The Elder Scrolls: The Quest For Kingdom Hearts
…
Chapter 3: Down the Rabbit Hole
"Goooooooood evening, Traverse Town! It's your Host with the Most, the Man About Town Mr U.R Luckieday, here with the latest updates!"
"Now, y'all will have heard the commotion going on over in the Third District, right? Well, it turns out it was a small army of Heartless led by a huge suit of Heartless armour! Thankfully, the Heartless were defeated by a group of individuals who my sources have told me were new arrivals to Traverse Town."
"And what's more, details say that one of them, a boy named Sora, is armed with a weapon called the Keyblade! Now this doo-hickey has the power to destroy the Heartless permanently which may explain why the Heartless tried to invade this world of ours."
"Other reports say that now Sora and his new companions are going on to travel to other worlds to try and put an end to the Heartless menace! So, to you, Sora, and your new pals, on behalf the citizenry of Traverse Town and all survivors coming here, I wish you the very best of luck!"
"And now, some music and this one is one of our newest songs brought in by survivors. Baby on Board by the Bee-Sharps!"
Sora and his new friends joined Leon, Yuffie and Aerith in the first district once the clean-up from the battle with the Heartless was done. In a café near the exit of Traverse Town, Leon spoke to them.
"Make sure you're prepared for the journey ahead of you," Leon told them. "We don't know how far the Heartless have spread," he then said with some frustration his voice.
"Why don't you check out some of the shops around here?" Yuffie said helpfully. "They've got some pretty neat stuff!" she added.
"Here, this is from all of us," Aerith then said as she handed over a pouch of Munny. Sora took it and looked inside to see how much there was.
"Whoa! This is like, 500 munny!" The Keyblade's Chosen exclaimed in awe.
Dragonborn then spoke up, "I don't suppose the shops here take Gold Septims?" he asked as he fished out a round gold coin from his satchel.
"Yeah, and I don't think Bottlecaps are a viable currency here," Courier said sheepishly.
"Don't worry, there's a bank that can convert whatever currency you have into local currency," Yuffie said brightly.
"You may also want to take this," Leon said handing over a small bottle of liquid. Serana's red eyes lit up in recognition.
"A potion?" she asked as she took the bottle to examine it.
Leon nodded and said, "An elixir. You can find more around the worlds or buy them from shops here."
"Lucky I have a couple of potions on me," Dragonborn said thoughtfully.
"And I've got plenty of Stimpaks and chems," Courier said as she held up a Stimpak and a needle of Med-X.
Serana looked at Aerith and asked, "There wouldn't happen to be an alchemist's shop would there?"
"There is one here," Aerith replied. "Did you want to brew some potions of your own?" she asked kindly.
"A specific kind of potion, for… medical reasons," Serana said reluctantly.
Courier looked at Serana in an assessing manner and said, "Judging by the sound of it, you need this potion or something like it on a regular basis," she observed. "Is it for chronic pain?" she asked.
"Not quite like that, no," Serana replied reluctantly. "It's more to do with what I am," she said.
"So, what are you then?" Sora asked innocently.
Serana looked at Dragonborn and Aela. Dragonborn gave her a nod of encouragement which made Serana sigh and say, "I'm a vampire."
"Seriously?" Courier said disbelievingly. "As in, fangs, can't go out in direct sunlight and drinking blood?" she added.
"I can withstand the sunlight, so long as I cover myself up appropriately," Serana replied. "But, otherwise yes," she said.
Veronica nodded her head and said, "That would explain your eyes and… teeth."
"Yeah, most people are running by that point," Serana quipped dryly.
"For real? Can I see?" Sora asked excitedly. Serana sighed before lowering her hood and opened her mouth. Sora's eyes widened as he saw the glowing red eyes and the long sharp canine teeth Serana possessed. "Wow! That's so cool!" the Keyblade's Chosen uttered. "How did you become a vampire?" he asked eagerly.
"That… is not a story fit for children," Serana replied firmly. As Sora made to argue, she cut him off with, "Trust me, kid. You don't wanna know how I became a vampire in the first place," she said. Sora sensed great reluctance and shame in Serana, so he chose to drop the subject. But Courier on the other hand?
"Vampire, huh?" she said. "Should I be worried when you start getting thirsty?" she asked pointedly, patting the grip of her revolver with one finger.
Serana frowned at her and replied, "I'm in perfect control of my thirst, thank you very much."
"If you have issue with it, Lady Courier, then take it up with me," Dragonborn said getting in front of Serana almost protectively. Courier looked at him, her face hidden by her Riot helmet before she said, "I ain't got no beef. So long as she doesn't start licking her lips over my neck."
Serana nodded in response to that and Aerith spoke up, "Well, with that said, we hope you find your friends," she said cheerfully.
"Good luck out there!" Yuffie said brightly.
"In my experience, there's no such thing," Sora said with a witty smile. Everyone looked at him and he explained. "It's something my dad used to say." Sora then looked at his new friends and asked, "So, where do we go from here?"
"You'll have to ask this guy," Courier replied as Jiminy appeared on her shoulder.
"Hello there, young man!" Jiminy greeted Sora politely.
"Whoa! A talking cricket?" Sora exclaimed in surprise.
"That's what we thought as well," Aela said.
"Cricket's the name. Jiminy Cricket, at your service!" Jiminy said to Sora with a bow and tip of his hat.
"Hi! My name's Sora," replied the Keyblade's Chosen. "So, Jiminy? Where do we go?" he then asked the cricket.
"That would be the Gummi Ship just outside these gates," Jiminy said. "With it, we can travel to other worlds," he added.
"The what?" Sora asked.
"The ship that brought you here, I would assume," Dragonborn said to Jiminy who nodded and replied, "The very same, good sir! Wait 'til you see it!"
"Yeah, well, first thing's first. We gotta load up on supplies," Courier said. "Sounds like this'll be a long trip. Better get stocked up," she added.
"Agreed. We need to be prepared for what comes our way," Dragonborn said. And that moment, Sora's stomach rumbled loudly for everyone to hear.
"Uhh… can we also get something to eat?" Sora asked in embarrassment. "I just realised I hadn't eaten dinner before I left," he said guiltily.
"A little food would be welcome, I think," Veronica said sagely.
"Alright, maybe there's a bar around here?" Courier wondered out loud.
"Very well. Let us fill our bellies and buy some supplies, after that we leave," Dragonborn said firmly.
