Forest Training Ground 9:35 PM
At the tip of two large trees stood two figures. One was a boy with blonde hair and 3 whiskers on each side of his face. The other was also a boy, with black hair and black eyes that in the right condition was able to stare into anybody's soul.
There were a few things that had in common, like the same symbol on their headbands and the fact that both were the same age. There was also one noticeable similarity between the two.
Both were exhausted.
Yes, these two are the two genin, Naruto and Sasuke. As for why they are exhausted, it has to do with the fact that the teens had pushed their bodies to the limit during their training to master the tree walking exercise.
They normally wouldn't have pushed themselves this far, however, the two had recently learned that the newcomer, Izuku, had not only fought their sensei, Kakashi, but also did better than they did when they first fought him around 2 days ago.
This would have normally reignited the determination of the boys, Kakashi decided to take a step further when it came to motivation.
Flashback
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN THIS GUY WAS STRONGER THAN US?!?!" Naruto shouted in anger and surprise.
Kakashi sighs "I didn't say stronger, I just said that he has more battle experiences than you three, making him a better fighter."
Sasuke rolls his eyes as he looks at the green teen, who was currently writing in a journal while muttering very quickly. The Uchiha raises an eyebrow "Is that guy insane?" he mutters to the others as they all turn to watch him continue to write in the journal.
Kakashi nods "Most likely. I wonder where he got that journal from though." He whispers in a low tone so Izuku didn't hear them.
Sakura continues "Is he seriously that strong Sensei? I mean, when we first met, he couldn't even tap into chakra."
Kakashi nods "Trust me, I saw his strength and he's on the skill level of a high experienced genin, maybe even a low chunin."
Kakashi watches as Izuku opens the next page of the journal and continues to write and mutter 'There's more to him though. His Chakra levels are high for someone of his age. Not to mention how many tricks he had. Enhanced speed, strength, those tendril things, the ability to sense me, and the ability to fly make him an formidable opponent.'
Kakashi closes his eyes 'However he's far from perfect. His attacks are predictable, he only manage to capture me due to me dropping my guard at the last second. Not to mention he has a clumsy fighting style, although I can't blame him for that one. That power of his most likely compensates for the lack of effectiveness to it.'
Kakashi let's out a small smirk as an idea pops into his head.
"You know, this kid would make a better genin then you guys." He states nonchalantly.
This causes the three teammates to turn to their sensei in shock as the older man continued. Kakashi pulls out his book "He has the skills and the drive to give me a challenge while the three of you couldn't even make me use a single ounce of my real skills."
Kakashi's one eye turned to Naruto "Who know's, maybe he can become Hokage."
The blonde's eyes widen in surprise.
Kakashi then turned to Sasuke "Still, even if he wasn't trying to, he would have more potential than any Uchiha I've met."
The black haired boy tightened his fist in anger.
Kakashi then turned his gaze over to Sakura "Although with his level of skill and power, I bet he would be great at impressing the people he care for."
Sakura looks down as she processes what her sensei had just said.
Kakashi then closes his one visible eye "Welp, I'm off to keep an eye on Tazuna. Hey Izuku!" he shouted at the green haired boy.
Izuku turns to face the white haired man as he Kakashi began to walk away "I'm about to check on our client. Would you care to join and help out?"
Izuku without hesitation, nods and stands while putting away the book in his pants. Quickly jogging over to the white haired man, Izuku couldn't help but feel as if a target was just placed on his back.
As the two disappear from the view of the three genin, all they could do was stare as the three processed what their sensei had just said.
Sasuke was the first to snap out of it as he turned towards a tree and pulled out a Kunai. Quickly running towards the tree, Sasuke runs up its side as he tries to go higher. After a certain height, his foot begins to slip. However before he bounces off, he quickly slashes the bark of the tree, making how high he had gotten.
This causes his two teammates to return their thoughts to the current moment. Naruto, pulling out a Kunai, does the same as Sasuke. However after marking the bark and jumping back, he notices that his mark was lower than Sasuke by a few inches.
The blonde turns to the black haired boy, who let out a smirk, causing said blonde to growl as he took mutiple steps back and attempted to try once again.
Sakura watches as both her teammates trained and competed with each other, she decided that if she was going to impress Sasuke, than she couldn't slack. So going towards a different tree, she began to walk on the side of said tree, however she began to speed up from a walk to a run, to further improve her chakra control.
Thus, with a statement to each of his students, Kakashi had driven their motivation to the next level. Also making Izuku an unknowing mountain that the three will work hard to surpass and/or conquer.
End Flashback
The two boys look at each other and smile at each other in both exhaustion and victory. The black haired genin speaks "Let's head back."
Naruto shouts back "Yeah!"
