instant, searing, and more importantly impossible to focus on. It's gone as quick as if arrived, though my arms paid the price. Dima chops my neck and everything fades to black...

When my consciousness resurfaces, I'm looking at the remnants of a battlefield. Craters everywhere, dark energy and golden energy sparking all over the asphalt and the deafening booms of fist against weapon, there's also the building chunks on the ground and all too. Jeanne is going all out, and when she spots me awake, she asks but one question, "Master! Allow me the use of my Noble Phantasm!" I manage a nod and I feel the suffocating mana swirling in the air. Dima strikes Jeanne, or at least he strikes her flag. With a insane grin, Jeanne's flag swells with power before she strikes back, absolutely destroying anything in front of her. The body of Dima is inside of the wreckage of a building, thankfully it was only a small building... Wait, that was one of my favorite convenience stores! Damn. I look towards Jeanne, and her face is adorned with a triumphant smirk, among some scratches and bruises from Dima.

"To think such a human could drive me to use my Noble Phantasm. It's a goddamn miracle, but we should get moving, I highly doubt that attack killed him, after all, if it weren't for my Phantasm he could've actually beaten me senseless, without a significant use of magic besides that ungodly enhancement," Jeanne says this all with the smirk still on her face. We head home, it's been a pretty long afternoon after all or should I say evening?

A/N It's been a while since i updated this, I'm still working on improving my story so once again, the more feedback the better, goodbye fellow Index enjoyers.