"Hey, do you think they have pizza here?" Sora asked as they began to look around for a restaurant to dine in.
"Pizza? What in Oblivion is that?" Aela asked.
"Isn't that some Pre-War food from way back when?" Veronica asked Courier who shrugged.
"You guys have never heard of pizza?!" Sora asked everyone with shock and horror on his face. Everyone shook their heads in response. "Well, you guys are in for a treat!" he declared as he led them into a restaurant.
…
"Mmm! They don't have this back in Skyrim!" Aela stated as she ate her fourth slice of pepperoni pizza, enjoying the taste of it.
"Glad you like it!" Sora said to her before he asked, "So, where is it you guys come from?" He looked at everyone at the table.
"Veronica, ED-E and I come from the Wasteland. The Mojave Wasteland, if you wanna get specific," Courier replied as she drank from a bottle of whiskey. She hadn't offered anyone else a sip of the potent booze, taking the bottle for herself. She had taken her riot helmet off to reveal her features such as her violet eyes, dark hair with a streak of silvery blonde and olive skin.
"Aela, Serana and I come from the Northernmost province of Tamriel, Skyrim," Dragonborn said to Sora as he chewed on a slice of pizza. He had taken his helmet off revealing his pale handsome features. An odd look had come over Courier's face when she saw Dragonborn's features of purple-blue eyes, silver-blonde hair, and pale skin, but she chose not to comment. Aela and Serana each had little smiles on their faces as Dragonborn took off his helmet.
"So, what are your worlds like?" Sora asked as he took a sip of his soda.
"The Wasteland? Heh, well, a couple of hundred years ago, some asshole thought it would be a good idea to launch a nuclear missile strike all across what would then be forever known as the Wasteland," Courier said with a bitter laugh. "More often than not, people will kill you for so much as saying hello to them or try and screw you over and take advantage of any kindness you offer them," she added. Sora had a slightly disturbed look on his face, and he looked at Dragonborn hopefully.
"Skyrim is a cold frigid place. Filled with snowy mountains and peaks and dense tundra," Dragonborn said. "It's a harsh land and full of dangers, but it was home," he added.
Deciding to change the subject, Aela spoke. "So, Sora, you said you were looking for your friends, yes? Can you tell us what they look like so that we may recognise them?" she asked.
"Well, first is Riku. He's a little taller and older than me with long silver hair and he's really competitive! One of the best fighters on the Islands!" Sora said. "Then there's Kairi," he added.
"What does Kairi look like?" Veronica asked.
"Well, she's got beautiful dark red hair, violet-blue eyes and she wears a white top with a black one underneath and purple shorts under a purple skirt with a blue belt. White slip-on shoes with purple toes and she also wears a black choker with a silver necklace with a pendant around her neck," Sora said looking a little dreamy as he said those things.
"Sounds like someone has a crush," Serana said in amusement. A few chuckles rippled among the group and Sora blanched.
"Huh?!"
"Sora, do you like Kairi?" Veronica asked teasingly and a smirk on her lips. Sora's blushed told the ex-scribe everything as he stuttered out a reply.
"Wh-What?! No! She's… uhh… she's my girlfrie- BEST FRIEND! She is my best friend! And Riku's too!" the Keyblade's chosen babbled out.
"Your cheeks don't lie, kid," Courier said with a smirk. Sora hung his head in embarrassment which furthered the chuckles at the table.
Dragonborn ate his last slice of pizza before wiping his mouth with the back of his hand and said, "Well, now that we've eaten our fill, let us buy some supplies for the journey." He the lifted his helmet back onto his head, obscuring his face.
"Yeah, I've got a feeling I'll need some more ammo," Courier said she finished off the last of her whiskey.
"Sora, this is for you," Serana suddenly said to Sora handing over a book to Sora. Sora looked at the cover of the tome; from one angle it looked to be a fireball, but from another it almost looked like a hand.
"What is this?" Sora asked Serana who replied, "It's a spelltome. It's a basic Destruction School spell called Firebolt. Give it a read," she encouraged.
"Okay then," Sora said as he opened the book and almost immediately magic flew up into the air before being absorbed into Sora who gave a grunt and nearly fell to the floor.
"You okay, kid?" Veronica asked Sora as she helped him stand to his feet.
"Yeah, I feel… fine. More than fine!" Sora exclaimed as he felt some kind of power humming inside him. Looking at Serana, the Keyblade's Chosen, "So I can use magic now?" he asked.
"Yeah, you should be able to," Serana replied. "I can help you hone your magical talent as we go. Think of me as your tutor," she said with a smile.
"Thanks!" Sora said, excited at the thought of being to use magic now.
"C'mon, let's get going!" Courier said. "We've got a long way to go!" she reminded them.
…
After buying some supplies for the journey, the group prepared to leave Traverse Town when they were stopped by Leon, Yuffie and Aerith.
"Hey, do you guys have a minute?" Aerith asked.
Sora nodded, "Sure, what's up?" he asked.
"There are these Dalmatians living in the Second District, Pongo and Perdita," Leon began to say and Sora's eyes widened in recognition and he interrupted.
"I've met them before!"
"You have?" Serana asked looking at Sora. Sora nodded and said, "Yeah, they lost their puppies when they came here."
"Squall can't stop worrying about them," Yuffie said with a grin and Leon gave a tired sigh.
"Call me Leon…"
"Sora, would you look for those puppies? We believe they're out there somewhere," Aerith said.
"Sure, no problem!" Sora replied with a smile.
"If we find them, we'll bring them back here," Dragonborn said formally.
Jiminy spoke. "I'll keep track of any lost puppies we find," he said.
"Thanks! Squa-I mean, Leon is really too cute sometimes," Yuffie said with a giggle at Leon who glared at her half-heartedly.
"So, are we all set?" Sora asked.
"It would seem so," Aela replied as they opened the gates to Traverse Town and saw the Gummi Ship for the first time.
"Whoa!" Sora exclaimed as he saw the Gummi Ship in front of him.
"It looks nice," Veronica said. "Much better than a Vertibird," she added.
"Curious, when I heard the word ship, I thought a sailing ship," Dragonborn remarked.
"So, anyone here know how to operate this thing?" Serana asked everyone.
"I can," Sora and Courier said at once. Sora and Courier looked at each other. Veronica looked at Courier in surprise.
"You know how to fly a ship?" the ex-Scribe asked in surprise.