Tazuna's House
Izuku quickly set the table as everyone begin to enter the dining room. Kakashi was surpised to see Izuku doing this. While technically he was a guest, the young man would have expected the green haired boy to just be thinking.
Tsunami let out a sigh of exhaustion. The boy had entered, grabbed the plates and utensils, and had begun to set up the table. She had barely had washed her hands before realizing what the teen was doing. This sorta made her feel slightly embarrassed. He and the leaf shinobi were guests, so it was only fair that she set up the dining room.
Once the table was set, everyone went to the same seat that they were seated many nights before while waiting for dinner. During their wait, the pinked haired girl couldn't help but let out her worry "Kakashi Sensei? Shouldn't Naruto and Sasuke-kun be back by now?"
The one eye man looked at the girl "You shouldn't worry Sakura. The two will be back soon. After all, they've been making improvements in the last couple of days, they'll be fine."
Izuku looks at the empty plate deep in thought. Two days ago, after Kakashi and he had left the genin so the three could train, he had walked into town with Tazuna and Kakashi to get supplies for the bridge
He remembered specifically one moment during their trip that haunted his mind.
Flashback
Izuku eyes widen in disbelief and in horror as he walked through the town. He couldn't believe just how anyone could live like this. The town was in terrible shape, buildings barely being held up, multiple holes in shops and decaying wood peeling off certain buildings.
However it wasnt the walls that made Izuku realize the horror of this world. No, it was the state of the people of the village.
Many of them looked to be starving, if not also covered in bugs and other parasites. Their bodies looking frail and exhausted, but the biggest thing he noticed was the look in their eyes.
The lifeless eyes that he could tell were once full of hope and happiness were void of either. The closest thing he had seen to this kind of pain was with Eri.
He then feels a tugging behind him. He quickly turns and sees a little girl looking up at him with a curious look. The child then examines Izuku before focusing on his face, specifically the left side.
Moving his hand to his face, he quickly check to see if he had some dirt, mud, or even smudges of food on his face.
He didn't feel any of that though. Instead, he just felt a permanent mark on his face. A scar, one of the few that he had received after the hospital's destruction when he fought Shigaraki and went all out. Before he escaped.
Izuku, shaking his head slightly to return to his senses, reaches out to the girl.
"Hey it's ok. I wo-"
The girl turns and runs away in fear, seeing Izuku's hand reaching towards her, not even letting the teen finish.
Tazuna, seeing this, let's out a sad sigh
"Because of how Gato and his men has treated us like we're his property, the people here are wary of strangers."
Izuku hearing this looks at the people living here.
Looking at everyone's faces, he sees mutiple reactions; Anger, Cautiousness, surprise. However, there was one thing they all had in common. Fear in their eyes.
Flashback Ends
Izuku still couldn't think of anything else. It wasn't that he just missed Kota and the others he loved, it was more or less the fact that he had unfinished business back home. With Shigaraki and All for One.
They were still there and Izuku does not know if he had beaten him or not. The one thing he does know is that he needs to go home. However he couldn't do it alone.
Izuku looked up to see Kakashi reading his book with a blush on his face.
This made Izuku smile as he had a small flashback of Mineta and Kaminari back at the dorms.
Izuku had no idea about this place, or even how the world works around here. If it means that it could help him home, then he's going to have to put his trust in Kakashi and the others.
Kakashi let's out a small perverted giggle.
Izuku sweatdrops "Even if he is a little strange."
The door suddenly opens, making everyone turn to it, as they see a tired Sasuke helping an equally exhausted Naruto into the building.
With a smirk and a thumbs up, Naruto conveyed a message to Kakashi. He and Sasuke had reached the top of the trees.
This causes Kakashi to smirk. He knew that Sasuke and Naruto would improve quickly when the two worked hard at it.
The two sat down as the food arrived at the table. As everyone began to eat, Izuku noticed that Naruto and Sasuke were eating af a fast rate.
"Ummm guys, i...if you eat that quickly, then you're going to-" Izuku began.
However he was interrupted by the same thing that he had warned them about. Both Sasukes and Narutos cheeks enlarge before the two ending up puking on the floor.
Sakura sitting between the two let out an Yelp of surprised.
Izuku sheepishly chuckles "Throw up." he finishes his last statement aloud.
Sakura faces her two teammates "You idiots. Eat Slower Next Time!" she scolded the two.
After the two wipe their mouths, Naruto places his head on his table to try to recover, while Sasuke tries to coolly play it off by sitting in his seat with his arms crossed.
Izuku goes.back to eating before he notices Inari glaring at everyone.
Tazuna also notices this "You ok Inari?" he asks his grandson in concern.
Inari is quiet as he glares at everyone before speaking "Your training won't change anything. Gato will still win."