"Well, at the Nellis Airforce Base, I convinced the Boomers there to let try the Flight-Simulators, plus an acquaintance I met in Novac gave me a few pointers," Courier said and she looked at Sora and asked, "How do you know how to fly?"
"My dad was a pilot," Sora said. "He taught me everything I know. And I would've flown to other worlds if my dad hadn't taken the only ship we had when he left," he added.
"And how long has it been since you saw your father?" Courier asked pointedly.
"Ummm… since I was six years old," Sora admitted.
"Then I'm flying," Courier said in a voice that brokered no argument and Sora frowned unhappily. Veronica nudged him comfortingly and said, "Don't worry, you can fly us another time. I'll talk to her for you."
"Thanks, Veronica," Sora replied with a smile. Everyone boarded the Gummi Ship and took a look around. There were around three bedrooms, each with two beds in them, so there was enough space for everyone to get some sleep. There was also some workbenches and chemistry station for those who had need of them. There was also a small kitchen galley and dining room for eating. Once everyone was satisfied with the ship, they took their seats. Courier then flipped the switches and started the engines. Building up the acceleration, Courier then hit the launch sequence and the Gummi Ship blasted off into space. Leaving Traverse Town, Courier slowed the engines to cruising speed before speaking to Jiminy.
"Okay, Jiminy, talk to me. What worlds are nearby?" she asked the cricket who said, "Press that button there. It'll show us a map of nearby worlds."
Pressing the button, a holographic map was displayed on the front screen. ED-E buzzed and chirped to which Courier translated for everyone, "There appears to be a couple worlds nearby," she said.
"So, what's the plan?" Sora asked everyone.
"We start searching each world for King Mickey who supposedly has a better understanding of what's going on, and we also need to find Ansem's notes which could tell us more about the Heartless and how to stop them, and we destroy any Heartless we find," Dragonborn said.
"That's it? Should be a piece of cake!" Sora said with a grin.
"It's not that easy!" Jiminy said. "There's something you should all know about!" he added.
"What is that?" Aela asked.
"Every world is separate, unaware of any other worlds. They think their world is all there is. And for the safety of those worlds, we've got to let them keep on thinking that!" Jiminy said.
"That would make sense," Serana said nodding her head. "I mean, how would any of us take it if we were told about other worlds?" she added.
"And who would take advantage of other worlds?" Dragonborn put in.
"Exactly!" Jiminy said. "We've got to keep the World Order!" he added.
"Then we'll keep our traps shut," Courier said. "Anything else?" she asked
Jiminy shook his head and said, "Nope. That about sums it up. Just be careful what you say down there."
…
Soon they arrived at one of the nearby worlds and disembarked the Gummi Ship. Almost immediately, they fell down a large hole. But to be more accurate, they weren't exactly falling, but rather, they were floating gently down to the bottom. Clocks, tables, fireplaces floated all around them. Even a piano came near the group. Veronica then commented, "Is it just me or does anyone feel like they've taken one too many chems?"
"Compared to the crap White Bird gave me in Zion, this is pretty tame," Courier said. "But it is right up there," she added.
"If I wasn't so certain, I'd say this world belonged to Sheograth," Dragonborn put in.
Sora was floating on his back, his arms behind his head, the very picture of relaxation. "You guys worry too much. Just enjoy the ride!" he said. Soon everyone reached the bottom, their feet touching the floor softly, but Sora fell on his back with a thump.
"Ooof!"
"You okay there, newblood?" Aela asked the Key bearer.
"I'll live," Sora replied as he stood to his feet and dusted himself.
"Keep your eyes peeled, kid," Courier then said to him. "This isn't a game!" she added
"I can keep my eyes peeled! Like I see a rabbit with a pocket watch and waistcoat there!" Sora retorted.
"This isn't the time for jokes either!" Courier spat.
"Uhh… Sora isn't joking, Courier," Veronica said in surprise and she pointed to a white rabbit wearing a waistcoat and carrying a large pocket watch in its paws. The rabbit was panting as it scurried along the floor down the passage. "Oh, my fur and whiskers, I'm late, I'm late, I'm late!" it said. "Oh dear, oh dear, oh dear! I'm here! I should be there!" it added frantically.
"You were saying something about Sheograth?" Aela asked Dragonborn who shrugged in confusion. The rabbit disappeared around a corner squeaking, "I'm late, I'm late, I'm late! The Queen! She'll have my head for sure!"
"The queen?" Sora asked looking at everyone.
"A good placed to start as any," Dragonborn stated.
"Yeah, I reckon if we see the head honcho of this place, we might get a better understanding of what's going on," Courier said. "But from the sounds of it, she doesn't sound all that friendly," she added.
"What makes you say that?" Sora asked.
"Didn't you hear what the rabbit said about losing his head?" Courier said and Sora nodded his head in understanding. Then everyone began to follow the passage the rabbit had gone down and soon they came to a large wooden door that they could only assume the rabbit went through.
Sora then opened the door, only to find another door behind it except slightly smaller. "Huh?!" Sora uttered and he opened the smaller door to find another smaller door. "What?!" Sora exclaimed as he opened each door, each getting smaller and smaller. Finally, the last door revealed the passageway.
"Finally! I was gonna use some C4 to blast them apart!" Courier muttered before saying, "Looks like we have to crawl though," she muttered as everyone got on their hands and knees and crawled through the passage. Then suddenly they were in a bizarre room and they saw the rabbit scurrying across the tiled floor and entering another door at the end of the room, except he was several times smaller than before.
"Uhhh… am I crazy? Or did that rabbit get much smaller?" Veronica asked everyone. ED-E buzzed and chirped and Veronica said, "Well, how did he get so small then?" to which the Eye-Bot beeped uncertainly in response.
Dragonborn walked over to the door and examined it. "How did he get so small?" he wondered out.
"No, you're simply too big," said a voice and everyone gave a startled jump in response as they saw the doorknob of the door the rabbit had gone through was much like a face with the knob for a nose and the keyhole for a mouth.
"By the Hunting Grounds! It talks!" Aela swore.
The Doorknob gave a tired yawn and said, "Must you be so loud?" it asked. "You woke me up!" it complained.
"Uhhh… good morning?" Serana said hesitantly.
"Good night! I need to get some more sleep," said the Doorknob with a yawn.
"Wait! What do we to grow small?" Sora asked quickly.
"Why don't you try the bottle?" replied the Doorknob. "Over there," he then said, and everyone looked behind them to see a table rise from the floor in a puff of smoke and atop the table were two small bottles, each with a different label.