Tsunami hears this from the kitchen as she rushes over "Inari!" She shouts at him
However Inari wasn't done as he continued "No matter how much training you do, it won't make a difference, the weak will always lose to the strong, that's how the world works."
Izuku can only feel nostalgia as for a split second, he could see Kota's face in the boy.
Naruto speaks "Well tell yourself that, I guarantee that's not going to happen."
Inari gets angry and shouts at Naruto "Shut Up! You don't know anything about the problems of this country! Always laughing and smiling, what would any of you know what it feels like to suffer?"
Izuku clenches fist in anger. Flashbacks from his quirkless years hitting him hard. Then memories hit from the Leauge of Villains, also the War, and his time as a vigilante.
Kakashi notices this from Izuku and keeps his mouth shut, not knowing to what extent of pain the boy has felt.
Naruto eyes shadow as he speaks "Listen to yourself complain like you're the only victim! You can whine and cry about it all day, You're Nothing But A Coward!" Naruto yells back, as his canines sharpen a bit.
Izuku notices the look on his face and could tell one thing from it. That last statement from Inari hit him hard.
Sakura scolds Naruto, but the blonde just gets up and walks out the house.
Sakura can only mutter his name as he walks away.
Izuku can sense a bit of anger and sadness from what Naruto shouted at Inari. Without saying much else, he gets up and follows him.
"Hey wait! Where are you going?" Sakura shouts at Izuku.
"Let them go Sakura." Kakashi states, causing Sakura to turn to her sensei.
Sakura was confused "Why? Shouldn't Naruto be left alone?" she asks him.
Kakashi nods "In most cases, however I feel that Izuku can comfort him, even if Naruto doesnt realize it." he states. He then looks at a crying Inari, planning to talk to him.
Naruto pants as he jumps back from the tree almost face planting on the floor. After stabilizing himself, he runs up again. He makes it much higher than his first attempt, but does not make it to the top again as he jumps back.
Izuku watches as he notices that he blonde was definitely a hard worker. He decides to walk up to Naruto.
"Hey Naruto." he says, quickly causing the blonde to turn back to him, who looked surprised.
Naruto looks annoyed "What do you want?"
Izuku puts his hands up "N...Nothing, you just seemed upset and I...I...I wanted to check up on you."
Naruto turns back "Well as you can see I'm fine." he says even more annoyed. Izuku could tell this was the case, so he decided to approach the talk even more cautiously.
He decides to change the subject by looking at the tree and noticing the slashes "I see that you've been working hard. You've gotten strong and have improved a lot."
Naruto mutters back loud enough "But not enough for me to match Kakashi-Sensei in a fight."
Izuku smiles "True, but I can't even use chakra."
Naruto chuckles "Yeah that is embarrassing."
Izuku sheepishly chuckles "Yeah it is."
He leans up against a different tree as Naruto continues his tree walking training.
Izuku was thinking about how to comfort the guy. He didn't know him well enough. He doesn't even know how to comfort someone in a situation like this.
It was different with Eri and Kota. At least he knew well enough about their past and how to approach them. Plus saving them made things easier.
"Let's see what we know. He's obviously suffered or at least knows people that have. Either way he knows pain. It would probably be a bad idea for me to try and open him up. Maybe using my own experiences could work. I've never tried it due to keeping One for All a secret, but maybe if I word it differently, then i can comfort while keeping my secret hidden." he thinks to himself.
Izuku looks back at Naruto, who had just lost his footing and landed on his back.
"You know you shouldn't let what Inari said get to yo-" he starts, but was interrupted by the blonde
"Oh don't start with that alright! I'm not trying to hear how I shouldnt have shouted at him and how I was wrong for calling him a coward! Who are you anyway to judge me on how I react anyway?!?!" Naruto shouts at the green haired boy as he breathes hard from both shouting and training.
Izuku stays silent for a moment to let Naruto catch his breathe. Once the latter of the two relaxes, Izuku continues "Actually I wasn't going to say that."
This catches Naruto off guard as he turns to look at the boy.
Izuku continues "I'm not judging you at all. What he boy said clearly got to you. It's understandable, there are lines that while other people can take, most can not."
Izuku looks down at his hand "In fact, the way you reacted, you reminded me of a friend of mine. He has an explosive attitude but when he said hurtful things, for the most part, that was his way of conveying a message. I know that while you called the boy a coward, you didn't mean it out of malicious or hatred."
Izuku then sweatdrops a bit, realizing that if the kid had insulted Bakugou, Inari would have probably gotten cursed out, despite his friend becoming better since middle school.
Izuku looks back at Naruto "I have no idea what you've gone through. I'm not sure what kind of pain you or someone you love has gone through, but I can tell that you're familiar with pain."