Veronica picked up the bottle and looked at it before saying, "Well, here goes." She prepared to drink from it when Courier stopped her.
"Wait! It could be poisonous!" Courier shouted.
"It's fine, the Doorknob said the rabbit used it," Veronica said.
"And you believe it? A talking doorknob? Just like that?" Courier asked.
"Well, have you got any bright ideas?" Veronica shot back as she set the bottle back on the table.
"We should run some tests on it, just to be safe," Courier said.
"We may not have time to run any tests," Dragonborn said. "Every second we delay, the Heartless grow in number," he added.
"So, what do you suggest then?" Courier asked him. Sora picked up the bottle and looked at it curiously.
"We could ask the Doorknob some questions," Serana suggested. "I know a couple of spells that help make him more forthcoming," she said.
Courier sighed before saying, "Fine, but if the Doorknob ain't telling the truth, I'm gonna… Sora just drank the bottle, didn't he?" she asked in a deadpan.
Indeed, Sora had drunk from the bottle and set it down on the table. Everyone watched him apprehensively before he spoke. "Tastes kinda funny," he said nonplussed.
"Really? Let me try," Veronica said as she took up the bottle and before anyone could stop, she took a sip from it and smacked her lips. "Huh… it does taste kinda funny. Like maybe it's been mixed with something," she mused. "Cherry tart?" she wondered out loud.
"And custard?" Sora asked.
Veronica nodded and said, "And pineapple?"
"Maybe roast turkey?" Sora added.
As the two spoke, they began to shrink in size and Veronica's hands were becoming smaller until the bottle became too big for her to hold. "Whoa!" the ex-Scribe yelped as she nearly dropped the bottle onto the floor. Luckily Aela took the bottle from Veronica's shrinking hands and set it on the table. Then finally when Sora and Veronica were only a couple inches big, they looked up at everyone.
"This proof enough for ya?!" Veronica yelled up at Courier.
"Guess the doorknob was telling the truth," Serana commented as she took a sip from the bottle, as did Aela and they shrank down to Sora and Veronica's stature. Courier looked at ED-E who buzzed uncertainly.
"Worth a try," Courier said as she poured a tiny amount onto the eye-bot who shrank in size as well, before she took a sip of the bottle too. Once Courier was down to size she looked at the Doorknob and tried to wake it.
"Hello? Are you awake?" Sora asked the Doorknob who simply snored in response.
"Yeah, he's not gonna wake up anytime soon," Serana muttered.
"Any idea how we can get outta this room?" Sora asked.
"ED-E? Gimme a scan of this room. Find anything that leads us out of this place," Courier said to ED-E who buzzed and chirped, scanning the room before settling on the bed and whistled excitedly.
"How are we gonna move that thing?" Courier asked ED-E.
"That's where I come in," Dragonborn said as he pushed the bed and flattened into the wall and revealed a passageway. Dragonborn nodded in satisfaction before drinking from the bottle and shrunk down as well.
"How did ED-E know that passage was there?" Sora asked Courier who said, "I guess there's nothing normal about this world and ED-E figured that too."
"Let's go, time's a wasting," Dragonborn said as they set off down the passage.
…
Exiting the passage, the group came into a hedge garden where soldiers that looked like playing cards stood guard. Roses lined the hedges, some were red and others were white. There were some podiums in the garden and everyone saw a young girl with blonde and wearing a blue pinafore dress stood at the podium in front of a large bench where an ugly looking woman with a small golden crown on her head sat.
"What's going on?" Sora asked.
"A trial of some kind," Dragonborn said, his voice tightening a little.
"Trial? What for?" Veronica said. "She's just a little girl!" she added.
Courier's hands tightened into fists and shook slightly. Then the White Rabbit entered the garden and skittered up to stand on a podium, panting for a moment before blowing a fanfare on a trumpet and announced, "Court is now in session!"
The girl at the defendant's table exclaimed, "I'm on trial?! But why?!" she asked. She received no answer to her question as the White Rabbit proclaimed, "Her Majesty, the Queen of Hearts presiding!"
The Queen frowned darkly before speaking. "This girl is the culprit. There is no doubt about it. And the reason is…" she said before slamming her hands on the bench and shouted, "…Because I say so! That's why!"
"That is so unfair!" cried the defendant and the Queen slammed her fan like a judge's gavel and said, "Well? Have you anything to say in your defence?" she demanded.
"Of course! I've done absolutely nothing wrong!" cried the girl, folding her arms over her chest as the White Rabbit gasped. "You may be queen, but that doesn't give you the right to be… so mean!" the girl said.
The Queen growled in anger before slamming her fists down onto the table. "Silence! You dare defy?!" she bellowed.
"Hey, guy? We should help her out," Sora said to the group.
"Agreed. This is trial is a farce!" Aela said angrily.
"But what about what Jiminy said?" Veronica asked.
"You'd condemn an innocent girl to death?" Dragonborn asked pointedly. "Besides, some rules are made to be broken," he said firmly as he prepared to stride forward.
The Queen then exclaimed, "The court find the defendant… guilty as charged! For the crimes of assault and attempted theft of my heart…" The group's eye widened in alarm; the Heartless were already here and an innocent girl was being punished for it. "…The punishment is… off with her head!" the Queen screamed.
The soldiers prepared to grab the young girl who pleaded, "No! Please!"
"Hold it right there!" Sora shouted as he and his friends stepped forward.
"Who are you?! How dare you interfere in my court!" the Queen screeched.
"We know who the real culprit is," Serana said to her.
"Yeah, it's the Heart…." Veronica tried to say when Courier silenced her with a mouth over her hand.
"Anyway, she's not the one you're looking for!" Sora said.
"That's nonsense!" the Queen smirked smugly. "Have you any proof?" she asked condescendingly.
"Ummm…." Sora hemmed and hawed.
"If we find you proof of the real culprit, will you let the girl go?" Dragonborn offered. The Queen nodded before giving orders to her guards. Without another word, the guards locked the girl in a cage and the Queen said to the group of heroes.
"Bring me evidence of Alice's innocence! Fail, and it's off with your heads! Gather as much or as little evidence as you please. Report back here when you're done!"
"We'll get it!" Aela said with a flash of anger in her amber eyes. Sora looked to the girl in the cage and she spoke to them.
"Who are you?" she asked them.
"I'm Sora, and these are my friends, Dragonborn, Aela, Serana, Veronica, Courier and ED-E," Sora replied. "What's your name?" he asked the girl.