Naruto quickly looks down, as Izuku notices his eyes shadow for a minute before the blonde closes them and let's out a smile "I have no idea what you're talking about. Jeez you're weird."
Izuku closes his eyes "I'm not gonna pry. I'm just saying that as someone who has been through his fair share of pain, if you need someone to talk to, I'm here."
Naruto eyes open, surpised that the boy in front of him had understood pain. He didn't look like the type that would.
Yet again, he could just be good at hiding it as Naruto was.
Naruto isn't an idiot. He knows what kind of trauma pain can do to someone. The blonde knows that from experience himself.
Naruto needed to know. Whether it was because he wanted to know if his pain was the same as his, to have someone around that has felt suffering before that wasnt a jerk like Sasuke, or because of his own curiosity, Naruto didn't know.
All he knew was that he wanted to know Izuku's pain, so he asked "Do you mind telling me your pain?"
Naruto knew he probably wouldnt get an answer. Had anyone asked him about the pain he gets from the villagers, he would deflect the questions as to not worry them. He would understand completley if he got no answer.
Izuku also knew this. Normally he would keep his mouth shut about his past, he did it with his friends and family so he didnt worry them. So Izuku knew just by the look in the blondes eyes that he didn't need to answer.
Yet things were different now.
After all that has happened ever since entering U.A, Izuku has changed from the shy boy who loved studying quirks to a young man who was willing to risk his life to protect people, good, evil, or even those in the middle.
Plus...he'd be a hypocrite for wanting Naruto to open up, yet he kept things to himself.
Izuku began "Where I come from, people are born with the ability to gain a superpower or abilities as they grow older. Usually around 4 year old is when these powers start to manifest."
He demonstrates by using OFA making his body brighten up a bit. Naruto focused on the sparks that surrounded the teens body.
"Depending on what the parents abilities were, it ranges from either having a similar ability to one of them, or having a combination of the two. One of my close friends has a mom that can use ice while his father can use fire. As a result when his power manifested, he could use both simultaneously." Izuku continues.
He smiles as he gets a flashback of his fight with Todoroki during the festival. Even with using 100 percent on his arm, Todoroki still managed to pull out a win.
Naruto eyes shined, the ability to use ice and fire sounded so cool in his eyes.
Izuku proceeds "Back when I was a kid, my power didn't manifest like it did with the other kids, so my mother took me to see a doctor that specializes in the superpowers in us. The doctor told me that I was...powerless." Izuku finishes with a shake to his voice.
While he did have a quirk and has proven himself a hero, he can't forget a moment in his life where that wasn't always the case. A moment that still hurt.
Naruto noticed this. Although he was confused. He saw the guy fly, have strong strength, and apparently was able to keep up with Kakashi. So was the doctor wrong?
Izuku tightened his fist as he continued "From that moment on, everything changed in my life. I was treated like an outcast. All I ever wanted to be was a hero as a kid. Yet how could I do that without a power? At first it didn't bother me, however when mostly everyone else had a special gift and you didn't, well it made me question myself."
Izuku remembers the burns and bruises from his old friend and his cronies "Everyone turned against me because of something out of my control. Even my childhood best friend belittled and bullied me. But I still had my dream."
Naruto begins to relate to him. He knows the feeling of being seen as an outcast. For being hated for something out of his control.
He remember what Mitzuki told him.
"The secret that you're forbidden to know is that the Nine Tailed Fox is inside you! You're the Nine Tailed Fox spirit that killed so many people all those years ago!"
He eyes darken a bit before lighting up so he could hide the painful memory.
Izuku saw this and mentally slapped himself 'Stupid Midoriya! You brought a bad memory back up for him! Damn it maybe I should sto-'
"What happened after that? You clearly got a power." Naruto states surprising the curly haired teen.
Izuku was stunned at first, but continued, letting out a cough before starting "My dream never left, although my childhood friend and many others reminded me that it seemed like a pointless effort. It wasn't that much better at home either. While my mom didnt hate me or abuse me due to this, she also didnt believe in my dream either."
Izuku looks down at his hand "One day, when I walking back home, a sludge villain came and captured me, intended to use my body as a host for it. That's when the Number one hero came and saved my life. At this point, I had questioned everything and I feel that if anyone could give me the answers that i was looking for it was him."
He looks at Naruto as the blonde looked curious at Izuku.
"What did he say?"
The freckled boy sighed "He said...
"I can't rightly say "You can be a hero if you believe in yourself." It would be cruel and a lie. You should work to be a police officer or a firefighter. They may not get the same recognition, but at least they help people. It's perfectly fine to have dreams, but at least make sure those dreams are realistic."