"Pleased to meet you, I'm Alice, thought I do wish it were under better circumstances," Alice said with a smile.
"Do you remember how you got here?" Courier asked Alice who frowned and replied, "Curious, I can't quite remember. I found this mysterious rabbit hole, you see. When I tried to peek inside, I fell in then I found myself here," she explained.
"So you're from another world?" Sora exclaimed.
"She must be," Veronica said. "She looks as out of place as we do," she added. Alice looked at them all, "What do you mean another world?" she asked them.
"Enough! The defendant will be silent!" growled one of the guards. Dragonborn simply stared at the guard who swallowed nervously.
Looking back at Alice, Dragonborn said to her, "Don't worry, young Alice. We shall prove your innocence of this. I swear it."
Alice nodded in thanks as they left the garden and into the forest to begin their search for evidence of Alice's innocence.
…
"The nerve of that woman!" Aela snarled like an angry wolf. "She calls herself a queen?! What kind of queen would accuse an innocent girl of something she didn't dot?!" she growled.
"Aela." The redheaded werewolf looked at Dragonborn a much calmer look on her face as she gazed at him. "We'll prove Alice innocent of this. You're letting your anger control you," the armoured warrior said to her. Aela sighed and nodded in response.
"Yeah, somehow I don't think that'll work," Courier said dryly. "I know the Queen's type; she always believes she's right, no matter what anyone does or if she's proven wrong, and she'll do anything to keep it that way," she added.
"So, what do we do?" Sora asked.
"We'll cross that bridge when we get to it," Courier said. "For now, we need to make a start on finding evidence that Alice is innocent and the Heartless are involved," she stated.
Then bouncing out of thin air was a cat's grinning face. The sight startled everyone as it bounced in and out view, until it was resting a large tree stump. Then a cat's headless body appeared, standing on top of the cat's head comically. The cat's body was lined with purple stripes as it stepped off its head and placed the head back onto its body, grinning incessantly.
"What in the name of Akatosh are you?" Dragonborn asked, his hand straying to his sword.
The cat grinned widely at this and replied, "Who indeed? Poor Alice. Soon to lose her head and she's not guilty of a thing!"
"I'm guessing you know who tried to steal the queen's heart then, huh?" Courier said as her hand gripped Lucky.
"The Cheshire Cat has all the answers, but doesn't always tell," the cat said teasingly. "The answer, the culprit, the cat, all lie in darkness," he added as he faded of existence.
"Hey! Wait!" Sora shouted but then the Cheshire Cat's voiced echoed throughout the forest.
"They've already left the forest. I won't tell which exit. There are four piece of evidence in total. Three are a cinch to find. The fourth is tricky. Big reward if you find them all."
"What do you guys think? Should we trust him?" Veronica asked the group. Before anyone could answer, the Cheshire Cat appeared again and spoke.
"To trust or not to trust? I trust you'll decide," He grinned and disappeared as Heartless appeared, some of them familiar, but others were new to the group.
"Shit!" Courier cursed as she drew her revolver and fired from her hip, her left hand fanning the hammer. Six of the Heartless were destroyed nearly all at once. Courier then began to reload Lucky as the others moved to defend.
Dragonborn grunted as one of the Heartless, a small floating one wearing little red robes and a wizard's hat blasted him with a fireball. "The Heartless have magic!" Dragonborn stated as he swung his sword and destroyed the Heartless.
"So do we!" Serana said as she fired an ice spike at the Heartless magic users and destroyed them. Aela fired arrows from her bow and Sora slashed at the Heartless and Veronica fired her pistol at them.
Soon, once the Heartless were defeated, they regrouped. "So, what do we do now?" Sora asked.
"If the Cheshire Cat is telling the truth, there are pieces of evidence we need to clear Alice's name," Dragonborn replied. "We should split into groups of four and search for the evidence," he said. "I'll go after the trickiest one," he added.
"Are you sure about that, Dragonborn?" Aela asked him. Dragonborn looked at her, his face hidden by his helm and Aela seemingly understanding nodded her head and said, "Of course. Why did I even ask?" An amused smile was on the redhead's lips.
"So, who goes with who?" Veronica asked.
Courier spoke up, "I think ED-E can help Dragonborn go after the trickiest one. He can find things more quickly with his scanners," she said and ED-E buzzed and chirped in confirmation. "Just be careful when you take ED-E, alright?" Courier asked Dragonborn. "That robot has been through a lot with me," she added.
"I shall do my utmost to make ED-E comes back safe and sound," Dragonborn replied formally, placing his fist over his heart in what appeared to be a solemn vow.
"I'll go with Sora," Veronica said as she stood beside the Keyblade wielder. "You ready for it, kid?" she asked him with a cheeky smile on her face.
"You bet!" Sora exclaimed eagerly.
"Guess that leaves three of us then?" Serana quipped as she looked at Aela and Courier.
"You two can stick together," Courier replied. "I'll do better on my own," she said stoically.
"If that's what you want to do," Aela remarked dryly as they all went off in separate directions.
Courier managed to find some Heartless footprints after fighting her way through some Heartless including some magic using ones and the forest rang with the sound of .45-70 rounds booming, scaring some birds away. Sora and Veronica climbed to the treetops and found the stench of the Heartless in a hole in the tree; they also found some of Pongo and Perdita's puppies in a chest who licked them excitedly. "Okay, little guys, once we get back to the others we'll take you to the Gummi Ship," Veronica said as she cuddled one of the puppies.
Aela and Serana fought their way through the Heartless and found a Heartless antenna and they grinned at each other, pleased to have found evidence of Alice's innocence.
Dragonborn and ED-E travelled deep into the forest along the lilypads. ED-E then beeped and chirped at Dragonborn before floating up to a far corner where there appeared to be a passage. Dragonborn quickly climbed his way up and entered the passage. He and ED-E landed in the Bizarre Room out of a faucet that was sticking out of the wall. Balancing carefully, Dragonborn surveyed his surroundings and saw a small box on a ledge across a gap between him. Grunting to himself, Dragonborn took in a breathe.
"WULD NAH KEST!"
In an instant, Dragonborn crossed the gap and opened the box to find claw marks made by the Heartless. Pocketing the evidence, Dragonborn made his way to the forest back the way he came with ED-E buzzing and humming in satisfaction. Making his way back to the forest entrance, Dragonborn soon met the others.
"Found your evidence?" he asked them.