Naruto eyes widen. The boy in front of him had his dreams belitted by not only his family and friend, but also the number one hero from where he's from.
While everyone belittled his dreams, at least there were a few that did believe it was achievable or didn't belittle him for it.
Naruto asked "Did you give up?"
Izuku smiled "At first, yes. After that I had officially given up. However things changed when my childhood friend was in trouble by the same villain that tried to take over my body. As if instinct kicked in, when I saw the look of fear in his eyes I ran to try to help. During the process, the number one hero came and saved me and my friend."
His eyes shine as the next memory hits enters his mind "After the incident, I continued to walk home, but that's when the same hero that told me that my dream wasn't realistic approached me. He not only apologized but said the very thing that reignited my dream once again.
"Young Man...You too can be a Hero."
Izuku looks back at Naruto as the blonde looked at the green haired boy in a new light.
"Like I said, you don't have to apologize or explain your story to me. I just want you to know that if you need someone, I'll be here." Izuku states as he gets up.
"Well I'll be heading off to bed. I just wanted to make sure you're ok. Just remember to return back in time, I don't want any of your friends to be worried when we wake up." He states as he begins to walk away.
"Hey Iziku!" Naruto shouts after the boy
Izuku turns with a sweatdrop "It's actually Izuku..." he mutters back.
Naruto let's out a smile "Thank you. I feel a little better."
Izuku smiles back "No problem." he responds as he walks back to the house.
Tazuna's House
The following morning, Izuku was a little surpised that Naruto had not returned yet. Of course the teen wanted to look for him, but Kakashi reassured him that Naruto would be fine and return.
10 minutes after saying that, Naruto had returned. He even mentioned how he met a nice girl who he helped pick some medicinal herbs which Izuku found nice.
Naruto went up to the upper rooms to take a nap, while Izuku kept Tsunami company down stairs with Inari, who seemed different after last night.
Tsunami looks at the time "Oh dear, I need to pick up some herbs from the river. I need them for the Ramen tonight."
Izuku looks at the older woman "Oh I can help, you can prepare the noodles, and I'll grab the herbs."
Tsunami tries to refuse, but Izuku insists "It'll be no trouble. You're helping Naruto and the others after all, besides your father gave me clothes to wear, it's the least I can do."
The older woman sighs "Ok, the herbs you're looking for grow by the river about a 15 minute walk from here. They're a small plant with an purple stem, easy to see."
Izuku nods getting up and begins to walk to the door.
"Wait, before I forget." Tsunami says as she runs into the kitchen and comes back out with a bucket.
"I usually stock up so I don't have to costantly go down the river, can you please fill this up with the herbs?" she asks.
Izuku let's out a nod "Of course."
Grabbing the bucket, he acted OFA at 8 percent and began leaping to locate the river. Around 9 minutes later, he found it, quickly landed almosting crashing into the water.
Izuku looks at his hand and gains an idea. Seeing the many herbs in front of him, he sets the bucket down and backs away from it.
He then activates black whip with one hand and gently grabs all the herbs and places them the bucket. He walks over to inspect the herbs and sees that they're fine, with a little issues around the stems. He looks back down at his hand.
'Ever since coming here, my control over One for All has changed. It's as if, my body is adapting to it at a faster rate. Not to mention, the other quirks are becoming easier to use. Was it because I came here?' Izuku thinks to himself as he picks up the bucket. He then activates OFA and prepares to jump but stops.
A sudden sharp pain enters his mind. Danger Sense activated. He quickly follows the direction that the the quirk is leading him and came to a scary realization.
It's coming from Tazuna's house "Oh no." Izuku mutters before he activates 20 percents and leaps in that direction.
As he gets closer and closer to the house, the sharp pain suddenly decreases.
He reaches their house and finds them in the part of the property where the had a dock near the river.
He makes it in time to see thugs knocked out with Inari and Naruto with a tied up Tsunami.
Izuku lands and sprints to the three, dropping the bucket in the process.
"Are you guys ok? What Happened?" He asks concerned for their being.
Naruto looks at him "Yeah, I woke up to hear a commotion outside and heard these chumps talking about how Gato sent them and whatnot, so I showed them how strong I was."
Izuku sighs and he walks over to Tsunami and checking her pulse.
"She's ok." he mutters to himself.
He quickly picks her up and takes her inside with Naruto and Inari.
As he lays her down, Izuku looks back at Inari "What happened?"
Inari began. He explained how after Izuku left, the two guys knocked out on the porches arrived and said that he worked for Gato. They then said something about sending a message to Tazuna. Bfore they could go through with it, Naruto arrived and save them.
Izuku nods processing the information as he gets up. He walks outside to see the two men are still knocked out.
He then turns to Naruto "Hey Naruto, do you have anything to tie them up with?"
The blonde nods as be pulls out rope and starts to tie up the two men.
Izuku raises an eyebrow "Where did you get the rope?"
Naruto let's out a cheeky grin "You never know when someone deserves to be prank. Plus I was hoping to get a little revenge on Kakashi and the others for leaving me tied up."
Izuku's face gains a confused look 'Why was he tied up in the first place? Wait Izuku questions for later!'
Once the two men are tied up, Izuku uses black whip and moves them to the edge of the dock.
Naruto is bugging out "What other powers do you have?!?!"
Izuku smiles "Questions for later. Naruto I need you to tell Kakashi what happened here. He's at the bridge with Tazuna and the others."
Naruto looks at the teen "What about you?"
Izuku looks down at the two men as he clenches his fist "I'm going to get some answers."
Naruto nods, trusting the teen as he makes his way over to his team, telling Inari to be safe as he runs to the bridge.
Izuku looks at the boy "Go inside and stay with your mom. Tell me if anything changes of her condition."
Inari listens and heads inside as Izuku looks back at the two men.
He walks up to them and squats down. He goes to the one, who has gray hair, and opens up his eyelids.
'Whatever Naruto did to these guys really knocked them out. However I may have something that could work.' Izuku thinks to himself as he runs back into the house.
Entering the room he sleeps in, he pulls out his damaged hero suit. Looking into one of the compartments in his hero suits belt, he finds the item he was looking for.
Coming back outside with the item, he opens his hand 'Due to him losing his consciousness, I can't simply wake either of them up with water. However due to development in medicinal items due to intelligent quirks, the creation and improvement of certain items have become very potent. I do have something that All Might supplied me with after I left U.A.'
Looking down, Izuku smiles remembering how useful it was during his vigilante time.
Smelling salts.
Breaking it down, he quickly bring the item to the white haired man's nose. A few moments later, the man is startled awake.
Izuku does the same for his ally, who was had an eye patch and a weird hairstyle.
The both of them, being awakened, looked around confused before laying their eyes on Izuku.
"Afternoon gentlemen, nice to see both of you are awake." Izuku states staring at both of them.
The gray haired man tries to move, but realizes that he and his ally are tied up.
"What the hell?!?! Hey untie us Kid!" He shouts at Izuku.
The green haired boy shakes his head "That's probably not a good idea."
The man with the weird hair growls "Why the hell not?!?!"
Izuku sighs "Well it probably has to do with the fact that you just tried to kill an innocent woman and child. So forgive me if I'm not jumping at the chance to set you both free."
The gray haired male glares "Kid trust me, you dont want to piss us off. Just let us go and maybe we'll forget you're little tough guy act."
Izuku glares back "Why hello pot, my names kettle, have we met?" he replies with Venom in his voice.
The man with the eyepatch looks at his ally "Dude let me do the talking!"
The gray haired man rolls his eyes as the eyepatch man looked at Izuku "Ok kid, let's make a deal. Let us go, and you'll get yourself some money. With you living in a place like this, it seems like you could use it."
Izuku looks at him "Tempting, but I have another offer. Answer some questions for me and maybe I don't drown you and your friend into the river."
The gray haired man laughed "HAH, Nice Try! But you're no killer! Look at you, you're just a weak kid."
Izuku looks at his hand "Maybe..."
He activates Black Whip, making the tendril quickly wrap around the two men and hangs them upside down, a few inches above the water's surface.
The action causes both men to quickly be afraid as they look back at Izuku "Yet again, I probably don't look like the type who can do something like this either. So I'll ask only once."
Izuku then decides to do a little trick he learned during his time as a vigilante. He then begins to apply a little bit of OFA into his eyes.
Izuku's eyes suddenly change, turning the sclera of his eyes pure black as his Irisis brighten up more, changing his eyes from innocent look to one of pure malicious intent.
"Are you going to answer my questions, Yes or No?" he states as he slowly lowers them closer to the water with the tendrils slowly being wrapped around the two men tighter.
They both nod, with the gray man screaming "Oh god, yes we'll talk! Please don't kill us!"
Izuku stops lowering them as the tendrils become a little looser.
Izuku speaks "First question. Who sent you?"
The eyepatch man speaks "G...Gato!"
Izuku looks down in thought 'No surprise, from everything I've heard and seen, this guy is the obvious suspect when it comes to hired thugs. But why this family specifically?'
During Izuku's time here, he figured out that Kakashi and the others were bodyguards for Tazuna. He needs to know what is going on and why.
"Ever since I've met this family, Tazuna needed bodyguards, and you two being sent after his family doesn't help lower my curiosity. Why?" Izuku asks, still not letting the men go.
The one eyed man quickly sees this as an opportunity to lie and get the boy on his side.