"Yeah, but it wasn't easy," Courier replied as she reloaded Medicine Stick. "I'm running a little on ammo for Medicine Stick," she said grimly.
"You've got your other guns, right?" Veronica asked her.
"I do, but I do like my Medicine Stick," Courier said with some dry humour. "You find your evidence?" she then asked Veronica and Sora.
"Yeah, and that's not all," Sora replied as he showed the chest of Dalmatian puppies. "We found some of the puppies!" he said cheerfully and the puppies all yipped and barked happily.
"They're cute, I've never seen such a breed before," Aela said as she gave one puppy a rub on the belly and said puppy gave a happy woof as its belly was rubbed.
"Yeah, but I get the feeling there are more out there," Sora said thoughtfully.
"How many puppies can two dogs have?" Serana deadpanned.
Then the Cheshire cat appeared. "Well, look what you've found. Nice going," it complimented the heroes.
"Now we can save Alice!" Sora said proudly.
"Don't be so sure! Alice may be innocent, but what about you?" the Cheshire Cat said cryptically.
"What does that mean, you stripy furball?" Courier asked and the Cheshire Cat shook its head and said, "I won't tell, but I'll give you something."
A sudden enveloped Sora in a ray of blue light. "What was that?" Dragonborn asked cautiously.
"I think it was a new spell," Sora said after a moment of thought. Dragonborn hummed before saying, "I'll take the puppies back to the Gummi Ship and I'll meet you all in the Hedge Garden," he said. "Then we'll get Alice off this world," he added.
"But Jiminy said…" Sora tried to say when Dragonborn cut him off with, "She's not from this world, and she'll safer with us," he said.
"Okay, we'll meet you there," Serana said to him. "Be careful, won't you?" she asked Dragonborn who nodded in reply before taking the puppies and headed off to the Gummi Ship.
…
After dropping the puppies off at the Gummi Ship, Dragonborn raced back to the Hedge Garden where he found the others waiting for him. "Sorry, it took me so long," he said apologetically. "I ran into the Heartless on the way," he explained.
"So long as you're alright," Aela said with a soft smile given to Dragonborn.
Sora then walked up to the lead guard who asked, "Are you ready to present your evidence?"
"Yes, we are," Sora replied boldly.
"Very well, council. Step up to the podium," the soldier ordered.
Standing at the defendant's table was Sora, while Dragonborn and the others stood in a separate box and Alice watched fearfully from her cage. The Queen looked at Sora and spoke, "Now, show me what you have found," she commanded.
Sora presented the four pieces of evidence in their boxes. The Queen snorted and said, "Well, that's certainly a lot of evidence, but I'm still not impressed. Cards! Bring forth my evidence!" she ordered.
Then one box was presented and all the boxes were shuffled around to Sora and his friends' confusion. The Queen then said, "Hmph, checking all four would be a waste of time! Pick one box and I'll decide who is guilty based on that!"
"What?! After all the trouble collecting it?!" Sora asked in shock and anger. Aela growled angrily and made to leave the box when Dragonborn stopped her. "Not yet," he whispered hoarsely.
"You dare object?! Then you will lose your head!" The Queen roared. "Now choose! One box!" she shouted.
Courier who had been watching the boxes shuffled and nodded to herself and she whispered to Sora. "Pick any except the box in the middle," she suggested.
"Are you sure?" Sora asked and Courier nodded. Deciding to trust Courier's judgement, Sora chose one of the boxes except the one in the middle.
"Are you sure?" the Queen asked him pointedly. "No second chances!" she warned.
"I'm sure!" Sora replied.
"Now we shall see who the real culprit is!" the Queen said pompously.
The box was opened and appearing was a Soldier Heartless which clattered and clanked before disappearing. The Queen gaped in shock. "What in the world was that?!" she demanded in confusion.
"There's your proof! Alice is innocent!" Sora declared proudly and Alice gave a cheer. The Queen went red in the face before bellowing.
"SILENCE! I AM THE LAW HERE! ARTICLE 29: ANYONE WHO DEFIES THE QUEEN IS GUILTY!" she howled.
"You're insane!" Serana exclaimed.
"SIEZE THEM AT ONCE!" the Queen ordered her guards. Aela looked at Dragonborn and asked, "Now?"
"Now," Dragonborn confirmed before drawing his sword and cut down a Card soldier. Aela clobbered a Card soldier with a fist. Veronica punched a Card with Paladin Toaster.
"What's the plan?!" Sora yelled as he blocked an axe from a Card soldier.
"Search & Rescue! The Hard Way!" Courier replied as she switched to her Holorifle and the podiums and stands disappeared. A tower with a crank and gear system appeared and one of the guards pulled on a lever and Alice's cage was covered and lifted high into the air.
"Cards! If they touch the tower, you lose your heads!" the Queen shouted at her men.
"Thanks for the advice," Dragonborn said dryly and the Queen's eyes widened as she realised her Freudian slip and her soldiers leapt into action.
The heroes fought their way through the Card soldiers that tried to block them from getting to the crank. Dragonborn disarmed the soldiers with flicks of his sword before punching them in their faces with his free hand. Courier fired blasts from her Holorifle, making the Cards leap out of the way. Aela went bareknuckle against the guards, venting the rage of the Wolf inside her out on the guards. Serana blasted bolts of lightning at the Card soldiers and Sora was simply too skilled for the Cards to defeat.
"Get them you fools! Quit joking around!" the Queen screamed at her men.
"Hey!" a voice shouted and the Queen looked to see Veronica leaping towards her. "Shut up!" the ex-Scribe said as her power fist collided with the Queen's face and there was an explosion of electricity and high volts coursed through the Queen's body and she fell back exposing her heart-patterned bloomers. The Card soldiers froze in shock, fearing for their queen.
"Nice hit!" Sora cheered Veronica who gave a thumbs-up in response.
Courier took this moment to place a Demon Charge onto the tower and she shouted, "Fire in the hole!"
With a resounding explosion, the tower was destroyed and Alice's cage dropped to the ground. Aela ran towards to it. "It's alright, Alice. You're going to be…" Aela said as she opened the covers and Alice wasn't there. "She's gone!" the redhead shouted and her eyes went wide with surprise.
"She must've been taken while we were fighting," Dragonborn said coming to the logical conclusion. The Queen had recovered by this time, although she looked a little cooked as she shouted, "You fools! Find the one behind this! I don't care how! Do it or it's off with your…" Suddenly Serana cast a spell and the Queen was wrapped in a nimbus of energy and she screamed in agony.