"Our b...boss is trying to get the old man to surrender. He's creating a bridge that will bring bandits to the village and destroy it completely. He's an evil man."
The tendrils wrapped themselves even tighter around the two as Izuku glares harder "Nice try, but I've seen how the village is! What I've been told is that your colleagues and your boss caused it! Now The Truth!"
"It's because Gato is corrupt!"
Izuku turns to who shouted and sees Tsunami standing barely leaning up against the door for support.
The gray haired man, now seeing with his friend was doing, quickly tried to lie "That Whore is Lying! She's working with hi-"
He is interrupted by Izuku using black whip to cover his mouth as his sclera turns back to white "Tsunami, are you ok?" he asks concerned.
Tsunami ignores the worry and continues to speak as she walks towards Izuku "Gato is a corrupt businessman who had drain our village of our profits. Not only is he a cruel bastard, but a coward who pays others to fight his battles! He's the reason my husband is dead!" she finishes stopping 5 feet away from the teen.
Izuku eyes widen in shock 'Is that the reason why Inari responded to us the way that he did? Just like Kota.'
Izuku then gets a flashback of memories of seeing the hopeless look on the villagers faces, how easily they were scared of him.
His sclera turns black again as he turns to the two men in his clutches "The two of you tried to lie to me...I should just end you..."
Black Whip begins to tighten tighter and tighter around the two. He knows now who he is aiming for.
"I'll give you one chance to save yourself. Where is Gato?"
The gray haired man speaks "I dont know!"
Izuku glares harder "You must be suicidal!"
The one eye man yells back "We don't know where is he. Honest! But we do know where he's going to be."
Izuku looks at the man and nods. The man takes this as sign and continues to speak "He's going to be at the bridge dealing with loose ends!"
Izuku tilts his head "Loose ends?"
The gray man nods "Yeah! A guy with a giant sword and a black haired girl!"
Izuku eyes widen. He doesn't know the girl, but the man he knew about. Zabuza if he remembered correctly.
Izuku at the two 'Why is this Zabuza a loose end? From how it sounds he is working for Gato. What does that mean?"'
Izuku hardens his look "Explain Now."
The gray haired man speaks "Gato hired them to deal with Tazuna, however its different compared to us. We are affordable and Ninjas like that guy and girl are expensive. While Gato is rich enough to afford them, he likes saving his money. He didn't get rich by hiring and paying expensive fighters!"
Izuku glares even harder "So Gato is planning on killing them?" he mutters with hate.
The both of them nod, fearing for their lives.
Izuku thinks if he had anymore questions. Realizing he doesnt, he bring the two men back onto the docks letting black whip disappear.
The two looked relived that they weren't going to die. They then gain a look of confusion as they see sparks come off of Izuku before the teen jump and punch the both of them in the face, knocking them out.
Izuku powers down as his eyes return to normal. He turns back to Tsunami and runs up to her "Are you ok?"
Tsunami nods "Yeah, just a little tired from that hit."
Izuku nods as he helps escorts her inside. As the two walked, Tsunami looks at the boy "Hey, did you actually mean it when you said that you should end them?"
Izuku stops to look at her being letting out a small chuckle "No, it was just a threat. Honestly I was lucky they believed me when I had started. If they hadn't, I wouldnt have gotten the answers that i needed." he states.
Tsunami inwardly sighs in relief. The boy next to her seem kind and sweet. She would have hated seeing him as a monster.
As Izuku sets her down on a chair, he runs upstairs.
Around a minute later, he returns with his torn hero costume, still missing both his sleeves from his last battle from Shigaraki.
"Tsunami I need you to stay here with Kota." He states walking towards the main door.
The older woman immediately got worried "Where are you going?"
Izuku turns back "I'm going to help the others. Something that the two guys said worried me. I'm not sure about the guy with the giant sword, but there is a girl ninja out there and they will be gunning for your dad. I need to warn Kakashi and the others or at least try and stop her. Plus Gato will be there, so his evil will end now."
Tsunami tries to protest, but before she could get a word out, Izuku powers up OFA once again and leaps in the direction of Kakashi and the others.
As Izuku continues to follow where Danger Sense was leading him, a voice speaks from his head.
"Yo Kid, how are you holding up?" asks the 5th user, Banjo
"Emotionally, physically, or mentally?" Izuku responds outloud.
There is a moment of silence before the 5th speaks again "Yes?"
A smacking sound is heard, which was loud enough for Izuku to wince due to the forced needed to make the sound.
"Banjo! Come on, you're terrible at emotional conversations." The voice of the 7th user, Nana responded to Banjos answer.
Banjo shouted back "Just because you're a newer user than me, doesnt mean that you're allowed to smack me! Show me respect!'"
Izuku interrupts them "Uhmmmm, guys don't mean to break up the arguement, but you guys wanted to talk." he finishes as he lands on a large branch.
Nana deciding that Banjo was bad at this job, speaks for him "It's just that you were angry and your emotions haven't been the best these last couple of days."
Izuku sighs. He knows what she is talking about.
"No. I mean, there is a lot of pressure. I have no way home that I know of, there possibly as bad if not worse types of villains here, and to top it all off, if Naruto hadn't been there for Tsunami and Inari, who knows if I would have made it in time."
Izuku suddenly feels a sensation around his body as if he's being hug. Nana's voice continues 'It's ok to feel like that. These are confusing times. Yet we are proud that you're still fighting a good fight. Even after that white haired cyclops challenged you to a fight."
Izuku chuckles "That's mean."
Nana smiles 'It's going to be ok though Izuku. We're going to figure this out.'
Izuku then remembers"Have you guys had any luck awakening any of the other users?"
Izuku feels Nana's frown as the first speaks 'Unfortunately not Deku. It seems that when we came through that tear, it seemed to have done something to the other users. It's as if their stuck in this cage.'
"Isn't there a way to wake them up? If it was possible to put them to sleep then surely we can reverse it." He asks as he leaps towards the direction of the bridge.
The first speaks 'I have a multitude of theories. One is to go through the tear once again.'
"We don't have that as an option." Izuku states, using black whip to swing from branch to branch.
The first replies 'I know, but if any of the other theories dont work, then we need to replicate what caused that tear just in case. Which brings me to the next theory, going to the max of 100 percent of OFA'
Nana interjects 'Which is a bad idea!'
'I also concur with her.' The first agrees.
Banjo decides to speak 'I came up with the idea. I believe that if you were to use it at the maximum, then it might be like an alarm clock to force the others to awaken!'
Izuku lands on the ground "Not a bad idea. However if it doesnt work we need a new idea."
Izuku can feel Banjo get a smug smile and smirked to himself. At least he had people to talk to from where he's from.
'The last theory is probably the only one that is the most sound.' says the first.
Izuku jumps up to the highest branch to see if he's close to the bridge "What is it?"
'Another theory is similar to Banjos. However instead of doing One for All, you use the maximum output of the quirks inside OFA and try to break your limits of your capability with the quirk.' The first explains.
Izuku sees part of the bridge off in the distance and continues leaping "That's also a good idea, although it might be a little tricky."
Izuku leaps onto a branch "While I can see some quirks being easy like Fa Jin. The. there are harder quirks like Danger Sense."
'Isn't Danger Sense active? It should be easy to at least wake up Hikage with it.' Nana asked.
"It's not that simple. I can sense the danger in front of me, however the pain isnt enough yet for it to push the quirk to its limits. With all we've faced so far here, nothing has been enough to push the quirk to the most painful point, and I doubt I'll find anything that can anytime so-"
Izuku had began, but suddenly the pain in his head suddenly increased to a new limit as Izuku jumped midair. Izuku grips his head as a scream almost escapes his lips as he crashes into the ground.
He grits his teeth, trying to surpass a yell when he couldn't anymore and screams in pain.
'Izuku what's happening?!?! Danger Sense is going AWOL! Are you Ok? IZUKU!!!!' Nana tries to get the 9th holder's attention.
Izuku with tears in his eyes reply "I don't know...Danger Sense is reacting, Badly to something. It's coming from the bridge. I can't stop the pain." He finishes as he punches the ground to distract from the pain.
Meanwhile
Deep in the depths of OFA, in a walkway, lays a white haired man with a scar on his left eye.
As he lays in slumber, his eyes twitches. Vague conversations entering his mind.
'Danger Sense i...AWOL? Are y...K?...KU!!'
'I don't kn...nse is reac...the bridge...'
With hearing the couple of words and realizing who the person's voice belong to, the man opens his eyes and sits up.
Hikage Shinomori, the 4th user of One For All, has awakened.

And Holy Shit, did it take so long to update. I am so sorry. I'm not gonna lie, I probably could have finished and release this chapter sooner, but I got lazy and wanted to relax from school and work.
Anyway, wow a lot has happened in my hero academia. With the traitor revealed, Deku's returned, and Stars and Stripes, this has been a crazy few month for us MHA fans.
Plus Boruto got a few good episodes of amazing fight scenes, good episodes, and sadness. RIP Kurama.
I'm not saying I like Boruto, but I'll admit when a show does something good.
Anywho, here we are with chapter 4 of Heroic Shinobi.
I'll be working on the next chapter of Hero's pride after releasing this so hopefully this will be updated soon.
Anyway it's nice to be back in a writing way.