"What your experiencing right now is a spell called the Agony Coil," Serana said to the Queen coldly. "Direct neural stimulation of pain receptors, all of them!" she added. "Imagine the worst pain you've ever felt multiplied by a thousand! Now imagine it continuing for as long as I want!" she declared. The Queen howled in pure agony, her eyes streaming tears as the energy coursed through her.
"Now then. The truth: was Alice or any of us guilty of attempting to steal your heart?" Serana asked the Queen coldly who wailed out, "Noooooooo!"
The queen's answer shocked the Card soldiers and Serana continued her questioning. "Were any of you trials fair in any way?" she asked.
The Queen squealed in pain and said, "N-N-N-No!"
"So when you saw your evidence was it enough to free Alice?" Serana demanded.
"Y-Yesssssss!" the Queen sobbed out.
"Why then?! Why kill those who didn't agree with you?! Who was innocent?!" Serana spat angrily.
"because I'm the Queen!" the Queen said through tears of pain. "All ways are my ways in Wonderland! Anyone who says otherwise loses their heads!" she declared.
"Do even care about your people?!" Serana demanded and the Queen said, "Nnnnnoooooooo!" her subjects were stunned by this admission.
Serana bared her teeth before releasing the spell and the Queen fell to the ground choking and sobbing in pain. Serana then looked at the Queen's subjects and said to them, "This is your queen, a woman who has no care for any of you and has killed the innocent! Will you still follow her?"
The queen's subjects looked at their ruler who glared at them. "If you don't obey, it's off with your heads!" she spat. The queen's subjects looked at each before turning around and left the garden. The queen stared dumbfounded. "Hey! Get back here! Get back here and defend your queen!" she screamed. Looking at Serana, the Queen said, "You! You turned them against me!" she shrieked as she tried to attack Serana who grabbed her by the throat.
"I should kill you! Drain you dry and leave you a husk for all those you murdered!" Serana spat as her teeth elongated and she prepared to savour a meal of fresh blood. The Queen sobbed in terror as those sharp teeth inched towards her fat unprotected neck.
"Serana. Don't," Dragonborn said to the Pure-blood Vampire who glared at him angrily.
"Why not? She deserves to die!" Serana spat angrily.
"Perhaps so, but it won't undo what's she done," Dragonborn told her. "The truth was revealed to her subjects. She's now a queen without a kingdom. That is punishment enough," he said.
Serana hissed in conflicted anger when Sora spoke, "Serana? My dad used to tell me stories about my grandfather. All the things he did… that may be worse than what she did," he said looking at the Queen with some disgust. "When my dad confronted him, he refused to fight him until he threatened the people he loved. After my grandfather was defeated and my father was left with the choice to kill him, he realised that if he did, he'd be no better than he was, and he'd destroy any remaining goodness in his heart. So my father spared him and brought peace to them both. The Queen is beaten, she's not worth you killing."
Serana breathed softly before she looked at the Queen of Hearts and said to her in a deadly whisper, "Hmph, you're not worth my time killing. I'm nothing like you!" she hissed before dropping the Queen and said, "Let's go find Alice." Serana then walked away from the Queen of Hearts who picked a Card soldier's axe and prepared to swing at Serana when Dragonborn swung his fist and knocked the Queen of Hearts out cold.
Serana looked and said, "I could hear her coming, you know?"
Dragonborn shrugged and said, "I wanted to do that since I saw her in the first place." Serana gave a slight smirk and nodded at him. Looking at Sora, Serana said to him, "Thank you, Sora. Your father sounds like a wise and good man."
"You're welcome," Sora replied with a smile as they left for the Forest.
…
"So, any ideas where Alice might have gone?" Veronica asked everyone.
"No, but I bet that stripy furball knows," Courier said. "He knows more than he lets on," she added.
And right on cue, one of the flowers sneezed up a rock into the pond before it floated up to the surface and standing on top was the Cheshire Cat grinning incessantly.
"Have you seen Alice?" Aela asked the Cheshire Cat who grinned and replied, "Alice, no. Shadows, yes!"
"Where did they go?" Dragonborn asked calmly.
"This way? That way? Does it matter? Let, right, up, down! All mixed up thanks to the Shadows!" said the Cat. "Step deeper into the forest to the deserted garden. You might find the shadows in the upside-down room," it added before disappearing.
"Upside-down room?" Sora echoed in confusion. "What does that mean?" he asked.
"I think I have an idea what the cat means," Dragonborn said thoughtfully. "When I was searching for my piece of evidence, I noticed there was another room on the ceiling of the bizarre room," he explained.
"Well, how do we get there then?" Courier asked.
"We do as the cat says," Dragonborn replied as they began to make their way deeper into the forest. Travelling deeper into the woods and they soon came to the desert garden where it looked like a tea party was set up, complete with a long table, a variety of chairs along with dinnerware and teapots lined on the table. At the far end of the table, a painting of a Mad Hatter and a March Hare hung, their expressions one of sadness. Sora read a sign that was written next to the painting.
"A very merry unbirthday. Sit down to get your present," Sora said reading the words on the sign out loud.
"Yeah, I don't think so," Courier said sarcastically as they entered the house near the tea party. They entered the upside-down room the Cheshire Cat hinted at; the ceiling of the bizarre room. And there the Cheshire Cat was waiting for them.
"They're hiding somewhere," the Cat said grinning. "And the momeraths outgrabe. Want to find the shadows? Try turning on the light," it suggested before vanishing.
"Anyone got a light?" Veronica asked half-joking.
"I got it!" Sora said as he climbed up to one of the lights and with his fire spell, he lit it. The Cheshire Cat reappeared on the other light and said, "It's too dim. Make it brighter. One more lamp you need to light."
Sora lit the other lamp and the Cheshire Cat said "All the lights are on. The Shadows will appear soon. They'll arise in this room, but elsewhere. The Shadows might go after that doorknob too," it said before disappearing.
"What did he mean they might go after the doorknob?" Veronica asked.
"Doesn't matter, he's in danger either way," Dragonborn said to her.
"Then we'd better hurry! Double time!" Courier said as they left the Upside-Down Room, sprinted through the forest, through the Hedge Garden and into the bizarre room. Looking around, they soon spotted the Cheshire Cat standing atop the table. "You'll have a better view from high up," the cat called out to them.
Climbing onto the table, the heroes looked at the Cheshire Cat who said, "The shadows will be here soon," it said daintily dancing its toes on the table. "Are you prepared for the worst?" it asked. "If not, too bad!" it then said pointing up at the ceiling and everyone looked up to see a large Heartless, the Trickmaster, fall down from the ceiling and land on the floor before jumping over the table to stand on its large pointed boots. It stood to its full height towering over the table as its arms then unfolded to a long length. The five stacked heads of the Heartless looked at the heroes with beady yellow eyes before its arms pulled out a large pair of matchsticks and twirled them.
"Safe to assume that's the leader," Courier quipped as she loaded her Holorifle with fresh Microfusion cells.
"Then let's take it down!" Dragonborn said as he drew his sword. The Trickmaster then swung its weapons and nearly hit the group if they had not moved out of the way in time. Courier fired at the Heartless's legs but was dismayed when the shot did nothing.
"Its legs are indestructible!" Courier shouted to the group. Looking at ED-E, Courier said, "Gimme a scan of that Heartless!" ED-E buzzed and chirped in confirmation before scanning the Heartless while everyone fought it trying to find a weak spot.
"Fire!" Sora shouted as he cast a firebolt at the Heartless, but this only succeeded in lighting the matches it held in its hands and with a swing, the Trickmaster cast a large fireball at Sora who yelped as he leapt out of the way, the stench of hair burning as it passed over his head.
Dragonborn noted this and shouted, "Try an ice spell!"
Sora nodded before raised his Keyblade and imagined snow and frost and then he shouted, "Deep Freeze!" a spray of ice crystals shot out from Sora's Keyblade and doused the flames of the Trickmaster's weapons.
ED-E then buzzed and chirped, finished with his scan. Courier nodded and shouted to everyone, "Its head is vulnerable! Aim for the head!"
Aela nocked an arrow to her bow and drew back the bowstring until it strained tautly. Taking a deep breath, Aela released the string and the arrow soared through the air and hit the Trickmaster in one of its five head stacked heads. The Trickmaster shook in pain and it marched towards Aela, intent on crushing her. It then swung its weapon at the redhead but Dragonborn stood in the way and blocked the Heartless's strike with his sword. A loud clang was heard as the Dragonborn stood firm against the Heartless commander.
Veronica then fired her pistol at the Trickmaster's head, injuring it and Serana cast ice spikes at it. Sora then looked at the table and grinned. Sprinting over to the table, Sora jumped and climbed to stand on the table's surface before he shouted, "Hey, ugly! Over here!" The Heartless heard and looked at Sora. "Come and get me, ugly!" Sora yelled as he danced around in a circle to taunt the Heartless. The Heartless then marched over to the table and Sora readied his Keyblade. Courier switched her Holorifle for Medicine Stick and loaded some fresh .45-70 rounds in before lifting the lever and aimed down the iron sights, waiting for the right moment.
"C'mon, come this way," Sora muttered as he prepared for just the right moment to attack. Then just as the Trickmaster beared down on him, Sora swung his Keyblade with all his might and the Courier took the shot. The Keyblade scored a deep line into the Heartless' heads and the Courier's bullet left a gaping hole in the side of one. The Heartless fell back dazed and wounded.
"Now! Hit with everything!" Sora shouted as he leapt from the table and slashed at the Heartless. Dragonborn took in a deep breathe before shouting.
"IZZ SLEN NUS!"
A great wave of ice enveloped the Trickmaster Heartless encasing it in thick ice, leaving it vulnerable to attacks. Everyone attacked the Heartless and soon it exploded and fell back defeated. A large glowing heart burst out of its body and flew away and the Heartless's body faded out of existence.
"That was so cool!" Sora exclaimed as he looked at Dragonborn. "How did you do that?" he asked.
"I'm called the Dragonborn for a reason," Dragonborn replied.
Then a loud yawn caught their attention. "What a racket! How's a doorknob to get any sleep?" Everyone looked and saw the Doorknob yawning widely and in the Doorknob's mouth was a keyhole. Sora's Keyblade shone brightly and as if of its own accord, it raised itself to point at the keyhole in the Doorknob's mouth and a bright white light shot and hit the keyhole followed by a loud clicking noise as the Doorknob finished yawning and went back to sleep.
"Did you hear that?" Sora asked everyone. "It sounded like something closed," he observed.
Then a small green object fell from the Doorknob's mouth and landed in front of the heroes. "What's that?" Sora asked.
"It looks like a piece of the Gummi Ship, but there's something different about it," Veronica said as she looked the object.
"I'll hold onto it for now," Dragonborn said as he picked up the object and stored it in his satchel.
Then the Cheshire Cat appeared on the table. "Splendid. You're all quite the heroes. But, if you're looking for Alice, she's gone! Off with the Shadows. Into darkness," it said with a grin.
"No… we were too late!" Aela cursed bitterly.
Courier looked at the Cheshire Cat and said, "Alright, you stripy furball, it's obvious you've been helping us out, but why not give us a straight answer?!" she demanded.
The Cheshire Cat gave that maddening grin and said, "Now, where's the fun in that?" it asked before disappearing from view.
"God, I hope we never run into that stupid cat again!" Courier muttered. "If I ever see that furball again, I'm turning him into a pair of shoes!" she swore.
"Let's get back to the Gummi Ship," Dragonborn said. "It's been a long day," he added with a hint of weariness in his voice.
"Excuse me?" asked a timid voice and Sora looked to see the Queen of Hearts former subjects.
"What do you all want?" Sora asked cautiously.
The White Rabbit stepped forward and stuttered out, "We wish to thank you for showing us what our queen really was," he said. "The Queen has a younger but kinder sister who has taken in those who escaped the Queen's wrath. We think she'll be a better ruler for Wonderland," he explained.
"Well, good luck to ya," Courier said tiredly.
"We hope your new queen serves you well and more justly," Serana said to the Wonderland people.
"Please tell Miss Alice we were sorry about the trial," one of the Card Soldier said pleadingly. "We didn't want her to go through all that," he added sadly.
"We will," Serana replied.
"Assuming we find her," Courier muttered and Veronica nudged her in the ribs.
As the heroes left the Bizarre Room and headed back to the Gummi Ship, Dragonborn spoke. "So, we're all agreed?" he asked.
"Agreed on what?" Sora looked at Dragonborn.
"That we never come back to this world, unless it's under attack," Dragonborn.
Sora grinned and replied, "Do you even have to say it?"
Soon they reached the Gummi Ship and left Wonderland for the next world.
